16 Drive-Thru Restaurant Options in Los Angeles - Eater LA
"Boba Ave 8090 is a far better choice than queuing up at a random Starbucks drive-thru. The menu includes boba varieties including jasmine, brown sugar, and purple sweet potato, along with popcorn-fried chicken." - Farley Elliott, Mona Holmes

"For a boba fix anytime of day, there’s Boba Ave Express in Arcadia. The drive-thru is open until midnight and serves Taiwanese snacks like popcorn chicken, braised pork, and tea eggs in addition to dozens of drinks." - Cathy Chaplin
It used to taste great, but not anymore. I ordered half sugar, but it tasted like it was 100% sugar. The milk tea also tasted off, almost like a chemical flavor. On the plus side, the portion size was really huge! 😂

It's a half & half so never disappoints and always delivers.
The lady at the counter was nice and explained everything and ended up getting the classic boba with almond flavor. The bobas were chewy and sweet just perfect and the tea was so smooth 👍👍.

Strawberry yogurt was way way too sweet, then somehow too sour. Didn't have enough tapioca pearls that were undercooked anyways. Thai tea was way too bitter, had to stop by a 7 eleven for sugar packets to make it drinkable. Only saving grace was that it's open till midnight and had good customer service. needs a lot of work .

4.5. Place is legit. The large is actually an XL. Strawberry yogurt is my fav. Popcorn chicken is awesome. My go to from now on in Arcadia. There is a line tho. I would order ahead to save the wait. Fun times. Cool vibe.

Absolutely disgusting !!! Half way through our popcorn chicken, we found a died fly that has been deep fried, make me want to throw up. My five year daughter was sharing this food. So people check your food and drink for bugs because you may find some.

Decided to check out this place at 10:pm for the first time was relatively packed. Ordered 1 drink price $6-7 waited about 1 hr in the drive thru. I'm not inpatient because I assumed the drink was going to be good. I got my drink and it was terrible... instead of waiting for another drink I took it and left. Communication when ordering with the staff was very difficult. As I was checking out a man approached the drive through and was complaining to the worker that they forgot 2 of his drinks only handing him the food... overall I think there is quicker and better tasting boba in this area!

The drive thru can be a bit of a wait, but there's a reason for it. The boba drink was good. My guest tried the Almond Tea Boba with no sugar. They offer you levels of sweetness ranging from zero to 50%. It was delicious. I opted for the Mango and yogurt blend with 25% sweetness, but will go with no sugar next time since I really enjoyed the natural flavors. Total spent was $14.36.

Was craving boba late at night so tried the drive through with friends. It took a bit of time but it was definitely worth it! I got the grape with cheese foam, very tasty and well priced. Would definitely recommend!
