"The Boathouse Restaurant and Marina Deck in Wildwood features a seafood-laden menu and picturesque waterfront dining. Start your meal off with firecracker shrimp, clams casino, or a cup of crab bisque to accompany a refreshing IPA or glass of chardonnay then make the difficult decision of which shellfish delicacy or other seafood offering to have for your entree. Some standout culinary dishes include scallops imperial, baked stuffed shrimp, fresh flounder, and linguini and clams." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Had a fabulous meal. Everything was excellent, especially the service., our server was Ella, she was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and one of the best servers I dealt with in a long time. I was very pleased with everything this evening..

Google
Great atmosphere and great service! This was our first time here, as we don't come to Jersey often, so the complimentary bread and salad was very nice and unexpected! Coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious, but you only get 4 shrimp, which seemed a little steep, even for a seafood restaurant. My mom got the fried platter, and boy was it fried - definitely seemed like they needed to change their oil out. I got the scallops Chesapeake, and they were very watery, decent flavor, but definitely not the best I've had. Overall, we had a good experience but would probably try out a different restaurant next time we visit.

Went for a Birthday Party/ 50th wedding anniversary dinner. Although we had an extremely large difficult group, the staff was exceedingly patient and kind. They were beyond attentive to our needs and kept us updated each step of the way, never a glass empty. Even went as far as organizing and taking a group picture. Thank you again for the great experience. Would recommend for a date night or something similar!

As a local wanting to try a new place, this one was a disappointment. The staff was very pleasant, even over apologizing for the wait for food (which didn’t seem that long.) We had waited at the bar and brought our drinks to the table but the waitress never offered to refill till we asked her specifically to get new drinks then never offered again. I should have been concerned when I asked what kind of oysters they had and the waitress and manager only said ‘local’ even when I prompted to ask which ones. Seemed odd they could name them. Then the soup arrived. It was clearly the bottom of the pot and congealed. We sent it back. The apps were fine, the entrees weren’t great. If you have kids and want a place to have a not too expensive, stick with apps for the adults, this would be a decent option. If you’re looking for a nicer dinner with friends, try another place.

The view is amazing! The seafood is very good as is the fresh salad and rolls. The tiramisu was delicious and the margarita was also delicious and very well priced. Going between 4-5 PM makes the price reasonable too! The server was professional and attentive as was the manager who checked in on all the tables.

Enjoyed a savory seafood meal at the shore. Isn't that what you are supposed to do? The Boathouse Restaurant didn't disappoint. Carly, our server was absolutely wonderful. How she tolerated us dropping everything (knife, bread) I'll never know. She helped put our dining experience over the top. We were kindly seated in a shaded portion of the patio with a nice view of the marina. Our appetizer of coconut shrimp appeared instantly. Hold on did I mention the sunset specials? Many meals were priced at $20. The broiled scallops I ordered were cooked to perfection. Not rubbery, nor mushy. They swam in a shallow pool of garlicky melted butter with a wedge of lemon on the side. Thank you chef! I hate when the flavor of the meal is overridden by something else. The lemon paired well with the crispy green beans on the side. The cole slaw was good also ,but a slight bit sweet for me. Thank you again Carly! I'm sure we will dine here again. When in the vicinity. If you'll have us.

Google
Service was very good from Leah (I could be a minute it's been a little over a week) very attentive. However the food for the price was just ok. Fine dining pricing for avg tasting food and avg presentation of food. I can at least say I tried it. Don't know if I'll go back when I return to wildwood

Google
Excellent service and food! Nick was our server and he was fast and very attentive. We had no wait but also got there around 4pm. I ordered the Maryland style crab cakes and my husband ordered the 12oz Sirloin. The steak was cooked perfectly and my husband hates seafood and was skeptical of ordering a steak from a seafood restaurant. My crabcakes were awesome, I would've preferred the lump meat over shredded but it tasted so good and had more meat than breading and I will definitely be back for more. It's pricey, but average for a tourist place and you get full! Salad and bread to start then your entrée and 2 sides.

Yelp
Definitely recommend the boathouse. We had a wonderful dinner on the water. We sat in in the back dining room, which was very nice. I had a nice Pinot Grigio. Darren had a bloody bloody Mary. The Royal seafood combination was good and adequate. I only wish that the fish was a little bigger, serving of the fish was a little small but everything else was OK

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Service was excellent, Megan was great, but the food was subpar and over priced. Definitely will not be back. Tourist trap geared towards getting you in and out quickly. Views were nice.

Chris B.

Yelp
Yikes where do I begin? We hadn't been here in a while but remembered it being delicious. Not now. First of all don't go there if you have an allergy to gluten. They have no idea. Bar- bartender could not make a drink with fresh lemon. My friend's mango margarita was regular. He was surly and not very friendly Our server was lovely but.... My friend's margarita came with salt when she asked for no salt. She got green beans instead of coleslaw. You stop sending things back because you look like a Karen. My gluten free requests were a problem. I switched out the crab cake but neither our sever or the chef caught the fact that the clams had bread crumbs. My gluten-free salad came loaded with croutons. The broiled seafood platter was tasteless. We will not be going back.

Donata N.

Yelp
We've been to the Boathouse a handful of times and the food is usually above average in quality, taste and price. Arrived on a Sunday around 5 during peak season to actually find the restaurant not as busy as expected. We sat at the bar until all of our party arrived. The orange crush was strong and refreshing. Hostess came over and said a large party had arrived, did we want to be seated now or wait another 15 or so in the bar. We opted to stay in the bar for another beverage while we listened to the guitar player sing. Our table for dinner was on the outside deck with a view of the marina. I recommend the deck until the sun starts to set for half of the table was blinded. Sarah was our waitress and she provided great service. I ordered the stuffed scallops. The scallops broiled perfectly and sweet. Plenty of lump crab in stuffing. Oysters fresh and briny. Food delicious. Service good. Views and atmosphere pleasing. Be prepared to spend $ though but it Wildwood in July.

Yelp
We wanted to look for a nice seafood restaurant on the water and we stumbled across this place. It's a pretty nice size clean restaurant and we were able to walk right in to be seated. Seemed like a slow night. The staff was pretty friendly and our waiter was very nice and attentive. He is the only reason I added another star. Outside of that the food is terrible. My husband ordered the broiled seafood platter and I ordered the scallop imperial. My husband's meal was supposed to come with a crab cake. My meal was supposed to have crab stuffing on top. Well the crab cake & stuffing were both the same and it was terrible. It was just a bunch of cakey bread with little crab. The scallops were flavorless as well. My husband agreed his platter wasn't that great either. I also got the she crab bisque which too was meh. Our food wasn't hot enough either including the soup. The only thing that was actually good was the garden salad and the coleslaw. On top of that one of the staff members had some serious BO going on and that also didn't help the matter. It wasn't our waiter it was someone else and every time he walked by it made me want to hold my breath. I wish I could have given this place a 5 star review because of how nice our waiter was but unfortunately I can't say I recommend this place.

Cora L.

Yelp
This place was very good! Great calamari and seafood. Sunset on the deck was gorgeous. Will be a yearly tradition.

Emilee S.

Yelp
Service is great. Casual ambiance. Food is very mediocre. The best thing we had was the complimentary garden salad. I had the chicken bruschetta which lacked flavor and was way way over priced. Definitely just okay food.

Tori F.

Yelp
Every time I come here I absolutely devour my food. The filet & cake is my go-to, as the filet just melts in you mouth and the crabcake is perfectly cooked. We subbed the house salad for caesar which was stellar. The bruschetta was a perfect light appetizer to start with before having our steaks.

Deirdre C.

Yelp
We came here for dinner last week on Tuesday evening. It's preseason we there was no wait for a table. We were seated on the back deck that is enclosed for bad weather. It was perfect! Had a nice view of the water, boats and the sky. We started with shrimp cocktail and mini crab balls followed by a salad and my boyfriend had a cup of soup (she crab soup). I ordered the broiled flounder with garlic green beans and red bliss potatoes. My boyfriend had the tuna steak on a bed of pineapple salsa and crab meat on top. We finished up with freshly made butter cake with whipped cream. We took dessert home as we couldn't eat another bite! Service was great and the food was very good!

Joe E.

Yelp
A very busy place, right by the docks on Rio Grande Avenue. They don't take reservations, and it was mobbed every night we drove by, so we stopped for lunch one afternoon. Cordial service, average food. Crab cake sandwich was average, shellfish was average. No real complaints, but nothing outstanding either. They do seem to have a following, though, so if you're going for dinner, arrive early.

Jenna P.

Yelp
Overall daily good food, they have minimal sides but a decent main menu and apps to choose from. You can sit outside by the marina or inside in the ac. The strawberry daiquiri is the best part. Servers are always pleasant and helpful.

Alex T.

Yelp
This is a very nice environment to have a meal. It was a gorgeous fall day to sit outside. We were greeted by Jeff our server. I ordered the filet and crab cake and my wife had the fried shrimp. Family style salad was served first. It was right out of the refrigerator. I don't like it served that way. Taste wise it was not bad. My crab cake was forgettable taste wise and was only Luke warm. The filet was cooked to the medium requested but I felt it was bland. My wife's fried shrimp were just okay. Finished with key lime pie which was very good. Jeff is what a good server should aspire to be. Courteous, kind and checking in periodically during the meal. When the filet was served he asked that I cut into it and make sure that it was cooked to my liking. Wow don't even see that at the high end steak places anymore. He was great and I told him so.

Yelp
Parking was difficult. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a spot to open. No reservations are made here so upon arrival we were told a 30 minute wait for our party of 11. There's a bar located near the check in stand so ordered a few drinks as we waited. The wait for a table was less then the parking wait. We were seated upstairs near a window. The big windows gave a complimentary view to anyone at any table. Try to arrive an hour before sunset to get a nice view of the sunset and lovely pictures on the deck. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their meals. Ordered the fried crab cake and jumbo shrimp. Added fries and baked potato to my order. We agreed the clams casino and calamari are a must for starters. For a party of 11 in which 4 were children, our bill was about $470. Wine glasses can add up quickly, not sure if they do wine bottles but that would of been a better option for us. The waitress did seem overwhelmed yet you could tell she was giving it her all. She was handling many tables at once. Not sure if this was the reasoning as to why the kids didn't get their ice cream that was suppose to come with the kids meals. Even after requesting for it, we waited a bit too long and decided to leave.

Yelp
Massive | Dock | Blueberry Salmon Massive - The Boathouse is a massive restaurant. It has a substantial outdoor area and a good amount of room indoors. There is also a good size outdoor bar that is covered in case there is ran. Dock - There is a size-able dock with 6-8 slips in front of the restaurant and an additional 8-10 around the area at other restaurants. We drove a 50 foot boat into on of the sips right in front of the outdoor area. It was pretty cool and we were mini celebrities when we pulled up in our two boats. Blueberry Salmon - I had the Blueberry Salmon from the sunset menu. For the price point it was pretty amazing. It came with two sides. I had the Fries and Steamed Carrots. The Salmon was about an 8 oz fillet. The Blueberry was an interesting flavor on salmon. The mesquite was savory but the blueberries themselves were bitter. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend it. The only downside is the blueberry, I would just ditch them. Pro Tip: Sunset menu starts at 4pm. There are better price/food deals on that menu versus the standard lunch menu.

Carrie S.

Yelp
The flounder was fresh and a good size portion. Fries were decent. Coleslaw was ok. Prices aren't bad for being waterfront dining at the shore. After I ordered, everything was fine. Server was friendly. Food was good. Nice atmosphere. I'm hesitant to review the service because we all know it's hard to find enough help at the shore once all the kids go back to school. The hostess wasn't very welcoming. Maybe just quiet and shy. I sat at least 15 minutes at my table before being acknowledged. I understand being short staffed but maybe just say that someone will be with you shortly. 3 different servers walked by me.

Jenn A.

Yelp
The food was fantastic! The seating on the deck was beautiful! Our server was awesome, attentive and very accommodating!!!

Mixzairy C.

Yelp
Loved this place. Food was amazing so was the ambiance. 10/10 would recommend and go back.

Jawny A.

Yelp
Great views, huge place, very good food, and great service. The negative reviews are hilarious - I really think people just come to the shore to complain about everything. The Boathouse is a Wildwood staple that we visit at least once a year. We've never had a bad experience here. Love it. And you don't need to be from "NY" to know what good food is....

Virginia T.

Yelp
We usually come here when we are in town because it's right on the water and the food is pretty good. A few days ago we popped in for lunch while we waited for a Silverbullet speedboat dolphin watch -(which was great by the way-highly recommend.) lunch was great as always. I had the crab cake sandwich lunch. It was quite tasty and well presented. It was perfectly cooked and the perfect portion. My son and hubby both had the fish fillet with fries. My son wasn't crazy about the fries because they were quite thick. My husband and I loved the fries! They were thick, perfectly cooked and seasoned and were super filling. Even the coleslaw that accompanied my hubby's fish and chips was pretty tasty. Overall I highly recommend the boathouse for lunch or dinner. They also were covid compliant which is a huge plus for us. The reason for the 4 stars? Although the drinks looked pretty they were totally watered down lacking alcohol and taste. Also they were more than stated on the menu. I don't mind when it comes to price-especially for alcoholic beverages but when your menu states one price and you are given two drinks that are watered down and not slushy for frozen beverages, it's a let down. Maybe skip the drinks or go for beer.

B C.

Yelp
The worst seafood restaurant. ! I had the flounder with coleslaw and roasted potatoes. The flounder was dry and tasteless. The roasted potatoes were hard and burnt . The coleslaw was dry and without any flavor . My wife had the crab cake, it was dry and over cooked . We both could not finish eating this horrible dinner Never again ! If I could rate a negative number. This place would be be the -10 And to add, I had an old squeezed lemon wedge on my plate. Awful and disgusting!!

Kristen P.

Yelp
Wonderful vacation dining experience. The place was super busy on a Wednesday at 6:15pm when we arrived with no reservations (2 adults, 1 toddler). The hostess said the wait would be 20 minutes and we were shocked at how short that was, but we stopped at the bar, anyway, because our daughter was fascinated by the fun decorations hanging from the bar and we decided to grab a drink before dinner. The bartender was super attentive, talking to our daughter and even refilling her sippy cup with fresh water and ice. Not even 10 minutes later, my husband got the text that our table was ready. We were escorted upstairs where we were given a table, a high chair, and crayons for our daughter. Our waitress came over right away, saw that we had drinks, and asked if we wanted to hear the specials. We always do in every restaurant we try. Our daughter was a bit antsy because this is later than she usually eats, and threw her sippy cup down. Without skipping a beat, the waitress picks it up and continues telling us the specials. We look over the menu, make our decisions, the waitress comes back and we both decide to order the specials. First the rolls and salad come out - delicious dressing that even my 14 month old was begging for more salad! My husband's bisque soup had a nice kick, too. I got the seafood Gorgonzola pasta and it was divine. Absolutely delicious and creamy! My husband had the Gorgonzola pork chop and it was tender and juicy. My daughter devoured her buttered green beans. The only reason I gave this a 4/5 was because we ordered the kids pizza flatbread and that was disgusting. It was stewed, squashed tomatoes over raw, mushy pita with really bland cheese. I couldn't understand why my daughter wasn't eating the pizza after a bite... and then I tried it - safe to say it was the first pizza in my long life that I threw out into the trash. Overall, this was a really great dining experience from service to food quality. Definitely visit if you're in the area!

J B.

Yelp
Great experience, fantastic place. Right on the water. To get the full experience you must sit outside to watch the sunset over the marina while dining. We highly suggest the crab cream cheese balls with jalapeños appetizer. Adult drinks were on point. Interestingly, the homemade warm rolls were topped with fresh rosemary, an unexpected treat. Our food was cooked to perfection. My husband and I will be back soon!

Carla L.

Yelp
I was quite underwhelmed. Our server was nice as was the view but the food was a huge miss. Everything was flavorless. No taste at all. The blueberry sauce on the salmon was the only thing that slightly stood out but it wasn't in a good way. The place is on the pricier side so I was expecting it to be better. We all left hungry. The tables outside are extremely close so if you're worried about social distancing I wouldn't recommend it. It felt like we were eating the the family beside us. Too close for comfort. I gave it 3 stars based off of the server and the view.

Michele C.

Yelp
Besides the obnoxious man we got stuck next to while waiting at the bar for our table our experience was pretty good. We were told about an hour wait for dinner on a Saturday so we sat at the bar. I had the Rum Runner Colada and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Cape May IPA. The 2 bartenders along the big and busy bar were really working their butts off. When we were seated it was over an hour and we noticed how much waitress was hustling. Seemed to be short staffed all around here. We ordered the crab poppers for appetizers and they were awesome! Next you get a salad and rolls which were served warm. I ordered the sea scallops with red bliss potatoes and green beans- very good! My hubby had the shrimp and scallops scampi and loved it.

Ronnie H.

Yelp
The sea breeze flowing through your hair, the live performance providing the tropical ambience. The canal right below you. The only thing was the food didn't quite live up to expectations. By mo means awful but wish it was tastier. Had the flounder but wasn't as tasty and flakey as the ones I'm used to.

Michael G.

Yelp
Awesome food.. Attention to detail from the staff!! We had a party of 16 and the two waitresses were just great!! Only thing keeping from 5 stars is they say they do not split checks so we had to divide the cost between 4 families ourselves... This won't deter us from coming again!!!

Jen H.

Yelp
Great experience here July 10th 2019 for the Sunset Special of 2 entrees for just 29$! I thought it was nice because our waiter said that if only one person wanted to order the special and one chose the regular menu- that's an option too. I found out from manager Rose that The Boathouse, Uries and The Beach Creek are owned by the same 3 owners. The restaurants are similar but different dining grades in price/experience. Beach Creek is most expensive, Boathouse is midrange and Uries is the most casual. She stopped by the table and we enjoyed talking with her. We were seated upstairs and the view was beautiful. The restaurant was comfortably cool upstairs too. Our waiter, Mike, was very friendly and attentive! He checked back often and knew the menu. Husband tried the "Endless Summer Margarita" which was delicious with generous grand marnier float for 10$. He loved it! It's not an endless margarita ha ha ha! We started off with delicious coconut shrimp and strawberry sauce and it was delicious. I ordered the salmon with blueberry balsamic glaze, red bliss potatoes and coleslaw. It is a signature dish and rightfully so. It was out of this world. Lots of plump blueberries too. My friend, Maria, has raved about this dish forever. It did not disappoint. Husband ordered the sea scallops broiled and he enjoyed it. He got 4 large scallops and enjoyed the quality and portion. It's hard for me to take a leap of faith sometimes to try something new, because I don't like to be disappointed. This was a great experience from beginning to end. Mike was a pleasure and a professional. He did the "round tripping" and took care of several tables at once. Serving is hard work. Mike was pleasant and a great server! My deepest regret is that I haven't dined here sooner! I'll definitely be back!

Nicole W.

Yelp
Food is a hit or miss - I've had good meals & I've had just alright meals. The salmon was incredible and salad was great (served family style before your meal). Nice atmosphere! Felt very rushed by the wait staff and busboy who picked up my friends plate before she was even done chewing (there was no people waiting for tables so we were confused on the rush). Overall good place though.

Brayden G.

Yelp
Food was amazing the seats were cramped the food came out quick and it's on the water which is even better.

Angelina A.

Yelp
We're tried to visit this place and got a table upstairs in 40 min. The place is so outdated. Very boring inside, no decoration, no music. The menus is very limited. We left without placing the order.

Diana Z.

Yelp
I normally don't leave negative reviews but decided to do hoping if will help you improve. I believe that for $32 fried crab cake and jumbo fried shrimp dinner in my opinion it should be more than 3 shrimps plus stuffing in crab cake needs to be more crab meat and less flour. We had a nice view at the outdoor porch and wanted to watch sunset but then in mid of our dining waitresses started rolling down curtains without any warning. Hosted who greeted us and took my name and phone number wasn't smiling and welcoming. I felt this place is way too much overpriced for the service and meal portions / servings. I don't think I will ever be back again and won't recommend it to anyone. Hope this honest review will help. All the best!

Demishia O.

Yelp
When we got there around 5pm the line was long; however we were seated rather quickly with a view of the water. I had steak and lobster and it was very good. The lobster was also a great size serving. The waiter was great as well. I was not fond of my drink because it was too sweet otherwise I would say this restaurant would not disappoint you.

Sara D.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with my dinner at The Boathouse. All of the food was extremely fresh and tasty. For appetizers, my party shared the firecracker shrimp and the coconut shrimp; both were awesome. The coconut shrimp came with an interesting strawberry dipping sauce, and while it wasn't my cup of tea, the rest of my party went nuts over it. For dinner I had the linguine in a white clam sauce and absolutely loved it. The clams were extremely clean and the dish overall was very light and flavorful. There wasn't a single complaint at the table and we were all very full by the end of the meal. I can't wait to go back!

Joann D.

Yelp
My husband and I ate there on Saturday night. We had a 30 minute wait, but were able to sit at the outside bar while we waited. The wait was definitely worth it! My husband had the steak and cake, he normally would have not finished both, but said they were so good, he didn't want to waste any of it. I had the Seafood Fra Diablo, it was delicious and I bought half of it home. The family style salad, was absolutely delicious! I wouldn't normally mention a restaurant's salad, but it is that good! I wouldn't let the waitress take it away, I wanted to save some room for another little bit after my meal. Our waitress was Alexa and she was brand new, she was very capable but also wanted to make sure she did everything correctly so checked in with the woman in charge often, (who seemed to treat her very nicely). It was an excellent experience and we look forward to going back soon!

DanielleYelpsWestchester D.

Yelp
If your from NY, your view may match mine and not other positive reviews. I rated this restaurant a 2 star based on food and service. First the drinks - my friend ordered a coconut mojito at the bar on the first level - the mint was brown and it lacked coconut in taste. We were seated with a 15 min wait for six people which I thought was good for a mid weeknight. Waitress came quickly but when appetizers came we received no plates. When salad came we received plates and salad was barely tossed with a lot of dressing on a portion of the salad and dry on the other. Meals came and lobster tails were dry, baked potatoes were the smallest I ever seen and pasta dishes lacked sauce with tons of salt. Waitress never asked if we wanted another alcoholic drink and seemed overwhelmed with too many tables to tend too. We asked for water at the middle of our meal and received 5 waters instead of 6. Views could be wonderful from 2nd floor but windows were dirty or foggy - not sure what the issue is. Outdoor area which was bare looked unkept. We still left a 20 percent tip but the lack of parking and the long walk to some remote parking spot left me with that "one and done" feeling.

Jessie T.

Yelp
We had a pretty fantastic meal here. After being turned down by 3 other nearby restaurants during Covid, 3 hour waits at 6:30pm, The Boathouse took about 75 minutes to sit down and eat on a Friday night in Wildwood. Not horrible considering the wait times and no reservations anywhere. The NY strips, the Seafood Combo, the Chicken Brushetta and the Lobster Bisque was awesome. Very flavorful, good drinks, great service.

Lilea N.

Yelp
We came to this location with kids. I wasn't expecting for too notch services because we came for vacations as like a lot of people. However the food was terrible and way overpriced. We knew that everything is a bit overpriced since a lot of us are just tourists. However, at least give us proper food and not something that you just serve us from a can. The oysters were not fresh and the waiter wasn't very attentive when the place wasn't even busy.

Nick M.

Yelp
I live been coming here for years every summer. The price increases this year are far beyond inflation. $17 for fried calamari app? Is that a joke? It should be $6-7 at most. This place is clearly taking advantage of general inflation and way overcharging. It's an insult and I won't be back.

Carol D.

Yelp
The atmosphere was lovely as We were able to watch the water and boats as we ate our dinner on a beautiful sunny evening. The ice tea I ordered tasted bitter and old. The bread and salad that came with our meal was nice - the rolls were warm and the salad was good but overdressed with salad dressing. I ordered broiled scallops that arrived with no color or sear - and the baked potato was over baked. For $42. I would expect a much better prepared meal. I will not return.

Jacqueline H.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never went to the Boathouse. We went for the early bird "Sunset Special" menus which has a list of entrees that are $16 that come with two sides (the pasta dishes do not come with sides) and a family style salad. Our server was Michele R, she did an excellent job considering she was triple seated. For drinks, we had the Endless Summer Margarita & the Capsizer. The mixed drinks are a little pricy, but they are big sizes. Their bread is delicious - a pull a part rosemary thyme bread, which is addicting. For appetizers we ordered the calamari & the hot shellfish sampler. I thought the calamari were in the fryer too long for my liking, and the marinara was a little watery. It still tasted good, it just wasn't my preference. The hot shellfish sampler was a sampling of clams casino, scallops rumaki, and coconut shrimp served with a strawberry sauce and horseradish cream sauce. It was excellent. My dad ordered a bowl of the soup of the day, which was She-crab soup. There were nice chunks of lump crab meat throughout the soup. I'm always leery about ordering soup out, especially seafood soup because it can tend to be too salty, but it was not salty at all. My dad was nice enough to let us all try some of his soup. I would definitely recommend that one! For entrees, three of us ordered the blueberry salmon and one of us ordered the shrimp scampi. The salmon filets were a generous portion & the blueberry balsamic compote layered underneath the salmon was so tasty. The shrimp scampi was thoroughly enjoyed as well. The family style salad that came with our entrees (it was served prior to our entrees obviously), was awesome too. I loved their house balsamic (I don't think they offer any other salad dressings). We were pretty stuffed by the end, but my mom saved room for dessert & ordered the Key Lime Pie. She let us have some bites & it was so refreshing. I highly recommend coming to the Boathouse at least once when you're in the area. Make sure you come at 4 pm so you can take advantage of the Sunset Specials & not wait for a table. By the time we left on a Tuesday night at 6:00 pm, they were on a 45 minute wait.

Yelp
My dining companions and I headed out for a double birthday celebration meal. For a Sunday in August, we were seated within 10 minutes at 4:45 pm. Next to the outside bar. The music and noise levels were high, with a lot of activity. Our service was very good, and we tipped accordingly (thanks Taylor.) Our drinks were good, and served quickly. Our food - I don't want to speak for anyone else, so I'll just review my meal. I ordered the 6 oz. filet mignon topped with crab meat and asparagus for $46. Prices here have gone WAY up since last visit, but we were willing to pay for a special occasion. My meat was prepared to specification. There was very little crab, and it seemed to be mixed with large bread crumbs (and a lot of them) which was a big disappointment at this price point. The real disappointment however was the feta cream sauce. The food was doused in it. It was thick, clumpy, and overpowered the platter immensely. Wow. Additionally, my baked potato (and my dining companion's) must have been cooked many hours in advance, then reheated. And they tasted it. I wish I had ordered the surf + turf ($54) which was the filet, a crab cake, and no sauce. I'm giving it 4 stars because the other 2 meals seemed ok for most part. But 3 meals and a shared app for $250 + 50 tip, ouch. We won't be in a hurry to go back.

Yelp
We waited an hour to be seated because they don't take reservations over the phone. So we ordered some drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. Their Aloha Colada is good and they have different Pina Colada selections on their drink menus. The view is very pretty and relaxing. The service is a bit slow, we waited over an hour for the food to be brought up to us. I ordered fried calamari and seafood fra Diablo, same as my husband. The food itself tasted okay (flavorless) but underwhelmed from my expectations. My husband threw up and can't stop going to the bathroom few hours after dinner but I was fine. So maybe he had a different reaction toward seafood. overall it was a okay experience because the view was very pretty but the wait time is a bit long for what it is.

Yelp
I had an horrible experience in this place. In my anniversary my wife and I chose to go there for dinner. I'm a chef, working in the kitchen since 20 years with a lots of experiences. For starting I ordered fried calamari and coconut shrimp which was fine. For entrees I ordered shrimp and scallops scampi but instead of scampi sauce I ask for Alfredo sauce . OMG so sad. When they brought me the dinner The Alfredo sauce was to thick with chunk of cheese in it It was so strong flavor, the scallops and shrimp were over cooked. Please chef you need to be around you guys and make sure they know what they doing. The waiter was very nice. 5 stars for the waiter. Cool dude.

Yelp
Busy place last night. They were supposed to close at 8:00, but they seated everyone waiting well after 8:00, including me, and there were still a few people eating when I left around 9:00 pm. Being short-staffed, most of the servers had been there all day. You wouldn't have known they were tired, however, as the service was great. My server, Jack, was attentive and accommodating, pleasant and warm, with an obvious smile, even through his mask. I ordered the broiled seafood combo, which came with two sides (potatoes, cole slaw Orr veggies) plus a salad and bread. The platter contained a nice portion of fresh local flounder, scallops, clams casino, a small crab cake and three large shrimp. I enjoyed it very much, and despite the late hour, I was encouraged to take my time and enjoy it. I also had the French fries and cole slaw, which were also good.

Yelp
This place is ok - limited menu - mostly over priced seafood- lots of fried options. It was okay for my wife and I - but I had no idea why families would come here - usual post-Covid crazy high prices - 35 per entree and limited menu seems like a non-starter for a family. Anyway - my fried shrimp was definitely not lightly breaded fresh shrimp- it was good enjoy, but at the price point not worth it. My wife's stuffed shrimp was also ok - but again - not worth the price. Best bet - go for happy hour and buy some apps.

Yelp
We had been to the Boathouse once before and loved our meals. Our most recent visit, they accommodated 18 of us. Jeanette was our server and did a fantastic job refilling drinks and checking on us. Everyone loved their meals. I had the chowder and sampler which were terrific. We were there past closing time due to the size of our party but did not feel rushed to leave. We will make sure to be back before the end of the season

Yelp
First off, I'd like to say I've never left a review of a restaurant ever..I'm very easy to please and don't ever complain. But for the amount I spent at this establishment I felt this was a warranted review. The crab cakes arrived with and overwhelmingly amount of filler...very little crab meat. The "jumbo" shrimp add on were actually 4 normal sized shrimp for $12. Your actually way better off going to your local grocery store and getting a pound of steamed jumbo shrimp for $8.99...the entire dish arrived not cold...but not hot either....I'd say lightly warm...The baked potato wasn't hot enough for the butter to melt so I didn't attempt to eat it. That is what I got for $60

Yelp
Staying in Wildwood after labor day so a lot of restaurants are closed. Ended up at Boathouse for dinner and very happy we did. We had about a 30 minute wait, which wasn't that bad considering how busy it was. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the blueberry salmon, which was a unique item on the menu, and was not disappointed. Service was very good, along with a nice atmosphere. BUT... the reason I'm writing this review is because of the dessert. We got the peanut butter brownie, and it is probably one of the best desserts I have ever had. I have a huge sweet tooth and am very picky with brownies and this brownie left me speechless (plus it's all homemade)! Overall, loved the restaurant, food, and experience!

Yelp
The were seated pretty quickly. The food was excellent with the exception of the volcano shrimp which just tasted like it was over fried. Overall a good experience and delicious dinner.
