Best Bars and Restaurants in South Lake Tahoe | Eater SF

"The key to maximizing your enjoyment at the Boathouse on the Pier in the summer is to get there for the afternoon happy hour (daily, from 3 to 6 p.m.). Then you can sip discounted drinks on a picnic table on the longest pier in Tahoe while watching people boat, kayak, and paddle board around the lake. If you go for dinner, be sure to arrive well before the sun goes down and grab a seat on the top deck for maximum romance (or by a window during cold weather). Like almost every restaurant with a view in Tahoe, the prices aren’t cheap, but the fish tacos are reasonable, though it’s worth it to shell out a little more for the Cajun shrimp boil pasta, “a Tahoe twist on the Southern classic.”" - Julie Brown Davis

Lovely restaurant. Beautiful view. Reservation recommend on the weekends. Food was great, definitely order fish taco! We also ordered scallops, but the portion was small. Great service, tasty drinks.

The food was delicious and our server Jake was fantastic. We ate salad then sea bass with asparagus and mushroom risotto for main dish then coconut sorbet. It was all excellent and delicious. There was a large group of us and we had a reservation for 7.30pm which was perfect for a beautiful sunset. The restaurant was extremely busy and they seemed a bit short staffed so it took some time, although it was worth the wait! Our server Jake went over and above to make sure we had a really great evening and felt supported. Perfect setting with the sunset and lake views. Thank you!

Google
Great food and amazing scenery. Getting a reservation is a bit of a struggle though. I called them the day prior to make a reservation for two. I was told they don't do that over the phone, but if we showed up by 530pm, we'd be fine to walk in and get a table. So we did, and we turned away. Apparently the only way two people get secure a table for dinner in advance is to do it in person the day prior which was a little frustrating. Once we actually got to eat there though, it was very good.

Google
Dined here for dinner and also lunch. Ryan was an amazing server, very attentive and fun. Recommend drinks which were delicious! For anyone not wanting an alcoholic drink, he makes the best Shirley Temple! Food was also amazing.

Google
The food and appetizers are OK, the service is terrible. I arrived with a reservation for my husband's birthday and I had the worst experience. My reservation was at 8:30, I had to wait an hour to be seated, no one tells you to wait a moment or anything, no one looks at you, they ignore you. We ordered food and after an hour and half they brought it to me. We had no plates to eat on, no fork or knife, we had to eat with our hands. Do you think that's possible? I do not recommend this place at all. Bad service, my first time at this place and horrible treatment and experience. If you have plans to go there, cancel it because you are going to waste your time and the prices are not affordable. 2 people serving 8 tables. The food was unsalted and tasteless. The pasta was very bad.

Google
The Boat House is truly a spectacular restaurant. The pasta they serve here is simply exceptional—every bite is a delight. Pairing it with a glass of wine while enjoying the breathtaking lake view creates an unforgettable experience. Dining here feels like floating on the water, surrounded by mountains and immersed in a mesmerizing atmosphere. The combination of stunning scenery, exquisite food, and outstanding service makes this place absolutely remarkable. A special mention to our server, Ally—she was incredibly kind and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. Her warm and friendly service amplified the magic of this place. We are on vacation from Florida, but without a doubt, we will be back. This place is a hidden gem that should not be missed!

Google
Incredible views, especially for sunset. Our server, Iveta, was particularly helpful!! She was attentive and nice and even helped me recover an item I left at the restaurant. We came back two nights in a row because it had the best views. The drinks were especially great!

Google
A brilliant place to watch the sunset. The sun reflects directly from the outside tables. Brilliant wine selection and cocktails. The food was superb. Punches well above its weight for Lake Tahoe. Definitely visit. Service superb - shoutout to Amanda.

Yelp
Food -The Clam Chowder was great. -gave you extra crackers that go in the chowder if you ask. Service -The servers were very kind to everyone. -check in on you every 3-5 minutes. -gives you plenty of time to think about what you want to eat/drink. Ambiance -very neat. -plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Overall rating 5/5 Best place to come if you do visit Lake Tahoe.

Yelp
Where do I even start?? I came by myself and sat at the bar and was blown away by the breathtaking views of the lake. So close I felt like I could dive right out of the window! I was immediately greeted by Brandon The Bartender where he whipped me up a lovely coconut cocktail and I was in heaven. I ordered the clam chowder and it was super chunky and delicious then decided I needed to try the Beach Tacos filled with grilled mahi and I blinked and they were gone. To top it all off I was casually greeted by the manager Riley and she could not have been nicer. This nautical themed gem of a restaurant definitely picked the right captain. To be honest I was skeptical reading prior bad reviews but this is my new favorite spot. I will be back for the food, to say hello to new my new friends Riley and Brandon as well as those epic fish tacos! 10/10 just Go

Yelp
We wanted to dine somewhere close to our hotel after a full, tiresome day at Kirkwood. So after changing our attire and relaxing a bit, we decided on a lake excursion to the shore and dining at a well recommended place. Our concierge told us about Boathouse on the Pier and we decided to go there, although the forecast called for a foot of snow in South Lake Tahoe and three to four feet of snow in the highlands, but supposedly the storm wouldn't hit until after we were back home. Trust the weatherman...... We entered the restaurant just as a gorgeous sunset was shining above menacing storm clouds over the lake. Heck, we figured at least a couple of hours before the storm, so let's eat! We were seated immediately, a part of six, with reservations made the same afternoon. We admired the deck seating and wondered how awesome it would be on a nice cool evening with the sunset.... Ally was our host, waitress and bar hostess. I am (well deservedly) giving five stars because of the exemplary service, great ambiance and delicious food, but... a couple of additional staff would be just the icing on the cake. We had four tables full during our visit, I can imagine on a sunny day, it would be critical mass... The cocktails were outstanding, summery, often experimental. I had a special Margarita that left me wanting more. The other guests had Negronis, different mixes with Aperol, etc. It was a great beginning to a great night. Then the appetizers started rolling in; their succulent Sushi Bites, which are lightly and tenderly battered, Surimi, Avocado, Rice, Wasabi ginger, and Wasabi soy. Superb! We also had the Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts, crispy, aromatic and very tasty, and finally the Baked Brie, with came with pears, roasted garlic, toasted almonds, fig jam and grapes. And then there were the main courses. A splendid assortment of delicacies. I haven't tried Chilean Sea Bass in an eon, and there it was, delicately sautéed with white wine lemon butter, over a bed of wheat berry vegetable melange. Delicious. Another in our party had the Filet Mignon, deliciously medium-rare, with a red wine Demi glaze, and grilled asparagus. The Linguini with Chicken Breast was also yummy, and even their Fish and Chips came with a monumentally sized piece of haddock and delicious chips. Of course, their wine list was par for the course and we chose both a Napa White and Red. And then as we were bloated, Ally came out with the Carrot Cake and Pineapple Sorbet dishes that ended up being totally eaten.... But meanwhile as we were joyfully enjoying our dinner, the storm had moved in. By the time we left, there must have been a good 8 inches on the ground and our hotel was almost at the base of the ski area Tramway. Sporty climb up the street...... A truly wonderful evening. Ally is the best. Great food and ambiance. Again, hopefully in the summer they hire a couple more people......

Yelp
Came here for dinner with friends. Food was good but service left a lot to be desired. We started with the calamari for the table to start which was delicious. For dinner, my husband and I shared the shrimp and scallops which were also great. My kids had the kids grilled cheese. The kids meal portion is huge FYI. I didn't drink but other people seemed to enjoy their cocktails. My problem with this restaurant was the service. It was insanely slow. You'd think with us coming in a hour before close they would try and rush us out of there, but it was the opposite. Hard to flag down waitress everytime someone needed something . Also, this place is really expensive. But I guess you are paying a premium for the views and atmosphere.

Yelp
Food was alright. Service was a bit too slow for my tastes, it felt like we waited forever for it to arrive. We sat outside, so the view of the lake was fabulous.

Yelp
Great view, good drinks. Horrible service, disgusting food. I would've been happier eating gas station sushi on the beach next to it than I was on the patio of that place.

Yelp
In the middle of a wonderful day on the lake, we decided to get lunch and a cocktail at Boathouse. We were lucky to find a bouy and enjoyed a quick skiff ride to the pier. Dining area was crowded both inside and out, so we opted for bar seating. Seemed that they were short of help, but the very personable bartender took it in stride and made us the best spicy Bloody Mary's not long after we sat down We ordered the steak tacos, which were wonderful, and a huge cheeseburger with fries, that was huge and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous lake views from our seats. The ambiance was beach casual, which was fine with us and the restaurant was clean. The staff, although extremely busy, were very friendly and our wait time was minimal (which gave us more time to enjoy the view!) Boathouse is a hidden gem in SLT, and we're really glad that we tried it!

Yelp
Average food, good service, great sunset view, parking is a challenge. Mahimahi was meh, under seasoned, not smoky. The sides that came with it were better: mix of diced red bell pepper, pineapple, onions, apple? Avocado was great, a glass of Cellar chardonnay to wash it down. The ambiance was cozy inside, but the prized seatings are at the outside balcony for which there are only about 6 tiny tables (2 chairs each). These face almost directly West so the sun was brutal even at 6 pm. I managed to secure a parking in the small lot next to the pier/beach area. There were some iffy looking peeps in the parking lot smoking stuff but my car was intact upon my return. Otherwise you have to find ST parking. Mostly beach goers in this area with a beach front sunset bar to boot.

Yelp
Honestly.. so bad. The clam chowder was lukewarm at best. The fish was overcooked and dry. The fries were equally as dry. The burgers were not cooked to the medium-well expectations. It took an 30 minutes to get drinks and an hour to get food from being sat. Initially, it was 15 minutes before a server to even greet the table. We even had a reservation. Just avoid. There is WAY better food in Tahoe that is worth the money.

Yelp
Long day at the beach calls for some good dinner on the pier. Went here on the late evening on Labor Day with Siblings. Very nice view for a sunset, great seating options outside and inside and very nice service. Morgan helps out she was friendly and kept checking on us. Ordered the mahi-mahi plate, mahi tacos, and rice bowls. The monkey was good, but could have been warmer, also got a clam chowder. That was delicious. We were all satisfied. Would come back.

Yelp
We booked a reservation for our anniversary and valentines day dinner at this place. They sat us down quickly and gave us the best seat in the house. Food was phenomenal. Our server, Iveta, she was very pleasant and kind she helped us decide what food to try and helped us with wine pairing. The view was excellent. They have outdoor seating but it was snowing the day before so it wasn't really ideal to sit outside. I thought it will be more expensive but it was reasonable. If y'all want to try this place go ask for Iveta.

Yelp
Recently we went here for a 16th birthday celebration, although they do not take reservations we will able to wait for a table for 11 people to eat around 5 PM. You really can't beat the views at this place. We opted to sit inside which still offers the amazing views from the indoor atmosphere. I ordered fish tacos they were really good and I also tried the hamburger was absolutely delicious! The Brie appetizer was a very generous portion and was delightfully full of flavor with the added items in it. The real stunner of the show was the kids meal pasta. We asked, it wasn't on the kid list if we could get the kid pasta with pesto. They made it and it was the best pesto pasta I've had at a restaurant hands down, I feel like this should be on the menu! Overall the servers were great, the food was delicious, the views cannot be beat!
google avatar

Jen N.

Yelp
Came here when they just opened for lunch on a Sat and chose seating inside since the outdoor seating was best for smaller parties but definitely would come back in the summertime to do the outdoor seatings. Service was fine, the food was wonderful and the view was nice. We enjoyed the filet mignon, sea bass, waygu burger, and pastas very much. The restaurant itself isn't that big and with limited parking but the pier is great for the kids to run around and play. We took a walk after eating and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely come back when in the area!!

Yelp
Really, really wanted to try Boathouse. We arrived around 7pm, party of 2. The host was unable to tell us a specific wait time. She took our information ( phone # etc) for a waitlist, we were told we were the only ones on the waitlist but also would not be contacted when a table was ready. Unfortunately since we were not provided specifics on the wait time or process we left and went elsewhere. We won't be back

Yelp
Feels like I'm doing hot yoga in here. I've never sweated so much in the bar. The last time I was this warm was in Mogadishu in the 90s. Nothing like warm flat Coors light though! I

Yelp
We went here to celebrate a special occasion with my parents, and it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Ten years ago, this restaurant was top-notch with excellent service, which is why we chose it again for this important night. Unfortunately, the service was rude and dismissive from the start--our waitress scolded us for being late, canceled our reservation, and told us to just "pick a table." For nearly $300 for dinner for four, the experience was unacceptable. My parents left saying they'd never come back again, and I completely agree. was by the poor customer service.. this restaurant has stunning of the day. It is by the lack of concern for the way the restaurant is run. I am saddened by the experience. I wanted find to be special and it was a 1/10.

Yelp
Out of towner visiting for some awesome views and good vibes. Decided to sit outside for the view and would recommend. It was cold outside with it being winter but was totally worth the scenic atmosphere if you like seeing snowy mountains and waves crashing into the shore. The food we ordered (pictured) was average. It wasn't terrible but it didn't pack the taste I was expecting. Some of the grapes we got were clearly on the expired end so I was little surprised those were served. The drinks were great though, got the Bloody Mary, was on the spicy end which is the way I prefer it. Service was on the slower side, looks like the server needed some help. The vibe was chill, they have music playing inside, or if you want to sit outside and enjoy nature. If you're not in a rush this spot might be for you.

Yelp
Food was good, staff were nice and helpful. View is AWESOME. The restaurant is very small so be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
Fantastic experience once again! The espresso martini Iveta made was fantastic. Look forward to coming each time we're up here.

Yelp
Love this place. The View is spectacular, Food is always consistent and this time the ahi poke, wine, and sea bass was the bomb; phenomenal Ally, our server is truly one of the sweetest, nicest and most knowledgable and hospitable food and beverage people we have ever met. I highly recommend coming here and if you can definiitely ask for ally to be your server!!!

Yelp
Selected this place as it was in close proximity to our lodging after a long day on the slopes. We were exhausted and wanted a place where we could walk to and wind down with a cocktail and a view. We ordered a few apps and 2 drinks to split amongst our party of two. Service was prompt and friendly and our food was better than expected. Mahi Tacos: 4/5 the fish was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked and paired well with the pineapple salsa. I found myself wishing it had a spicy aioli to balance it out. Buffalo cauliflower: 5/5 this was our favorite bite of the night. A flawless marriage of crunch from the crispy batter, spicy flavor from the buffalo seasoning and cooling effect of the cucumber. I would eat this every day if I could and it's something I'm going to try making at home. Burrata: 4/5 we were expecting the dish to be cold but it came out in a VERY HOT crock with herbs and tomatoes with bread to dip. The cooked outside of the cheese had a mild rubbery texture which made it difficult to cut through, but the flavors were so good! We soaked up every bit of the cheesy mixture with the bread leaving no trace behind. We frequent Tahoe from the Bay Area and I would definitely add this place to my list of recommendations to friends and family who visit the area.

Yelp
We ordered the calamari and mahi mahi tacos, coming from an inland city having these options is a treat. They were tasty, nothing too fancy. Can't beat tacos with an incredible view of Lake Tahoe!

Yelp
For some reason I thought the food here would be really good. A restaurant on a pier in Lake Tahoe, just steps from my beachfront hotel room, sounded so fun. I guess if I hadn't built it up so much in my mind, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. It's a pretty small menu, the drink menu was bigger so I guess that's their thing. I had the "on the pier Paloma" it was really good and I had a choice of salt or sugar dipped rim. The flower was super cute too. Husband had the fish n chips and enjoyed it. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich which came with a salad. Chicken/sauce had no flavor. The salad was large, but unfortunately had some brown lettuce.

Yelp
Gayle and I came here for Lunch last Sunday after dropping her Mom off at St. Theresa and before attending a TOCCATA performance of Handel's Messiah at that Catholic church. We found it via a "Lunch Near Me" search, plus a preference to be on the Lake or at least have a view of it. Boathouse on the Pier is located behind the Beach Retreat & Lodge, which requires a little bit of a guided drive to find it. The restaurant is upstairs and just behind the so-called Longest Pier in Lake Tahoe. At it was mid-December, it felt that we were enjoying ourselves within an off-season resort, including not a lot of people or activity around. CONS - Our food was a little slow out of the kitchen. PROS - Comfortable and casual vibe, with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Peaks. - Friendly, sweet, and welcoming waitress. - Delicious menu choices. Gayle enjoyed her Mahi Mahi Tacos, while I was impressed with their Mahi Mahi Black & Blue Sandwich. The fish tasted fresh, and was well seasoned without any need for breading. We weren't rushed schedule-wise and it was certainly an enjoyable early afternoon at the Lake. This place is probably hopping during the Summer or weekend evenings, and we were just happy to enjoy the views and the peace and quiet.

Denise L.

Yelp
We loved this little place and we sat outside on the deck right on the pier. The filet mignon was excellent and it's a little cheaper if you have it on top of a salad. The salad was absolutely delicious as well and the service was great.

Yelp

I do not recommend this place at all. Bad service, my first time at this place and horrible treatment and experience. Yelp
I should have listened to the ratings, with a view this amazing you would think their service & food would be so much better. The food is mid, & saying that is being nice. If it weren't for the amazing ambience I don't think this restaurant would do very well with the prices. I'm sorry, I usually will do my best to give the best review for every restaurant I visit but I can't for this one. If you're looking for drinks & a good view I recommend, to eat I don't.

Yelp
Why does this place not have more stars?! First of all, its location is BEAUTIFUL! Located right on the lake with an amazing view of the forest, the beach and the lake. We went around 2-3 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. It is quite small on the inside so if it was busy I could imagine how packed it would be. You can also sit on the patio outside for an even better view. Next, the food!!! Exquisite! I tried the arugula salad with pears, apples and goat cheese. Yum!!! So fresh and the mixture of flavors just mesh so well. Next, I had the Brie cheese plate. It came with pears, apples and a garlic crostini that was to die for. Soooo good. Service was good, nothing extraordinary.

Carly J.

Yelp
Who is the owner of this place? Who is the manager of this place? You gotta hire more people.. !!! Not enough people to service, people taking order are also bartending. You have good food but we work hard for our money and would have rather gone somewhere else with better service! Who is the manager on a Friday and Saturday night? Total waste of time. Don't overbook if you can't service

Yelp
My husband and I went here our first night in town. Google review gave it 4.1 stars and over 800 reviews. I should have checked Yelp. I called for a reservation but they won't take reservations for less than 4. When we got there they asked if we had a reservation! First clue. We sat at a table in the bar which did have a nice view. They were exceedingly short staffed on a Tuesday and I watched as all the staff just kept piling glasses at the end of the bar. Second clue. We sat there for about 20 minutes before a server stopped to ask about taking an order. Jake was the only redeeming quality in the restaurant. We had a bottle of wine, calamari and salad. It was nothing special. The restaurant was not clean, well kept or well managed. The restaurant is quite small so there is limited seating. Go for the view if you must, nothing else.

Alejandra R.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place negative stars. This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had. We got seated at 7 pm, and no one came over to us until we asked the hostess for help. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to put in our appetizers and then when they finally came out, they were cold. We then ordered our entrees, and what we were served was beyond disappointing. The fish tacos that both my friend and I ordered were bland and disgusting. My friend's husband ordered the Cajun shrimp scampi, and he didn't even get what he ordered. When he finally got the right plate there was no Cajun seasoning or any seasoning in it for that matter. At no point in time did anyone come to check how we were doing or if we needed anything. The service (aside from that of the hostess) was atrocious and inexcusable. To top everything off, their computers were down (but we weren't told this initially) so we had to wait what felt like an eternity for our check. But truthfully, even if the service wasn't terrible, this place would still suck. This is a piss poor excuse of a restaurant. By the end of this ordeal (about two hours after we got seated), I wanted to gouge out my eyeballs with a fork and shove knives into my ears. I am not one to leave reviews, much less bad reviews. But this place was so bad, it sparked a hatred in my heart with the strength of a thousand fiery suns.

Yelp
We just came here for a drink and the view. This is a very small restaurant with limited seating. We were able to sit on the outside upper deck area. I ordered the Raspberry lemon drop drink which came in a martini glass with a sugared rim and it was delicious. Our server was nice and efficient. The views from the upper deck were amazing.

Sharayah S.

Yelp
Had lunch reservations here with about 15 people. Our server put in a great effort. He was clearly very busy, but he was clear with communication & I appreciate that. Unfortunately the kitchen needs serious attention. The menu reads as very appetizing & it just did not produce. The steak for the tacos had poor presentation and tasted okay. The blackened chicken sandwich lacked goodies on the sandwich, and the chicken was not blackened. The rice came out very undercooked. The Cajun pasta had potential, but for a $33 pasta, I expect the noodles to be fully cooked and my sauce to not be water. The clam chowder was okay, would have tasted better if it was warmer. Our server was aware of some of these short falls, and he did his best effort of making up for it. He really just needed some back up help. The view being right on the lake is beautiful, but we will likely not be back.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
This place is not ADA accessible. There are only stairs, no ramp or elevators. The wheelchair accessible tag is NOT correct.

Sky M.

Yelp
Horrible service, so many dirty dishes stacked up on the bar no one behind bar making drinks, as we sat we asked for a water refill and drinks and we put our food order in same time, over 30 min later no one refilled water or brought our drinks. The service seemed very annoyed and understaffed. The view was beautiful but not with it.

Yelp
A Hidden oasis. Beautiful views from the deck of the lake and mountains. They have jet ski and pattle boat rentals beneath the restaurant I ordered the new England style clam chowder. It was different. It had carrots in it but quite tasty. For my entree, I had the blackened Mahi mahi . It served as a sandwich, and I paired it with the garden side salad. The sandwich was decent, but the star was the salad it was so fresh, and it seemed as though they were making their own ranch. The servers were polite. As a melenated tourist, it's a nice spot to have a few drinks and good food and relax.people seem to be in awe of us lol but friendly. My brother ordered the fish tacos, and he said it was good.

Yelp
Only worth it for the view--everything else was disappointing. We came to Boathouse on the Pier hoping for a good meal with a great view. We only got the view. After being seated in the middle of the restaurant, it took 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us--despite multiple servers walking past and making eye contact. No one stopped to take our order or even offer water. Eventually, Brandon, the bartender (who wasn't even our server), noticed us looking around and kindly came over to help. He was pleasant and the only bright spot in this entire visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. Our tacos came out cold. No one checked on us during the meal. And when we were done, it took another 20 minutes just to get the check--again, only after we flagged someone down. Bottom line: don't come here expecting good service or warm food. Come only for the view--and maybe hope that Brandon is working.

Yelp
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I never ever leave bad reviews, especially of dining experiences since I myself am a server and have served in fast casual and currently work in fine dining, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I made a reservation and i specifically chose this place for the lakeside view. Even with the reservation, the hostess sat us inside. I asked if we could sit outside she said there wasn't a table available. The people in front of us didn't have a reservation and they got a table inside. Then when a table outside opened up, she gave it to them. Look, I'm not trying to sound spoiled that I couldn't get a lake view table, but it just felt unfair that I made a reservation and had to sit inside when she moved not one but two tables outside instead of asking us if we'd like to move knowing I had asked. What's the point of making a reservation then? I wanted it to be a nice dinner for my boyfriend's bday and that really annoyed me. Then, we waited 30 minutes to even get greeted by our server, even though it was not that busy and they had plenty of staff. I would understand if they were low on staff or even if it was crazy busy. Again, I'm a server, things happen. But this was ridiculous. Then she greeted us, took our drink and appetizer order, and checked on us one time before our appetizers even arrived to ask us if we wanted to place the rest of our order, which we were not ready to put in, and then didn't check on us for another 30 minutes. We got there at 8, put in drinks and appetizers at 8:30, and after not being check in on for another 30 minutes, while I could see her literally walking around the room, my patience and my boyfriends patience ran dry. We decided to leave at about 9:10. I also know that the kitchen closes at 9, because when I called to make the reservation I asked. So the server didn't even let us know that the kitchen was about to close so even if we wanted to stay longer, we wouldn't have been able to order entrees because she didn't help us in time. Absolute dogshit of an experience. Will never recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the time and money. The food is also most definitely not worth a penny. The lobster ceviche was trash. We went to Wolf right after this place and it was PACKED and we still got greeted AND served within 5 minutes of sitting down, with consistent check ins, and excellent service and food. Don't waste your time here.

Yelp
Food was decent but the service was a bit delayed. I definitely enjoyed the seating - great for a drink with a view if I were to go there again.

Yelp
Came to Lake Tahoe again recently. Wanted to get a drink so we me and my friend got one at the bar. The bartender JACE took great care of us! I was in Tahoe to celebrate my birthday week and he showed me some birthday love too. They let us take our second drink to go which is nice and lets you enjoy the lake more. Will be back again.

Yelp
We ordered a wine tasting, pizza and Mediterranean cheese board. I would say that food was a very big disappointment but the sunset view from this place is spectacular. I would highly suggest going to this place but just for the sunset and not at all for the food.

Yelp
Service, food, and ambience were OK, not good but not bad. We ordered fried calamari and zucchini blossom to go, while I waited I sat at the bar and asked for water. I finished my water and placed it on the bar, nobody cared to ask if I needed a refill. Finally got the to go food after 30min. of waiting.

Yelp
Service was amazing! Our server was so nice and gave us a list of places to check out while we were in South Lake Tahoe. The food was amazing too! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Cute little place on the water to get a bite and a drink. We came in on a Monday when they opened at 3 pm, and it got crowded pretty quick. They have about 6 tables outside and about 10 inside. Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 5 pm all drinks and appetizers are half price. This is a great deal. We ordered the fish tacos which came with a pineapple salsa, clam chowder and the spicy cauliflower bites. The cauliflower has a little kick but not hot. It comes with ranch. The clam chowder had a good flavor. Ally was our server and she was nice. As it got busier, the 2 ladies working got busy and it got a little slower to get service. They have to make the drinks, serve the food and clear the tables. I think they should have someone else helping. Parking is difficult as the restaurant is on a beach. There is a very small lot directly in front, however you can park about half a block away in the shopping center. I would definitely come back for happy hour.

Yelp
Dined in last Tuesday, and our server and bartender's name was Ashley, she seemed to be the only one and did such a great job! Very attentive, bubbly personality while being quite busy. Had calamari and fish tacos and both were amazing. As far as cocktails had a Fun House and Paloma both were amazing! Sad it was our last day or we would've would have dined again, will be returning next time we visit for sure.

Yelp
We've eaten here many times and it does not disappoint. Our server, Jake, was friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful as usual. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to get to go from here since the restaurant doesn't accommodate strollers and our baby was asleep. They had a patio and a downstairs patio that a party of about 20 were sitting at yet they told me they don't serve on the patio. We arrived at 8 and a server told me the kitchen was closed The restaurant inside was very hot and uncomfortable
