First of all. I am 47. This was one of my best done-in breakfast experiences EVER! The restaurant was SPOTLESS. It was so clean you could eat off the floors. Every staff member except a chubby male had a smile on their face. The manager was very welcoming, “I would like welcome Sells party of two!” I could feel the love. Our waitress Valerie was VERY ATTENTIVE! I hope I get her again. The food was WONDERFUL, FLAVORFUL, and didn’t need seasoning. It came out HOT in less than 10 minutes. Give it up IHOP! Your restaurants could never touch Bob Evans. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with my Bob Evans breakfast experience! I decided to come back again today 3-31-2025! WELL DONE BOB EVANS!!!!

Came here with some of my frat boys from the university of Delaware frat house. We had such a nice lunch together. Me as a guy really loves eating outside shirtless with the other cute guys of the house. We decided to act civilized and take ourselves out to a really nice restaurant . Now when u walk in here u feel like ur on a farm immediately! U gotta kick off ur frat house boat shoes and kick on some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat 🤠. Me and Connor got some of the fried chicken and Matt and nick got some breakfast for lunch. We sat in a booth because tables r inferior and make u look like a trailer park hick when u sit at a table. We r the booth gang and the server was super polite, friendly and super funny. We loved our food and will most definitely be back. Only thing I was gutted about is there is no free drink refills. Won’t stop us from coming back and recommending it to our families though!

We went Monday on Memorial Weekend. It was just about empty. Because of that maybe the food warmer who thinks he's a Chef, didn't feel like warming food. Our dinner order was decent. During our meal, we asked for the steak tip dinner to go to bring to my girls daughter. As we were getting up to leave we inspected the to go order. They were the smallest pieces of steak I ever saw served at a restaurant. To top it off, there were 2 pieces of broccoli. I said something to the waitress who apologized and went to the food warmer to get more broccoli. I observed him getting frustrated and we sat for 7 minutes waiting. When it was done he literally tossed it aggressively to the waitress who looked upset. There was no cover on the to go broccoli. The waitress apologized again. I worked in restaurants. I know the deal. The manager came over, who also apologized several times and tried to make things right. The food warmer should know that the public isn't lucky to have him heat up food. He is lucky to have a job that tolerates bullshit.. if they had a professional cook or someone who just took some pride, I'm sure this place would have more 4 or 5 stars.

Wasn't expecting the food to come like this. Picked it up after placing my order, via telephone service. $13 no drink and my pie is soaked in whip cream, & my pancakes also soaked as well. Bananas hot on pancakes, not acceptable. Happy Hour pie was $7 very good. 👍 Pancakes get three stars at best but they still taste better than IHOP, the known competition.

A little more expensive than just Denny's. I wasn't impressed with a basic breakfast bowl. Everything seemed undercooked and didn't taste good together. Unfortunately next time I wouldn't participate I'll just stick to their Frozen foods.

When I entered restaurant one waitress was coughing all over the place. When I called her on it she said she had coughed one time. Lady I was standing there watching you cough three times with and without covering the cough while I was waiting to be seated. I understand people have to work but please consider your customers who are by the way your money maker, and their health issues. For gosh sakes wear a mask lady!! After looking at the reviews and seeing how far back they go this place obviously doesn't care and neither does the franchise! There's bad reviews all the way back from 10 years ago complaining about the same things over and over. Needless to say I won't ever eat at BE again because they obviously don't give a rats patuti!

stopped in today and waited 5 minutes to be seated no one ever came to seat us everyone looked like they were dead and didn't want to be there they looked right at us and ignored us so we left and went to IHOP instead DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOB EVENS

We stopped at Bob Evans restaurant for breakfast and it was a good experience. We had a table by the window. Our waitress brought our grandkids a straw for drinks and a kid's menu with crayons for drawing. The grandkids picked from the kids menu and the four adults picked oatmeal, omelet's, French toast, eggs and bacon strips. The coffee was warm but the waitress finally brought a pot which was very hot coffee which was great. If you're in Dover, DE please stop at Bob Evans restaurant. The family atmosphere with the friendly wait serve made our experience a delight. Good food and good serve makes for good rest stop. Enjoy!

We have visited Bob Evans many times and loved the service and food, not this particular one however. I must say, it was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant, ever. We went today 8/1/21 around 10am. First I witnessed a guest fall horribly in the front entrance way, I actually had to help her up, it was wet and slippery and she fell and I had to ask an employee to put up a wet floor sign before another patron was hurt. We were told 25 minutes, and an hour and a half later we were finally told by the staff that the management (Heather) said that "no guests are to be seated until all the take out orders are filled." I shared a picture of that for your review. Then another employee came out and said to all the waiting patrons. "Well, we can start seating you, but it it may be 45 minutes until you get your order of food." I get being short staffed, if that was the case, but to allow guests to sit there for hours at a time and not even apologize or update them on the status of their seating? I could have went elsewhere to eat my breakfast. It was like a bunch of teenagers without direction or supervision wondering around aimlessly not knowing what to do. That Bob Evans should be embarrassed on the service they provided today. Poor management was the issue there.

Went to the Bob Evans Restaurant on Dupont Hwy. in Dover Delaware today. It was my wife. myself and my adult son who uses a wheelchair. We were promptly seated and given menus, that is where our service ended. Other people were seated and were served food and drinks. We never saw our waitress!! After 20 minutes we left, they didn't seem to care. We will NEVER be back again!! Bob Mayer I would give no stars!!!!!!!!

A bunch of us came in on a Saturday morning from out of town. They were not busy yet so we were shown our table immediately. Our server was very friendly. We all ordered coffee and water. I ordered the Farmer's Choice. It was eggs scrambled with cheese, a strawberry crepe, links sausage, and home fries with onions. Everything was delicious. My friends also enjoyed their breakfast. They had French toast, eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and a Western omelet. Everything was pretty good. I wonder why reviews prior to mine were unsatisfactory. We enjoyed our food and the service.

Incredibly slow food service. Waited over 60 minutes from sitting down until our food arrived. Two orders never got put into the order and took an additional 20 minutes. Completely unacceptable for this type of food. Servings were much smaller than expected too

This was far from a good experience the food wasn't terrible but the time it took to get the food was astonishing there was almost nobody there and two orders of food took almost a hour and a half. The waitress walked by several times with out saying a word about the wait. The food was missing ingredients and was cold. I won't be returning to a bob evens anytime soon

Good lord this place is terrible! The coffee is like weak dirty water, biscuits are hard, dry and taste like uncooked flour, eggs dry and cold, hash browns have zero seasoning and mushy. I ate a couple bites and just left. I'm a big coffee drinker but I couldn't stomach another cup. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I went into the bathroom. FILTHY!!! It was 8AM. How could it already be that dirty? No way it was cleaned the night before. Way overpriced for what you get. Paid and swore never again!

This restaurant is hit or miss. Really want to make this restaurant a regular since my another loved this place. Went the first time after my Mother passed and the French toast was dry and cold. My new double protein meat bowl was cold and flavorless. I chalked that up and went with my daughter. She ordered the very berry French toast meal. She orders scrambled eggs they gave her a small omelette looking thing. Her French toast like my husband's dry! I orders the new western avocado omelette.. they didn't have the avocado or the sauce. The homefries burned, greasy and had a hair on it. I asked for the avocado and lime sauce and she brought it out. Looked the receipt and was charged $1.50 for something that was supposed to come with meal. After I brought it to her attention she took it off. She was not attentive at all. Walked past us a lot and not once asked us if we wanted a drink until I waved her down. Not happy. Not sure if I'll give them another chance. Maybe will travel a bit further to a different one and see if the service is different. Wish me luck!

Let's start with a half full restaurant and nearly 30 minutes before they sat anyone! When went to sign our group in, I told the woman how many were in our party she didn't write the information down. When I questioned that I was told that she would remember which group came first...spoiler alert-no she didn't! There seems to be a full staff attending to the restaurant so I asked my server what seemed to be the cause of the slow seating she starred at me blankly and said, "I don't know." When I could clearly hear the next section being provided with a reason for the poor service. This is where the Captain goes down with the ship! The manager in charge needs more training. The manager needs to have the check in process more organized. The manager needs to get the woman's room cleaned, it smells like it's been kenneling a group of non-housebroken puppies, and for goodness shaken please refill the soap. Ps...the butter would be easier to spread with silverware. When all was said and done our dinner (what should have been a late lunch) was good. Not worth the hour plus wait--but good. Rating is for the poor quality service and lack of managerial direction.

I have to say Bob Evans is consistent from one city to the next. The farmer's breakfast is my fav. I am not a big sweets fan so I shy away from things like the buckeye short stack. However you get good fresh eggs, tasty bacon or sausage with home fries or hash browns. If there is a negative for me it's the coffee. I am relegated to drink de-caf. But it's a bit tasteless. Great for families and reasonably priced. Wish they had waffles with chicken! Only because BE has the best fried chicken in town.

We stopped at this restaurant on the way home from the beach, there were definitely better places that we could have stopped. We had to wait five minutes to be seated before we even got anyone's attention, and after finally being seated we still had to wait for anyone to take our orders. The funniest part? The place was practically dead. My grandparents got breakfast and they seemed to enjoy it, my burger on the other hand was awful. The taste was horrid. Our waitress was not attentive at all, we had to go up front to ask for a box on our way out and none of us got any drink refills as we weren't going to beg another waitress for them. Oh yeah, and the toilet was leaking out the top.

So we got the recommended dinner the waitress offered us. Country fried steak and the turkey platter. The turkey looked nothing like the picture, two small dry and hard pieces with over salted gravy ! Carrot were bland. Food was Luke warm. I'm not a complainer at all but it was just bad. Both our stomachs hurt after eating. In fact they are still cramping as we drive 2 hours away. Don't risk it!

This is a solid Bob Evans location. It is fast, friendly and the food is solidly good. We come here quite often and have not found it to be anything other than friendly, the orders are generally served correctly and is very, very clean. I am a fan of the Farmers Choice Breakfast platter as I get all of my taste buds satisfied all in one meal. This location gets quite busy on the weekend during the breakfast crowd time. We are generally there during this time as well. We have found that the wait time actually is quick in comparison to most of the breakfast locations in the area. While it is busy during this time, the food orders come quickly and correct. I do not like to have to spend a lot of time sitting around just to eat the most important meal of the day (breakfast). This location helps me in not having a long wait on the weekend. I think Bon Evans restaurants helps satisfy a lot of comfort food desires with Breakfast and lunch and dinner options. The staff seems quite friendly and hospitable. This is solid restaurant with solid customer service. The manager is generally there out front and helping to keep everything moving. They are always visible and no slackers. Bon Appetit!!!!!

Submitted an online order at 730pm night before for a 1030 pick up the next day. We arrived at 1030am and waited for 45 minutes before being given our order. The place was so unorganized, people waiting, canceling orders. I haven't even gotten to the food yet but I won't be surprised if its cold. Not worth the $70 paid for a bundle meal. One star for customer service. We will not be returning after reading the other reviews it seems they will never get it together.

As a whole, the visit was fine. Restaurant was clean and servers were friendly. We came in for breakfast on our way out of town. The food was really good flavor wise but came out nearly cold for both my wife and my plates. I would have sent it back if I wasn't so hungry by the time it arrived. It wasn't overly busy and the orders weren't anything special so it seemed that they just let the plates sit too long before serving them to to us. I was told by the other Bob Evans location in Camden on a separate occasion that they were closed when I came in too late for the crews liking even though it was well before the stores closing hours as posted on the door. It seems that employees don't ever have to worry about being called out if there is no Bob Evans Survey to be found nor a customer complaint # posted.

My dad and I had a late lunch here today, delicious!! My dad is a regular, so he knew to order the biscuits - the best I've ever had!! So light and fluffy, yum. I had the chicken pot pie and it was also yummy and came to the table piping hot, outstanding. My dad enjoyed his meal of chicken fried steak too. Our server, Deja was very nice and attentive. After reading some of the negative reviews, I felt I should offer a shout out on the great experience we had today. We will definitely be back!

Such potential unrealized. It's like they were given a blueprint for success, but didn't clearly understand the manual. Wide/Spacious entry leading into a well spaced interior. It actually feels better spaced than other Bob Evans. The greeting from the hostess/waitress seemed awkward and a bit stilted, but friendly nonetheless. The service was intermittent. Our server was there...and gone...and there...and gone. Part of the meal was delivered, but another was left under a heat lamp. Room temperature "hot" food is not what expected. My plate was greasy. The part that held food was greasy. The part that was free of food was greasy. Not sure how that happen, and I was a bit too worried they might tell me if I did ask. The bottomless coffee stayed at the bottom of my coffee cup, except for one refill. Yes, I could have flagged down a server to ask for more coffee (and more hot chocolate for my son), but that was not the promised service. They can improve easily, and I hope they do. A bit of elbow grease (not cooking grease), visit a few good businesses that do it right, and B.Evans will be able to selected as a good breakfast destination.

I wish I could give this business less than 1 star. We were there a full 40 minutes before receiving our meal. The restaurant was not at all busy, so there no excuse for this lengthy, frustrating wait. The waitress was extremely rude and aggressive as she delivered our meal, slamming everything down on the table. She was inattentive to say the least, never checking on us or asking about refills. The turkey in my sandwich was hard, so much so that I had to cut the edges off. It was a melt, and the cheese was not melted. The soup was lukewarm, and the wildfire salad the chicken pieces were so hard and dry that they crunched when bitten. The person who checked us out (not the waitress) was rude, and barely said a word. Didn't ask about our experience at all. Overall the dining experience here was disgracefully poor, I will not be returning, and I will advise any of my friends not to go there. Very disappointed.

I understand their menu is limited and all however it was terrible. The waiter did great for being the only one serving at the time. We ordered the basic breakfast meal, Double Meat Farmer. Hash browns (ordered extra well done), eggs over medium, bacon and sausage patties, with french toast. When our food came, we asked for ketchup for the potatoes, they were completely out. Bit into the potatoes and they were barely cooked, almost raw still. Took a bite of the sausage patty and spit that out immediately. It tasted like chemicals, something was way wrong with it. The bacon was barely cooked, half of it was still pink/raw. The only decent thing was the two over medium eggs and the French toast.

So I think my biggest mistake today was sitting at my table for 20 mins before being greeted and then another ten to get my drink finally.... I ordered a three meat omelet which is supposed to have sausage, ham, bacon and then onions and tomatoes.... also ordered those cinnamon biscuit things in the beginning and they were more or less just not right.... anyways get my order and the hash browns are undercooked and I had cheese on them so it tasted like grease and cheese and my omelet had no tomato or onion so I politely ask for them to fix it ( which I usually never do but I was hungry sooooo I wanted it right) the manager comes and has no people skill what so ever. He literary is like well with hash browns there will be grease so I'm like yeah I know Uhm but the problem is they are undercooked so the grease taste is very prominent. He mentions my omelet not having the correct ingridients and says "maybe there was a loss of communication between you and your server" uhmmm excuse me sir I literally ordered a meal listed on here I didn't build my own omelet but okay cool. They bring it back after discusing if it had cheese on the hash browns so they hurried and sprinkled alittle cheddar on them. Okay hash browns alittle cooked cool but now my omelette was swimming in grease so I eat two bites but convince myself not to eat it because tbh it was gross so I just stack the plates and ask for the check. The server says "kinda disappointing huh" I am like yeah but it's fine I'm just ready to go. The manager comes over with the check and says so I took off 20% which is 6 dollars since you had to wait for it to be cooked.... so I say Thankyou, but in my head I'm just like sir I've been waiting in this establishment for two hours just to get a correctly cooked omelet and hash browns tbh There was only a few tables in there He never even attempted to apologize for mistakes Also when we were waiting for 20 mins to be acknowledged at our table he and employees walked by our table several times. To top it off the employees were loudly discussing their personal lives like buying cigarettes from a guy next door and just other ridiculous things like some one named Kim there they didn't like.... or walking by mumbling about being upset ‍‍‍ I've never been as annoyed at a place as I was today and literally I think it was the fact I was disrespected by the lack of communication or apologies.

I placed a delivery order at 5:04 and the delivery was supposed to arrive by 5:49. I was notified that the delivery driver was at the store at 5:34 but my order was not ready. I didn't receive my order until 6:50. I waited almost 2 hours for a cold burger and fries. Every time we've eaten in store the service is terrible and no one there seems to know how to cook because everything is sent out burnt or cold. We used to enjoy this place years ago but it has really gone down hill.

Thank you to the Bob Evans North Dover staff ! They packed a wonderful meal for me to bring to my parents for Thanksgiving and we are so grateful. The place was bustling and still everything was perfect . It truly takes the pressure off of us, when caring for my mothers dementia , and she loved every bite. And that is saying ALOT ! Your staff was so kind that I had to write my first yelp review ! See you at Christmas !

We have been loyal customers of this Bob Evans for years and it has been great. But ! We made the mistake of ordering the Thanksgiving Feast $59.99 . Big Mistake. We opened the box to heat the prepared meal 2 hours before we were to have dinner. There were 8 slices of turkey as thin as the super market Deli-Style Turkey used for a sandwich. The rolls were stale. The corn was hard as gravel. We ended up ordering turkey subs to go with the BE stuffing which was edible. The green beans were ok also. Bob Evans should be ashamed of this take-home meal. Forget about getting in touch with Bob Evans Customer Service. The robot that answers transfers you all over and finally asks you twice to leave a message. I've left messages and NO ONE CALLS BACK !

Slow morning, both with the amount of patrons and the service (or lack there of). Maybe if you came back to the table you would have gotten a decent tip; instead you got what earned. Coffee: weak and warm at best, omelette undercooked, toast not toasted, I didn't get asked for refills until the check was in my hand. Oh yeah, and my table was wet when we sat down .

I would normally give Bob Evans five stars as it is one of our favorite restaurants, but this was a less than five-star experience this time. The waitress and cashier were super friendly and nice. My turkey 55+ special was perfect (cranberry sauce was mostly juice though). However, my wife had the cod dinner and it was nearly raw. Despite it being uncooked we did not have time to send it back and request another or further cooking. Too bad as our experience with other Bob Evans restaurants in the past has been good.

Went here for breakfast today. There was a hair in my husband's coffee, and there was a hair underneath the scrambled eggs on his plate. The manager gave us four dollars off our meal, which we ended up throwing in the garbage because it was absolutely disgusting. They did offer to recook the food, but who wants to take a chance like that. Now I realize why I had never been previously. I have never heard anybody give this place a good review.

Me and my boyfriend went here for breakfast before our 2 hour long trip back to Maryland. Our waitress was great she checked back to make sure we were fine and kept the refills coming. The food was phenomenal. And got everything tasted great I would definitely go back.

The personnel turnover here is high. I always get a server who doesn't know the menu. It takes forever to get seated, The food takes too long to arrive, and is only warm. The food is pretty good, but it's hard to mess up eggs and burgers. All in all this is a typical franchise, with frozen food, and frankly, there are better places to eat. The servers are usually nice but not very well-trained. The last time I was in it took so long to get the food The server appeared beside herself and was super apologetic. I felt really bad for her.

I just came here with my daughter and son and I had by far the nastiest meal. I tried both my kids meals and they tasted terrible. I will admit that we came here at night, but that shouldn't excuse having pancakes tasting like plastic! The hash browns tasted like paper plates and my crepes were soggy with barely any cream. My son got a meal with steak and the texture could be compared to rubber. Overall this was not a good experience at all and I will not be returning. Thank you Passion! (October 12th, 2019)
