Google
Best boba tea in Portland and frozen yogurt too. Yogurt is tart with probiotics and lots of interesting flavors to choose from. Passion fruit is one of my favorites. I usually can’t pass up a fruit tea. They don’t use any prepackaged syrup or powdered tea in this shop. Everything is real fruit and brewed tea. Simply the best.

Google
They are really yummy. I wish they had popping Boba but that's just a personal preference. I got the strawberry matcha (red, white, and green). My hubby got the Thai tea and both were so good!!

Google
This is such a cute and cozy shop and the owner and staff are incredibly kind!!! The drink was AMAZING and it was so cool to learn that all the purees and everything were made from fresh berries!! I got the Strawberry Cacao and it's probably my favorite boba I've gotten anywhere! Definitely my new favorite shop 👏👏

Google
Best boba in Portland! Their teas are cold brewed with the freshest ingredients possible. They have a unique taste that differs then the run of the mill chain milk tea spots you see elsewhere that is loaded with sugar. DO get the seasonal Ube flavor (the only time I’ve actually tasted good boba in a milk tea) and the tapioca pearls which have the perfect consistency.

Google
Update 2022: New menu! 2020: So stinking good. I'm glad they survived the pandemic bc they are my fave place to get boba in PDX! Last I went, there was a secret menu....

Google
Nice staff, excellent drinks. Boba is not flavored. Not very many drinks available at this time. Purée for drinks is made fresh have different options for milk if you cannot tolerate cows milk. No indoor or outdoor dining. They take orders online and at the window. Fresh frozen yogurt made by them. No cash transactions due to Covid tap pay available and card transactions.

Google
When it comes to Boba - this girl is picky! You won't find me at a local shop that doesn't brew their own tea or make their own flavors. Boba Milk does it all. Not only do they have incredibly traditional tea flavors, but they also create seasonal ones in house that are nothing short of delicious. My personal favorite drink is a matcha tea + strawberry, no added sugar with boba! I always bring my own straw! Did I mention they have frozen yogurt? Even if you come for a tea - try a few flavors of the yogurt and prepare to be impressed. Everything from Matcha to Pandan Durian or Mango Thai Chili... they're all good. Ben and Ina truly know what they're doing with 2 successful restaurants in the Portland area. It's no surprise Boba Milk is a hit!!

Google
Best bubble tea below Tea Bar. Much more affordable, and with decent bobba. The frozen yogurt was great! I am glad to finally see the place with open doors!

Yelp
An excellent spot for bubble tea lovers. They have several specialty drinks and now feature small bites and desserts on their menu. Wonderful customer service and perfect for a day out on the town!with the weather warming up, this would be a great place to stop by for a refreshing

Yelp
Boba Milk had been on my radar for a literal year but I finally waddled over on a day off~ I have been know to love strawberry matcha lattes and of course, needed to go try the one at Boba Milk! There wasn't much of a crowd when we walked in so yay no line! I got the strawberry matcha latte with boba; 50% sweet. My husband had the raspberry black tea with mango boba (sadly they were out of the passion fruit boba). I am usually a sweet tooth connoisseur but gosh I was so happy I got this 50% sweet because even then it was quite sweet imo. Perfect amt of sweetness for me but be warned if you're someone who isn't big on sugar. I was obsessed with my drink as expected and my husband really enjoyed his as well~ The boba texture was great and they were definitely cooked well. Prices are quite steep but meh trying to be understanding in this economy. Overall, cute interior, friendly service, and good milk tea/fruit tea drinks!

Yelp
This place used to be called Boba Milk, but when I got there, all the signs said "Soul-cie Tea." The cashier told me they changed owners and names but the drinks are the same. Logo is pretty cute, drinks were average though. Mango matcha latte + oat milk + grass jelly: 3/5. Matcha was not very strong, not enough mango, and tasted more like soy milk than oat milk. Overall too milky. Viet coffee milk tea+ grass jelly: 2/5. Tasted like water...not much coffee taste at all.

Shanna C.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this place for almost a month now, and finally got to go. This place closes at 7pm, so definitely be aware! I got the strawberry matcha with light ice and less sweet (the normal version is 50% sweetness). It comes with whole milk. There are options to switch to almond or oat milk at an additional cost. This drink was really refreshing! The strawberries were sweet with a perfect amount of tartness. It complemented the matcha flavor really well. I definitely love that the drink comes unmixed, so it's fun to shake it up and mix it yourself. I did not get boba in my drink, so I cannot speak to the texture of the boba. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other drinks and food!

Heather R.

Yelp
Boba Milk is a great tea shop! There's a good variety of drinks and it has a cozy set up. I've visited the shop twice and I have gotten the mango matcha milk tea during both visits! It's a great drink with the mango being a jam like consistency and the 25% sweetness was just right for me. It's street parking for this spot. The drink prices are a little high but you are paying for quality and for the large size. There's a few food items on the menu as well. I'm going to need to try the khao man gai sometime. The service is great too. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe.

M. G.

Yelp
The kind staff at Soul-cie Tea are wizards skilled in the magic of puréed fruit. If your preferred bubble tea is of the fruit variety, check out this spot! My favorites are the raspberry black tea, raspberry cacao, and strawberry matcha. Sometimes passion fruit or strawberry green tea hits the spot too.

Linh T.

Yelp
This is my second time purchasing bubble tea at this establishment. The first time I purchased drinks was when they first opened. Which was many years ago. I'm not sure why I don't come here as often. The drinks are amazingly delicious. It has strong flavors and they do not use any powders or artificial flavorings!

William Y.

Yelp
Their frozen yogurt is delicious. I got passion fruit with a raspberry like compote on top. I love how The yogurt had actual seeds it in making it feel more authentic. It's typical Portland prices though unfortunately, so I think around 5$ for a small cup which kinda sucks and will limit how often I go. But if you want frozen yogurt I would give this place a try! My wife got classic milk boba tea and she thought it was really good too, but I personally did not try that.

Cate K.

Yelp
When I came here the workers were so sweet and kind, I got the classic bubble tea with boba and it was delicious! I recommend this place.

Blu M.

Yelp
This is a great boba place that I found randomly after I had some sushi nearby. The lady at the counter was very nice and it did not take too long to get my order. I got their matcha strawberry milk tea with boba. It was exceptional. I was able to customize the amount of sweetness I wanted it to have and the ice as well. I don't like my drink too sweet and too cold, so it was great they offered those options to customize it. The boba was chewy but not mushy, it had a great texture and I enjoyed it! This is definitely my new favorite drink, and I'm always on the hunt for a great boba beverage!

Brandon L.

Yelp
So glad to find a walkable boba spot near me. Oolong With Salted Cream and boba was great

Opal D.

Yelp
My friends and I have been here a couple times to get their strawberry matcha drink. The drink size is very generous but a little pricey, not to mention boba costs extra. Flavor-wise, the strawberry is definitely very overpowering and the matcha taste is barely in there. You can adjust your sweetness level, but I've found that ordering it at 0% is already sweet enough for me as the sweetness from the strawberry puree is quite abundant. The boba texture is also good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Their menu is pretty unique so I may have to come back to try their other flavors and ice cream!

Courtney J.

Yelp
This place is fine. I drink a lot of boba milk tea and to most places I've been it just doesn't compare. Regular black milk tea - not good. Tasted like they didn't steep the tea long enough. Cacao milk tea - might as well call this chocolate milk. Again, very little tea flavor The boba was good consistency but I prefer honey boba. Place is small and service is slow, though the staff was really nice. Prob wouldn't be back given I know where the good spots are!

Avery E.

Yelp
Amazing! Delicious! Mouthwatering strawberry matcha. The boba is the perfect texture and the employees are kind. The vibes are laid back and very chill. Will return

Andy T.

Yelp
Really cool spot with interesting froyo flavors! I like how the milk is on the bottom and the flavoring things are on the top. You can take some nice pictures, and just shake it up to drink when you're ready! You can sample the froyo flavors here, and I thought the golden milk was interesting as it has ginger and a bunch of different spices in it. The froyo was too tart for me, but the milk tea version was sweeter and pretty good. I ordered the Vietnamese Coffee milk tea at 75% sweetness + boba because I was feeling a bit tired, so it woke me up. It was pretty good. They gave a lot of boba too. I wasn't a huge fan as it was smaller and not as soft as I like them usually, but it wasn't bad. My gf thought it was really good though, so she ended up getting some froyo with boba toppings. She ordered pandan durian + golden milk ice cream + boba. I thought the pandan durian was interesting and definitely does pack that pungent punch you would expect from durian. The only thing pandan about it was the green color. Not for everyone for sure, but if you like durian, this might be your thing! Overall, really good and interesting boba place that also has froyo. Definitely try out their interesting flavors.

Thuy N.

Yelp
Try as much flavors as you want. The passion fruit was great--- I got to try the flavor and there wasn't enough to purchase a scoop The Pandan durian was great though. Probably one of those flavors that is not for everyone lol The seating area was nice. The art wall... I couldn't stop admiring it. Chill ambiance. Definitely not really for big groups. Small group kind of place. But for summer ya can order to go. Parking is limited and that goes to say for SE division. We definitely got lucky today!

Yelp
Love this unique boba spot, walking distance from other great food places. For covid safety, they offer online ordering and delivery, or pick up at their plexiglass window. They have great flavor options for Milk Teas and frozen yogurt, which is also so good. Boba Milk does a great job of checking for preferred sweetness level and answering any questions about flavor profiles. This will be a go to for a cold treat on hot days! - Matcha Milk Tea + boba: boba was sweet, soft and chewy. Mild matcha flavor and 50% sweetness was just right. - Chrysanthemum + grass jelly: tea was still quite sweet at 50% sweetness, while grass jellies were soft, almost to the point of being mushy without being gross. - Golden Milk froyo: tart Vietnamese frozen yogurt, with mild sweetness and spices of golden milk flavor.

Rachel D.

Yelp
They're motto is spot on, it's definitely ice cream but their frozen yogurt is tasty. It's also not often that you find a place that sells Asian inspired fro-yo flavors but they sell them here! And they let you sample some so you know what you're getting into. I tried the chocolate raspberry, Thai tea, peach, and ginger sesame. All of the flavors were very nice. You could definitely taste that classic tart yogurtness which might not be for everyone but it was actually quite refreshing. I like that they have seasonal and new flavors, which they call "experiments." Plus you can add boba to the fro-yo which is a fun addition. Though the bubbles do freeze and then are substantially less tasty... I also got a taste of their classic milk tea. First, the bubbles were nicely cooked - which is a must. Second, it definitely tasted like real brewed tea but it wasn't as creamy as some other bubble tea shops. I'm not sure if this was because of the type of creamer/milk they use (I didn't ask what kind) or because of the ratio of milk to tea they use. Ultimately, quality bubble tea but not my favorite but I would come back to try their other flavors and I'll definitely be back for the fro-yo!

Yelp
My most anticipated dessert shop to open in 2019!! It definitely did not disappoint. I was mostly intrigued by their 'exotic' flavored frozen yogurt. Hint: DURIAN! I was most excited to try their pandan durian flavor, and I loved it! It had a good strength of durian. Their frozen yogurt is tart based, so some flavors taste a bit more on the tarty side. I am not a huge fan of tart, so I sadly did not love the matcha(more tarty), but I liked the pandan durian, sweet potato, ginger, mango chilli, and many more!(Mostly all flavors haha) The fun thing about froyo is that you can sample before you choose! Have fun! I got a split scoop, but next time, I will get a full pint of, you guessed it, the durian. You either hate or love durian. I also tried the black tea milktea @ 75% sugar. The flavor is quite good! My only regret was being so excited about the froyo flavors, I forgot to add boba pearls on top of the froyo, so I will go back soon! I've been dreaming of a dessert place in Portland that will put boba pearls on desserts :D The lady who helped us was excellent and friendly! A+ service. The owners of Bobamilk also own Fishsauce and Shortround(Viet streetfood, a restaurant nearby), which is on my bucketlist to try!!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Since I was in the area, I finally got to stop by and try Boba Milk in SE Portland! I got their Thai Milk Tea with boba and I absolutely loved it! The Thai tea tasted freshly brewed and I loved the milk and sugar ratio as well. The boba was nice and chewy, but I wish I came a little earlier since I love fresh boba! I'll definitely come back to try more of their teas and flavors, and hopefully get their boba jug one day!!!

Tiva F.

Yelp
Great location! I've been looking for a milk tea shop closer to my work for those long afternoons! It wasn't busy when I stopped by. The two ladies there were very friendly and had answers to all our questions. The menu is exciting because they're not the typical flavors you can get anywhere. I felt adventurous and got a single split scoop in a cone; passion fruit & pandan durian. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. I really enjoyed it and loved that it didn't feel heavy... a dessert snack? I also tried an iced golden milk at 50% sweetness. I got it based on the frozen yogurt flavor I sampled but the more I drank it, the more it wasn't for me. It's too "candle"y for me, like floral I guess. The ingredients include ginger, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, & nutmeg. It's a beautiful drink but I wouldn't order it again. Yes, I'm coming back to try more. I could see myself here on a weekly basis :)

Lindsey S.

Yelp
I love the froyo here! Of all the times I've come here, it's always for another cup of froyo, so I can't review the drinks here quite yet. First off, stepping into the shop, it's a cute place. I came here once when it used to be Musubi, and I loved their art on the wall. Boba Milk stuck with the same idea of having something there, and have a huge drawing sprawled across a whole side of the interior. Even though the place is small, I actually like the simplicity and coziness of it. The people here are awesome, and really encourage you to sample the flavors of froyo they have to offer. I've tried all of the flavors here EXCEPT for the pandan durian. I've tried durian before, and just can't do it. My favorites include the passionfruit, ginger w/ black sesame, Thai tea, and mango Thai chili. Everything is handmade in store, and they're not scared to experiment - which is why it's such a new and refreshing place for Portland. I don't know why I've never thought of putting boba on froyo - it works and it's great.

Christina C.

Yelp
I needed a boba fix and frozen yogurt sounded so good too. I found both of my needs and wants at Boba Milk. I love their frozen yogurts, it's hardscoop froyo (Vietnamese yogurt style) with variety of flavors! I especially love the pandan durian and the matcha flavor. It's also a one stop shop with boba too! You can get boba tea and froyo! I've tried the Thai Tea, Strawberry Matcha, Ube, and Jasmine Milk Tea (this is my go-to at all boba tea shops and they nailed it here - my fav!). All of them taste fantastic! This time, I asked for a Raspberry Matcha Milk tea with boba to try something new with matcha milk tea and the owner was able to accommodate. It was delicious! Thank you so much for taking my order. I love Boba Milk!

Tina B.

Yelp
Was super excited to try out Boba Milk after seeing some of their posts on Instagram. The drink itself looks pretty (Mango Matcha Milk Tea with boba) but it tasted more like a Vietnamese Avocado Smoothie (sinh tố b for those who know) and that was not pleasant for something that should taste like matcha and mango. The boba was undercooked and hard in the middle. Not to mention this drink was $6.50 an an additional $0.50 for the boba. Before finding out the price of this drink, we asked how much an ice cream scoop would be (to make it a float) and the cashier let us know it'd be $4.00. An $11 drink that's really just 24 ounces of milk, tea, boba, and ice cream? Steep, don't you think? We obviously went without the ice cream. No one in Portland or Beaverton has yet to charge so much for a drink like this. I'm disappointed I spent so much on such a bad drink. Would advise you to not come here for the boba (you can't have boba in your name and not serve good boba). Their ice cream/froyo is probably good, but I wouldn't come back for it.

Emily V.

Yelp
So yummy, Thai iced coffee boba so good! My young one loved the strawberry milk boba, super fresh strawberries! Service was okay! Definitely my favorite boba so far in Portland!

Charvi B.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday afternoon and there were just a few people waiting. I paid $6 for my drink which i guess is around normal for portland boba. You just order at the window and wait for them to call your name- it was ready quickly! My drink was pretty good although I wish my chai was a little stronger, it seemed a little watered down. My boba pearls were really soft and tender and flavorful though, I loved them! My friend got a hot golden milk (lol haldi ka doodh if you're desi) with almond milk and she couldn't finish it - she said it lacked flavor and was too watery. I would still come here again for boba though!

Julia S.

Yelp
Delicious milk tea here with friendly and FAST service! This is my GO TO place if I want a refreshing treat. I highly recommend ordering online as this place can get a little busy. I appreciate the precautions staff are taking in making pick up safe! One of my favorites is the chai, especially as you can choose the level of sweetness you want in your tea. It's a bit pricey for boba, but worth the occasional visit!

Jan C.

Yelp
This place is so good it isn't even funny. I don't know what else to say. I seriously don't know. Good vegan options and everything tastes so good and not overly sweet. I appreciate this place loads. Some of the best boba in inner SE.

Jennie K.

Yelp
Great neighborhood boba shop! Boba is soft and sweet and both the Strawberry Matcha Milk tea & Thai milk tea were perfect. Can't wait to try their other flavors!

Lynn N.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW I'm so impressed with this cute store, they create a super cute environment and friendly services. I picked matcha green tea mix with pineapple syrup. Tea is really rich and flavor. They also carried Vietnamese yogurt (Da ua) here. Finally, I can find a place that sold "Da ua"", it's absolutely delicious and made me to miss my childhood.

Kathy S.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because the guy who was working was super nice and very welcoming (I think he might've been an owner). They have fro yo and he was telling me that their flavors change and offered samples. I ordered two milk teas just the regular classic and also the matcha. Both drinks tasted really watered down. I didn't think the drinks were sweet and I got regular sweetness level. In both drinks you couldn't really taste the tea flavor. The classic just tasted like milk with some sugar and the matcha was not strong in flavor either. I've had bad milk tea before and this place wasn't bad but it was just okay. Won't go back for the milk tea but will probably go back if I was in the area to try the fro yo.

Jenny Y.

Yelp
I was hesitant on coming here after reading Yelp reviews. Reason? They do not top their drinks when asked for light ice. You might say that's such a trivial thing to stop me from going - well yes, but in my opinion I do think I got ripped off; just a little bit. Why? For a $5.00 drink that's not filled all the way is like a difference between a medium and a large drink. Anyways, I also did not think there's anything menu that really popped out to me... until they have the BobaGuys inspired Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea $5.50 (the breakdown: $4.50 for drink, $0.50 for boba, $0.50 strawberry puree). Really? Puree is a topping? Does not taste like BobaGuys. Good try though! I sampled almost all their froyo, their tart based froyo is definitely an acquired taste. I do not think it goes well with ALL the flavors; however, the durian was on-point! Tart based is unique though. Customer service was A+ Neat place, small. Can get crowded fast. Street parking only. Not a fan.

James H.

Yelp
Boba and I are pretty good buddies, so here's the rundown of Boba Milk. What's good: -The staff is friendly and let us try some of the froyo. -The froyo was good! -Not too busy so definitely no wait. -Street parking isn't too bad in the surrounding area. What's meh: -Classic milk tea. It tasted more like milk and more like Jasmine...kinda odd I know. -I'd definitely be coming back and changing my review if the milk tea improves!

JT L.

Yelp
Cute place, service was good, but the boba was horrible. Hard and bland; some of the worst boba I've had in a long time. On the flip side, the matcha was good and the sweetness level was spot on. They didn't load it up with ice either. Almond milk available. I'd give it 0 stars for the boba, 4 stars for the tea, 4 stars for service (rounding up to a 3).

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Boba Milk has unique froyo flavors like passionfruit, ginger with black sesame, pandan durian, and roasted beet with poppyseed. I would recommend coming here if you're into those options! I got the passionfruit, which had a good flavor. The froyo is tart and light, as opposed to ice cream which is much denser and creamier. Cute spot for a date.

Helen W.

Yelp
This is such a cute dessert place! The art on the wall is cute and the neon sign on the wall adds to the aesthetic of the store in general. There are lots of options menu-wise and unique flavors I've never seen as froyo before. The employee who helped us out was really sweet and explained their froyo making process to us. I tried the matcha froyo with boba! I've never tried matcha as a froyo flavor before and thought that the tartness in the froyo combined with the matcha flavor made the overall taste more unique. My only complaint is that this place is a bit pricey. The fruit tea was $5 and I didn't really want to try it since fruit teas are usually less expensive. I don't know of any other places that top their froyo with boba, so this is a unique place definitely worth checking out!

Michelle Pearl G.

Yelp
I know some people are a little unhappy with the fact you shake the boba yourself, I actually loved it, for the visuals. Which we all know, is a huge part of the dining experience. I loved seeing the golden milk mix poured over top of the milk tea. When I brought it back to the table, my daughter and I watched as it mixed into the milk and turned into one fluid golden hue. I feel like this is the same as ordering "ahi towers" at sushi restaurants. You end up having to smash it all to bits, to mix each layer up so that each spoonful has a bite of everything. Despite needing to mix it up, they still bring it out as a beautiful tower for the visual appeal. I'm also completely fine with the $0.50 charge for add ons. The biggest reason why I love this place, is that they don't just use the pre-done powder flavorings where sugar and flavor is all mixed in. Those always taste off to me. For instance, I got green tea matcha milk tea. I'm used to places scooping powder in here, so when I asked how many scoops they use, they responded that they use a liquid matcha concentrate. Then you add how much sweetness you want by 25% 50% etc. My matcha milk tea tasted like actual, strong matcha with a little hint of sweetness to counteract the strong tea. It was perfect. I've been to so many other places where the matcha barely taste like actual matcha and everything is so diluted with other fillers. So if I have to pay $0.50 extra for more of an ingredient or to add something, I'm fine with it here since they're quality. I'd rather pay for something of quality, than get free versions of lesser quality. That's all my own preference though, to each there own! I'm also used to paying extra to add grass jelly at other boba places! The frozen yogurt here was delicious as well! I think what I like most is that this place isn't afraid of flavors. When that day it's durian, IT IS DURIAN. The flavor of durian doesn't leave you and it tastes like a bite of fresh fruit. The chili mango tastes exactly like that, fresh and so strong. My daughter didn't leave any of her raspberry chocolate behind! I guess this review was to help explain how things are here, as other reviews have been knocking stars off for things that we love and understand. Lastly, the actual boba is fresh and chewy. We will come here often!!

Amanda R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for tea or frozen yogurt. I drive across town just to go here and 'treat' myself. Creative flavors made of real ingredients. If you appreciate a true to flavor product made well, you will love Boba Milk. There are plenty of classic flavors like Thai tea and matcha with unique flavors like mango Thai chili and passion fruit. My personal favorites are the strawberry matcha tea with boba and the fruit teas, loved blueberry and now I love mango green tea. The pineapple frozen yogurt is unreal. You really can't go wrong!!

Charlie T.

Yelp
A cool small spot located near inner Southeast Division area! The place has special housemade hard-scooped frozen yogurt and also boba tea. It's a two for one deal! I liked the special flavors of the frozen yogurt that they have. The passionfruit and cranberry are delicious! They also have some unique flavors like ginger w/black sesame and pandan durian, just to name a couple. Their bubble tea is also tasty as its brewed versus powder mixed. You can adjust the sweetness, which is also a plus (as I do not really like it sweet). I haven't tried the fruit tea yet, but it will be my next drink there.

Will C.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to give them a try. I wanted less ice in my drink as it was cold outside and wasn't feeling for a topping (topping costs 50 cents extra). My drink came out to be $5. When the lady gave me my drink, I had to: 1) shake it myself 2) wonder where the rest of my drink was as it was only 3/4 full. I will not be coming back here especially if I am thirsty.

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
My family hyped this place up so I was excited to go here. I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks were not good imo. Ordered the strawberry jasmine tea and ended up getting that replaced with the peach green tea and didn't like that either. I'm not a matcha person, so I can't speak for the strawberry matcha milk tea that I got but that seems to be the best drink there. Didn't think I could go wrong ordering a Vietnamese Coffee but... that was not great either. Also got some froyo, which I thought was the star of my visit. Pros: * Great service, staff is friendly and when I was unsure about a drink, offered to replace it if I didn't like it * Their froyo! The Naked Tart was spot on, I'd come back alone just for this... I also tried a mango thai chili sample, which was a test flavor and I felt like I was eating a mango dipped in fish sauce with thai chili... was weird but I also liked it lol tasted like regular mango froyo with a peppered kick at the end Cons: * Their drinks need work. I ended up not liking the strawberry jasmine tea. The drink just didn't mix well, the sweetness was off. The syrup flavoring was not for me... tasted like cough syrup mixed with really strong jasmine tea and that was not a fun after taste. I usually like my fruit teas light and the fruit flavor infused enough that it's a light flavor and both the tea and flavor were strong. I just didn't think they went together well... Staff was nice enough to replace with peach green tea, which is my usual go to at most boba places and I didn't like it either but felt bad so I just left with it. Same problem here... the peach syrup was too much and the overall drink I did not balance in sweetness and overall mix... I didn't change my level of sweetness in either, as I went with their basic levels for both to test their original mixes. Since the teas didn't work for me, I had ordered a Vietnamese Coffee as backup. Didn't think anyone could get that wrong either but boy was I wrong... it didn't have that kick that Vietnamese Coffee has and not sure if they used condensed milk but it didn't taste like it. It was so tasteless it was literally tasted like watered down milk with a really light burnt caramel taste. Not the prominent caramel and cream mix you would expect from a Vietnamese coffee. I'm sure other people like it here and maybe I need to drastically tweak the drinks to like it but it just not for me

Yelp
This place is interesting.... weird flavors from panda durian to the classic original and thai ice tea, it has a limited, but wide range of varieties of uncommon flavors. I got the golden boba, which is not offered in their ice cream form ( so I couldn't test taste it) but I was feeling wild. If I remember correctly it's with turmeric, cinnamon, and some other spices. The colors are so pretty! I like that they don't shake it up for you so you can enjoy the aesthetics :) the turmeric was really strong, I know it's very "in" right now so I get that it would eventually show up on boba menus but I think I prefer it as a coffee more. The powder kinda sits in your throat so it's strong. But I think it's a nice twist to the basic ordinary menus. So kudos to them for trying something new! The pandan durian was interesting.. but good if you like durian! It will make your breath smell like... durian (duh) so you've been warned

Yelp
Durian Pandan Yogurt. You hate it or love it. I loveeeeee durian AND pandan so this was exciting for me. I wasn't sure how a mix would taste but nonetheless, it blew my expectations. No smell upfront, but once it's in your mouth the durian is super overpowering, but the tartness in the yogurt helped mellow it down. Sadly, not much pandan flavor though :( Just the slight tint of color. My boyfriend ordered the Viet Coffee with condensed milk. It was aaaaiiiitttee. Nothing like wow, but much appreciated in Portland. I do appreciate their nice variety of Matcha and other quirky flavors. I don't know if I would drive out of my way to come here, but it's nice to know it's there if needed. After moving away the Bay, my cravings for boba has diminished as I've come to accept that Portland lacks the boba scene. I'm glad that Boba Milk is trying to bring it back because honestly, there's really nothing else that even tries. Sharetea = Waaaaack. Ding Tea = Over rated. Love it or hate it.

Yelp
Great bubble tea and froyo joint with unique flavors and very solid boba and tea! The Passion Fruit Froyo is definitely the star of the show here and an absolute must try. The tangy-ness of the yogurt plays very well with the sweetness of the passion fruit, resulting in an absolutely delectable treat you won't find anywhere else. Runner up is the Ginger Black Sesame which has a wonderful bite to it that's rounded out by the smokey sesame sprinkled throughout. The rest of the flavors were good but not good enough for us to get as I thought they'd be better in a milk based ice cream form. I'd rank the three Cold Milk Teas we got, best to indifferent, as follows: Macha, Tai, Golden. The boba in all three were great with prefect texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The Macha was very smooth and the perfect amount of sweetness at 75%. Tai was yummy but tasted watered down due to the use of almond milk instead of milk (read: get it with milk!). Golden, while unique, was so-so cold. I definitely want to try it hot next time. Tasting the ground up spices in an iced tea form just doesn't allow the flavors to shine, regardless of how pretty it may look.

Yelp
This is some quali-tea boba I got the classic tea + boba with 75% sweetness. It was still a tad too sweet so I'll probably do 50% next time. I can really taste the tea flavor and a few of my boba pieces were on the softer side, but other than that it was a tasty. I sampled the golden milk and I believe I was told it had ginger and tumeric. Kinda threw me off but it was surprisingly refreshing! Highly recommend if you love boba. I'll come back to try the froyo next

Yelp
The tart at boba milk is AMAZING!! It has the perfect balance between tart and sweetness. I love the pineapple tart especially with boba. It is such a refreshing snack for the hot summer day. Be sure to eat the boba quickly, as it will harden. I also tried their chai boba drink, which was okay. I would come back for the tart any day, but maybe not the boba.

Yelp
I got the classic milk tea and it was not good. There was no tea flavor at all. Their other drinks must be amazing but don't get classic milk tea. I took two sips and that was it - waste of money. My first drink to determine if a boba place is good or not is the classic and this failed.

Yelp
Call it what you will, but I call it repulsively stingy . This place should change their name to 3/4 cup. This place is truly Portland style, going above and beyond to be insanely stingy. If you are so tight on cash why don't you just tell customers you need to charge an extra 25 cents for that extra little drip of drink? This place never EVER fills it up. They always only give 3/4 cup drinks. This only leaves a bad taste in customers mouths, even if the drink taste good, it feels too insulting to get a partial drink when every other place gives you a whole drink. Really, just buy smaller cups if you can't afford to fill it up.

Yelp
This is by far the best place in the Continental United States to find fish chips of extraordinary and unique quality. The taste they achieve in these precious morsels is unparalleled to any previously sampled chip outside of Guam. I can only assume via product of illumination that they must pre-roast the shrimp in what appears to be a dry roaster. They're succulent and sweet tasting boba achieves the optimal flavor far better than anything else outside of rural establishments in the highland country of Thailand itself. I ordered the mango Matcha and the mango flavor found in the exquisite beverage would only be compared to the fresh picked mangoes of the Suvarnarekha trees in the Canary Islands. A truly exemplary Boba establishment

Yelp
I moved to Portland from the Bay Area the first week of March before the pandemic hit, and needed to quickly find my new boba spot. I found Boba Milk on Yelp and knew I needed to go there once I saw they had Strawberry Matcha. Being from the bay, I did compare it to Boba Guys. First thought, "omg I found my replacement boba guys in my new home!" I completely fell in love with their strawberry matcha. I normally get it with boba and almond milk at 50% or sometimes 75% sweetness. The only difference if I am comparing them to Boba Guys is that they don't have the Oat Milk option. But still good with the almond milk option if you don't want regular milk. My boyfriend's go to drink is the Thai tea with regular milk and at 100% sweetness (he thought that the milk overpowered the taste with lower sweetness- but that's his own preference). Their boba is always cooked perfectly- not too soft and not too hard. I haven't tried anything else here yet only because I love the strawberry matcha so much. But I did learn they have mango matcha as well so I'll have to give that a try. Also, they cook their own purée for the drinks which adds to the great flavors! Overall, definitely a great boba spot that I love and just reminds me of home. The owner and staff are super friendly and always so welcoming. It sucked when the pandemic hit and they had to shut down for a bit. All I did was crave their drink! But so happy they are back open! Thank you Boba Milk!! Update 8/2: tried the mango matcha today. Personal opinion, it was good but I would choose the strawberry matcha over this one. It was a little thicker because of the mango purée. Still really good and I love mango, but between the two, get strawberry. I ordered the mango with almond milk, boba and 50% sweetness which was recommended because it is much sweeter than the strawberry matcha.
