Google
Great neighborhood bar! My husband and I stop here frequently for drinks and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, great priced drinks.

Google
Heights through and through. This little bar is mostly outdoor patio. It have a fun and friendly vibe in a dive bar setting. The live music and dog appropriate setting is a welcoming environment. Also a bonus is when they have the BBQ vendor there. Delicious food goes well with a fun place. Check it out.

Google
I've been performing as a solo acoustic act here for the better part of the decade. It's by far one of my favorite places to not only perform but hang out. It's such a chill and comfortable vibe.

David Groombridge

Google
Had a couple of beers outside and watched the Football. Live music. Drinks well priced. Good atmosphere. Lots of seating outside.

Google
Great atmosphere. Inside is dive bar, but twinkle lights add a friendly touch. Nice patio with good music. Plenty of heaters for when it’s chilly. Staff was very friendly. They have a food truck of crawfish.

Richard Garcia

Google
The bartenders are attentive and prompt. I have been here multiple times. The multiple screens let you see what ever game you wanna see that is airing live. Juana, and Roe are my favorite but whatever bartender you get they won't let you down.

Google
Awesome beer selection, friendly, kind and fun bartenders and an awesome crowd! Right now (Feb 2022) they have crawfish nightly Thursday - Sunday. Right now they are tasty but small, but that's to be expected in February. The bugs come with awesome spicy sausage and potatoes.

Google
Steak night was amazing. Megan the bartender was lovely. Great place to watch a game and people watch on white oak. They also have a great Guinness!

Yelp
A couple of friends and I visited Bobcat Teddy's while out on White Oak St for Memorial Day Weekend. I really liked the casual atmosphere and the laid back patio seating. The bartender was friendly and able to get us our drinks quickly. As it was a special for Saturday, I ordered the mimosa carafe and a Deep Eddy Lime w/ club soda for my friend. I was a bit disappointed with the mimosa carafe because it mostly juice and wasn't as much champagne as some of the other bars gave (for the same price). I'd visit again but would probably stick with beer here!

Yelp
I came here last night to grab some beers, not bad. Staffs were friendly and not too crowded. Good choices of country music. Theres outdoor seating and holiday tents. 7/10

Yelp
My go to place in the heights! Super chill patio, fans to keep you cool and plenty of tvs to watch whatever game you're looking for! Super affordable and homely ice-house vibe. Always greeted with a big smile and love from Amanda. Best bartender in town!

Ellie P.

Yelp
The ambiance is great and we enjoyed the live music plus the crawfish from the food truck. We however experienced poor service from one of the bartenders. He was rude and did not have a care in the world. Five additional friends joined us and they returned to the table sharing that they had the same experience of poor service from the same bartender. We were disappointed.

Yelp
This is a fun, off the beaten track I've house in the Heights. If you are looking for a classic night out without all of the frills, this is your place! Great outdoor space as well as some parking, which is rare in this area.

Carlos W.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times with friends. Nice patio area. Good vibes here. Nice place to hang and chill with friends.
google avatar

Les M.

Yelp
I've been going to that place almost every day for 20 years. Now a half pint of Guinness is $8 and on a good day I might recognize two people. I definitely lost it's Heights charm but then so has most of the Heights

Yelp
So this is is the new and improved Jimmy's icehouse. Patio has been redone and looks great! No more falling through the old boards or waking on pavement. Hard liquor is served with cool new cocktails to try. If you worry about the bobcat... it is still here just as catty as ever! Bud light is 3.00 bucks but now you can get an Austin Eastcider...ahhh gentrification, it's the American way eh?? Will report in the bathrooms later...I read they had been "updated and expanded, but it looks like the same Square footage inside to me.

Yelp
So I went there last night with my roommate to have a drink . The drinks were good . By the end of the night after receiving my tab bill I was SHOCK at to say the least . I was charged products that I didn't receive ie.. popcorn and was charged 6.54. Very disappointed that I was never told or informed that I was getting charged for something I didn't get . I called my bank to dispute this Because the bartender charged my card for this popcorn . I DON NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ANYONE!! They charge you without you knowing. I will never come back again! Just moved to this neighborhood and will find another place to go.

Yelp
Ambulance had an unconscious man on a stretcher when we arrived.. Should have been the FIRST red flag! After said incident we went to order a drink, bartenders working would not serve and bribed/threatened us to leave because of what we witnessed. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Love this Heights neighborhood dive bar! The bartenders are super friendly and get your drinks out quickly. There's always a live band or sporting event watch and food trucks everyday. Awesome patio full of friendly pups!
google avatar

Yelp
Recently tried Bobcats after attempting too since it started. Everything you like in an icehouse! They typically have great food vendors as well. Great place to watch sports.

Yelp
This place is pretty rad. Nice friendly bar atmosphere. Plenty of TVs. Reasonable prices. Great selection of spirits. There was a food truck on site when I went and I think you are welcome to bring in outside food too ( our table had picked up queso from Barnaby's across the street-yum!) dog friendly, just make sure your dog is friendly. Two thumbs up

Susan E.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst bartender I've ever come across. Tried to be nice to Indie but she was obviously not happy to be waiting on anyone. Very sad. I would feel sorry for her if she wasn't so rude
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful patio under large oak trees. Big screens are plentiful to watch sports. The staff has to be the best in town. Just plain helpful and friendly. Love it.

Yelp
This is an OK modern Ice House, which of coarse has taken the place of Jimmy's. I was never the biggest fan of that Icehouse, but it was a good spot to stop into every once in a while. After a few visits here, I feel the same. Its just a bar with a nice expanded outdoor patio and plenty of shinny new TV's. The two times I have been here, there was some kind of BBQ being made. Don't know if that is from the owners or they get someone to popup on occasion? Bartenders work hard and are sweethearts, which is all you really need. They didn't seem to have a lot of knowledge on the Irish Whiskey though. I read a press release that said they wanted to be known for the Whiskey selection but didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary...lots of Jameson, Redbreast and a bottle of Yellow Spot. Also a large beer selection of pretty much all Macros. Not that that is bad, but it seems they are almost trying to have a bad beer selection. I can't remember the last time I saw so many taps from all the large breweries. They did have Live Oak Hefe on tap, but that is about the only thing that I saw that was not made from one of the big three (Miller, Coors, Bud) or Lone Star...lots and lots of Lone Star. Anyway, all that to say its a nice place and glad the location didn't go to waist. I am sure they will do well, and like Jimmy's before, I will pop in from time to time. Just not among my favorites in the Heights right now.

Yelp
This place is so fun! Cool relaxed place for drinks. Affordable pricing and has outdoor seating which is a plus! Would definitely recommend! Tacos are so yummy and they have deals on Thursdays. A local joint I cannot wait to go to again

Yelp
I personally like the lavender bliss very much. It was sweet and smooth. Met a cute dog there :3 Waitress were warm and friendly. Only downside is that you would prob find it hard to park there since space is very limited, also it's kinda hot in there since most of the venue is outdoors.
google avatar

Yelp
Luv this place! Good music! Great atmosphere! And the staff is outstanding! Always good food! Especially wen El Taco Nato food truck is there! The Mexican Burger, the street tacos & mini tortas r OMG GOOD! My friend wanted veggie tacos & they hooked him up! Veggie tacos aren't even on their menu. They told me if there's something u want & it's not on on the menu just ask! Great place to hang out and bonus they're dog friendly!

Yelp
This was a fun, low key experience! Nice deck area and dogs are welcomed. We drank Manhattans and they were done very well. Good selection of beer and liquor. There was a DJ on the patio spinning a wide mix of music. Deck had heaters which was great since it was pretty chilly tonight. Easy going atmosphere!

Yelp
My husband and I went on St. Patrick's day (today) in the early afternoon specifically so our toddler could see the bagpipes that began at 5. We were not planning to stay long, and got there early, around 3:30. It was really windy out, and, the picnic tables we sat at on the side of the bar had several large umbrellas placed by each table for shade. The umbrella behind us got blown over, and, my husband as well as some nice guys sitting next to us ran to close the umbrella and lean it over, as it nearly hit me while I was holding my 2 month old. An employee later came by and started to put the umbrella back up. I told the employee we had to shut the umbrella because of the wind, and asked if they had sand bags to put down on the umbrella pedestals. The employee mumbled something and proceeded to open the umbrella. Shortly thereafter, the wind snapped the umbrella in half, breaking it and it catapulted towards me and hit me directly in the back as I was holding my 2 month old. There was a server who ran over and asked me if I was ok; I was alarmed because I had my baby in my arms. I replied that "I have a baby" and promptly got up and walked away to check on the well being of my child and to calm down. No one checked on us again/ apologized. The staff did take away all remaining umbrellas, but, an apology or some kind of acknowledgment of the situation would have been nice. We will no longer be patrons here.

Yelp
I've always had great service here! They have a bunch of outdoor seating with a few tables inside. They usually have a food truck or a tent with food during busy hours. They have live music on weekends. They also have games to play so it's a fun place to hangout!
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Amazing neighborhood bar! Friendly! Not expensive... great for casual social occasions and occasional great pop up food vendors!

Yelp
Fun, relaxing spot in the Heights for a drink. Comfortable patio tables with good views of TV's for watching games. Drink prices are really good and quality is great (also a good selection of nice whiskeys). They serve good rose by the glass so my wife likes to come along as well. On Sunday, we were there a little after lunchtime, but were still able to get some bbq from their vendor in for the day. Overall, love the new place and highly recommend. I'll be there often.

Yelp
I love this place. Best spot to grab a bucket of beers, casual clothes, and enjoy drinks with friends. Fast service, tons of fans. Always catch your heights locals here too.
google avatar

Antonio H.

Yelp
I hadn't been here a friend invited me. Laid-back ice houses vibe lots of seating at picnic tables music is jukebox . The drinks are craft cocktails with a selection of local beer and cheap. A good choice to avoid pretentiously overhyped and overpriced haunts which line white Oak.
google avatar

Kathlyn L.

Yelp
Really liked this place, I saw they had Manmosa carafes for $18 on Saturday and Sundays so I'm definitely going to have to check that out! I got a really good beer I think it was 1082 on draught. The place is pretty much covered and they have a lot of parking actually.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Decent beer options and the food pop up there was delish. I prefer my beers a lottle more chilled but aside from that it was a really nice place to get together with friends, maybe watch a game while youre there
google avatar

Chance K.

Yelp
Mmt favourite drive bar, this place is my Cheers! The staff is amazing, management is wonderful. I have hosted several events here too. Love this place!!!
google avatar

Cameron Y.

Yelp
My new favorite bar on White Oak for sure. Friendly staff, they now accept credit cards, and the tunes are always rocking, typically classic rock. Love the open air concept and they have space heaters, fans, and misters to make the weather more tolerable, no matter the season. Just a great, chill bar!

James G.

Yelp
Best bartenders in town! Nicole and Thomas are my favorite people to visit for a good drink and a great conversation. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
google avatar

Leslie R.

Yelp
OK Jimmy's fans come check this place out. Sure there are millennia's and craft beer but it is still good bar. They still have your basic domestics for $3. Bar and patio have the same layout but new, solid material. HUGH improvement on the restrooms
google avatar

May G.

Yelp
Love this place. Great atmosphere! I highly recommend stopping by for some (ElGoldo catering) crawfish, some of the BEST I've had.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Jose Martinez is the best ever!!!!! He is always helpful and knowledgeable about all of the beer, wine, and spirits!!! I would give this place 20 stars if I could!!!
google avatar

Jess A.

Yelp
I dig it. Great staff. Cold beer. Whiskey. And the toilets work. It's Jimmies 2.0, the improved version.
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
Best all around bar in the Heights. Talented bar tenders, great games, fun crowd. Perfect addition to the Heights. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
Love this place! Beer and liquor are a great price. Plenty of Tvs that always have the sound on for big games. The people that work there are super cool and nice

Gem A.

Yelp
Nice icehouse great atmosphere friendly people. Food truck out back off huge deck and lots of TV's for those games

Michael F.

Yelp
Our group was looking for a beer and lunch, starting before 11a. Teddy's and Alabama ice houses were the only two we could find. Teddy's has a GREAT bar tender who was friendly, knew her beers and remembered our "round". We were disappointed that the food trucks didn't show up until evening, but we were able to walk next door to BBs for po boys. A good experience overall. Be prepared to sit outside.

Spencer C.

Yelp
Place was dirty and bartenders were extremely rude. They could tell we weren't local and we were clearly ostracized for that. I do not recommend to anyone. There are plenty of other great bars in the area. Very disappointed with the experience - stay away!

Katy G.

Yelp
Only icehouse in Houston proper that is anything close to my Spring favorite Bareback. Beer is cold and bartender is friendly. Located on busy White Oak I'm glad my first visit was a rainy Saturday afternoon not crowded. Will be back to enjoy more cold brews in hotter weather! Good find.
google avatar

Alonso L.

Yelp
great place to hang out with friends, they have an awesome service, and the patrons are nice; good spot to spend a Sunday afternoon sipping up on a couple of gins & soda, also to watch a game

Robert B.

Yelp
Same great bar with improvements; better bathrooms, drafts, liquor and a food truck. Heck yeah! I'm happy to see it's open again.
