The 14 Essential Boba Tea Shops in San Francisco Right Now - Eater SF

"“J,” one co-founder of this rabbit-themed boba shop, grew up in Taiwan where boba is plentiful, whereas business partner “K” moved to the United States in 2012 and is an aspiring acupuncturist. Quirky backstories aside, this Balboa Avenue has plenty of signature items, like their riff on a black sugar boba latte, the aptly named Black Bunni ($6). A classic black milk tea runs just $4.95 at this shop." - Paolo Bicchieri

Got a basic black milk tea with some cheese foam. It was alright I guess, the cheese foam was barely noticeable and the flavor of the tea was pretty subtle. Boba was okay too so there's not much I can say for it. Nothing went terribly wrong but for SF, there's a lot of competition so I would skip this place if I was looking for a place for some bubs. The inside was like also half under construction or something too so it was pretty uggs. Drinks: 4/10 Service: 5/10 Vibes: 3/10 Value: 4/10

We really enjoyed their regular milk tea with boba. Recommendations: 50-75% sugar with ice. 50% sugar felt just right with ice. If you like a little sweeter I’d get 75% sugar. We ordered through DoorDash and it came out to be ~$7 with taxes and fees, which in today’s world seems to be an average price for these type of drinks.

Disclaimer: Ordered delivery. Have not visited in store yet but would like to now. Thai tea, Oolong milk tea with white rabbit pudding, and Black milk tea with boba. All 3 were ordered at 75% sweet and regular ice. I thought they were all delicious and the right sweetness with the perfect amount of ice. Sometimes I dislike when you get a milk tea & the tea has melted all the ice. Doesn’t happen here. Boba is chewy and not too sweet and pudding is soft and delicious. I am pleasantly surprised since I didn’t know what to expect. Will definitely make an in person visit next time I venture out. Glad they’re making great drinks during a less than ideal time to be a small biz.

Came here for the soft opening and was really impressed with how smoothly everything is. They have buy one get one half off until March 7th! Everything is fairly priced (3.75-5.50), although given its their soft opening that may change. The drinks really great! I went with family and we got the black bunni, house milk tea, and orange blossom. The orange blossom stood out the most to me because it was a fairly unique drink (orange juice mixed with tea). I’ll definitely be back to try out more drinks.

If you like Boba Guys, you will probably like this place. I don't exactly like Boba Guys so this place is not for me. I got the classic Yunnan Black Tea Latte which the name doesn't really make sense because there is no coffee in it and the House Black Milk Tea uses non-dairy creamer. At least that is what the description on DoorDash says. The tea flavor is very faint and the milk flavor is very faint. I had 75% sugar and it did not taste very sweet so I would recommend getting the 100%. I would not get it again.

Great boba. Love the Cheezi Bunni. Only boba place I've ever seen to have pu erh tea and it's amazing in the cheezi bunni. Great staff and comfy cafe atmosphere. My new regular. Also love the steel boba straws they sell. Has saved us from the plague of bad paper ones out there. Looove the cute boba sleeve they gave us as well.

Great place! I’m not a fan of sweet drinks, and the 25% sweetness was perfect for me. The service was great, and the workers there were very kind. The boba was the perfect level of chewiness. (I don’t like really chewy boba). The menu had some unusual and delicious flavors . I read other reviews, which stated that they didn’t like the boba. I think everybody will have different opinions on the tea here. The only con was that the drinks did take a while to make. Not too long, but still a while.

One of my favorites for milk tea and gọji berry longan tea in the city. Don’t agree with what people say about the tea not being strong enough but I felt the ratio is good. Perhaps they should get less ice? Only issue would be the sugar level is not always consistent but still pretty good. I like the fact that they use organic sugar cane for sweetener which gives the tea a more unique taste. The toppings are all high quality vs packaged and comes in a pretty nice hard plastic cup. Recommend giving it a try if you haven’t yet.
