The 12 Best Restaurants In Virginia Beach

"This casual fried chicken spot is perfect for a quick lunch and is a short drive from the calmer beaches along the Chesapeake Bay, which tend to be less crowded than those on the Oceanfront. The chicken is exceptional, the mac and cheese shines with delicious grease, and it all goes down easily with the housemade lemonade. If you’re up for dessert, the Virginia peanut swirl ice cream is super creamy and made with local peanuts. " - anne cruz

BoBo’s Fine Chicken – A Must-Try in VA Beach Stopped by BoBo’s Fine Chicken off Shore Drive in Virginia Beach, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last visit! From the moment I walked in, Shelby set the tone with her warm hospitality—she’s truly the definition of customer service done right. The food? Absolutely incredible. The beet salad was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to start the meal. The homemade mac and cheese was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. But the real star was the fried chicken—perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and just downright delicious. To top it all off, the homemade limeade was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, making it a must-try. If you’re looking for top-notch comfort food with outstanding service, BoBo’s is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Google
Chicken taste similar to Gus's fried chicken except not spicy. Real thin, crispy chicken. Overall wing size was good. Grits were decent and their hot sauce was good. I'd come back again for sure.

Google
First time at BoBo’s and the customer service was top tier!!! The cashier and server or whoever brought the food to us were so kind and I would 100% recommend! Chicken was 10/10. The sides were good and filling. I’m definitely coming back!! Thank you for an excellent experience! They also have a drive thru. Only thing I wish I had was a biscuit. I’ll be coming earlier next time. We drove from Richmond, VA.

Google
Super friendly service and the food is fantastic. The fried chicken is crisp and juicy and the sides are delectable. We had the greens (kale and cabbage), mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The vinegary slim green beans under the chicken should not be missed. The first time we went the chicken came with super thin and tasty cornbread. The second time was a fluffy biscuit . We also had the limeade which was sweet but not too sweet; it was refreshing. This is a must stop place in Virginia Beach. Dog friendly too!!

Disappointed by the Hype – Great Chicken, Terrible Customer Service I had high hopes for Bobo’s Chicken after reading a glowing newspaper article not long ago. It raved about their “to-die-for” fried chicken and mashed potatoes, so when my daughter mentioned it again -reminded by a neighbor who used to work there - I figured it was time to try it for myself. She said it was on Shore Drive, which surprised me because I grew up around there and had never heard of Bobo’s. The place is definitely eclectic: there’s a big tractor outside, and a deer head and duck mounted inside. Quirky decor is fine, but the wall menu was hard to read if you’re a first-timer. Even worse, we were greeted by an unfriendly, clearly irritated woman—possibly a manager- who seemed totally put out by our presence. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt (maybe it was hot and the end of her shift), I mentioned it was our first visit in hopes she’d be more welcoming. Nope. She continued to be rude and dismissive while taking our order. She did tell us the mac & cheese was a house favorite. Personally, I didn’t care for it. The fried chicken, though? Actually pretty good - crispy and flavorful. But honestly, the bad service ruined the experience for me. If you’re planning to stop by, I suggest going with someone who’s been before so you’re not left trying to decode the menu while hoping you don’t get stuck with the same sour-faced manager. Good food can’t always save a bad vibe.

Google
I like it here. The food is really good. Sometimes I’ve gotten a tough piece of chicken. The Mac and cheese is the best in town. All the sauces are yummy. The staff is super friendly and always offer a treat to my dog. Get there early and try the breakfast fries (I recommend honey mustard to dip).

Google
Place is phenomenal through and through. Delicious food, friendly and helpful service, laid back atmosphere. I can personally recommend the tenders with the bobo sauce. The mac and cheese is some of the best I've ever had in my life. The limeade is spectacular and from my understanding, they offer free refills! Ice cream is homemade and also recommended. I will return to try more of the menu, without question

Google
The only fried chicken spot I go to, hands down the best fried chicken, paired perfectly with their cornbread and pickled green beans. Fresh limeade is a 10/10. Delicious ice cream, and sides. Definitely try their collards & potato salad when available.

Yelp
Bobo's is a classic. In my opinion, they have the best Mac and cheese in the area. I can always count on whoever is cheffing it up in the kitchen to make the cheesiest, gooiest, perfectly baked, beautifully combined, wonderfully flavored, luscious Mac and cheese. I usually pick up via drive thru, but there is an option to sit inside. It tends to be a little quiet on the inside so it's a nice spot to have a casual lunch or dinner date and still be able to hear one another in conversation. Their chicken is different than a traditional southern fried chicken. They braise it, so it might look a little different on the outside when it comes to color, but it is still crispy and delicious. If you get a combo, you usually get cornbread and a pickled vegetable inside the box of chicken. They have a good variety when it comes to the menu, they even have Virginia Peanut ice cream, which I do enjoy. Of course, my focus is on the Mac and cheese. I double it up in my combo since they come with 2 sides. And if I'm buying for a larger group of people to eat with, I'll happily get a quart. Don't sleep on their Mac and cheese! Lol Service has always been nice. Think "southern hospitality," they'll take care of you. Thanks, Bobo's for all these years of quality food! I can always count on Bobo's for a delicious meal

Yelp
I frequent Bobo's drive-through periodically, especially when I'm in the mood for their mac & cheese. I've never died on the inside so I can't give much of a review in terms of atmosphere or ambience. But the food, although probably different from what the average person would generally expect from a fried chicken restaurant, is very tasty and gives a sense of "homemade". The Chicken... Is typically fried to a darker color than most people expect (it is not burnt), and it has a softer crisp than your typical Popeyes, think more along the lines of a crispiness that's on par with KFC's original recipe . The Sides ... the number one side is their mac & cheese. It is very well seasoned much better than any mac & cheese you're going to find at any fast food, fast casual, or buffet style restaurant . Actually, it's probably better than my own homemade. Their other sides are also quite good. I really enjoy the sweet potato yams, and I've heard nothing but good things about the mashed potatoes and gravy and the vegetables that they serve. The Limeade....GET THE LIMEADE!!!! The lce Cream ... they have handmade ice cream that rotates the flavors. They usually have 2 to 3 flavors available at a time every ice cream. I've tried has been nice. I've had it as ice cream and milkshakes. Definitely a nice little treat to round out your meal.

Yelp
Pricey but good. $7for One chicken thigh. Can get really backed up In drive through. Ice cream is seasonal. Sorry they got rid of draught beer

Yelp
BoBo's has been on my list for a long time. I finally got to go and get some take out. Next time I want to sit inside. Friendly people, She even gave me recommendations. I ordered exactly what she told me to. It was their fried chicken. Very good .

Yelp
Local as can be...Bobo's serves up locally sourced fried chicken and sides that are authentic to this part of the South. The chicken is meaty and moist whether on the bone or as the 5-piece tender meal. Mac & Cheese and collard greens are outstanding. They also serve up livers& gizzards...which is worth trying if you've never had. Sweet tea is on point as is the 'bobo's sauce'. There are also a variety of homemade ice creams. Bobo's used to be considered pricey, but as prices rose elsewhere, Bobo's stayed pretty much the same, so it's not too bad for a family of 4.

Yelp
To be honest, I did not expect to love this place quite so much. Location is convenient and really cute with plenty of parking. I haven't experienced the drive thru, but love that it is another option. The service was incredible. So welcoming, friendly and gave great recommendations. I ordered the chicken strip meal which was delicious. I got the stewed okra and the Brunswick Stew as my sides and honestly, they were the star of the show. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
The chicken was 5/5 all day. The customer service 5/5 for sure! Leah is super friendly :). The side dishes just ok, nothing to call home about. Next time, a ton of chicken only! We will be back...

Yelp
Visited this little gem for the 1st time today. The chicken(which is without antibiotics or steroids) was flavorful, tender and juicy. Along with the chicken I had mac and cheese which was very tasty, greens which were amazing with the house vinegar, Coleslaw which waa chopped to perfection with just enough mayo and vinegar. The staff were very attentive, informative about their menu and absolutely friendly. For someone who just popped in here based off of seeing it while driving by I couldn't believe what I had been missing on my trips to VB. What a delicious treat for my lunch meal. Great job to the staff at Bo Bos!!

Yelp
Food was delicious, not heavy on the stomach. Very friendly and greets upon entering in the restaurant. Everything was also well priced. I will be coming back.

Yelp
The people are fantastic. The fried chicken is a little different - the 48 hour brining process makes the chicken darker than normal, but it's not burned and the chicken is very moist and juicy. The sides are great. White beans and ham and mac and cheese are both top notch. The service is fantastic. Very friendly, patient, and helpful. We'll be back

Yelp
Great chicken Great Mac and cheese Service was amazing I wished I lived closer We will definitely go anytime we're in the area

Yelp
I will say this... I don't know anywhere else where I can get this kind of quality experience at a restaurant with a drive-thru. Bo Bo's is killing it. Crispy fried chicken, decent Mac and cheese, greens and some of the most satisfying slaw I've ever had. The service is spectacular. Drive-thru experience is better than I expected. Fresh squeezed lemonade is done right. They have a couple beer options too, which I love. French donuts are hella good. Bo Bo's is my new spot when I'm in the mood for some comfort food.

Yelp
BoBo's Chicken is a restaurant that I discovered during my time in Virginia Beach, and even though I moved away two years ago, I just found myself fantasizing about their delicious food. My first visit to BoBo's was just okay, but then I came back and tried their breakfast fries. I truly hope they still make these because they were absolutely awesome. I continued to visit throughout 2020, thanks to the convenience of their drive-through. Funny enough, one of the things that kept me coming back was their gizzards. I guess I really am a Southern girl at heart. Although it may be a while until I'm back in the BoBo's drive-through, I truly hope that day will come again when I visit the area. If you're looking for delicious food, BoBo's Chicken is definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Stopped here on my way back home after my dentist appointment on 04/25/23. I have only had their breakfast here once before and it was so good and decided I needed to get it again. I got the chicken biscuit, cheddar baked grits and a glazed french donut. The biscuit was so tender and the chicken seasoned just right and the baked grits were so creamy and perfect. The french donut was very light and airy. Different from other donuts I have had. I would definitely get that again. I will definitely have to go back again for all that yummy breakfast goodness!

April M.

Yelp
I drove from Hampton to Virginia Beach and I was NOT disappointed. I ordered a 2 piece with sides of Mac-n- cheese (cheesy), yams and greens.. exquisite!! The food came out fresh, hot, and SEASONED... it tastes home made..The atmosphere is clean and the service is top notch.. everyone was so friendly and welcoming ...actually checking on us several times. I just can't say enough about this hidden gem.. y'all better come get some...I will definitely be back soon!! 10/10

Yelp
This place has great food!!! It delicious chicken is good. Sides are amazing let me tell you!!! This is a go to spot!!! It's a must!!!
google avatar

Mi Chelle M.

Yelp
This chicken salad with pimento cheese was not good. It's big clumps of chicken and clumps of cold pimento cheese. Just not good. This is probably the worst thing that I ever had there. Usually great food.
google avatar

Yelp
After visiting Bobo's, when I think of fried chicken, this place immediately springs to mind. The chicken pieces are meaty and tender; juicy without being greasy. The sides are perfectly portioned AND seasoned. The staff is always friendly. Their homemade ice cream is mire like gelato; light and creamy. Damn! Now, I want some fried chicken!
google avatar

Yelp
Found this place after an instagram review. Rode pass it twice before I found it (my crazy self paid it no mind). I didn't know what to get. The young lady at the drive was so sweet and patient. Recommended a few items and finally I figured it out. Never thought I'd be addicted to greens!!! It's enough to make you drink the juice after they're gone. The tenders were so juicy and they go perfectly with their house made dipping sauces. Helpful friendly customer service. Definitely will be returning
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
That was the best fried chicken I've ever had in a restaurant. The sides were phenomenal. I drank the liquid from the cucumber and tomato salad, it was so light and refreshing. The greens were amazing. The mac and cheese was delicious. Oh, and the biscuit that came with the chicken meal was perfect. Sam was super helpful and explained every single thing on the menu! I'll definitely be hitting the drive thru for breakfast and hopefully the ice cream freezer will be back up and running so we can try the homemade ice cream and especially the BoBoccino! Toddler loved the tenders!

Yelp
I have such a high expectation for this restaurant because of the name, Bo Bo's FINE Chicken Restaurant. I went in 9:45am when i learned that they ooen at 10am so we just went drive thru. We ordered 2 chicken in a biscuit with egg and cheese sandwich. The order taker asked us what cheese we like. We said, white americian. Asked us how ee like our egg, we said, scrambled. It's fancy that we have choices for our egg and cheese for our sandwich. We took the sandwich at Bayville Park. When we opened our sandwich, we have chicken in a biscuit with egg (hard sunny side up) and cheddar american cheese (not white). What a waste of time asking how our eggs be and what kind of cheese when they will put whatever they want. I forgot to take picture because i was upset. In fairness, the coffee was done right with cream and sugar.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
The Mac n cheese is better than my Nanna Sorry not sorry. Chicken is hot and fresh every single time. This is my go to Chicken Way better than the commercial chains
google avatar

Trish K.

Yelp
Did a breakfast pick up here one morning. It was really good! I didn't realize they also have donuts. They aren't overly sweet and not in a bad way but, they're a little on the savory side I decided to try just a chicken biscuit. It was really good! I really like the home fries as well. It really wasn't a tater tot but just deep fried tiny pieces of potato that are flat really, give them a whirl! I really enjoyed them. To take credit card. So that was helpful. What I didn't like is, they don't open for breakfast! It's drive-thru only! Would have been nice to know that before I tried to pull in the doors a couple times. I would come back here!
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
I swear this place has been a stable in our lives since Covid. We ate takeout from this restaurant probably weekly. So much so they recognized our order when we called. Now we can dine in- food is always good. Their seasonal ice creams are amazing too.
google avatar

Susanne M.

Yelp
After driving by this place twice a day since it's been open and not giving it a glance, despite a couple of co-workers telling me how good it was, I finally drove through after working late. Got the 5-pc chx strip meal with 2 sides: mashed potatoes & gravy and pasta salad. Chicken was crispy not greasy and the Bobo sauce was flavorful but not too spicy. Mashed potatoes creamy. I am picky about pasta salad but this was chilled and had crispy green beans with it. Nice flavor, not too goopy.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
The staff is so friendly! The inside has a retro country store vibe. This is some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. You have to get the Bo Bo's sauce for the chicken. Don't skip out on getting cornbread or a biscuit. Lastly, if you check in through yelp you get a free small ice cream Nonetheless you will be having one heck of a good nap after eating here, but it's worth the stop. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Daegan S.

Yelp
The best fried chicken I've ever had. And that's saying something. Expensive? To me it is but, it's oh so good and know J know why. Local produce and poultry. Small, organic birds make the best chicken and that's not a lie. Do NOT freak out when you get your order and see the dark color of your chicken!!' It's not burnt I promise! Whatever they do to baby makes it a darker shade of golden brown than your run-of-the-mill chicken conglomerate. Maybe the cast iron pans they use to fry each order? So it does take a bit longer but, worth it. Everything is better than your Grandmother makes. Sorry but I said it. From the green beans & biscuits to the home made, cantaloupe (when in season & flavors change daily but the usual suspects stick around) ice cream. They are closed on Sundays like others and it seems that's typically when I'm craving a good Sunday dinner and when I can usually get to it so, I can't make it as often as I'd like. It's a yes for me!
google avatar

Shay J.

Yelp
I saw pics on Facebook about this place and it looked inviting, so I made the trek...the thin biscuits they make was the real draw for me--that is EXACTLY the way my grandmother used to make them. Now Shore Drive is not close, so it was a journey to get here. And my mouth was set for that biscuit. In the drive thru I learned biscuits are ONLY made them for breakfast. ARGHHHHHH!!! I naturally assumed the biscuit went WITH the chicken. Isn't that the natural progression of things? Peanut butter and jelly; rice and gravy; and chicken and biscuits? I was crestfallen. Welp, it's chicken and corn bread here. So I prepared myself for corn bread. The cashier comes to The window and informed me THEY DO HAVE BISCUITS! This is how it works: Bobo's opens at 6:30AM and they have biscuits for breakfast. They keep selling them until they sell out. When I came for lunch, there were still biscuits available and they were EVERYTHING I thought they would be! They were actually AS GOOD as my grandmother's biscuits. Wow!! My husband had the dipped chicken and he was so impressed. Him being a country boy from NC, be swears the BEST chicken is dipped chicken. And according to him, Frankie's in Salisbury, NC is the ONLY place On the entire PLANET that dips it didn't... Until he tried Bobo's. We may never return to NC again--dipped chicken is in VA, y'all and it's so soooooooo good!! Pair it with that biscuit and get a side of their mac and cheese. You will look to the heavens for this food has to be made by angels!!
google avatar

Sylvie C.

Yelp
I'm accustomed to eating crunchy crispy chicken sandwiches and normally prefer them that way. However, I am willing to make an exception with Bobo's because of the exceptionally nice customer service and friendliness towards my dogs! The first attempt we made to visit failed because the store hours were incorrect and we were in a rush to go home in Maryland. Thanks to our great pal, J David H., our cognition was completely primed and eager to have a bite of their food no matter what it takes LOL So we went back two weeks later during our visit and it was totally worth it! I am hopeful to get a hand on their breakfast sandwich the next time we're back in town. I can only imagine what a fantastic combo it'd be to eat their sandwich + the Bagel Baker's iced coffee right by the sea. I can't wait to come back again in the very near future!!
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in we were greeted and served with such friendliness. The staff here is top notch, from the woman who took our order (didn't get her name but she has a daughter at Virginia Tech. Go Hokies) to the young man filling our drinks to the guys that delivered our food. Everyone is so kind and friendly! The restaurant is extremely clean and the condiment area stocked and tidy! Now for the food.. OMG!! Such deliciousness! Perfectly cooked chicken flavored right and CRISPY!! Probably the best Mac n cheese anywhere and the Brunswick stew was amazing. This will be a must have anytime we are in the area!
google avatar

Juliane C.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant based on the reviews, and were so glad we did! The food was delicious, including the ice cream! Everyone was so friendly and the restaurant was exceptionally clean, including the bathrooms! We'd definitely come back!

Kylee A.

Yelp
We have been coming here for over 2 years now!! It was such a hidden gem with very reasonable prices. We always love the service and you directly see who you are impacting and they are always just way too kind. The food is yummy, chicken tenders get me every time and my man loooves the Brunswick stew. The ambiance is cute, we always sit in and enjoy the experience.
google avatar

Totty R.

Yelp
Great little drive thru for some good chicken and sides. The staff here are fast and friendly!
google avatar

Alysson G.

Yelp
Food is very seasoned the chicken is so delicious and perfectly cooked. The batter/crust is like nothing I ever tasted. And I love the pepper vinegar and hot sauce!
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
The menu has great southern food options from the fried chicken to chicken salad sandwiches to the potato salad and Mac and cheese. They have healthier options as well for those who like to include or only eat vegetables. Very high quality ice cream and they stick to a few conventional flavors. The limeade and lemonade taste great! They have a drive thru when you're in a hurry. However, the inside is very clean and the staff provides great service. This is my first visit but I doubt it will be my last!
google avatar

Gloria B.

Yelp
Bo Bo's Fine Chicken is excellent. A very different but delicious chicken. So crispy and juicy. The Customer Service excellent. I call to ask some questions before our Granddaughter ordered and brought our meals to us. The black-eyed peas and stewed tomatoes so very good. Candied yams great and corn bread reminded me of my Grandmothers. My husband had Brunswick Stew. He liked it a lot. We had fresh Limeade and Lemonade. For desert delicious creamy and chocolatey ice cream. Everything is made on site and organic and fresh. Check them out on line. You will want to go there. Can't wait to have breakfast there. Wish we had one closer to us. A good drive but worth it.
google avatar

Ara A.

Yelp
So this place has been on my list for some time and I finally had the opportunity to try it. I was intrigued by the untraditional fried chicken batter and look of the chicken. Appears to be a wet chicken batter which you don't see too often. Went through the drive through which was very fast with great service honestly. We ordered the 12 piece platter which is a whole chicken with the bobo sauce. In my opinion the chicken is good well seasoned but I definitely prefer the traditional dry chicken batter. This was very crispy and crunchy but different. Don't forget to check in for the free scoop of ice cream, I went with vanilla.

Harry R.

Yelp
Wow.. fantastic chicken, moist, flavorful with great crispy breading. Outstanding sides.. rice and gravy is great! Kids loved the Mac and cheese. Butter beans were outstanding. Outstanding help, kind, courteous.. just a super place to try if you're in Virginia Beach.. highly recommend!
google avatar

Dee P.

Yelp
I love their "weird" pudding-like cornbread (spoon bread). Their chicken is delicious and stands out in an area saturated with chicken joints. The macaroni and cheese is amazingly cheesy and has just the right mix of little "burnt" pieces. I don't remember how I found this place, but I'm glad I did. It is a little pricey compared to other chicken places, but you're paying for a better quality of food, seemingly made with love. The location is a little crazy, though, and easy to miss on such a busy road.
google avatar

Carol S.

Yelp
Don't forget about Bobo's if you don't want to make New Years traditional dishes yourself. They have awesome Hoppin John, Black Eyed Peas with Tomatoes & Collard Greens that you can purchase in quart containers. There are also really interesting Corn Bread squares aaaannndd......Egg Nog Ice Cream. Yummy!! Since Covid the dining room is closed. You can only do take out at the drive through. There were long lines on the day of New Years Eve. But they promised to still have plenty available on New Years Day. Their sides aren't cheap. But they're worth every penny. Thank you Bobo's for a great meal!!
google avatar

Alison T.

Yelp
Love Bobo's. The chicken salad is amazing, the dipped fried chicken is unique and delicious, the Mac and cheese is the best, and their chicken sandwich with pimento is out of this world. The homemade limeade and lemonade are delicious. They lose one star because the local coffee supplier they use is bitter in my opinion and the need an additional potato option for their sides. Love their breakfast as well, today I had the ham and egg with pimento, yum'
google avatar

Dean K.

Yelp
Great fried chicken and great sides! friendly staff and great prices! Also Love their breakfast biscuits!
google avatar

Jose B.

Yelp
Possibly the best fried chicken on the east coast. Ordered the family meal with mash and gravy, green, slaw and macncheese with the biscuits. Holy molly what a delight. The cashier was sweet and very knowledgeable of her menu, the server that brought the food out told us chicken was just fried that it was hot and indeed it was. Very clean and nice retro looking ambiance diner.

Yelp
A friend told me about this place and I would eat this everyday if I could! Service is top notch and the food is fire, feels like I'm at somebody's meemaws.

Yelp
Bobo's Fine chicken is really FINE! I ordered the 2 piece dark meat meal with mac n cheese and Brunswick Stew for side, the bobo sauce and dill ranch. Although I'm not a big fan of the sides, their fried chicken is just too good for me to take any star off! The service is also great. I told the cashier it's my first time here so I'm still looking, and he made sure if I have any question I can ask me. There are so much more space and tables than it seems so don't worry if you have a group of people/family. Although it is a restaurant, it feels like a museum, in a good way. The chicken. The skin is crispy like chips, and the batter has a very unique taste. I love dark meat because they are jucier, but boi aren't they juicy! After that delicious crispy skin was devoured, I touched the meat and it just came off the bone! The meat is very moist and juicy. I tried to dip it in the dill ranch sauce, and that was probably my favorite ranch I've had. First of all I like sauce that are not sweet but tangy, and this ranch is exactly what it is, tangy and creamy. There's also a hint of lemon so it's very refreshing. However, the Bobo's sauce is somewhat a disappointment. Although the cashier said it's like thousand island, I think it's just a mixed of ketchup and mayo, which was not some special sauce. I'm not a fan of the sides because the mac n cheese is powder-ish for some reason and it's dry. The Brunswick Stew is not bad but the pork flavor is too strong for me, but I'm sure it's just personal preference. The chicken also comes with a corn "bread" and it's not bad but it's thin like a cardboard. I want them cornbread thicc tho. Overall, the chicken lived up to its name cuz they're real fine, but the sides are meh. I'd definitely come back for their dark meat, or try the tenders and sandwich. I'd still give the other sides a try, hopefully they can surprise me!

Yelp
So at this point I've probably eaten at this place 30 times and there has never been a time it wasnt amazing. I found out about Bobos during the pandemic when the "who has the best chicken sandwich" war was going on. I have to say this place has the best. Better than chick fil a. I always get the same thing: Chicken sandwich, mac and cheese and a limeade. The chicken sandwich is always hot and delicious and their sauce is so good. I dont even like pickles but I LOVE theirs. The mac? Bomb. It's not that liquidy Stouffers-tasting stuff it's the real deal. Limeade? Yummy! Fresh squeezed and good sweetness level. I went recently and they added sweet potatoes to the menu, which were really good too. I also saw donuts but they had run out!:( anyway I always recommend this place, give it a try!

Yelp
Pretty bad customer service. I specifically went here for a peach milkshake but figured it was a seasonal flavor and they may not have. They tell me they have a blood orange cream sicle when I ask "what flavor seasonal MILKSHAKES do you have?" I get to window and get a cup of ice cream. I ask the older woman in the window "um I ordered a milkshake" and she says with a scowl on her face "no you ordered a cup of ice cream" like I don't know what I specifically came here for and was very clear on ordering. After the rude attitude I get for getting the wrong item (that I paid for) I have been here 100 times and the food is always amazing. Service typically is as well. Today was not the case. Edited***** and I just get home and there is no mac and cheese in the bag. What a total disappointment after driving 26 minutes to get my kid a milkshake and Mac and cheese and to get home and have neither. So mad

Yelp
We went to order takeout after noting an all dark meal of 2 pieces on the menu and calling to determine if we could order 12 pieces of all dark meat and were told yes. When we got there and ordered the price was more than 6 times the meal item, despite the platters otherwise being significantly priced lower--and at least 50% more than charged at similar places in Dallas. Despite the surprise because we had young children we ordered and also got some chicken tenders. They were out of mashed potatoes at 5:30 so we ordered rice. The dark meat pieces were cooked to order and were seriously overcooked and dry. The chicken tenders were the antithesis of crispy. The rice was way overcooked and mushed into a solid mass. Needless to say we will never return.

Yelp
Saturday night, around 8 pm, and our adult daughter decided that she had a taste for ice cream -- and remembered that she had seen that Bo Bo's sells homemade ice cream. She rushed over there, hoping that they'd still be open. (They would be until 9 pm). She called us, asking what flavors we wanted. They offered chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter twist, and coffee, on this particular day in early October. Single scoop: $4. Double: $5, in a cup. I got the chocolate. My husband, the peanut butter twist, and our daughter got a chocolate milkshake. Overall, the ice creams were tasty, smooth, and sweet, but we all liked the peanut one the best. I found the chocolate one to be a bit bitter, more akin to a dark chocolate rather than a milk chocolate. They're also a bit expensive for the quantity given -- though they do seem to use quality ingredients.
