The drinks were good. The tofu pudding was legit. Service can be slower as there is one person manning the whole operation from making drinks to punching cash machines. The order app does not work when we tried. Do note there is a free 2 hours parking at the back garage

Came to try the wheel cake (車輪餅) which I enjoyed very much in Taiwan. I got one custard and one red bean because they're the classic flavors for this dessert. The fillings were good, especially the custard one. The batter on the other hand leaves much to be desired. When done well, the wheel cake should have a crunchy exterior but a soft interior. At the better places in Taiwan, the top and bottom halves should have a similar amount of sponge. Over here, one side is substantially thicker. I ate them right away at the store, so the lack of a hard shell cannot be attributed to steam.

Wow i wish this place was closer to me. The pancake we got was soooooo good! I wish it was bigger but it tasted so good that I guess it made up for the price.

We’ve been coming here for years, have loved it every time. Their wheel cakes are to die for. I think we’ve had every single one, but custard is still our favorite. All their drinks are great, but lately we discovered their pineapple coconut colada. Amazing. Their snacks are great too, their corn side is so good. The owner is very sweet and kind. Hope it’s here forever!

Google
Drinks are pretty good here. I ordered the Bobacraft milk tea with boba and I had no complaints. The sweetness was just right if not you can opt for the 50% sweetness. The service was quick and fast. The place looks good and clean on the inside. Overall, great experience and will come back again.

Google
I ordered the taro pearl milk tea and the spicy popcorn chicken. I wasn't expecting real taro in the tea but it was a delicious surprise. This is really Bobacraft! The vibes of the place are really chill too. So it's no wonder why students love going here after school. Overall, this is a great boba place!

Google
The Bobacraft milk tea and peachyberry drink were tasty, the boba was very fresh and had the perfect consistency. I'm glad I tried the cream custard wheel cake, it wasn't too sweet and was warm and fresh. Would definitely go here again!

Google
A solid boba spot with more than just boba on the menu. I had their brown sugar boba blast with red bean. It was delicious and a filling dessert, the flavor was excellent and the boba was delicious. Overall it was a great drink. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items including their food offerings.

Yelp
We came here a few minutes after they closed 9 PM, not realizing that they were supposed to be closed. The owner kindly greeted us, and didn't mention at all that they were closed; he could have turned us away and it would have been completely understandable. And yet, he took our order, and had our food out quickly with no complaints at all! S-tier customer service. Oh and their Popcorn Chicken Deluxe is incredible, highly recommend.

Yelp
Bobacraft has been amongst the restaurants of Main St for a while; how did it take me so long to venture in? For starters, parking is fairly easy either on the street or in the small garage with a 2-hour limit. On a weekday afternoon, there was ample space. After walking in, I noticed that it was surprisingly stuffy and humid. The a/c was also not running at the time of visit, and the door was wide open. While there may at times be no one at the counter, you can ask for service when ready. Perhaps the most annoying part of the experience, though, would be browsing the menu. The TV screens that have the menu are rotating, and each screen switches (why?) within a few seconds. Not only did this cause anxiety but also result in me frantically trying to find where the items went... which screen do I look for? I wasn't sure what to order, so I settled for their Brown Sugar Boba, half sweet. The boba was just the right texture, and that amount of sugar was also just right so as to be not too sweet. Working here? Despite the stuffy environment, there is Wi-Fi. The music is a tad on the louder side, and there may be constant foot traffic and ambient street noise but overall workable.

Yelp
The service was great, super informative and nice man took our order. Not a lot of seating, but we were lucky to get a table for 5 of us. It was about 85 degrees outside, while cooler inside, it was still a little warm, so we took our drinks home to drink. Over all the boba itself tasted good! The blue one is super sweet, so just beware if you order full sugar it will be more sweet. The chewiness was great. I got a watermelon drink with blue boba with 30% sugar. It was yummy! Just would pull back more on sugar level. I would go back!

Yelp
Bobacraft cafe has a decent selection of drinks and snacks, including wheel cakes and popcorn chicken. The menu does have a few standout/unique drinks like their woodear crystal selection. I ordered their signature Bobacraft Milk Tea with boba (70% sweetness) and their Pink Matcha Latte (50% sweetness). The pink matcha latte was tasty and refreshing. It had some strawberry mixed in and felt like just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. I was disappointed with the Bobacraft milk tea, which tasted watered down and lacked flavor. However, the boba saved the drink, bringing a kick of sweetness and a chewy texture to top it off. If ordering the milk tea, I recommend getting either a regular sweetness or less ice for it. The cafe itself was cute, with an appropriate amount of seating to wait for drinks or just hangout. The cafe also seems understaffed, so hopefully they get more help soon.

Yelp
Place is a little bit messy. I almost walked out because of it. Decided yo stay and ordered drink. Apparently, not enough worker. They are hiring if anyone interested in becoming a " Bobarista " Anyway, ordered the watermelon drinks with blue boba. OMG! Its so good! I'm glad that I stick around.

Yelp
My coworkers and I have been obsessed with this place recently! The drinks are made with fresh fruit and very refreshing! The service is great always a nice guy making the food and drinks! The place also has a parking garage behind or street parking! Very clean and modern looking. Tried their food the other day and it was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
My favorite is the watermelon green tea- it's so refreshing during hot days. Also popcorn chicken is delicious. My family tried also tofu which we call TAHO in the Philippines. It's a good cafe to hangout and they let you stay long to have long conversations. The staff are nice . It's my new favorite spots to get boba.

Yelp
First time to try this place and it exceeded my expectations. I like that there were milk alternatives and a non dairy option. You can also customize the ice and sweetness level. I was especially impressed by the mushroom drink. It tasted creamy, coconut, mushroom. But with that combination none over powered the other. The popcorn chicken had a good crunchy coating to it. The fries in the poutine were seasoned well. It consisted of cheese and gravy. I liked that parking was right around the corner.

Yelp
I came by recently to grab a drink after work and it wasn't too busy when I dropped by. Service was quick and friendly and they have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and they also make food here so you can easily have a lunch or dinner meal here from snacks like fries and popcorn chicken to rice plates. They also specialize in made to order wheel cakes which take about 20 minutes to make but look amazing. I have to get those next time I stop by. I got the Mango Green Tea with lychee jelly when I visited and it was refreshing, sweet, and much needed after work. Ambience was inviting and it was brightly lit and there is plenty of seating available if you want to work/study there. Prices are comparable to most shops in the area. If you are in Alhambra, come give Bobacraft a try.

Yelp
I usually order regular milk tea whenever I'm craving boba, this time I was craving it pretty late (roughly 8pm). This place was on the way so my boyfriend went in to order to go. He got me the classic milk tea boba with 30% sweetness and a peach green tea with jelly for himself. The drinks came in a nice hard plastic cup with a lid that has a flip insertion to drink out of or stick a straw. I would say that the boba was a bit hard, it was still soft and sweet on the outside. Given how late we went, it made sense the boba was a bit old. Milk tea was pretty good, I'm glad we got 30% sweetness because it was pretty sweet! The place was cute, bright, and plenty of drink photos to have an idea of what the drink will look like.

Yelp
Came here for the wheel cakes. The wait for 15 minutes (made to order). The wheel cakes were good, not overly sweet. I'd prefer a crispier crust but it was still good as it came out fresh and not. I plan to come back to try their popcorn chicken and other snacks.

Yelp
A great place for a sweet treat in Alhambra. The interior is clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. The menu was available on both screens and via qr codes. I was adventurous and tried the snow mushroom (Woodear Crystal) drink with blue boba. The blue boba is just regular tapioca boba but blue, and the snow mushroom was blended into the milk so it just added a little bit of texture. Personally, I found it a bit too sweet for my liking, but the matcha my friend ordered was much less sweet and more to my taste. The drinks are reasonably priced and service was quick, so maybe I would come by again.

Yelp
Always have a great experience coming here!! I love love love their pink matcha with boba (basically strawberry matcha, and the boba balls are clear which is very cool!). I've also tried their peach green tea with boba and they made it very unique by adding blue boba balls. I love the cheesy espresso and the custard wheelcakes. Those are the only ones I've had and they are both delicious! Customer service is the best! I always ask for recommendations and they always give great choices. The place is clean and also has lots of space, tables, chairs and clean restroom!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good handcrafted teas for this part of town. A few tables for seating and a bathroom that's relatively clean too. As far as drinks, my boyfriend ordered a taro drink that wasn't too sweet and I really enjoyed the seasonal watermelon green tea that was very refreshing on a hot day. Overall decent place to chill!

Yelp
Since my last visit, Bobacraft has added more food items on the menu. Popcorn chicken rice and pork stew rice are delicious and remind me of bentos in Taiwan. And the tofu pudding original is as authentic as it gets, especially the cooked peanuts!! So yummy and nostalgic. Service is friendly. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Fast, convenient parking garage around the corner, serves fresh wheel cakes. For some reason I have only gotten the food here so can't vouch for drinks, but their wheel cakes are good! I think they could be a little crunchier but the filling to shell ratio is good--nothing completely bursts when you bite into it but the filling is still moist and the cake is just right. Could stand to bake it a little longer. Their popcorn chicken is just ok, but has a good amount of fried basil which makes the whole experience much better. Minced pork rice is a little too salty but they saturated the whole bowl of rice. They are a little understaffed but they are hiring if anyone is looking for a job. Overall I will be back for the wheel cakes and maybe finally try a drink.

Yelp
I wish I tried this place sooner! The wheel cakes are a must try if you're nearby!!!! So good and nice and warm since they make it fresh. Takes about 20 minutes depending on how many orders but definitely worth the wait. A lot of flavors so you can find something that appeals to you. The boba milk tea was pretty refreshing and perfectly sweet. The cashier was very friendly and greeted me warmly upon entering!
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
I love wheelcakes. Remember when they were $0.50? The wheelcakes here are by far delicious. The wheelcakes saved this from a lower rating. If I had ordered only wheel cakes the review would have been 5 stars hands down. Food is a no go here. Giant chicken steak - mediocre Popcorn chicken - below par Milk Tea - not something I would order again even if I did order wheel cakes. It's sad but the milk tea was lacking in flavor. Or is it supposed to be subtle? Overall I would only order wheel cakes. There is a wait time when you order in store and depending on how many people are there, the wait is longer. I think at a previous trip it was 30 mins for me. But don't let the wait time deter you. Their tables are clean and there are a good amount of seats.

Yelp
Bobacraft Cafe is the best place to get a very good matcha / milk teas in Alhambra in my opinion. The food also was delicious and they served big portions as well in a very affordable prices. Service was great the owner is very nice. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
My sister and I have gone here several times, specifically for the wheelcakes/obanyakis! They are freshly made to order and aren't too sweet. The owner has been there every time we've gone, and he has been very kind. Just a note that things may take slightly longer during peak times before it's a bit understaffed. However I think it's worth the wait for delicious wheelcakes/obanyakis!

Yelp
Was craving some boba drinks and this was the only thing I found that was in the direction of home. Ordered their Bobacraft milk tea and peach berry black tea. The boba craft milk tea was just ok. Nothing to write home about. The peach berry black tea with lychee jelly was refreshing. It's a bit sweet with the jelly, so you might want to lower the sugar levels. There are tables inside to enjoy your food/drinks. It wasn't crowded, but then again, I came in on a Friday around 3pm. There's a covered parking lot in the back, but I am not sure if the parking is structured or just the one floor I ended up parking on.

Yelp
Ambiance: the corner tea place serves drinks and light bites food Service: the cashier was very friendly, and patient with questions, provided useful suggestions for orders Drink: few regular options and specialties Pink Matcha - **** choice of blue boba, rich in flavors, and chewy boba, recommend Price: decent portions and reasonable prices, about $7~$8 for tea drink
google avatar

Yelp
I love their Jasmine Green Milk Tea! You get that nice tea taste more than the milk. I also love their wheel pies :D It is very delicious! My go-to is the custard and red bean.

Jin C.

Yelp
My visit here very positive, particularly due to the friendly service and excellent popcorn chicken with rice. The texture of the popcorn chicken was crispy, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. While the veggies and rice gave a good contrast to the overall flavor of the dish. The interior contributed to my positive experience, being notably clean. Overall, highly recommend you give this place a try. Again, Popcorn Chicken 10/10
google avatar

Thomas C.

Yelp
Nice place to get snacks from. I like their popcorn chicken. The guy who works there, who I assume is the manager, is also a nice guy. There's ample space inside to sit around too, overall I'd bobacraft is a nice neighborhood small eats drink cafe to chill out in with reasonable prices.

Yelp
This review is for the wheel cakes specifically. With my Preggo craving for the nostalgic wheel cakes that they used to sell outside the supermarkets, my husband and I were on a mission to find them. Thank goodness for Bobacraft. We tried the custard, brown sugar boba, and the cookies and cream. The size of the wheel cakes are bigger than the ones we remembered eating as a kid. The cake had just the right amount of thickness so the warm custard would not gush out and make a mess. Custard was perfectly sweet. Boba was warm and chewy. For the oreo&cream, I think I would've preferred for it to have a white custard instead of the chocolate pudding/custard with the Oreo. Thanks for satisfying my pregnancy cravings!

Yelp
It's Alhambra Restaurant Week now! Authentic Taiwanese snacks for fried squid, fish cake and popcorn chicken. Do not miss their "wheel cake" So good to go with Boba Note: Sometimes over-seasoned. I usually ask for the original or easy on the ground pepper.

Yelp
Their fried tofu strips was so good ! Will go back for more. The flavor was so unique

Yelp
So impressed by their wheelcakes! For less than $3, you get a really thick, crispy buttery pancake with a generous amount of fluffy filling. They take about 20 min to come out because they are made to order, but they taste amazing when they're hot out of the griddle. Since I got a set of 9, I tried most of the flavors and I don't think there was one I didn't enjoy. I especially liked that the taro filling was really soft and mushy and the read bean had actual beans that were really soft. I highly recommend really following the directions they give you on how to heat them up at home, because I skipped the microwaving step and just used the air fryer and I ended up with crispy but cold cakes. I actually heated them in my microwave for 20 seconds and put it in the air fryer for more than 10 minutes and really loved the way they turned out so this is my go-to method. Since this place is called Bobacraft, I also had to try their boba so I got the Pink Matcha. The boba was too hard, and even though I ordered the brown sugar boba, I could not taste any of the sugar, so I don't think I'd get this again. I did like how they made the Pink Matcha by creating a top layer of matcha milk and a bottom layer of strawberry smoothie. The strawberry smoothie was so smooth - couldn't detect any seeds and or any crushed ice particles. The matcha layer was also very smooth and had that uji flavor, but it blended well with the strawberry smoothie layer to create contrast between uji and sweet flavors. I felt like the ratios between the two layers were pretty good because I've had a fair share of matcha drinks where it felt like there wasn't enough of or there was too much matcha.

Yelp
Came here around 4 PM with some friends for a post exam sweet treat. The inside is very clean and staff extremely friendly! There's a lot of space to sit and hang out with friends. They even have a QR code menu to also order online if you want to take your time and browse! I got to try the Pink Matcha as recommended by the staff since it's a popular choice! I would say that the strawberry milk is nice and refreshing, but it does overpower the matcha so if you're looking for a drink that tastes more like matcha, I would just go for their Uji Matcha Latte (which I will try myself next time). I also tried the popcorn chicken and French fries! Everything was tasty and fresh so I will definitely be returning! Price is not too expensive and came out in a decent amount of time!

Yelp
I have visited this small boba shop over the years for their Taiwanese wheel cakes, which have become increasingly difficult to find in SGV. Bobacraft offers 6 tables seating parties of 2-4. In addition to drinks, you can get wheel cakes with sweet and savory filling. Wifi is also available here, but I've never connected to it. At around $3 each, their wheel cakes are the premium version of the street food snack: larger, sturdier, and generously filled. I only get the custard filling since it's my favorite. The wheel cake is thick and fully cooked, soft and chewy and spongy. The custard tastes good and not too sweet. It could maybe use more egg yolk, but I'm not mad at it! I tried one of the Wood Ear Crystal drinks several years ago. It was tasty, but not my favorite because it reminded me of traditional Chinese dessert soup. Recently, I ordered the Bobacraft Milk Tea ($4.95 + $0.75 for boba). I chose this one over the Classic Milk Tea, which I heard uses half-and-half, because I wanted a stronger tea flavor. At 75% sugar, the taste of the black tea and brown sugar were mild, but present. The pearls were somewhat flavorful and chewy. I prefer boba to be less soft. Overall, I like the wheel cake more than the boba milk tea.

Yelp
With so many boba shops on this street, it surely is hard to compete but Bobacraft Cafe rises up! It was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon, but I didn't feel like I was waiting too long for my to-go matcha latte. The price is really steep but I tasted the quality in my drink for sure! I unfortunately wasn't charged for the boba I wanted when I ordered, so it didn't reflect on the drink sticker/order. The cashier was very apologetic and had to do another charge to give me the boba on the side. It was 83 cents, whew! I ended up paying more than $8 for a regular sized drink. I'd love to come back to try their wheel cakes and other drinks. Bobacraft left a good impression on me!

Yelp
Probably one of the worst matcha lattes I've had.. They put marukyu koyamaen on their posters so I went in and ask which one they used because Marukyu Koyamaen is a known matcha brand that sells ceremonial and culinary matchas, he said they used marukyu koyamaen i said which one? He said marukyu koyamaen! Aggressive but okay I guess he didn't know what he was talking about so I ordered anyways. Got the uji matcha latte with oat milk. I got a coconut milk matcha latte that's so sweet, pretty sure more than half of the cup was sugar I ordered oat and got coconut, matcha was also so bad that is definitely not marukyu koyamaen. Or maybe they used like 1 or 2 grams I don't know. Just don't get their matcha lol misleading poster.. drank a sip n threw it away :')

Yelp
Getting the Taiwanese desserts that my son has been looking for. Cold by now, very fluffy, not too sweet, a lot of filing. Recommend to try

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and heard about this place on Instagram as they're known for their wheelcakes. It's very easy to pass by as it's a small place but we walked in and there was only one waiter at the front. There were a couple of people waiting for their order of wheelcakes. We ordered two items: 1) Pink Matcha with boba: 9/10 Pretty good but pricey! The strawberry milk was so sweet and flavorful and I'm glad I decided to get 50% sweetness for the matcha. I like how they use ceremonial grade matcha and I can really taste the difference. I would get 25/0% sweetness next time since the pink strawberry juice was really sweet already. 2) Cream Custard Wheelcake: 10/10 This was so good! I'm glad we settled on this flavor as it's one of their most popular. The inside was soft and warm-- kind of like taiyaki flavor but less mochi-like. It was bouncy and delicious with the cream custard. Biting into it melted in my mouth. I will definitely come back to try the other Wheelcake flavors. Just beware though: there's not a lot of help so it takes about 15-20 minutes to wait for the wheelcakes to be made so I would order in advance to pickup.

Yelp
First time trying this boba spot and I am IMPRESSED. I ordered their wheel cakes, popcorn chicken, and fried squid balls. Everything was delicious. BUT what was more impressive was the customer service I was informed by the person who assisted me (I believe his name is John) that it would take about 30 minutes for the wheelcakes to be finished. While I was waiting and chowing down on the popcorn chicken and squid balls, he offered me water while I waited for the rest of my order without me even asking. I know I know, it's such a small gesture... BUT I rarely encounter these "small" gestures nowadays. So it was much appreciated. Definitely try this place out! Ps. the popcorn chicken is NOT dry at all and it is evenly and well seasoned

Yelp
Came into Bobacraft specifically for their wheelcakes! The wheelcakes aren't too sweet and very filling! I personally got the Cream Custard Wheelcake, and it was creamy and not overly sweet. I also took a bite of the Red Bean, and the Taro fillings. Both were dense but had a good amount of sweetness. I do want to note that it took around 30 minutes for our wheelcakes to be ready, since it's freshly made.

Yelp
Mango Woodear Crystal with Blue Boba: Not only is this beverage photogenic, but its flavors are sweet and refreshing. Wheelcakes: Made fresh to order (expect approx 15-20 minutes), these cakes are shaped like a wheel and available in a variety of flavors. We sampled the Cream Custard and Brown Sugar Boba and they left us wanting more! A great dessert or breakfast option. I only wish I lived in Alhambra so I could be a regular customer at Bobacraft Cafe. Check it out next time you're in the area!

Yelp
We love wheelcakes in this house! I first tried these during the pandemic and I've been hooked ever since. I must give these wheelcakes the Asian seal of approval of "not being too sweet" the flavors are always well balanced. Cookies & Cream and Black Sesame are always a favorite and good reliable choices. Custard is a fab OG and go to as well if I'm feeling indecisive. Espresso Cheese was a limited time flavor at the time of this review and it sounded so interesting we had to give it a try. It was... interesting. I'm not totally sure what I was expecting but the texture of the cheese (we think it was mozzarella) and the espresso filling were a bit weird. This particular savory + sweet combo wasn't doing it for me. But I'm glad I gave it a try!
google avatar

Winnie L.

Yelp
Their pink matcha tasted like fresh strawberry milk. I liked the added touch of the strawberry puree bits. Maybe I like my matcha strong but I felt that the strawberry overpowered the matcha just slightly. There is free parking in the back garage which is a plus!
google avatar

Kenneth C.

Yelp
Drinks are pretty good here. I ordered the Bobacraft milk tea with boba and I had no complaints. The sweetness was just right if not you can opt for the 50% sweetness. The service was quick and fast. The place looks good and clean on the inside. Overall, great experience and will come back again.

Yelp
Staffs were friendly. Food was packed neatly for to go orders. Drinks were pretty delicious. Boba was cooked perfectly. Loved the wheel cakes, fluffy and fresh. Also enjoyed the pork chop rice and fried tempura. But id skip the salted pork belly rice next time though. It was very dry and tough to chew.

Yelp
The food is soooooo amazing Always fresh always more than enough The service is great the options are a Amazing These are the best wheel cakes I've ever had U will want to try every flavor Best Thai tea Best pop corn chicken with onion garlic basil Such a great snack

Yelp
This is a small shop. The owner does everything. He is super nice and the drinks are unique and amazing. I like the wood ear with the blue Boba. Fantastic little shop. I would highly recommend and support this small business.

Yelp
Amazing! I've lived in Alhambra all of my life and just found out about this gem of a place! The pink matcha is amazing! The service was just as great and the seating area was nice and clean. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
My coworker and I visited earlier this afternoon since we happened to be in the neighborhood. We ordered the Taro Pearl drink as well as a Milk Tea drink w/boba. At first, the place seemed nice as we were greeted upon entering the establishment and we proceeded to order. BTW, I didn't know they had food items, so I'll go back for a 2nd try and see if the rating would be higher. I was unimpressed by the Taro Pearl as I expected it to be a vibrant purple color, not a dim almost white color and the pearls were tiny, so they weren't quite as visible as I'd hoped. The Milk Tea tasted more like Tea than it did milk. I understand it is tea based, but there is usually a balance between the two. The ambience itself was definitely great as there weren't too many people. As I mentioned, this is what we went in for. I may go back and try out their food.
google avatar

Yelp
A solid boba spot with more than just boba on the menu. I had their brown sugar boba blast with red bean. It was delicious and a filling dessert, the flavor was excellent and the boba was delicious. Overall it was a great drink. I'd definitely come back here again to try their other menu items including their food offerings.

Yelp
Great go to place for Taiwanese snacks like popcorn chicken, tempura fish cake, fried tofu etc. Ordered the popcorn chicken rice that comes with egg drop soup and side of cabbage. The medium spicy level has a good kick. Lots of selection for drinks. Recommend the Uji Matcha milk tea.

Yelp
Great price, quality food, and great service......how rare. Place is simple but enough. Background music is just that. Can't emphasis enough on the politeness of this guy.....older but patient....gets my respect, highly recommend as a tour stop. Too bad there's always these disgusting Public Display of Affection folks to ruin other peoples' experience.
