Boathouse Cafe

Used to be a real restaurant, now, under new management, it's a glorified snack shop. Like 3 things on the menu, slow as hell to get your food, nothing for vegetarians, and even basic food is bad...like the soggy, grease-drenched fries. Still a great place to sit with a beer, but don't count on the restaurant to complete the experience. A sad slide for a place that used to be pretty good.

Nice location and view. The food is nothing special and took a long time. The nice thing is that they have a liquor license so you can come here and enjoy a drink or beer in the park.

Great coffee, delicious lemon cake. Loved sitting on the terrace overlooking the lagoon. They have burgers and chicken options plus bottled beer.

I was a recent customer, and I must say the new waiter was exceptional nice and accommodating. There is a spectacular view on the patio that is absolutely breath taken. The service was great. The food came fast. And was delicious. I had with my boyfriend the steak and eggs and the Nutella stuffed French toast. It was super yummy! I would visit again, and many time after.

Awesome spot to stop and grab coffee, food or a drink. Lots of outdoor seeting with a nice view of the park and lagoon.

I really wanted to love this place! It's a beautiful location, near by and thought it could become my morning stop when I walked my daughter. I stopped in during our afternoon walk and ordered a grille cheese... simple enough? I waited 45 minutes for my food and there were only 2 other people there. I gave them a 2nd chance and went back and the experience was similar. In addition to the wait, the staff seemed to need additional training. I wish them luck... who knows , I may just try them again.

Beautiful atmosphere, it took a little bit long to get our order but the wait staff was very hospitable and friendly. Nice music in the background and a serene scenery of the little river. This will be my new favorite hang out. The food was great too.

Great atmosphere and food!! And the service was really great, too. I'm so happy to see such a nice place right in the center of Humboldt Park. My only recommendation is for them to have some music on the patio! It was so quiet during our meal, it would have been nice to have some background music playing.
