We have visited Bob Evans many times and loved the service and food, not this particular one however. I must say, it was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant, ever. We went today 8/1/21 around 10am.
First I witnessed a guest fall horribly in the front entrance way, I actually had to help her up, it was wet and slippery and she fell and I had to ask an employee to put up a wet floor sign before another patron was hurt.
We were told 25 minutes, and an hour and a half later we were finally told by the staff that the management (Heather) said that "no guests are to be seated until all the take out orders are filled." I shared a picture of that for your review.
Then another employee came out and said to all the waiting patrons. "Well, we can start seating you, but it it may be 45 minutes until you get your order of food."
I get being short staffed, if that was the case, but to allow guests to sit there for hours at a time and not even apologize or update them on the status of their seating? I could have went elsewhere to eat my breakfast. It was like a bunch of teenagers without direction or supervision wondering around aimlessly not knowing what to do. That Bob Evans should be embarrassed on the service they provided today. Poor management was the issue there.
