Boba Bar and Desserts

Highly recommend this boba and dessert shop. They have boba tea, slushy, smoothie, milk tea, and more drinks. They have so many dessert bowls, and puff waffles too. There are some tables to sit inside, but not much. The staff were friendly. Parking is very difficult to find.

I've recently become addicted to Oolong Milk Tea and this place did not disappoint. It averages around $8 which is not too bad. They also have a lot of drink varieties with many yummy options you won't know what to choose. I got my favorite but there were definitely many tempting and sweet options.

Yummy boba at Boba Bar! We ordered the brown sugar marble and oolong milk tea and loved them. The service was friendly and quick. We also brought our dog in and they didn’t seem to mind. Recommend for some tasty boba. Parking in the lot can be challenging so I do street parking and walk for a bit.

Very nice and clean place and very good Boba smoothie and teas. They even custom-made a smoothie for me, which taste awesome. They also have a very good variety of ice creams etc.

Great little place! The taro smoothie with soy milk was perfectly creamy and the flavor was spot on. Got 25% sweet and might get even less next time, with extra boba. Only downside is the $1 charge for non cow milk / no dairy. $9.60 total for my drink, so a little expensive to come often.

Lots of good boba and ice cream options. The Mango green tea is very good. They used to have Mango star jellies, and they don't any more. They may have other fun jelly options still.

Dang. Double dang. This place is good. Quick and friendly service. Super clean. The flavor combinations are incredible. Serving sizes are perfect. Sweetness is right on the money. All this tucked away in such an unassuming little corner of Convoy St. Highly recommend coming to Boba Bar and Desserts and sampling the flavors here.

Pleasing aesthetic with a well-decorated interior. Their music selection complements it quite well. The cashier as well as her coworkers were exceptionally helpful and assisted me in choosing what drink would suit my taste best. Very well staffed, resulting in my friends and I receiving our orders quite quickly. My "wintergreen milk tea" wasn't mindblowing, but it tasted good enough that when coupled with the environment, I had quite a pleasant experience.

We placed the following for delivery: Pina colada Milk tea & boba Strawberry cheesecake waffle with soft serve Pineapple green tea Everything was delicious. The boba is prepared well and has good chewy consistency. Drinks were not too sweet. Would definitely order from them again.

Tried this spot after dinner and we loved it! The Brooke Puffle and Milk and cookie Puffle were delicious! They're big so definitely share! They come out pretty quick and the staff is nice and helpful!

My jasmine milk tea with boba hit the spot!! I loved that they had tons of unique options and combinations. One of my friends got a Thai Tea with Oreo and Cream Foam and loved it. The line was a bit long when we arrived, but the line moved quickly and we got our boba relatively quickly. They have ample seating, better for smaller groups. Would definitely return!

Had a jasmine milk tea with boba half sweet, turned out to be just ok. Have had much better at other shops in the area, tea flavor wasn't all that potent and boba weren't all that sweet either. Would air on the side of more sweetness at this place. $7 for the drink about average these days. There are 2 parking spots specifically for this place out front in what is always a crowded parking lot. Service was very friendly and prompt. Feel there are better places around for the same price and less hectic parking!

Very delicious treats, $12 for each. Very clean and neat, 2nd time visiting and so far it never misses Parking lot is pretty small but you have a parking garage on other side of the plaza

Went inside and it's cute. I love penguins so I loved seeing all of the penguins everywhere. The staff were okay they said hi but then were pretty quiet after that. I was annoyed because after I ordered my drink I realized she gave us a large and didn't ask what size we wanted. She assumed we'd wanted a large size. I just thought they all came in one size until I saw the smaller cups. I ordered the Oreo milk tea with oat milk and added boba. It was not good at all. It didn't have any Oreo taste and tasted like watery. My husband ordered a brown sugar drink and that was really good. The boba doesn't taste fresh. It had a weird taste. I obviously ordered the wrong drink, but even with my husband's drink I just didn't care for the boba itself. I have had better. I wanted to like this place because of how much I love penguins, but I just didn't care for it.

Delicious!! We've had their egg waffle + ice cream and their boba here. It is a little pricey but what isn't nowadays? The ladies behind the counter are super nice and answer any questions you may have about the menu items (and even offer suggestions!). I like how they leave out water cups + water. It's a really small aspect but appreciated. The store is tiny but simple, located in a lot with a bunch of other stores. There's about 3-4 tables where people can sit and enjoy their dessert and boba!

Oreo Thai tea with salted cheese cream Black out Puffle: Oreo puffle with vanilla custard, Oreo chocolate & condensed milk. Busy busy parking lot! This spot is pretty popping; playing good music and long lines. They have a lot of options in the menu! Lots of drinks, ice cream, & pufffle flavors! The two items we got were delicious!! Definitely would come back to try other items!

This place was packed so we already expected it to be good and we were not disappointed. We got the brown sugar boba soft serve which was soo yummy. Then we customized our own puffle custard which we made to be Oreo strawberry cheesecake with a Peanutbutter chip puffle. I didn't think we'd manage to finish very much of it since the portion size is large, but it was so good we scarfed most of it down.

First time trying this boba place and really enjoyed it! Right on Convoy Street, it's in a strip mall with other food restaurants and one great thing is they have a parking garage in the back. It's a rather small narrow store with a bright aesthetic and does have some indoor seating. I really love their menu and everything looked good but I decided to go with one of my favorites - taro Oreo cookie boba milk tea with soy milk. While in hindsight I probably should've got the smoothie version, the flavor was very good and wasn't too sweet. I wish they had a larger size since I slurped that thing up fast! It is a little pricey but what isn't now days. A lot of reviews remark about less than great customer service, but in my experience, they were friendly and asked if I wanted all the toppings/boba. The person ringing me up seemed new but otherwise did a good job. I will definitely be making future trips here.

It's a problem when I walk in and spend 10 minutes deciding what to order because it ALL looks good. I was eyeing the puffle desserts made with the waffle puff and filled with soft serve and whatever else you could dream of, but my crew kept it lighter. I ordered the coconut smoothie, which I sucked down before I left. Sad that I had to say bye, because it was so coconut forward, cold, smooth and yummy. My husband ordered the affogato after seeing they had vanilla soft serve on the menu. The last time he had an affogato was a few years back and he said it was superb. My niece ordered the peach green tea which came with lychee or some fruit flavored jelly on the bottom. We'll definitely be back to grab a dole whip, a strawberry puffle, and another coconut smoothie.

Stopped in on a Sunday to grab a sweet treat Decided on a Brown sugar Milo. It was so good because once the Milo spread out and went to the actually milk it and up the straw it was like a crushed cookie . I had never tried this kind of boba . I always played it safe . I'm glad I got a chance to experience something new. Next time I go I'm getting that huge cheesecakes dessert .

Decent place to go on a weekday, I wouldn't bother on weekends though, cuz there will be no parking with a big period!!!! I ordered the Paradise!!! Look at the size of it, it's would sure suit the spot for breakfast or brunch!! Or just having the sweet tooth!! The service is quick. Place is ambiance, but once the owners friends show up, they started to closed their doors. Don't know what's up, being it's mixed with English & Vietnamese languages. Who knows. It's good for the taste. Would I return? Probably a big not. - no parking. I will pass, And no forks for digging through this, the only serving were spoons. I guess I'm old fashioned- I like forks for this type of things. Cuz I'm clearly not going to use my hands for this!! Lol

Ambiance: cute small location. Very clean and well kept. Service: decent Food: tried the puffle for the first time. Family ordered 3 different kinds so we can try out different flavors. They are different and fun. It's like soft round breading that serves like a waffle cone. Overall fun to try and they do present them really pretty. Pretty close to the images they have but they substitute with what ingredients they have. They do have so many other options on the menu but we were there to try the puffle.

This was a pretty good bar it has a lot of options for a sweet tooth and also it has coffee and bubble teas witch I love it's a small businesses but with these good options it's going to grow

The Food,The Service and The Ambiance and the 3 were on point. Great to stop for Boba right on convoy st in lovely San Diego.

Worst customer service ever. The three young ladies were too busy gossiping than actually making sure they were calling the name with the order out loud. When I did walk up and ask if one of the orders had a name the young lady tried to be dismissive cutting me off saying yes that's for you. While they had seen me still waiting on my order the whole time.

Delicious boba drinks, perfectly sweet and and large helping of boba. So delish and great menu of fun items!

One of the many options for boba on Convoy! This one is in the Kura/Dumpling Inn plaza so parking is thankfully a little better. Food: The drink options are good and I like the ube options but the boba itself is okay, definitely better boba elsewhere. However if you're looking for puffles, come here! All of their puffles are amazing so in my mind this is a puffle place more than a boba place. Service: Order at the counter and they'll call out your number. Never been busy whenever I went but I'm sure it can get packed sometimes considering what else is around. Ambiance: Typical boba shop vibes. Lot of small tables. They had a great hip-hop/r&b playlist going when we went last time. Water: There's a self-serve water dispenser next to the counter. Wish it was cold but at least it was full!

Made a custom brown sugar latte sun with Vietnamese coffee... this of life. Came here initially for a puffle dessert, but the Vietnamese coffe was calling. Service was so fast. Once I paid, my drink was made I. Less than 30 seconds. I turned to sit and had to get right up to pick up my drink... delicious is its name. Also ordered a jasmine green tea with salted cheese cream... delicious as well! Thank you for a wonderful drinks and the lightning fast service!

Happen to see this place walking one night. The menu on the window looked inviting. Returned and ordered a Green Tea Passion Tea w Lychee Jelly. It was average and I like Happy Lemon better. Also had a Strawberry Milk Tea w Mango Boba. This drink was delicious. But I can tell that I am returning for Bubble Waffle desserts. They look amazing with great combinations. I will update my review. Service was friendly and fast.

They are overcharging customers. I noticed and the two workers and they said nothing. Charge the prices you have listed on the door.

Discovered this boba spot during a weekend getaway in San Diego. Opted for the brown sugar milk tea, but unfortunately, the boba was disappointingly hard, and the drink tasted somewhat watered down- I prefer a strong tea taste. On a positive note, the place had a cute ambiance, and the service was top-notch. Hoping for an improvement in the drink quality next time! In a busy plaza with a small parking lot.

I actually ordered from this place through ubereats before their closing time and they prepared the order pretty quickly and got it sent out in time. I totally forgot to take pictures but I ordered the strawberry colado and the banana puffle. I actually liked their puffle with their various batter flavors. The drinks were good even after a 20-30 minute uber delivery so that accounts for their product. Not a bad place to try!

Always good boba after getting food. They're fast, but I can't say they're always friendly, but that doesn't bother me since we're in and out.

Got the Dole Pineapple and it was sooo good and refreshing !! I came to try out their mango puffle, but they were all out ! This second choice did not disappoint. Tasted like I was in Hawaii! Parking is chaotic to say the least , but if you have a sweet tooth this plaza has many deliciousness of unique items to try !! Inside looked clean, great music , and cool vibe ! Service was also fast and kind. 4 stars bc I have yet to return when they had not ran out of the popular puffles!

They have a bunch of misc dessert options so if your group is craving different sweets this is a safe bet! The staff are nice and the place is welcoming to guests. The inside is pretty cold though so bring a jacket!

Conveniently located in the same shopping center as the restaurant we came to for dinner. We noticed a crazy crowd of people standing in line and music we heard drew us in. As we passed by, we noticed the crowd was there for dessert and knew this had to be somewhere we stopped by on the way to our hotel. When I saw their later business hours, I knew we had to save room for dessert. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff, and this small shop does an impressive amount of volume hences the crowd. You order, give a name and your number; and then you exit and wait. They recommended their puffles and taro ice cream. I'm an island girl, they sold me at Taro. I fell in love with the Purple Oreo puffle. We ordered a scoop of taro ice cream and two taro milk teas with boba. We had to wait a little for the Purple Puffle, but I could be here every day. I wish we had a place like this in Reno/Sparks. I hope this place is still here when I come back to San Diego.

Always super yummy to go to after Kura. The workers are fast and efficient. The surrounding is very cute and welcoming.

First time to this shop today, inside is super clean and has the standard seating for a boba shop. I really liked that there is a water pitcher in the lobby with cups to cut through all the sweets. I ordered the milk & cookies with chocolate ice cream at the bottom & vanilla custard on top. It was delicious!! The puffle was so fresh and chewy too! The strawberry colada was very smooth and refreshing as well. The milk & cookies with strawberries was super delicious too! The workers had great service, answered all of my questions since I was new to this shop. Definitely recommend this shop, it's a lot nice on the inside compared to the outside. Parking is kinda tough in this area, but there is a parking structure behind it that offers paid parking.

Sugary sweet perfection! Boba Bar has something for everyone. Need a little caffeine boost? Go with a milk tea. The almond is my favorite. Want something sweet to drink? I love the slushies and don't forget to add salted cheese cream. Wanna go all out? Puffles it is! You can customize or get one of their signature cheats filled to the brim with ice cream and all sorts of toppings. Solid spot for sugary treats!

S'more puffle chocolate filled so good!also ordered the strawberry cheesecake and it was even better! No fancy signs outside, don't be fooled. So worth it.

Didn't get a chance to take a picture. The pineapple Boba slidg was great wife said 10/10. I got the perfection puffle. Honey drizzle mango strawberry and banana. Pure bliss. With dole whip I e cream and vanilla custard mixed. We will be back every visit. 10/10 all the way around. Service was attentive and great. Nice modern ice cream place feel. Tile.on the counter is really cool.

A cute little boba shop with lots of options and some delicious looking puffle desserts. We just got the milk teas this time but they have lots of drinks and ice cream choices to choose from. The place is in the back corner of a little shopping area so the parking is somewhat difficult to get but there is a paid parking lot just a few buildings down. Great spot to come after a delicious meal.

This review is based on the milk tea. And from what we had, I wouldn't recommend the milk teas to anyone unless you're not a full fledged boba lover, don't get bubble tea often and enjoy basic boba with artificial flavor and color. It's super cool that they offer oat, almond, coconut & soy milk alternatives. But the jasmine milk tea tasted watered down, not much jasmine aroma/flavor but was also bitter and had a weird stale taste. It was incredibly unenjoyable. The taro Oreo milk tea w/ sea salt cream tasted basic like artificial flavoring with no real taro and also there was no sea salt cream on the top of the drink. So I don't know if they mix it in? But that's not what anywhere else I've seen does. The boba.... Smaller than average boba. Unsatisfying size to chew. Cooked but not as soft and chewy. It was sweet, very bland, and didn't have a nice flavor. It just tasted like refined sugar and made me think of low quality quick cook boba. Maybe the bubble waffle is much better. Seems like that could be a better option for this place.

Boba Bar and Desserts is located in the same plaza as Kura Sushi with parking available. My husband and I came by this place earlier today, around 4:10 pm. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Medium winter melon milk tea, $4.75 prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. His drink was bitter which was most likely due to tea that has been over steeped and was also very sweet. My husband added water to it to make it a little bit more palatable, but that bitterness really messed up the taste for him. Medium almond milk tea, $4.75 prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with no ice and also with 50% sweetener but wished I had ordered it to be made with 25% sweetener because it was just too sweet. I also added water to it until I was able to drink it drinkable for my standards. ---------------------- (Total= $10.24 after tax) This was definitely a bummer for us because I was really hoping this place would be better since its so highly rated on Yelp (overall rating of 4.5 stars with over 1000+ reviews). I really feel like we could have had better.

Decent dessert place. It's cute and quaint inside. The employees are nice. I always get a bubble waffle and share it. There's a lot of variety on the menu.

My favorite item here is the puff waffle. Drinks are kind of pricey but great service and great environment to chill with family and friends.

Boba Bar was our first stop on vacation because we wanted a snack and something to drink. They're known for their puffle desserts, but we ended up getting a plain one for my son, which he enjoyed. The puffle had a nice crispy outside and soft center. For drinks, we shared an earl gray milk tea and oolong milk tea. Both drinks were overly sweet even at 25%. Disappointing, as I didn't get to enjoy the tea. We both didn't finish our drinks and threw them away when we got back to our hotel. Not a fan of their boba, stick to their desserts.

The menu on the big light board show my order only cost $10.5. But I was charge $12 (not include tax). I was surprised, before I paid I confirm again my order is for Greentea Oreo Cheese Cake (and point the board), she said yes, the line is long so I just paid first and checked the receipt later. Right after I paid, I received an email receipt, and see the price different from the board. I asked the cashier, she didn't pay attention of the different price. Then she told me it was the old menu price on the board and the price already changed. I told her how come she didn't inform me earlier. She said it is out of her control. So? If the price change, customer supposed to know before paying, or I supposed to get back part of my money because I looked for the price on the board not the price in her own system. - the dessert is ok. Not really special. The puffle of other place I tried is big, hot and the ice cream is cold so they mix very good. But this one the puffle is small, cool, not hot at all... The cheese cake bites are good bites... but.. that's it for what we over expect. It quite over price for $12 (medium/small cup) for what I experienced compare to many other places I've been to. I don't think I want to come back here again. Just one time try is good enough. I prefer to go other dessert places next by instead.

Post-dinner means boba time!! I love everything and anything matcha-flavored so you best believe I tried the Matcha Milk Tea. I was so surprised by how creamy and authentic the matcha tasted. Definitely worth trying!! Next on my list: their puffles.

Got their lychee dragonfruit and it was really good! I recommend getting it with crystal boba if you want something to crunch on!

Ordered a Vietnamese milk coffee ($5.50) and an Avocado Smoothie ($6.50). Both were good, but were definitely powdered/ extract-based and not from real Vietnamese coffee or avocados. Not sure what I was expecting at this price point in the area, but it was just ok.

Pistachio smoothie with boba - Pros: they use real pistachio nuts in the smoothie. Cons: this tastes bland. The texture was more like a slush so maybe they added too much ice? Taro Oreo smoothie with boba - great combination. It costs $0.75 more for some reason. It's pricey for the size and quality. The two drinks total was $17. I'm still shocked by the price of boba drinks these days. Service was quick. Parking is limited on a busy day.

This is my family's go-to boba shop. We love their specials, typically getting the mango lava (mango slushie with strawberry puree topped with vanilla custard), lychee dragonfruit slushie with puree, and honeydew smoothie with mango puree and topped with vanilla custard. If I'm craving milk tea and coffee, I get the coffee milk tea. They're always so nice here. I can order ahead and they're very quick with filling orders. This location can get pretty busy but it makes sense because they're very good here in both product and service. Puffles can take a while to make. I know how difficult it can be to make them. But they're yummy. Good treat to order once in a while and so many topping options. If you like Dole Whips, they have them here. No need to go all the way to Disneyland anymore for them. Parking can be difficult here. They do have a couple spaces reserved for their customers but be prepared for a pretty packed parking lot.

Fast service. Loved the boba and the fruit dessert we ordered. Parking was a challenge but was able to find one right in front of the store.

August 2022 Food/Pricing - On the pricier side. $6.73 (including tax) for a regular size Thai Tea Smoothie. Tasty but I'd want to try out another drink next time. Service/Ambiance - Friendly and quick service! Drinks came out fast. Parking - Parking lot is busy but didn't take long to find a spot.

Yum! A boba bar that also serves desserts? How delicious! We came in late on a Monday night and even though I anticipated it wouldn't be busy, people were lining up behind us. I got a rose milk tea, jasmine milk tea & a strawberry milk tea. All of the teas were delicious. This is a place that does ratio the tea to ice so if you get a tea with no ice like I did then they will not fill it to the top. Hence why I'm knocking off a star. Also none of my teas were really filled to the top of the cup. Other than that it was a pleasant experience! Good boba & good teas! I wish I would of tried the ice cream options because they looked delicious!
