I literally arrived at Harrah's from Wisconsin hungrier than ever. I was surprised to learn every anchor restaurant in the hotel is a Master Chef featured venue. They prices were completely outrageous and the food -- well, I wish vI could have dinner a McDonald's!
I chose a hamburger and was warned to get a small fry by a local resident. The hamburger (I don't eat cheese and meat together) was nothing special! No flavors, no seasoning, no special sauce. When I asked for mustard on it, I got told the get a packet of "French's yellow" at the self serve condiments bar. Are you kidding me? Master Chef Bobby Flay doesn't have anything better than a packet of French's? Even I use Dijon at home!!!
The burger was lackluster too. I asked for medium rare. It was clearly medium well and a little dry. The fries were good but again with the ketchup packets. I can eat good fries plain! Just sayin'!!
I can say, in addition to having indifferent servers and hotel staff who all seemed angry that we were there meeting up their piece and quiet, I'll NEVER eat in a Master Chef's restaurant again! I won't even watch the show anymore.
I experienced their food in 3 different restaurants at Harrah's. Not impressed! Overpriced! Rude and indifferent service. All hype!
I know if these guys know what's going on at Harrah's in Atlantic City, NJ. However, if my name and life sized picture was on the wall at the restaurant, I'd be over there trying to save my reputation. Of course, when Bobby, Gordan, Guy, and Buddy show up, I'm are everything is much much better.
As for us regular customers, I'm warning you $40 for hamburger, fries, and bottled water, left me wanting to scream ...
"You're a donkey"!
