Very small store on Santana row. There is a self serve kiosk in the corner or you can order at the counter. Staff are friendly and efficient. There’s a merch wall. We ordered tieguanyin oolong milk tea with aloe jelly and hibiscus berry. Both were decent. Refreshing on a hot day. Too bad they do not have any slush drinks.

Google
Went to Boba guy to get my boba craving. It works ! I ordered their Hong Kong Milk Tea while it is on the sweet side than my liking I find it still tasty. Their boba is a little tougher maybe since I went on a weekday their boba might be there for a while. Overall a good visit and will be returning

Google
Tried the peach fresca from the summer seasonal menu. Asked the staff at the counter what would be a good topping and they recommended the aloe jelly. Great choice! Fabulous pairing. Beautiful shop with a really nice merch selection. Perfect drink to enjoy while strolling and wishes shopping along Santana Row.

I’ve been looking forward to trying Boba guys for a while. This location is really convenient on Santana Row. However, I visited on a busy Sunday and it was packed! There is a self order station on the left that you can place your order from, if no one else is using it. The service was amazing and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was lacking only because it is VERY SMALL, so feels cramped while you’re waiting for your drink, and because it was the end of a busy day was a little bit dirty. I try to have their seasonal specialty drinks. The sesame latte, which I added mochi to and Kopi Karamel Cloud. I think it’s important to know that their Boba is slightly smaller than traditional Boba. And it was flavored well but a little bit hard when I got mine. Their drinkable mochi is delish and if you like sesame I’d recommend the sesame latte (it’s caffeine free).

Google
I've been on a boba hunt and thought I'd found a top-tier place—until my second visit. I judge boba places by their classic milk tea, and I was a bit disappointed. I order 50% sweetness to let the tea flavor stand out, but it could have been stronger. On the plus side, they use high-quality Strauss whole milk! Overall, I wouldn't come back for their milk tea. However, I would return for their matcha series, which is top-tier! The seasonal mango matcha latte and the classic strawberry matcha latte were delicious, with really fresh, fruity flavors. Pro tip: the “sweetness level” determines the amount of fruit syrup. The first time I went, the boba pearls were PERFECT—large, perfectly cooked, and with a great brown sugar flavor. The second time, the pearls were old, hard, and seemed smaller (?) for some reason. Now, I’m hesitant to go a third time and risk disappointment again. - - - Update, I went a third time and it was everything I wanted! The boba was great like the first time I went. I would return for their matcha lattes!

Google
Pros: clean, happy atmosphere with one of the workers singing with the background music. Cons: only boba straws and no regular straws, the server told me the cup is sip cup and I didn’t need straw, but it was not comfortable and drink was stuck under the lid

Google
I was in the Santana Row area on a sunny Saturday morning, and a nice fruity and refreshing bubble tea seemed like the move. I’m glad I passed by this shop. They have a bunch of flavor options, a lot of them being quite unique, and the staff was pretty friendly too. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, and would gladly stop by for another if I’m in the area.

Google
Cute boba (bubble tea) shop conveniently located in the outdoor mall. There is a kiosk to order on an iPad if you want. The menu has a pretty good variety of drinks

Yelp
Date: Friday, August 29th, 2025 Time: around 8pm Party of: 2 Matcha Latte ($9.90) *24oz Iced *Boba *Almond Jelly *Grass Jelly *0% sweetness *Water - no milk After dinner, a girlfriend and I decided to get boba tea. Boba Guys was not too far, so we walked over and got some drinks. I adore almond jelly, so I love that BG offers this. I don't like milk with my matcha. (I know, weird.) Luckily they were able to modify and use water instead. I was very appreciative. The matcha was good and the toppings as well. The balls soft with a nice chew, the jellies silky and flavorful. There's isn't really any place to sit at the shop, so we sat outside at one of the tables in Santana Row. It was a little chilly, but I'm glad there's a place to hang since my gf and I wanted to catch up. A solid place to grab a tea. And I'm glad they can do a matcha without milk. REVIEW #3848

Yelp
*Drinks* Ordered the banana milk with a shot of hojicha and the black sugar hojicha latte. I really like their banana milk which is my go-to order. I needed some caffeine today so I decided to add a shot. The taste was ok, but because of the shot I couldn't taste much of the banana milk ; - ; but that's not a problem since I decided to add it lolol. The boba was on the tough side with not much flavor to it. Also the drinks do not come with boba, you have to pay extra to add it. *Service* You can order on the kiosk or at the front. Service was quick. *Ambiance* There are other drinks to try and the inside was clean and not busy on a Friday afternoon. One chair next to the window.

Yelp
There was once a time when I pledged my allegiance to Boba Guys; they haven't been a cool new pop-up in the Mission District for a while, & every new location I try makes me enjoy them a little less. I take full responsibility for messing up my own drink from their Santana Row location. I couldn't stop obsessing over their almond pudding, which I always add to my usual Jasmine Green Milk Tea, but I screwed up when I insisted they add it to their Mango Sticky Rice drink. Made with mango puree, rice milk, & black sticky rice, the creation itself didn't live up to its name. It was extremely sweet & the individual tastes did not meld well; the almond pudding just exacerbated these issues. If I'm in the area walking off dinner, sure, I might stop in for a milk tea, but I'll stick to something familiar & simple & not try to jazz up their seasonal specials myself.

Yelp
Just okay--there was a bit of a wait, which is to be expected because it's in the Santana Row area. The drinks are quite expensive, pretty watery and honestly not that great. Maybe it was an off-day or the employee was rushed, but I wouldn't come back. They could do with better staffing. The place is also small and there's no where to sit.

Yelp
And in tonight about 9 pm- 2 young men 1 young woman. 2 of them were doing nothing but chatting with one another- and ignoring us. When I asked the young man for help, he snarled at me and pretended he was doing something and told me to wait... my friend and I left. So disrespectful

Yelp
Stopped by Boba Guys at Santana Row and got the Strawberry Matcha Latte with tapioca boba -- and it was amazing! The drink was beautifully layered and tasted just as good as it looked. The strawberry added a nice sweetness that perfectly balanced the earthy matcha. The tapioca pearls were fresh, soft, and perfectly chewy. Staff was friendly and quick even though it was busy. The shop itself has a clean, trendy vibe, perfect for a quick stop while walking around Santana Row. Highly recommend the strawberry matcha if you want something refreshing and a little different!

Yelp
FOOD: this plc deserves all the hype! high quality strong tea flavors! they KNOW how to elevate classics (black + jasmine)!! the pearls are sometimes on the mushy side, i'd honestly go just for the drink itself **adjustable sugar, (oat + almond milk options), cardboard eco friendly straws!! I ALSO LOVE THE LYCHEE OOLONG TEA !! they sell ube, matcha cookies which were decent SERVICE: served within 5minutes. fast, diligent, patient register + baristas!! no seating inside but chairs/table outside. nice backdrop for pictures!!

Yelp
Boba guys is so mid. Most of the time that I go, I regret it. But occasionally they'll have something good (like the seasonal black sesame). Their regular teas are whatever. The It's just a gentrified boba spot with a nice aesthetic. My boyfriend never tried it before and we were thirsty when we came across this shop, so we decided to go. Jasmine tea w whole milk and boba 5/10: it's not bad, but it's not great either because there's not enough tea flavor imo. It's pretty light. Not as good as happy lemon. They get points because the boba's good. Didn't even finish it. Yuzu pineapple Fresca added boba (seasonal) 3/10: yuzu and pineapple purée in jasmine tea. I was like how could this be bad? Nope, they proved me wrong. Their combination of ingredients does not work well together. It's so booty that I was forcing myself to drink it just to not waste it. Thankfully my boyfriend thought it was okay, so we switched. I'm mad that I wasted my sweet treat on this. I forgot that they have Tong Sui inside Westfield, which I would've chosen a hundred times over. I think pink pink is better too.

Lucy L.

Yelp
Good boba drinks and various options. I always appreciate Boba Guys. On this visit, it occurred to me that I wasn't offered an option for my drink to be less sweet so I had to wait for my ice to melt to make it more suitable for my taste. I should try to remember on my own next time but I got used to other places offering levels of sweetness up front and just felt a bit rushed here.

Yelp
We stopped in here as it was hot out and Hubby wanted a boba drink. I'm not a huge fan of boba because sometimes the boba itself isn't tasty. Such was the case at this shop, located right in Santana Row. Hubby got a milk tea boba, no complaints as he liked his. I got the Thai tea boba. The Thai tea did not have enough of the flavor I'd get from authentic Thai restaurants. Sadly, the boba balls tasted too firm, lumpy at times, and too chewy. I'd rather eat softer bobas.
google avatar

Rita W.

Yelp
tastes like any other boba guys LOL their drinks are kinda on the sweet side, even at 50% sugar however I've never had a bad drink from them lol - I can def always taste the tea pearls are also always on point service depends on who you get I think - I once forgot to go pick up for 15min & they voluntarily remade my drink when they saw me grab my cup bc they wanted me to be happy w it :D but another time I forgot for nearly half an hour (yay ADHD lol) and the drink was just sitting on the counter w no acknowledgement from the dude that was working order at either the kiosk or in person at the counter there's also merch for sale

Yelp
I remember trying Boba Guys for the first time in the city and loving it. This was a long time ago back when boba was still niche. This location in Santana Row was great. Order at the kiosk and drinks comes out very fast.
google avatar

Christina T.

Yelp
I was strolling around Santana Row and I decided to pop in and try a drink from Boba Guys. The mango sticky rice drink was far from tasting like mango sticky rice. It's bitter and tastes too much like grapefruit. The mango purée taste completely disappears after mixing the drink. The milk itself is on the sweeter side and overpowers the mango. The small store is cute and aesthetic for pictures. I also like how pretty my drink looked but I was disappointed and very unsatisfied after trying it. Drink came out fast and cashier was nice so I appreciate the service. I'm sure the other drinks are better so maybe I'll come back to try something else next time. This review is specifically for this drink only and I would not recommend getting it.

Yelp
My son and I stopped in here while perusing the shops in the area. The staff was very friendly and greeted us when we entered. I got a Strawberry Matcha Latte which was DELICIOUS!!!
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
We went at the end of the night before closing and I feel like they kinda slacked off on making our drinks. My friebd got the classic strawberry matcha and it barely had strawberry or matcha and it was mostly milk :/ Apple Fresca was pretty good! I got it with mochi and they gave a big blob of mochi instead of smaller jellies (which is what I was expecting lol). This combo was pretty good. The Apple Fresca was very floral from the jasmine and I could taste and feel the Apple puree. It wasn't overly sweet which is a good thing. I would recommend when you're craving some refreshing drinks.
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
I came here and wanted to get an interesting flavor... So I got the mango sticky rice with Boba and it was so interesting but yummy! Definitely a drink with extra carbs, which requires a little bit more chewing as well. But it was really nice to kind of save her the interesting and unique flavor! Service was really fast and the people were very attentive. Also was such a plus to be able to walk around Santana row afterwards! Wonderful ambience and a really cute place ! Would definitely be back again

Yelp
I love Boba Guys! Even though this location is super popular/busy, they are always really quick and efficient while making our drinks. The shop itself is always kept clean and tidy. Our go-to drinks are pictured below. My favorite is the strawberry jasmine with boba and whole milk, but the strawberry matcha is just as good! My friend tried the mango sticky rice drink, and she really loved it. I'm always getting a boba, so I signed up for their rewards program...I definitely recommend doing that!
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
I haven't had Boba Guys in forever and I was pleasantly surprised with their menu. They have a variety of unique drinks! I tried the mango sticky rice drink with light sweetness and it was really good and refreshing! Their Santana Row location doesn't have seating and is meant more for grab n go. I am definitely going to come back to try their other drinks!
google avatar

Danae L.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for their jasmine milk tea with boba, but today I was craving something sparkling/refreshing. I opted for the strawberry jasmine with less sugar. It hit the spot!
google avatar

Sheila J.

Yelp
Great location on Santana row. The line moves pretty fast. The staff here are very nice. Minus one star because they don't put much strawberry in the matcha strawberry compared to other boba places.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
I tried a new drink from my normal strawberry matcha which they are famous for. I got the hojicha w boba and thought it was quite different and unique. Hojicha has less caffeine and a nutty flavor complex different to matcha. It's worth a try when you want something different, but nothing will beat the strawberry matcha. Boba texture is always so good here! Never too hard or too soft and chewy. My only complaint is when you online order you can't customize to no ice, but it can be done in person when ordering. Petition for more South Bay Area locations to open !
google avatar

Ju L.

Yelp
A great option for boba or dessert at Santana Row! We went on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy but the order was super quick. There's a kiosk and a cashier who helps with orders. L I ordered the ube latte and it was sweet and tasty. I have a sweet tooth so it was perfect but my friends didn't like how sweet it was even though they asked for less sweet. So I would ask for a lot less if you don't like your drinks too sweet. There is not seating inside but as it is at a mall, you can sit outside or walk around.
google avatar

Gene D.

Yelp
I have passed by this place several times for a while and finally gave it a try? It's one of the smallest places I've been there with sort of an aesthetic interior. So I just got one of the originals with added boba (and reduced sugar). The drink.... Is okay? When you go to many places that feature boba drinks, you can sort of tell what's good and what's just generic. I didn't really find it special, it's like a usual drink you could get anywhere? I'm wondering if Boba guys does not specialize in Boba itself but other drink types. Who knows, all I can say is for people to taste different unique drinks instead?
google avatar

Khiet E.

Yelp
This place was busy. People were all over the place and the space is small. I ordered Hong Kong milk tea. There was something off and different about this tea that I just didn't like. Took a few slips and tossed the rest.
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
The ube latte at Boba guys is a bit too sweet and milky. The boba was good though, however. Service is pretty quick, you just order at a kiosk. Inside there's not really much seating.
google avatar

Vania B.

Yelp
Got the seasonal mango sticky rice drink and overall it was good! The mango puree was fresh and having it with milk did remind me of the mango sticky rice dessert! This drinks comes with purple sticky rice as a topping, which adds an interesting texture to the drink; my only complaint is there was too much sticky rice that it became annoying to drink and enjoy the beverage itself. Quick, friendly service here. No seating inside, but Santana Row has seating throughout.
google avatar

Sunnie M.

Yelp
Boba Guys isn't my favorite boba spot, but it's a solid choice when looking for something convenient with fun flavors such as the iced strawberry matcha
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Located in Santana Row, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The interior is small with no seating except for waiting. The noise level is quiet, and service is quick. Strawberry jasmine (3/5): definitely on the sweet side. I couldn't taste the tea either but the boba was soft and chewy. It would be good to be able to adjust the sweetness though. Tap to pay is accepted and ordering is done on a tablet. Overall, Boba Guys isn't bad. Their fruit teas have a fixed sweetness in which I thought was too sweet, but the pearls were good.
google avatar

Vince G.

Yelp
Came here on Friday afternoon and the place was quiet. The interior is very nice and the staff were friendly. We ordered the berry hibiscus and the ube latte. We enjoyed our drinks and they were perfect for the nice weather outside.
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
I can't go to San Jose without getting some boba and lucky for me, Boba Guys is in Santana Row! I ordered the assam black milk tea with extra boba and I am so glad I opted for extra boba. The drink was delicious but I've never had better tapioca pearls anywhere else. The texture is perfectly chewy and I love that they weren't overly sweet either. I ordered at their kiosk, which was super simple and quick and my drink came out just a few minutes later. I appreciated the fast service and refreshing drink after walking the entirety of Santana Row a couple of times. Keep in mind that this location is a bit small so when it's busy, it can get stuffy but it seems like the bobaristas make the drinks quickly so it shouldn't be too long a wait!
google avatar

Deborah L.

Yelp
Consistency is hit or miss depending on who's making it, but their seasonal drinks never disappoint. Really hoping they bring back their Matcha Yuzu Palmer someday! My go-to's are their matcha latte with oat milk or the strawberry jasmine tea. I've noticed service has gotten faster lately, with both a kiosk and in-person ordering options.
google avatar

Keerthi D.

Yelp
Boba guys is an aesthetic boba shop with unique tea flavors. This location is the only boba store in Santana Row but there are parking lots for your car and it's a very short walk. There's not much room to sit inside the store but there's plenty of seating on Santana row itself. The barista was super nice - he forgot our boba but fixed it right away when we made him aware. The actual teas themselves didn't taste too great but it was nice to try new flavors.
google avatar

Kayla Ann R.

Yelp
Staff helpful in choosing a non caffeine drink. Not busy during the week days! No seating available
google avatar

Carlos B.

Yelp
Had the chance to visit this location this evening, and I have to say the staff was super friendly and even got to meet the store managers and district's. the store felt welcoming and clean. I got a black tea with milk boba with aloe Vera! Highly recommend! I also tried their jerky chips! And bought a boba guy's Shirt.
google avatar

Meg L.

Yelp
In my opinion, the boba here is nothing too crazy. It's okay if you want a drink while strolling around Santana Row but I haven't gone back since I tried it. We got drinks a little later in the day and because the store front is a tad small, the wait for the drinks was pretty long when we went. From what I remember, the staff were helpful and kind. Nothing to go out of your way for but if you're in the area and already parked, it might be a spot to consider if you want a drink!
google avatar

Bronwhyn H.

Yelp
Boba Guys is my favorite boba spot! Every time I visit the Bay Area, I make sure I make at stop at Boba guys. I've been to both the San Francisco location and the Santa Row location. Both locations are consist with the service and flavor of the boba. My favorite drink to get is the Horchata drink with boba. The flavors are delicious and sweet! The perks of the Santana Row location is you can walk around the beautiful mall while enjoying the delicious drinks.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Strawberry Jasmine (no caffeine) with boba is the perfect seasonal drink. Refreshing and light, regular sweetness hits just right. What has impressed me since pandemic was how well they pack and ship their DoorDash/UberEats orders. Their ambiance can be experienced through every quality sip, pack, and ship. QUALITY
google avatar

Ranice L.

Yelp
So boba guys used to be one of my favorite boba spots years ago but over the years the quality has definitely declined. Some locations are also worse than others. It's been maybe a year since my last boba guys but since I was in the area today, I decided to get their matcha caramel seasonal drink. The matcha was brownish green (not the vibrant or dark green you should see) and when I mixed it there was barely any green matcha color! It literally tasted like milk with a splash of caramel. I'm not sure what happened to boba guys but they should really revisit their recipes.
google avatar

Hieu L.

Yelp
Boba guys and lanegie is doing a special collaboration which I thought was interesting. I've never seen a Boba shop and beauty and skin care brand collab, but that's what initially drew me in. They had a launch where they were giving away things for the first couple of customers, but I just came in to try to drink after the fact. This one had Ube a Matcha cloud on top and coconut shreds. I would say it's heavy on the coconut flavor, so if you don't like coconut, I wouldn't recommend. I do wish it had a little bit stronger of a deeper matcha flavor since I think it was a little bit overpowered. My one gripe with them is that when I do the online order there's no option for no ice or light ice and by the time I get there to pick it up the ice is already in the drink. I do hope eventually they give us an option for customization of no ice for the online app order to pick up later. I wish there was more South Bay locations of bobaguys that wasn't down in Santana row purely because of the parking and crowds.
google avatar

Jen T.

Yelp
I had the Banana Milk w/ a Matcha Shot & almond jelly--it was decent. Boba guys is pretty expensive compared to other spots in VF. Not too sweet and had a fresh banana flavor. Honestly disliked the almond jelly, it was really overwhelming in flavor and overpowered the drink at times. Great stop in Santana Row if you're feeling thirsty or want a sweet treat + it's open late!
google avatar

Eddy G.

Yelp
I was in the Santana Row area on a sunny Saturday morning, and a nice fruity and refreshing bubble tea seemed like the move. I'm glad I passed by this shop. They have a bunch of flavor options, a lot of them being quite unique, and the staff was pretty friendly too. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, and would gladly stop by for another if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Henry Y.

Yelp
The strawberry matcha latte is their signature drink and it's good. I never get anything else. And if I researched correctly, one of the very few caffeine free drinks my kid can have is the strawberry milk, which she likes as long as we also add boba. It's essentially take out (tiny standup counter) with a line out the door so the ambience is nada. Their boba quality is good though, but the overall experience is a little uninspired at this location. It's 3.5 stars overall.

Clement L.

Yelp
I ordered the brown sugar hojicha iced. It was fairly expensive for a small size, and you have to pay extra for boba. On top of that, the boba served in the drink was kind of tough. The hojicha was good tho. Not the best drink experience overall, will be returning only for the banana milk, nothing else.
google avatar

Aiza B.

Yelp
Consistently good oat matcha latte drinks. Cravings satisfied! It gets busy during the weekends but weekdays are alright.
google avatar

Harshita Y.

Yelp
A nice little shop if you want some drinks in the middle of Santana row. The matcha didn't feel as high of a grade and the felt very watered down.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
Consistent flavor and friendly service! I love that they have a few decaf options as well. The line is sometimes long during the summer, but it's never a long wait and the drinks come out quick!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally a referral program for Boba Guys where you can earn points for free food and drinks. Came in and got my usual Horchata and my friend and I signed up. You can scan the QR code at their register or if you invite a friend get 50 points which brings you closer to a free drink! Here's my referral link if you want to start earning! Sign up for the Boba Guys Passport and we'll both get 50 points! https://passport.bobaguys.com/?campaign-slug=boba-guys-referrals&referral-code=rc24jb

Yelp
The skinny: Great location Lacking value The lengthy: I was running an errand in Santana Row and had to wait around for an extra hour. I figured i would get some tea and read. Boba Guys is the only milk tea spot and I have had good experiences before, so i decided to grab something simple and find a bench. I enjoyed the general feel of Santana Row as I strolled to the Boba Guys shop. The girls working inside said nothing to me as i entered. Instead, seeing that a line was forming, they setup a kiosk. I expected some kind of friendly customer interaction, but was disappointed. 16oz jasmine green tea with dairy milk, light ice, with aloe jelly: The jelly was nice, but the milk tea was unsatisfactory- bitter and not creamy enough for my liking. The $6 i spent would have been better spent on tea bags and heavy whipping cream. I will not be back to this location, but mostly because i neither live close nor have regular business nearby. Suggestion: train your workers to greet everyone- this is a general courtesy that is severely lacking in our society. A smile and a "hello, welcome in!" go a long way toward overlooking over-brewed tea...

Yelp
Boba guys have been taking over the bay area after just a few stores in SF. So happy they are so successful and in just about every big city in the bay area. This location is in Santa Row towards the end of the strip closer to the movie side. They have a seasonal menu items along with their standard items. I have been obsessed with their strawberry matcha drink for years and then I started trying all the other drinks on their menu along with the seasonal items. I have a few of my go to drinks here now instead of 1. This location does not ever tend to have a line or a long wait which make me happy. I'm sure many of you would also agree about that as well. The store is cute inside and they have merch and some other items for purchase as well. DEF a fan and happy to see them grow all over the bay area. Come and check em out for yourself to see what I mean! keep it up boba guys!
