An easy five-star experience. The food is outstanding. Portion size is perfect. And price is shockingly amazing.
I had the one way, an order of ribs. I love that the ribs were not slathered with barbecue sauce, but barbecue sauce was provided on the side. They didn't need it, because they tasted great. I originally ordered it my two sides as collard greens and seasoned fries. By mistake they brought me out some coleslaw also. Best coleslaw I've had. I'm not normally a coleslaw fan, but I could have eaten two orders of this coleslaw. The collard greens we're unusual but amazing nonetheless. And the season fries could not have been better.
The food came out super fast, but it was also super fresh. It was obvious that nothing had been lying around.
And the service could not have been beat. Devin, my server, could not have been more attentive and professional.
The dining room is bright, spotless, and wide open. Most of the tables are family style tables, but they're large enough where you would not feel uncomfortable dining with the complete stranger. And it wouldn't matter if you were with a complete stranger, because if they're eating here, they're probably a pretty cool person anyway.
I can't wait to come back to Bobby Mac's.
Oh, and as for Downtown Crockett, I love it. I've always wanted a reason to spend more time in Crockett. It's a fantastic little city only a few miles from San Francisco and Oakland.
