"Boat Drinks Bar uses rich coconut milk instead of the ice cream base and incorporates multiple island rums. The bar is a brightly colored haven where Rob and Whitney whip up refreshing beverages with balance and flair." - Carrie Honaker

"This nautical, “super fun and kitschy” raw bar in historic downtown St. Augustine gets the stamp of approval from Miles Macquarrie, beverage director for Kimball House and Watchman’s Seafood and Spirits. “They have all sorts of like frozen mojitos, Miami vices, and [it’s] just a super fun kind of Florida cocktail bar,” he says." - Kris Martins

Great place for drinks and apps. Highly recommend the plantain chips 'n dips. It was so good with our Margaritas. Friendly staff would love to go back someday.

As a local, this is one of the best spots to chill, grab some excellent drinks, enjoy some extremely fresh oysters, and relax. Limited menu as it's a bar, but the bartenders are incredibly personable, and the ambiance is on point. We love taking our out of town guests here for a great experience- every time.

First this place does not feel like a tourist trap bar. It’s amazing and has an awesome vibe. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We had several drinks, the fish dip and Brussels sprouts. Hands down the best BS I’ve had. Very flavorful and not greasy. A must stop.

Our server/ bartender Joel was top tier. He was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating for allergies. He brought such positive energy and was cool, calm, and collected, really knew his stuff! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was unreal. The restaurant and bar is tropical and beautiful and has such a fun vibe. 10/10 we will be back again!

The new Boat Drinks is bigger and better than ever. The smash burger is killer and you can never go wrong with the oysters. Don't miss out on the plantains platter.

First time here and luckily we tried it before the move to their new location! We were able to chat with the owners and bartenders and it was absolutely amazing. The vibe fits so well into the area and the food and drinks matched that! I look forward to seeing them flourish in their new location and will most certainly visit when it's open!

Not sure there's much worse than restaurant owners who will disrespect and disregard their customers opinions as much as the owners Rob Crabtree and/or Whitney Hobbs seem to be doing here with reviews. But here I go, I guess I'll get it next :-) We visited for the first time with friends and we were massively underwhelmed. Place was SUPER noisy inside and wasn't that busy, so that was off putting to start with. Tried the (Expensive) Charbroiled Oysters which had barely been charbroiled at all, the bottom of the Oysters were cold. Other menu items were not available because the server said they were closed the following few days so were running some items out. Certainly made us question the freshness of what we could order. Drinks were "OK" I'd say, (again pricey) and not the "wow-factor" you'd expect at all for a $15 cocktail. Lastly Service. Not sure what the owners are going for, but hip / relaxed / casual servers are fine, as long as they do a great job. Our server was cool and all that, but really didn't revisit us at all to check on things or offer extras / drinks etc. So generally disappointing experience we left hungry and thirsty. I feel they either need to lower their price to match the experience (or) improve food offerings /portions / quality and add a wow-factor of their drinks. Otherwise we won't have any interest to return. Finally, if the owners are going to be so petty in regards to their customers feedback and refuse to make adjustments, then everyone should visit Boat Drinks NOW, because my guess is they won't be around for long.

What a fun bar! We came here specifically for the coconut margarita. Wow, tequila, coconut, lime, pineapple, and seawater(?), what's not to love! The staff is fun and friendly, and the food is terrific. Our party loved the oysters, and the chips and dips were made using plantains, pimento cheese and caribbean caviar. We will definitely be back to work our way through this menu!
