Meiji-Era Japanese Vase for Sale At Spenger’s Fresh Fish Grotto Auction | Eater SF

"In Palo Alto at 855 El Camino Real, Suite 120 I found Boba Guys’ ninth Bay Area location — a sleek, minimalist, grab-and-go shop with white walls and pale wood, no seating, and their usual menu of small-batch milk teas like the popular strawberry matcha latte; the space also has a much bigger kitchen in anticipation of serving snacks from chef Deuki Hong." - Janelle Bitker

Google
American bubble tea! Nice! The bobas/pearls are not big…hence not chewy enough. I think… the best bobas I ever had are from Chicha San Chen cos they are really big and very chewy! I can even cut a piece into quarters…with my teeth! 😁

Google
Very tasty boba, well made with great portions. The employees were very nice. Not very much sitting or standing room available. Will have to sit outside somewhere around the public seating closer to parking area. You will likely need to order at the kiosk that does not take cash.

Char P.

Google
Tried the boba tea here a couple times. They're okay. I always choose the Less Sweet option because regular is a little too sweet for my taste. The Less Sweet option made my boba taste a little bit bitter. The staff are absolutely polite and helpful if you have any questions about their menu and products. They do get quite a bit busy, especially at the end of the day towards the weekend. The shop can get a little bit crowded during the busy times, but the staff will step out to hand you your boba tea if you decide to wait right outside the shop door.

Google
Boba is cooked to perfection and has a tasty sweet flavor and the perfect amount of chewiness. The drinks are good, but their staple is definitely the boba. Bob's Guys have a decent selection of drinks, but the neat thing about this place is customizations. Service is fast, even when they are busy, so don't be intimidated by the line because I'll probably go by quick.

Google
Decent boba in ok location. Busy shopping plaza makes this shop stressful to visit. Parking very tight on weekends and afternoons. Boba branded products (shirts, bags, mugs) not great quality and very overpriced. Being a trendy shop you can expect a wait, though not really worth it. Given they are so busy the shop is about quantity and not quality of drinks.

Google
The strawberry matcha is really good! But I would have hoped for a better description photo. The rice bobas on the ad photo don’t come with the default drink. An additional specification on this would be great.

Janaki V

Google
Had the mango and berry hibiscus tea with boba, chia and aloe. It was fun. Do try if you are around. Self order at the kiosk and the tea is made fresh to order.

Denis C.

Google
Great boba drinks! I enjoyed the caffeine free tea, something that's quite rare! Great taste but a little on the sweet side even at 50% (recommended sweetness level)

Yelp
Parking - there's a private parking lot. No issues finding parking You place your order and pay on their touch screen so ordering is a breeze. Ordered: Matcha strawberry on ice - so delicious. I would order again

Yelp
We keep telling ourselves to give Boba Guys another chance after some less-than-pleasant drinks, so here we are! There's a kiosk off to the side to order from here. As with all Boba Guys, no drinks come with boba; it's an extra charge to add some. We ordered the jasmine green and the horchata, with boba in each. The jasmine green was too sweet - even at 25% sugar. It was also on the blander side. The horchata was incredibly watery, and only tasted of cinnamon. The boba in our drinks were hard - which was strange, considering we came around dinner time. Maybe there's not too much traffic coming in?

Yelp
Korean Banana Milk is my go to drink here. Place is nice, just wish their drink options were more vast. Versus the valley fair location, this one pales in comparison. The drinks are good quality, and for being located inside the town and country village it is really accessible. I would go here for a grab and go.

Kellie K.

Yelp
Boba guys. I used to dream of their boba when I come home to visit my family during the holidays, and now it seems they've changed their boba? They used to be soft, large, chewy and now they're small and lack the same chewy & soft goodness. So disappointed as I went here for years. The tea itself is still good but whyyyyy would you change the boba?

Yelp
Good location and fast, friendly service. Located in an area where there at lots of shops and easy parking. Would be fun to spend sometime in the area shopping, having a meal and ending with a boba drink! I got the iced Uber Latte which had a taro-like flavor. Boba was average and I would have liked a little more.
google avatar

Yelp
Strawberry matcha 3/5 - this is the only drink I get here. But today it tasted a bit watered down. The boba was also a little hard. Sad because boba guys is expensive

Yelp
This location, just like the rest, is consistently good. Their boba is made locally in Hayward, which I don't believe any other boba shops even do. Well Xing Fu Tang only very recently in the history of boba shops in the Bay Area lol But these have much more of that classic QQ, al dente texture. There's options for the classic boba drinker, the non dairy, and the coffee connoisseur as well. Not all of their drinks can be customized so be sure to ask, and have a backup option if they can't alter it to your preferences. When they first opened, there was often times a long line. I haven't been recently but I would imagine it can't be as horrible as it was before. Just check on Google before you make your way over.

Yelp
I am a recovering Boba addict. It has been a while since I had one and I got one today from here. The decor is a sleek and minimalist and it is easy to order using the kiosk. The Strawberry Matcha Latte hit the spot on a hot afternoon.
google avatar

Yelp
This Boba Guys location is in the Town & Country Village plaza. Parking is horrible in this small plaza, it was difficult to even try to navigate through the lot. Not much service, ordering is on the kiosk off to the side. Not sure why my friends and I thought it would had been a good idea to come here. Anyway, I ordered their jasmine milk tea with boba and my friends ordered their Matcha Latte with mochi to share. My milk tea was so creamy and sugary tasting that I felt kind of sick after just 5 sips - had to toss it because was feeling a bit pukey. My friends thought their matcha was just decent.

Yelp
I stop by this location fairly frequently and they're always busy since it's in high traffic area near a few schools. They have one self serve kiosk but if the line gets long, they'll take your order at the register. Service is always pleasant here and super fast (I think I got my drink in 30 seconds this time!). It's always fun seeing the new snacks and merch they have on the shelves when you're waiting to place your order. The shop itself is small but usually pretty clean in spite of how busy they are.

Yelp
TLDR: Nice place for a pleasant and refreshing Boba tea! Quick and pleasant service, nice ambiance. We stopped by Boba guys for a cold refreshing tea on a hot afternoon. They can customize the drinks and I loved the ube matcha combination! The other favorites are the strawberry matcha and the mango matcha. The banna is good too

Yelp
Solid choice for boba in the Bay! I got the Thai Tea, and it tasted overall good. The tapioca pearls were the stars here - soft, sweet, and just the right amount of chewy. I also felt they portioned the drink well for the number of tapioca pearls included. The tea itself tasted standard to me - nothing too special, but complemented the tapioca pearls well. Service was fast and friendly and the store felt modern and clean. In the Bay Area there are a ton of boba options, but I will be back to Boba Guys next time I am there.

Yelp
Where's the matcha in the matcha latte? Kinda disappointed with the ratio of matcha and milk, this was straight up milk.

Makana A.

Yelp
My favorite boba place :) Parking can be really bad on weekends. One time, they forgot to add boba to my drink, so I had to drive back. The worker didn't say anything and just took my drink, which wasn't great. The service can be poor when they're busy. This time, I went on a weekday evening, and it wasn't busy at all--the workers were nice, service was quick, and the drink was great. I just hope they become more consistent with their service.

Yelp
Visited this location a few times alone and with fam. The location is tucked in the plaza; it's a "win"'just to locate it!!! Parking is horrendous, but such exhilaration when she finally find parking lol. Parking isn't their fault but it definitely means that the Boba has to come correct... And the Boba is decent but not amazing. I always enjoy mine- my fam, they always try something new and enjoy some flavors and others the sweet-meter seems to be off for them. Eiher way, friendly at the counter. The kiosk ordering is a turnoff for me. Specifically, if I just wanna try something new that means I'm standing there too long holding people up or the line is ridiculously long because people ahead of me really have no clue what they want to order either. Even though there are several kiosks for that particular business. It's not the same as a burger joint you know your burgers. For a Boba spot either ordered it online or just walk up to a counter. The kiosk just doesn't seem right for that type of Service. Maybe it's just me because the college kids and the high school kiddos don't seem to be bothered by it. Give him a try and let me know what you think. I say this as I know for sure when I'm in the area I'm definitely gonna go back and get another one lol so it can't be that bad.

Yelp
My new order is strawberry matcha w boba and add extra matcha. I prefer the stronger matcha flavor to balance out the sweetness of the strawberry pure and the milk. Seems like you can only get it in an iced version. They have a rewards program on a browsing website and a place to do pickup orders, but I wish they eventually created an app for convenience. They should also create more rotating seasonal flavors to bring people in. The boba texture is always on point here and the flavors are on the stronger side (which I appreciative). Drinks here are always best enjoyed within the next couple of hours from getting it.

Yelp
Came in on a Friday afternoon and the place was not busy at all, which is a great thing. This location is great as it is right in the middle of Town and Country. Parking can be a bit of a pain on the weekend, but there are always people leaving and coming. This location is small but very clean and inviting. At this particular location you order from the kiosk. Their menu has all the same staples as their other locations with highlights on their seasonal offerings. We opted for their Thai Tea and Korean Banana Milk. Quick and easy. Paid via card and the wait for our order to be ready was within 2 minutes. Drinks were made to perfection. Not too sweet and blended just right. Will definitely be back to this spot as its in a perfect location and convenient when I need a boba fix

Yelp
Boba time is my favorite time! We really enjoyed this place. This always seems to be around fancy places. I likie. Well, the first time that I had this Boba, I took it for granted, it was in San Francisco at the Union Square. Of course I have had Boba after this but now having it again makes me really appreciate the hard work that goes into this. You can really taste the strawberry purée, and Matcha, it's perfectly sweetened and the Boba texture that I like... not too hard and not too soft. Definitely will be, having more Boba guys whenever I see one around.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by to try one of their seasonal drinks: the mango matcha. I went in the evening on a weekday and it was not busy. My drink had more of a mango syrup flavor than the matcha and the boba was still warm when I got my drink which was a good sign. The store does not have any seating and is a smaller shop. The service was fairly quick after I ordered off of the kiosk. I will definitely come back to try some of their other specialty drinks.

Yelp
Had to come here because I was violently craving boba... and Boba Guys happened to be really close to where I was working, so I figured, WHY NOT?! I went 25 minutes before they closed their doors for the day... and honestly they were not disappointing at all. I had opted to try some of their special drinks because I've already tried some of their regular drinks many times at their other locations... and I wanted something a little bit more sesame-y. Thankfully, the Black Sesame Milk Tea with boba was the good go-to. The boba was really chewy, and I really liked how much black sesame they steeped... I was thoroughly impressed by how much they put honestly. I had opted for less sweet and less ice, and it still came out a little watery -- which was what I wasn't hoping but oh well, it happens sometimes. The storefront is a little bit small, but overall very modern looking. I'd definitely come here later in the evening and not in the afternoon because it tends to get more busy and out of the door on afternoons because of all the Paly/Stanford traffic.... So I'd look out for that.

Yelp
After dinner at Teleferic Barcelona on Saturday, November 18, 2023, Mom, Uncle Danny and I decided to stroll around and check out the neighouring shops in the Town & Country Village. We stumbled upon Boba Guys. They were still open, so, of course, Mom wanted to check them out. Boba Guys' tiny shop is for ordering to go only, it appeared on the night of our visit. Maximum capacity must be around thirty persons, so there is no room for tables and chairs inside. I did not see anything for outdoor seating, either. The venue was brightly lit, clean and tidy. When we arrived around 8:15 PM, there was a line and small crowd loitering around the entrance, but we did not wait very long in queue. Patrons have a choice of ordering via a touch screen kiosk or at the counter. The germaphobe in me opted for the latter. Mom ordered an ICED Thai Tea and ICED Ube Latte, both with no ice nor toppings. I went with the ICED Jasmine Green Tea with Oat Milk, Tapioca Balls, Almond Jelly, and Chia Seeds. My drink was not good; there was zero sweetness, the floral Jasmine flavour was weak, I did not notice any Almond Jelly, and the Tapioca Balls were not chewy. Probably one of the worst boba beverages I have ever had. Service was also under par. The girl who took our orders neglected to ask me for my preferred Sweetness level, which is probably the reason why my drink lacked any sweet taste. When I asked for my receipt, she assured me that I would receive it with our drinks. What came with our beverages was a list of ordered items, not the actual receipt. I had to return to the counter to request for my receipt again. Either the counter girl doesn't really care about customer experience or she needs some training. The lids to the plastic cups were not tight enough to prevent leakage. I held the three drinks in the tray on my lap while sitting in a moving car and quite a bit of liquid immediately trickled down and dampened my pants. I was not happy about that. Not a great experience at all. I won't return. I highly recommend skipping this place.

Yelp
I love me some boba. Great that it's available at Town & Country Village via Boba Guys. The first time I visited this location though, I went on the earlier side (but they had already open for a bit) and they had no boba. Boba Guys had no boba... I appreciate their unique menu, but there are limited options for me in terms of what I personally enjoy. My go-to there is the horchata. Their boba texture has been consistently good. The drink flavor is pretty good. When you walk in, you order via a kiosk - no need to deal with people, which I am down for. I was supposed to get a text when my drink was ready, but after 15 minutes of enjoying my lunch at a nearby joint as I waited for my drink, I never got one and decided to check in on it. I found it right away on the side counter and it looked like it had been sitting there a while. It wasn't until about an hour later after I had finished my drink that I got the text that my drink was ready. HA. The drink and boba quality is solid and I dig their business. Would come again.

Yelp
(Overall: 82% | B) - I recently revisited Boba Guys after the hype died down and I think its a pretty competitive option now -- the order latency is reasonable and the drinks are more competitively priced than previously. I had their Lychee Tea Fresca this time, which tastes a bit artificial unlike their strawberry tea fresca, but is nevertheless an acceptable quality. The storefront is also a pleasant area to hangout immediately outside. IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
Tried the boba tea here a couple times. I've had their Strawberry Jasmine, Strawberry Fields and a couple other seasonal fruit teas. Yelp
My go to spot for boba DoorDashed to my workplace. Boba from here is always solid and satisfies my cravings for the day. -Lychee oolong tea with boba (5/5) - sooooo yummy and refreshing. A perfect level of sweetness to bring out the lychee without being icky sweet. The oolong was crisp and boba was made perfectly, chewy but not too soft. -Thai tea with boba (4/5) - solid Thai tea -Strawberry Matcha Latte, with oat milk with Boba (5/5) - one of my favorites to get from here, the matcha and the strawberry mix so well together. The matcha tastes really authentic and earthy, going well with the sweet strawberry and the oat milk ties it all together well. -Black milk tea with boba (4/5) - definitely a go to when I'm feeling black milk tea. I get 80% sweet with this one if I get boba.
google avatar

Stacey C.

Yelp
Drinks are fine and self-ordering is convenient. That said, they need to work on their boba. I have randomly been here several times for boba drinks. Each time the boba tastes tough and undercooked. For that reason, I will skip this place for some time. If you want better chewiness boba experience, go to the Los Altos location instead.
google avatar

Allen W.

Yelp
I normally really like Boba Guys, but I wanted to try something new this time and got their seasonal Sapin Sapin with almond jelly this time and ... I cannot with the almond jelly. It is so overly sweet in a way that I cannot handle, and leaves a bad aftertaste. The drink itself was alright, but the almond jelly tanked my rating. A friend of mine got the mango green tea with aloe and that was great! So, evens out to 3 stars.
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
My previous few experiences with Boba Guys in SF were average at best. Maybe I didn't order the right drinks years ago, but I was in the area recently and came to this Boba Guys location. Wow, I loved it! I ordered a Ube Latte (non-caffeinated) and a Matcha Yuzu Palmer (caffeinated). Though I couldn't change the sugar amount, both drinks tasted great without being overly sweet. The Ube Latte is a great option if you like flavored milk. It's even great for small kids because it contains no caffeine. The Matcha Yuzu Palmer is very refreshing and a great option for summer. The store itself is very clean. Great ambiance to come grab a drink with friends or after a meal in the same plaza. The staff was helpful in explaining the drinks and overall quite friendly. I would definitely want to come back again.

Yelp
I'm not a boba drinker but when I saw that they were offering Sapin Sapin I had to give it a try. I tried to place a pickup order, but I was not given an option to place an order for the same day. I arrived not even half an hour after opening and the place was very busy. There were plenty of people waiting but no line at the order kiosk (I didn't see any worker available to work the register for cash-paying customers btw), but the wait for my drink was still long. I don't know if it had to do with the post-it note that was on the order kiosk, which said that boba would not be available until 30 minutes after opening. However I did end up waiting 30 minutes for my order. I noticed a sign saying to wait outside after placing your order. I went out but it was so noisy I didn't think I'd be able to hear names being called out, so I went back inside as plenty of others were waiting in there. A worker came out soon after telling everyone to wait outside. (By the way people who came later waited inside and were not told to go outside.) Sure enough, when my name was called, I could not hear. I decided to just go inside and check when I saw a drink not being picked up by anyone. How other people knew their orders were out, I do not know. The parking lot gets super packed even near opening time on the weekend. I ended up parking near the CVS I believe it was. My drink was good but for the whole experience, I can only give this place 3 stars.

Yelp
Fast service. Can order at kiosk tablet or with cashier... or secretly order online for pick up in advance to avoid the line. Located in a busy square next to cvs pharmacy etc This spot has no tables.. don't except to sit and talk here.. more of a grab and go place You can make adjustments for milk, so you lactose intolerants can get oat milk instead! They have interesting toppings like almond jelly But their boba is always good Favorites among family and friends below - Strawberry matcha latte. Can ask for less strawberry syrup to make it less sweet - lychee oolong. Tip you can ask them to add milk and it comes a milk tea - black sugar Hochija latte - it's a toasty brown sugar like flavor Think I tried regular milk tea once but I'd rather try the speciality drinks for the price Haven't tried the special pandan caramel matcha or many other flavors yet Apparently there's a secret menu that the cashier mentioned by accident but didn't say where else I can find more info.

Yelp
Boba Guys serve high-quality tea with fresh ingredients, eco values, and great vibes.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for their jasmine milk tea with boba, although miss their earl grey very dearly. Their quality doesn't disappoint, lucky for me I don't live nearby otherwise I'd come every week.

Yelp
Tried the Midori Cloud, one of their seasonal matcha tea drinks. It is described as, "Tea People organic matcha is cold brewed and topped with our light, creamy cloud." I thought it was a bland drink. The matcha tea flavor was not distinct and did not stand out. The boba was on the mushy side of acceptable. One thing I can say is that the drink is very pretty to look at. This is the second time I've tried Boba Guys; the last visit also didn't hit the spot. There are so many other boba shops that offer drinks I enjoy more. I will probably not come here again.

Yelp
Family favorite spots to go to when we are in Palo Alto. The scenery is great- inside a small outdoor beautiful shopping center. Drinks are great- such a great menu. I recommend you the berry hibiscus tea with boba and aloe, it will keep you cool this summer. The team is phenomenal and very professional. Marc and Eric were very kindnto my family and I on our first visit.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here several times and even though it's not my favorite boba place, the quality is consistent. This plaza can get pretty crowded but we got lucky and parked close to the entrance. We went around 11am and there was no line. You can order at the counter or at the kiosk. I usually get the strawberry tea fresca but this time I got the black sugar hojicha. They also have a menu for seasonal drinks. They use bamboo straws instead of paper or plastic. The hojicha had a nice roasted flavor while the black sugar adds the right amount of sweetness. My sister got the strawberry tea fresca with boba and really liked how refreshing it was. The boba was chewy and sweet. I would recommend both drinks!
google avatar

Melody K.

Yelp
After a relaxing massage and spa, my sister and I decided to eat nearby before heading back home, but almost all restaurants didn't open until half an hour later, 11am, so we decided to grab some Boba Guys before lunch. We got lucky and got a parking spot right in front of the shop. My go to is usually their Strawberry Matcha Latte, but this time I went with their Strawberry Tea Fresca with boba and I really enjoyed it! The blend of strawberries and jasmine green tea was refreshing for a hot day. My sister got a Dirty Horchata. I took a few sips I loved it. It had a unique flavor, not too sweet and not too strong, just right. I think I'll get it next time. As we drove off to Ramen Nagi, we happily sipped on our drinks. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their drinks, including their seasonal special drinks. You can either order at the counter with their staff or at a Kiosk located at the left entrance. There is a large menu on the wall to the right of the store, and smaller menus at the counter and one of the stands at the right entrance. The shop was clean and they have two shelves with merch and snack items on the right side of the wall.

Yelp
The place which I discovered I have to pay sales tax for a boba drink!! :O DRINK 5/5 Ordered the strawberry matcha latte, i really like it! I believe this is a Boba Guys signature drink. One of us ordered Rose Black Milk Tea and really enjoyed it. SERVICE 5/5 Service was prompt and friendly! AMBIANCE 3/5 No seatings. The place was very popular and patrons (lots of students in uniform) were all crowding outside the store waiting for their drinks. Should have a better way to notify people when their drinks were ready. Drinks definitely on the pricier side. I would go with their signature drinks if that was your thing.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Whenever I'm craving boba, Boba Guys guarantees that my craving is satisfied. This Palo Alto location is a small storefront, though I'd say most people stop by to buy some boba to walk around the little plaza it's located in. Strawberry Matcha Latte: This is probably my go-to drink here. The semi-bitterness of the matcha very nicely balances the sweetness of the strawberry purée and the creaminess of the milk! It's fun to drink both in layers and after mixed. If you want to adjust the sugar level, they just decrease the amount of strawberry purée. I would prefer if you could adjust the sugar level without removing the strawberry though. When I stop by another Boba Guys location in the future, I should probably try the other drinks, but I love the strawberry matcha too much.
google avatar

Joanne N.

Yelp
I always enjoy going to Boba guys whenever I'm in the area! It's always pretty crowded when I come and parking can get tough to find (depending on what time you go). They have a machine you can order on and then you wait for you name to be called. It usually takes like 5ish minutes to get my drink which isn't bad considering how many people are in line. My favorite drinks here are the Strawberry Matcha Latte and the Black Sugar Hojicha. The Strawberry Matcha Latte tastes good quality and its the perfect mix of matcha and strawberry. The Black Sugar Hojicha has a nice roasted nutty taste while also being the perfect amount of sweet. I highly recommend both! The Korean Banana Milk is also alright but I wouldn't get it again. It just had a subtle banana taste to it. The Dirty Horchata kinda just tastes like coffee. I wouldn't recommend it. Overall the drinks here are great and I love the quality. They are on the more expensive side for the amount you get which is probably the biggest downside.
google avatar

Janice A.

Yelp
This location is beautiful. My new fave drink strawberry tea Fresca this drink is REFRESHING... good quality strawberry and the tea is good with a hint of bitterness cause that's how real tea tastes w/ boba. The straws are bamboo so it doesn't flake off like paper straws when it's in liquid for more than 10 mins. Didn't have time to post pics of my drink cause it came and gone
google avatar

Joey W.

Yelp
Black sugar hojicha - love the roasted flavor from the hojicha and the sweetness from the black sugar. Sadly the boba was super chewy and hard - they might've undercooked the boba or it has been sitting for awhile. Strawberry matcha - one of my favorite drinks here! It's one of the few drinks that are made consistently from location to location.
google avatar

Kim Ann T.

Yelp
While Boba Guys is not my favorite boba spot in The Bay, I know I can still always count on them for consistent, high quality boba every time. They don't make their own boba, but source it from a US-based company, and the texture is always perfect. Teas have a great tea taste rather than being too milky, as well. My only gripe is that it's kind of spendy compared to other places, and other places have flavors that I enjoy much more.
google avatar

Becca H.

Yelp
Was having a bad day and Boba Guys made it better. Service was great and provided helpful options to pick from! I got the Ube Latte and thoroughly enjoyed it. Always love going to Boba Guys!!

Yelp
Boba Guys used to be my favorite boba place, but I feel like the past few times I've gone, it's been a disappointment. The milk tea tastes a little watered down to me. I don't even remember what I've specifically ordered the most recent times I've been there, but I just remember feeling like the flavor of the drinks I've been getting haven't been strong/solid. However, today, I went back and got the strawberry matcha latte, their "signature drink" and the drink I used to get when I first started going to Boba Guys. And it was delicious. It's light and refreshing, with a good amount of matcha flavor. You have to pay extra for an extra 65 cents for boba unfortunately. The boba is good but not amazing- consistency is excellent, definitely QQ, but they aren't sweet/very flavorful. And this place is PRICEY! My 24 oz iced strawberry matcha latte with boba rang up to be $7.65. Boba costs as much as a meal now, good god. I'm unfortunately quite addicted to boba though, so I'm still going to be shelling out the money.

Yelp
we came at 5:30 pm on a sunday and it was pretty empty. cashier was nice and helpful. service was pretty fast, took a few minutes to get our drink after it was ordered. there's also a self service kiosk if you don't want to order with a cashier. my girlfriend asked for the strawberry rice milk but apparently they are out of stock for rice milk for a while so she just got the strawberry fields drink. drink was solid, boba is chewy just like you'd expect from a boba guys drink. nothing super special but it was good. drink was $7.70 for a large which is kind of expensive but expected from boba guys. we would rate it about a 4/5.

Yelp
This location always cooks the boba quite well! Boba guys is quite expensive and the tea just doesn't taste that good compared to other options in Palo Alto. The seasonal passion fruit drink is ok nothing crazy, it's very sweet and sweetness cannot be adjusted. The mango matcha latte is similar to the strawberry matcha, would recommend trying it if you like the strawberry one. Drinks usually come out quite fast here but I would try somewhere else unless you are really craving boba guys.

Yelp
I really love Boba Guys & I hate writing bad reviews, but the service at this specific location sucks. One of the workers in particular was super rude & condescending towards customers. From looking at other recent reviews, this seems to be a common experience. While I was there, she literally YELLED at customers 3 times to wait for their drinks outside. I understand wanting to enforce these rules, but they easily could've put up some signs to let customers know or they could've asked customers to do this without yelling at them / raising their voices. Really wouldn't recommend going here until management does something about this :( And they also forgot the boba (an add-on we paid for) in one of our drinks lol.

Yelp
Visit: 5/2/2021 You know, I always tell myself never to get Boba Guys because 1) line is always so long, 2) most drinks I've gotten are disappointing, 3) How come they don't have sealed cups?! I still came here because someone gave me a gift card and I have to use it lol. 4 stars because the only drink I will ever get is the strawberry matcha. This location is always poppin' - you can order online and do pick up, or walk-in and place your order. During walk-in last time on a weekend afternoon, it took about 20 minutes from start to finish - which isn't bad at all! Overall, would I recommend Boba Guys? Eh. I do think there are better boba shops, but this is not a bad one if you are looking for something more fusion.

Yelp
We ordered the classic black milk tea and tie guan yin oolong milk tea at 50% sweetness, with boba, and no ice. Despite having no ice, both drinks were both extremely watered down and lacked any tea or dairy flavor. The boba pearls weren't particularly special either and had a tough texture. Overall, we weren't impressed with Boba Guys, and we didn't understand the hype.
