We've been to the Bobcat Bonnie's in Ferndale many times, and loved it, so it's nice to know there's another just like it closer to home. Finding it, though, is a bit of a challenge in Partridge Creek mall (it's behind the mall, across from Forever 21, toward the movie theater).
This location is more spacious than the Ferndale one, and decorations are more sparse. But, there's something here that I haven't seen in many restaurants: board games! They have Battleship, Jenga, Connect 4, and a few others. For those who don't know, board games are special versions of the games that don't require your phone! So, set up a game while you wait: communicate with your dinner companions without using your thumbs! Is that what my wife and I did? No...I wrote this review while she was on her phone. If there had been Scrabble, though, we would have had to put our phones down.
I know you don't go out to eat so you can play games, but you'll be happy to know that it's the same amazing food that you would've had at the Ferndale location.
My wife loves the chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich. They were a little stingy with the chicken, but the flavor was great otherwise.
The fries, in case you don't know already, are very much like Rally's fries: crispy, flavorful, awesome.
The baked fish tacos, though, were astoundingly good. The fish was delicate, and seasoned so that you could really taste the flavor of the fresh fish. The avocado is a very nice touch. There are three tacos, and they're loaded.
Speaking of loaded, we both got a Kiev Mule (they call it a Moscow Mule, but we are showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people, so we have been calling it that). As with most places, they don't give you mint, which the drink really needs. But, it was very strong.
And, the service was flawless. It was friendly, quick, and there was no special request that was too much to ask. This is exactly what you want every time you go out to eat, but so rarely find.
I was trying to decide whether I liked this location better, but it really doesn't matter. You can't go wrong either way.
