Best Bars and Restaurants in South Lake Tahoe | Eater SF

"The key to maximizing your enjoyment at the Boathouse on the Pier in the summer is to get there for the afternoon happy hour (daily, from 3 to 6 p.m.). Then you can sip discounted drinks on a picnic table on the longest pier in Tahoe while watching people boat, kayak, and paddle board around the lake. If you go for dinner, be sure to arrive well before the sun goes down and grab a seat on the top deck for maximum romance (or by a window during cold weather). Like almost every restaurant with a view in Tahoe, the prices aren’t cheap, but the fish tacos are reasonable, though it’s worth it to shell out a little more for the Cajun shrimp boil pasta, “a Tahoe twist on the Southern classic.”" - Julie Brown Davis

The Boat House is truly a spectacular restaurant. The pasta they serve here is simply exceptional—every bite is a delight. Pairing it with a glass of wine while enjoying the breathtaking lake view creates an unforgettable experience. Dining here feels like floating on the water, surrounded by mountains and immersed in a mesmerizing atmosphere. The combination of stunning scenery, exquisite food, and outstanding service makes this place absolutely remarkable. A special mention to our server, Ally—she was incredibly kind and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. Her warm and friendly service amplified the magic of this place. We are on vacation from Florida, but without a doubt, we will be back. This place is a hidden gem that should not be missed!

Google
A brilliant place to watch the sunset. The sun reflects directly from the outside tables. Brilliant wine selection and cocktails. The food was superb. Punches well above its weight for Lake Tahoe. Definitely visit. Service superb - shoutout to Amanda.

Excellent service from one incredibly friendly staff member who made our dinner memorable and offered great tourist recommendations. Delicious food with good portions at reasonable prices, plus a fantastic ambiance with beach views. Dog-friendly!

The food and appetizers are OK, the service is terrible. I arrived with a reservation for my husband's birthday and I had the worst experience. My reservation was at 8:30, I had to wait an hour to be seated, no one tells you to wait a moment or anything, no one looks at you, they ignore you. We ordered food and after an hour and half they brought it to me. We had no plates to eat on, no fork or knife, we had to eat with our hands. Do you think that's possible? I do not recommend this place at all. Bad service, my first time at this place and horrible treatment and experience. If you have plans to go there, cancel it because you are going to waste your time and the prices are not affordable. 2 people serving 8 tables. The food was unsalted and tasteless. The pasta was very bad.

Cute hidden spot with amazing views! Iveta was the best and should be employee of the year 🥳 We had great drinks, good food, and a nice view of the lake. We missed sunset, but would be the perfect spot! Will for sure be back next time we’re in town.

Google
Had such a wonderful experience Food was delicious, atmosphere & view was amazing. Our server, Ally took such great care of us and was amazing at handling the entire place on her very own. She made our group feel very special and was so sweet to help make our two friends birthday dinner great! Will absolutely come back whenever I am back in town

Google
Incredible views, especially for sunset. Our server, Iveta, was particularly helpful!! She was attentive and nice and even helped me recover an item I left at the restaurant. We came back two nights in a row because it had the best views. The drinks were especially great!

The view was absolutely stunning, perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The food was delicious. Our server Ally was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience

Yelp
Where do I even start?? I came by myself and sat at the bar and was blown away by the breathtaking views of the lake. So close I felt like I could dive right out of the window! I was immediately greeted by Brandon The Bartender where he whipped me up a lovely coconut cocktail and I was in heaven. I ordered the clam chowder and it was super chunky and delicious then decided I needed to try the Beach Tacos filled with grilled mahi and I blinked and they were gone. To top it all off I was casually greeted by the manager Riley and she could not have been nicer. This nautical themed gem of a restaurant definitely picked the right captain. To be honest I was skeptical reading prior bad reviews but this is my new favorite spot. I will be back for the food, to say hello to new my new friends Riley and Brandon as well as those epic fish tacos! 10/10 just Go

Yelp
We wanted to dine somewhere close to our hotel after a full, tiresome day at Kirkwood. So after changing our attire and relaxing a bit, we decided on a lake excursion to the shore and dining at a well recommended place. Our concierge told us about Boathouse on the Pier and we decided to go there, although the forecast called for a foot of snow in South Lake Tahoe and three to four feet of snow in the highlands, but supposedly the storm wouldn't hit until after we were back home. Trust the weatherman...... We entered the restaurant just as a gorgeous sunset was shining above menacing storm clouds over the lake. Heck, we figured at least a couple of hours before the storm, so let's eat! We were seated immediately, a part of six, with reservations made the same afternoon. We admired the deck seating and wondered how awesome it would be on a nice cool evening with the sunset.... Ally was our host, waitress and bar hostess. I am (well deservedly) giving five stars because of the exemplary service, great ambiance and delicious food, but... a couple of additional staff would be just the icing on the cake. We had four tables full during our visit, I can imagine on a sunny day, it would be critical mass... The cocktails were outstanding, summery, often experimental. I had a special Margarita that left me wanting more. The other guests had Negronis, different mixes with Aperol, etc. It was a great beginning to a great night. Then the appetizers started rolling in; their succulent Sushi Bites, which are lightly and tenderly battered, Surimi, Avocado, Rice, Wasabi ginger, and Wasabi soy. Superb! We also had the Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts, crispy, aromatic and very tasty, and finally the Baked Brie, with came with pears, roasted garlic, toasted almonds, fig jam and grapes. And then there were the main courses. A splendid assortment of delicacies. I haven't tried Chilean Sea Bass in an eon, and there it was, delicately sautéed with white wine lemon butter, over a bed of wheat berry vegetable melange. Delicious. Another in our party had the Filet Mignon, deliciously medium-rare, with a red wine Demi glaze, and grilled asparagus. The Linguini with Chicken Breast was also yummy, and even their Fish and Chips came with a monumentally sized piece of haddock and delicious chips. Of course, their wine list was par for the course and we chose both a Napa White and Red. And then as we were bloated, Ally came out with the Carrot Cake and Pineapple Sorbet dishes that ended up being totally eaten.... But meanwhile as we were joyfully enjoying our dinner, the storm had moved in. By the time we left, there must have been a good 8 inches on the ground and our hotel was almost at the base of the ski area Tramway. Sporty climb up the street...... A truly wonderful evening. Ally is the best. Great food and ambiance. Again, hopefully in the summer they hire a couple more people......

Yelp
Great view, good drinks. Horrible service, disgusting food. I would've been happier eating gas station sushi on the beach next to it than I was on the patio of that place.

Carly J.

Yelp
Who is the owner of this place? Who is the manager of this place? You gotta hire more people.. !!! Not enough people to service, people taking order are also bartending. You have good food but we work hard for our money and would have rather gone somewhere else with better service! Who is the manager on a Friday and Saturday night? Total waste of time. Don't overbook if you can't service

Yelp
In the middle of a wonderful day on the lake, we decided to get lunch and a cocktail at Boathouse. We were lucky to find a bouy and enjoyed a quick skiff ride to the pier. Dining area was crowded both inside and out, so we opted for bar seating. Seemed that they were short of help, but the very personable bartender took it in stride and made us the best spicy Bloody Mary's not long after we sat down We ordered the steak tacos, which were wonderful, and a huge cheeseburger with fries, that was huge and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous lake views from our seats. The ambiance was beach casual, which was fine with us and the restaurant was clean. The staff, although extremely busy, were very friendly and our wait time was minimal (which gave us more time to enjoy the view!) Boathouse is a hidden gem in SLT, and we're really glad that we tried it!

David B.

Yelp
Best fried calamari! Fish and chips, boathouse cheeseburger were also fantastic. Specialty fries did not cost an arm or a leg. Delicious beers on tap and excellent, pleasant service!

Yelp
Average food, good service, great sunset view, parking is a challenge. Mahimahi was meh, under seasoned, not smoky. The sides that came with it were better: mix of diced red bell pepper, pineapple, onions, apple? Avocado was great, a glass of Cellar chardonnay to wash it down. The ambiance was cozy inside, but the prized seatings are at the outside balcony for which there are only about 6 tiny tables (2 chairs each). These face almost directly West so the sun was brutal even at 6 pm. I managed to secure a parking in the small lot next to the pier/beach area. There were some iffy looking peeps in the parking lot smoking stuff but my car was intact upon my return. Otherwise you have to find ST parking. Mostly beach goers in this area with a beach front sunset bar to boot.

Yelp
We booked a reservation for our anniversary and valentines day dinner at this place. They sat us down quickly and gave us the best seat in the house. Food was phenomenal. Our server, Iveta, she was very pleasant and kind she helped us decide what food to try and helped us with wine pairing. The view was excellent. They have outdoor seating but it was snowing the day before so it wasn't really ideal to sit outside. I thought it will be more expensive but it was reasonable. If y'all want to try this place go ask for Iveta.

Yelp
My husband and I went here our first night in town. Google review gave it 4.1 stars and over 800 reviews. I should have checked Yelp. I called for a reservation but they won't take reservations for less than 4. When we got there they asked if we had a reservation! First clue. We sat at a table in the bar which did have a nice view. They were exceedingly short staffed on a Tuesday and I watched as all the staff just kept piling glasses at the end of the bar. Second clue. We sat there for about 20 minutes before a server stopped to ask about taking an order. Jake was the only redeeming quality in the restaurant. We had a bottle of wine, calamari and salad. It was nothing special. The restaurant was not clean, well kept or well managed. The restaurant is quite small so there is limited seating. Go for the view if you must, nothing else.

Yelp
We ordered the calamari and mahi mahi tacos, coming from an inland city having these options is a treat. They were tasty, nothing too fancy. Can't beat tacos with an incredible view of Lake Tahoe!

Yelp
Recently we went here for a 16th birthday celebration, although they do not take reservations we will able to wait for a table for 11 people to eat around 5 PM. You really can't beat the views at this place. We opted to sit inside which still offers the amazing views from the indoor atmosphere. I ordered fish tacos they were really good and I also tried the hamburger was absolutely delicious! The Brie appetizer was a very generous portion and was delightfully full of flavor with the added items in it. The real stunner of the show was the kids meal pasta. We asked, it wasn't on the kid list if we could get the kid pasta with pesto. They made it and it was the best pesto pasta I've had at a restaurant hands down, I feel like this should be on the menu! Overall the servers were great, the food was delicious, the views cannot be beat!

Yelp
Only worth it for the view--everything else was disappointing. We came to Boathouse on the Pier hoping for a good meal with a great view. We only got the view. After being seated in the middle of the restaurant, it took 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us--despite multiple servers walking past and making eye contact. No one stopped to take our order or even offer water. Eventually, Brandon, the bartender (who wasn't even our server), noticed us looking around and kindly came over to help. He was pleasant and the only bright spot in this entire visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. Our tacos came out cold. No one checked on us during the meal. And when we were done, it took another 20 minutes just to get the check--again, only after we flagged someone down. Bottom line: don't come here expecting good service or warm food. Come only for the view--and maybe hope that Brandon is working.

Yelp
Came here when they just opened for lunch on a Sat and chose seating inside since the outdoor seating was best for smaller parties but definitely would come back in the summertime to do the outdoor seatings. Service was fine, the food was wonderful and the view was nice. We enjoyed the filet mignon, sea bass, waygu burger, and pastas very much. The restaurant itself isn't that big and with limited parking but the pier is great for the kids to run around and play. We took a walk after eating and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely come back when in the area!!

Yelp
Out of towner visiting for some awesome views and good vibes. Decided to sit outside for the view and would recommend. It was cold outside with it being winter but was totally worth the scenic atmosphere if you like seeing snowy mountains and waves crashing into the shore. The food we ordered (pictured) was average. It wasn't terrible but it didn't pack the taste I was expecting. Some of the grapes we got were clearly on the expired end so I was little surprised those were served. The drinks were great though, got the Bloody Mary, was on the spicy end which is the way I prefer it. Service was on the slower side, looks like the server needed some help. The vibe was chill, they have music playing inside, or if you want to sit outside and enjoy nature. If you're not in a rush this spot might be for you.

Yelp
Stay Away! We were looking very forward to eating here after reading reviews, etc., online. We drove over an hour from North Lake. The restaurant itself was very cool with a great view of the lake. Also, our server was very nice but that is about where the positives end. Nothing else worked. After being seated it took forever for a server to come out and take our drink order. Again, she was very nice and the issues with this place go way beyond her. She was stretched thin working all over the restaurant and the gentleman that was "helping" her was not much help. We were there for an hour and a half and only one person in our party of six was brought a refill on their drink. We ordered two appetizers that came out about 15 minutes apart with the second one coming at the same time as two of the six entrees. Two more entrees came out about 15 minutes after that and they were cold. The fifth entree was the wrong entree altogether and had to be sent back. It was replaced before the sixth entree arrived and it was terrible (beach tacos). When we asked the helper about the sixth entree which was a $63 surf and turf he acted like he had no idea what were talking about. He came back and said that the order was never placed and that it would be another 15-20 minutes at which time we asked to cancel it and bring our check. It is obvious that this place was once a great restaurant. The food quality is nowhere near the price point they are charging. And like many places now there didn't appear to be anyone in charge or anyone that cared about the customers' experience.

Yelp
Selected this place as it was in close proximity to our lodging after a long day on the slopes. We were exhausted and wanted a place where we could walk to and wind down with a cocktail and a view. We ordered a few apps and 2 drinks to split amongst our party of two. Service was prompt and friendly and our food was better than expected. Mahi Tacos: 4/5 the fish was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked and paired well with the pineapple salsa. I found myself wishing it had a spicy aioli to balance it out. Buffalo cauliflower: 5/5 this was our favorite bite of the night. A flawless marriage of crunch from the crispy batter, spicy flavor from the buffalo seasoning and cooling effect of the cucumber. I would eat this every day if I could and it's something I'm going to try making at home. Burrata: 4/5 we were expecting the dish to be cold but it came out in a VERY HOT crock with herbs and tomatoes with bread to dip. The cooked outside of the cheese had a mild rubbery texture which made it difficult to cut through, but the flavors were so good! We soaked up every bit of the cheesy mixture with the bread leaving no trace behind. We frequent Tahoe from the Bay Area and I would definitely add this place to my list of recommendations to friends and family who visit the area.

Terri D.

Yelp
We've eaten here many times and it does not disappoint. Our server, Jake, was friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful as usual. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
For some reason I thought the food here would be really good. A restaurant on a pier in Lake Tahoe, just steps from my beachfront hotel room, sounded so fun. I guess if I hadn't built it up so much in my mind, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. It's a pretty small menu, the drink menu was bigger so I guess that's their thing. I had the "on the pier Paloma" it was really good and I had a choice of salt or sugar dipped rim. The flower was super cute too. Husband had the fish n chips and enjoyed it. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich which came with a salad. Chicken/sauce had no flavor. The salad was large, but unfortunately had some brown lettuce.

Yelp
Long day at the beach calls for some good dinner on the pier. Went here on the late evening on Labor Day with Siblings. Very nice view for a sunset, great seating options outside and inside and very nice service. Morgan helps out she was friendly and kept checking on us. Ordered the mahi-mahi plate, mahi tacos, and rice bowls. The monkey was good, but could have been warmer, also got a clam chowder. That was delicious. We were all satisfied. Would come back.

Yelp
Gayle and I came here for Lunch last Sunday after dropping her Mom off at St. Theresa and before attending a TOCCATA performance of Handel's Messiah at that Catholic church. We found it via a "Lunch Near Me" search, plus a preference to be on the Lake or at least have a view of it. Boathouse on the Pier is located behind the Beach Retreat & Lodge, which requires a little bit of a guided drive to find it. The restaurant is upstairs and just behind the so-called Longest Pier in Lake Tahoe. At it was mid-December, it felt that we were enjoying ourselves within an off-season resort, including not a lot of people or activity around. CONS - Our food was a little slow out of the kitchen. PROS - Comfortable and casual vibe, with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Peaks. - Friendly, sweet, and welcoming waitress. - Delicious menu choices. Gayle enjoyed her Mahi Mahi Tacos, while I was impressed with their Mahi Mahi Black & Blue Sandwich. The fish tasted fresh, and was well seasoned without any need for breading. We weren't rushed schedule-wise and it was certainly an enjoyable early afternoon at the Lake. This place is probably hopping during the Summer or weekend evenings, and we were just happy to enjoy the views and the peace and quiet.

Yelp
I should have listened to the ratings, with a view this amazing you would think their service & food would be so much better. The food is mid, & saying that is being nice. If it weren't for the amazing ambience I don't think this restaurant would do very well with the prices. I'm sorry, I usually will do my best to give the best review for every restaurant I visit but I can't for this one. If you're looking for drinks & a good view I recommend, to eat I don't.

Yelp
Service, food, and ambience were OK, not good but not bad. We ordered fried calamari and zucchini blossom to go, while I waited I sat at the bar and asked for water. I finished my water and placed it on the bar, nobody cared to ask if I needed a refill. Finally got the to go food after 30min. of waiting.

Yelp
Why does this place not have more stars?! First of all, its location is BEAUTIFUL! Located right on the lake with an amazing view of the forest, the beach and the lake. We went around 2-3 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. It is quite small on the inside so if it was busy I could imagine how packed it would be. You can also sit on the patio outside for an even better view. Next, the food!!! Exquisite! I tried the arugula salad with pears, apples and goat cheese. Yum!!! So fresh and the mixture of flavors just mesh so well. Next, I had the Brie cheese plate. It came with pears, apples and a garlic crostini that was to die for. Soooo good. Service was good, nothing extraordinary.

Yelp
We just came here for a drink and the view. This is a very small restaurant with limited seating. We were able to sit on the outside upper deck area. I ordered the Raspberry lemon drop drink which came in a martini glass with a sugared rim and it was delicious. Our server was nice and efficient. The views from the upper deck were amazing.

Yelp
Thank you to Ally, Brandon, and Jack for the friendly customer service! We had a first great experience at the Boathouse && we are looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
Service was amazing! Our server was so nice and gave us a list of places to check out while we were in South Lake Tahoe. The food was amazing too! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
A Hidden oasis. Beautiful views from the deck of the lake and mountains. They have jet ski and pattle boat rentals beneath the restaurant I ordered the new England style clam chowder. It was different. It had carrots in it but quite tasty. For my entree, I had the blackened Mahi mahi . It served as a sandwich, and I paired it with the garden side salad. The sandwich was decent, but the star was the salad it was so fresh, and it seemed as though they were making their own ranch. The servers were polite. As a melenated tourist, it's a nice spot to have a few drinks and good food and relax.people seem to be in awe of us lol but friendly. My brother ordered the fish tacos, and he said it was good.

Marissa S.

Yelp
We were seated and ordered our food within 5 minutes then proceeded to wait 40 minutes then decided to pay for the drinks and leave but when we asked to pay for the drinks they seemed so confused that we hadn't gotten our food already because it was already done. To add we were seated outside in the cold with our 2 year old daughter waiting. Definitely won't be returning.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
We sat by the window and enjoyed the gorgeous clear view of Lake Tahoe! I had the amazing Beach Retreat Salad w/Carne Asada. My (British) husband loved the fish 'n chips! Our servers/staff Ally & Kelsey were totally attentive and gracious. Also took our pics on the deck!
google avatar

Shalishah H.

Yelp
Food was decent but the service was a bit delayed. I definitely enjoyed the seating - great for a drink with a view if I were to go there again.

Erica S.

Yelp
There were items on the menus that were discontinued, I was served expired soda out of the can, ( I returned the first on and they gave me the actual can the second time). We had 3 different servers so there was a lot of miscommunication during food service. We then got CHARGED for the expired soda on the bill, which I had to hunt down someone to get a corrected bill. What a disappointment! The only positive I took away was the food was delicious. I would not recommend this establishment based on our experience. We ate on 6/12/2025.

Cindy W.

Yelp
Great food and reasonable prices. Fish and chips and roasted Brussel sprouts were excellent on Mother's Day.
google avatar

Ankita K.

Yelp
We ordered a wine tasting, pizza and Mediterranean cheese board. I would say that food was a very big disappointment but the sunset view from this place is spectacular. I would highly suggest going to this place but just for the sunset and not at all for the food.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Walked in and stood at the front for over 5 minutes to get a table, no one came to seat us, or even told us it would be a few minutes. So we left. Apparently they don't have bathrooms either.
google avatar

Kristina C.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to get to go from here since the restaurant doesn't accommodate strollers and our baby was asleep. They had a patio and a downstairs patio that a party of about 20 were sitting at yet they told me they don't serve on the patio. We arrived at 8 and a server told me the kitchen was closed The restaurant inside was very hot and uncomfortable

Wendy O.

Yelp
Starting out: Dylan was a great server. Waters came quickly. Drinks came out fast. I ordered an empress Gin and Tonic. Server commented as he delivered the drink that it was a "weird color" for an Empress Gin. Yes, it was a weird color. It was a barely light pink. The draw of an empress is the beautiful purple/pink color that results from the tonic combining with the Gin. When you have a barely tinted drink you know that there was not a full pour of purple hued empress in the drink. If you recognize it as a server, make it right before setting it on the table. Flavor of the drink: yep, great tonic flavor. Gin? Not so much. Also ordered the fish and chips.... Two triangle pieces of fish with a very small portion of French fries and a heavily mayonnaised, lukewarm coleslaw swimming in sauce. The good part: the breading on what I would call a VanDeKamps fish fillet was crispy and the fish was okay. The fries were fresh and crisp. The tartar sauce was cold and had a unique taste that was good. Overall: $12 for a drink lacking in alcohol to a degree that the server noticed it was off color. Is too much. Any amount for a drink with a light enough pour that it's visibly noticeable is too much. Price woulda been fine if it had been made properly. $20 for a meal that was just another frozen hunk of fish out of a freezer bag and into the fryer... small portion of fries and inedible coleslaw: I would skip it.

Yelp
Yummy food and good service. The view is breathtaking. Highly recommend! Stop in and enjoy.

Yelp
Boathouse is amazing ! Drinks and food were so good. Service was ok. The girls were foreign and lacked the true spirit of the service industry. I happen to be in the industry. But, the ambiance and food made up for it. Well done !

Yelp
This place is such a nice spot but they really need to revamp their menu and retrain staff. They have one of the worst services in a restaurant ever. We sat in the balcony seeing as it's not windy and it's a beautiful day. The server took so long to come and ask for our order, then, our water never got refilled nor were we asked. She never came back to check on us and we've been waiting so long. There were only 3 times she was in our table. Everything took so long from getting our order, delivering the food and even for the check, it took so long. And this applies to all of us in the balcony. When I went inside, I thought they're overwhelmed and short handed, the tables inside were empty. I liked the area and wanted to like this restaurant but I think we'll just go to another lakeside restaurant next time.

Yelp
Cute little place on the water to get a bite and a drink. We came in on a Monday when they opened at 3 pm, and it got crowded pretty quick. They have about 6 tables outside and about 10 inside. Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 5 pm all drinks and appetizers are half price. This is a great deal. We ordered the fish tacos which came with a pineapple salsa, clam chowder and the spicy cauliflower bites. The cauliflower has a little kick but not hot. It comes with ranch. The clam chowder had a good flavor. Ally was our server and she was nice. As it got busier, the 2 ladies working got busy and it got a little slower to get service. They have to make the drinks, serve the food and clear the tables. I think they should have someone else helping. Parking is difficult as the restaurant is on a beach. There is a very small lot directly in front, however you can park about half a block away in the shopping center. I would definitely come back for happy hour.

Yelp
Restaurant has a great view of the lake and mountains. It was a cloudy evening, but we still enjoyed a nice sunset with a pretty view of the lake and snow capped mountains. Our server Iveta helped us select a bottle of wine to go with our dinner. We ordered the Cajun Shrimp Scampi and the Caprese Chicken with Linguini. Both were delicious.

Yelp
Very pleasant surprise. We arrived at the restaurant around 7 pm on a weekday and there were not so many people. At first, we were unsure if we made a right choice. As soon as we set down we observed clean glasses and silverware. Huge plus for all of us especially my European and Australian guests! Waitress was very pleasant and food was very good too. Location is perfect with a great view. Can't wait to visit during summer time.

Yelp
I made a trip to Tahoe to gamble a little. I wanted to treat myself to a nice dinner. They had Chilean Sea Bass on the online menu, and I was looking forward to that. It wasn't on the paper menu, so I had the fish and chips. But that is to be expected with fresh seafood. The cabbage slaw was just that. Just cabbage, with very little if any dressing. No flavor at all. Fish was tiny and looked like it was frozen breaded cod. Mushy on the inside. The Garlic Parm fries were cold, not seasoned ,looked like they had been sitting around for awhile. I had to ask for tarter sauce, that wasn't that great. I've worked in the kitchen for quite some time now and would never serve my customers food like this. But the service was great. Jace was pleasant and took the time to recommend places to hike, watch sunsets and other places to eat.

Yelp
went on a wednesday morning with my fiancé and it was not crowded. lots of parking close to the restaurant and water the service was great, waitress provided suggestions and food came out at a reasonable time. the environment was beautiful upstairs and outside on the patio overlooking the lake. gorgeous view and it was refreshing and quiet. the food was mediocre, except for the chicken sandwich which was wonderful and juicy. the mahi tacos were bland and burnt even with all of the sauces on it. wish it was well marinated with flavor. the clam chowder was good, but it came out below warm. that was bad. please make sure the temperature of the clam chowder increases, especially if outside is colder temperature. the carrot cake was great, but by then we were stuffed. the cake had coconut cream which was interesting and good. definitely give the chicken sandwich a try. we like this one the most, it was flavorful and juicy thick cut protein. just be careful of the jalapeños in the sandwich as it can give you a kick. be advised there are lots of ducks and gooses

Yelp
Been to this spot many times over the years. Apparently it has some new owners who ended the happy hour and changed things a bit. In general the food here has always taken a back seat to the view... but today was super lackluster. Fish tacos were basic and lacked all flavor. Buffalo cauliflower was ok but just dry nuggets... should be saucy. Pretty sure there was no tequila whatsoever in my margaritas. Quick flushed $100 down the drain.
