"The new Portland location of Bob's Clam Hut is less of a “hut” than the Kittery original. But big windows, lots of natural light, and counter service make it a fairly straightforward, easy-going dining experience. The lobster roll, served New England style with mayo in two different sizes (regular and jumbo), is simple and well-made. Enjoy it with a side of fried clams. If you're looking for a non-seafood choice (you're at a place called clam hut, but you do you), the cheeseburger is one of the menu's hidden gems." - Joe Ricchio

Great spot for fried seafood. Nothing unique or special, but all around solid food with friendly wait staff, clean dining areas, and nice outdoor seating for summer.

I visited Bob’s while on the Portland Maine Foodie Tour. It was one of my favorite stops. The employees were great and friendly. You could tell that’s how they genuinely are and not because they had us in there. The clam chowder was the best! I don’t like a super thick chowder and there’s had great consistency. I also loved that everything we used could be recycled or composted.

Nice people. Great food. I got the jumbo Lobster hot with butter sauce and shared with my wife. Sister-in-law got the scallop roll. All very good.

Came here for a snack before hitting up Eventide. It's a small shack, or should I say "hut", with often design and a huge menu, filled with every seafood option you could want. We shared the seafood basket junior with fried clam strips, whole clams, and fish (plus fries of course). It was the perfect size for the three of us to have a snack and the local hot sauce (Lost Woods) and tartar sauce made for some yummy dipping. This food was clearly freshly fried. Highly recommend a visit.

So far... my pallet says best fried seafood in Portland. Glad they decided to jump into the Portland food scene. Nice decor and a good patio for delicious fried food and the mess of the sauces and slaw. Dogs can join you outside and drool as you enjoy your busy intersection people watching and fried food adventure. 4 stars because every fried seafood place is always over priced.... But you are full when you are done here.... Just wish my wallet was heavier as well... Sweet potato fries and sauces are all a must... Friendly quick to it staff also add to the enjoyment of your Maine seafood adventure.

We've visiting here all week from Dallas. Tried lobster rolls from Elsworth to Portland. This is the best yet! Fresh, loaded with lobster and the whole belly fried clams were great too! The staff was friendly and help to explain the menu. Everything cooked fresh! Wish we found Bob's first!!!

High quality fried seafood. Pricey but worth it. Great friendly staff and service. Clean. Have a beer with your meal on their outside deck.

Great food and very friendly staff. I love it that they have healthy food options. Everything is made fresh on the spot. A good place to grab a bite on the go.
