Bartenders are fantastic and attentive. Food is non existent here but there is free popcorn. Good prices on alcohol and beer. Doorman/bouncer can seem like an ass but he's just doing his job, show him respect and you won't have any problems. Overall good place to go when you have nowhere else to be.

Im on a tour of all the nightlife in elk grove, I stopped by boobs for the first time in 1o years. First of all, Michelle (bartender) is the nicest person you'll meet all day. 3 pool tables and a dart board... music is cool. Crypto isn't welcome here, cash only! I only wish I had a Flintstones emoji 🦴 prices are decent tho!

I've always known Bob's Club to be a biker bar but my friend was looking for dives so I said let's go there. It is bigger than it looks from outside and the atmosphere is down home. No Elk Grove history on the walls but it has it's sarcastic signs on the wall. But it's staff is friendly and the clientele are also. I happened to go on the night of free tacos supplied by Fiesta Mexican foods and they were delicious. Good food, good drinks, great staff make this establishment a place to return to.

April, Allen and Tony gave excellent customer service and all three make amazing drinks. My and husband favorite spot

Cash only. Decent dive bar with a couple pool tables and a dart board. Outside patio as well. No draft beer. But bartenders are great.

I love coming to this establishment. They're so sweet here and the price of their drinks is so worth it . I love using the touch tunes. Ive come here since I turned 21. Tonight Sam served my friends and I. He was unbelievably kind. I really like his energy, attitude, and professionalism. Go Bobs!

Parking lot is a tad small and could be bothersome on a busy night. They often have a bouncer on weekends but the bartender will still ask for your ID. They have 3 pool tables but work on a winner plays next system. They have a popcorn machine to grab some popcorn but honestly it gives me the ick since it's a free for all. There is often times pizza on the back table for the patrons also. I have realized this is a locals only type of bar and often times feel out of place since we aren't regulars. This also transfers over into the service too. Getting a drink could take 15 + minutes because they are skipping over you for the regulars.

Went to Bob's today and had the best time! Delicious drinks are reasonably priced, fun vibe, jukebox, and billiards. The bartender gave great service, was helpful and friendly. This small local business accepts cash only, ATM nearby. Shhh, don't tell anyone else this, but, they provide free delicious pizza and wings on Wednesdays at 5pm. See you there!

I'd say more like a 3.5 but I'll round up. I've been to Bobs a few times, my first few times were bad to be honest. It was empty and we still couldn't get service to save our lives so we stopped coming. When a friend recently said to meet her here, my husband and I kinda went ehhhh but decided to go anyways. It was a lot more packed than I had ever seen it any other time we had been so I thought for sure we'd never get our drinks, but service wasn't that bad. Beers are cheap, $5 for a corona. What I am not a fan of, is the pool table system. We wanted to come play a few rounds of pool but here, you have to put your name on a list for a table. They have 3 tables and each one has its own list. You play the winner so no playing with a group of friends, you're stuck playing whoever wins and if you lose, you can put your name on the list again. Each game is $2 also and of course the new opponent is the one paying. Most people playing were very good and so it wasn't fun playing with people not on the same playing field as yourself. The regulars also skipped the names on the board which was irritating. Overall it's not bad, much better than it was a few years ago but I mainly come to bars to have a few beers and play pool with my husband, which we couldn't do here.

I want to say the person who commented on they are hiding something! That's a crazy comment and you must not own or ever owned your own restaurant or bar. Sad!! Or ever enjoyed a enjoyable place for a cheap cocktail But In order for you to enjoy a cheap beverage where other places are charging double is to not to accept credit card which they charge so much just to have to machine inside your establishment. Plus charge you for charging the customer and also charge you monthly so appreciate a good dive bar and shut the mouth! Sorry I'm a little feisty tonight!! cheers

Shady spot cash only they are hiding something. Nothing special about this place, no food and bathrooms atrocious 'beware'. No parking and tiny enough for 8 people max

After a long hiatus we dropped in to this local dive bar. Prices are right. It well dressed up from years past. Furnishings are very nice and on this day very clean. Admittedly it was late afternoon on a Saturday. Then again most dive bars never really clean up at all. Free popcorn was tasty and fresh. This place is CASH only. Your cards are not welcomed. There's an ATM inside if you lack adequate coin. Bartenders are as friendly as ever.

Great place to visit. Food truck of varying foods on the back patio. Super duper friendly staff. Every bartender introduced themselves proactively. Just a great experience we will for sure add Bobs to our regular rotation. Allen was awesome, very friendly and accommodating.

Love the atmosphere this place have. Staffs are friendly and the patrons are pretty chill. They do check ID's and make sure it's not expired. I overheard the bartender saying that she turned down someone who's ID unknowingly expired 3 days after their birthday. I went here today and they were offering free hotdogs and chips, which was very nice of them. *CASH ONLY* but they have an ATM inside. There's outdoor seating as well if you want to smoke or get fresh air. Parking can be tough but that's what Uber's for.

Stopped in here when visiting friends who live in Elk Grove. So glad we did. April was very friendly and made great bloody marys and a great ginger ale. Nice vibe, great drinks & super friendly service.

I haven't been to this bar in over 5 years and honestly it has turned sooo so ghetto. I was shocked looking around. I felt so uncomfortable and wanted to get out of there. There were girls at the bar purposely trying to start arguments with other patrons and it was just all around not a good bar vibe. Makes me sad cause Bob's used to be a chill place I'd go to frequently with friends.

After leaving Babe lounge nearby, my bestie and I decided to stop at Bob's. It was packed, and the vibe was cool. Unfortunately, Tony was not. After eating the complimentary popcorn, we asked for water, and Tony told us that since we weren't supporting the bar by buying drinks, he would not give us water. We paid our cover charge to get into the establishment like everyone else . We decided to just leave. I have never been denied water in my life and would never deny anyone water. Do better, Tony.

Won't ever go here again. I agree with other comments that they run a very judge mental staff. Other words have been used but i'll stick with "judge mental". They basically cater to their "normal" clients and new people or outsiders are not welcome. God forbid you even win at pool or they'll ask you to leave. And don't ask for another drink before they ask you because then your judged for making the bartenders work. Don't waste your money here. Plenty of other options around Elk Grove. Their motto "cleanliness and hospitality always" is a joke

I've been going here since I turn 21 years old! Gotta love the owner Vito and the bartender Vito Junior! Great guys! I have love for my favorite bartender Tony as well! I love how they keep the drinks reasonably priced! It's just a great local bar to hang out with and you always run into somebody you know there, especially if you grew up in the town of elk Grove! There's rarely any problems here as well! I just wish they would take off all the rap music off the jukebox! Come on Vito... Help me out with that, lol!

Always a good time. We been to bobs a handful of times since moving to the area. The bartenders are always friendly as well as the other folks in the bar. They have popcorn to snack on which is awesome and the prices are great! I love a cheap beer and a dive bar!

The bartenders are really nice and attentive. We had a retirement party for my step mom here and they were beyond helpful. They have tacos on Thursday's and Sunday's in the back. They are delicious with their spicy salsa. I've lived in EG my whole life and this was my first time going into Bobs. A super dive bar with older regulars. Cheapest drinks I've ever bought at any bar. They have several selections of beers in bottles. They offer a full bar at the best prices. The Bloody Mary I had was delicious. They have pool tables, darts, a jukebox, outside patio with heaters.

This place has a nice little charm to it. Walked in there and saw friendly faces. The drinks were reasonably priced and the bartender was also very nice and had a good sense of humor. The pool table was available but the Jukebox didn't work and stole my money. I'm sure they fixed it now though. I definitely plan on coming back with my buddies when I get the chance. I'm more attracted to these places than the lewd and vile nightclubs most folk go to. This place is more calm and friendly than downtown Sacramento.

0 stars if i could just for service and watered down drinks, ive gone into this bar 3 times and all 3 times the female blonde bartender was rude as hell, as well as ignoring most of the other customers that were trying to order, just to go to the other side of the bar counter to flirt with a couple lumberjacks, place also got pricey drinks and other staff is no where to be found, some folks might say oh you just went on a bad day, i went on a tuesday night, friday night and saturday night and all 3 times it was crappy service. Atp yall just need to hire a different bartender, im already knowing im definitely not the first to complain about her service

Best , hardest working bartender that I've seen in 15 yrs, full pours, friendly service , faster than flash behind the bar , smart ( cash only in her head) , knowledgeable with the locals, attentive to special orders, smiles , Literally never stopped moving , not even a second ! This bar rocks because of you!

My husband and I began coming here in 2021 after being told my multiple people how awesome the staff are and how much they like it. The first couple of times we came around noon-afternoon because that was our only chance to, and we luckily always had Michelle. She is just a real happy lady and makes us and everyone feel so welcome. She is fully capable of making mixed drinks and is willing to try new recipes for those who want them which I LOVED! The owner, when he is there, usually goes around, says hi and makes sure everyone is happy. We also went on a Saturday night once and had I believe her name was April and she was also very nice, helpful, and worked hard to tend to the many folks that were there that night. It is in Elk Grove, a highly multicultural city, so the crowds there can change the longer you are there.

BEST BAR IN TOWN! Always visit on Thursday's when Lexi and Tony are there. Literally the best bartenders you could ask for! They always make it a friendly, enjoyable environment. They take care of their customers as if they were family. Wouldn't even think about visiting another bar as long as they're here!

I found this place from a Pinball Machine site, since Pinball is hard to come by in Elk Grove! The bartenders are very customer focused and the place is kept clean. The building is old, but that gives it a rather unique feel! Definitely is a place for all walks of life to go, which I find to be very inclusive and inviting. Hope they get more Pinball Machines!

It was a cold winter Thursday. I woke up and decided that I needed some popcorn and the movie theaters seemed like an impossible task. I arrived at Bobs Bar, a bit uneasy since I wasn't a pool player by trade but I was open opportunity to learn billiards. I was met by the Bartender "Heidi" and she was a nice lady, type of lady you take on a date and hold her hand. She started popping me some popcorn and I was immediately impressed by how well the popcorn taste. You would think the movie theaters had it together when it came to the art of popcorn, but no ,your wrong. Bobs has the best popcorn ever!!! Marry me Heidi!!!

Tony is an amazing bartender. I come all the time throughout the week and have had no issues. Tried to go in tonight for a drink and was turned away due to another bartender that was working. Would love if the owner of this place could contact me to discuss this situation privately.

Lexi is the hardest working best bartender I have met. She fills the bar with her positivity and professionalism. I feel welcomed every time she is working. I love getting a drink at Bob's.

I was with a group of friends and the owner told us to stop dancing. I was with my party and enjoying ourselves. We were told to leave for no reason.

Every town needs a good dive. Taking into account the unusually large crowd on a busy night after the Elk Grove beer fest, I still wasn't that impressed by Bob's as compared to the many, many other dives I've visited in the Sacramento area. Let's start with the layout. Unless you are coming in when a bar stool is free, it's awkward finding a place to settle in. A couple big round tables are across from the bar near the entrance making for a narrow path between the front and back and annoyed customers who don't want to share the tables or don't want you breathing down their necks while they sit at the bar. Venture further in and you'll be inconveniencing the pool players instead, or getting in the way of those seeking out popcorn from the popcorn machine. There was space on the back patio that night, but the cacophony of smokers made me feel like I was in an iron lung. Still, the drinks were stiff and the employees were patient with the crowd. I'll have to post an update when I have the occasion to return on a less busy day.

Bob's is a dive, but it is also clean, cozy and comfortable (...and safe), which can't always be said for bars that fall in that category. Or many other bars in EG. Cash only (ATM inside). No beer on tap but plenty in bottles, and plenty of liquor choices for cocktails. Three pool tables, darts, *free* popcorn, an outdoor patio area...plus chips, peanuts and even burritos for sale. I get hungry! I kind of can't stand it when bars have nothing to eat, even if it's just a bag of chips. Large parking lot as well.

Found this place on yelp! Bartender: Kale was funny and cool. Sarcastic but I can hang. Made my friends and I laugh.. So I can't hate. Cool guy from our first impression, made us feel welcomed. Location: downtown Elk Grove. Description: looks dirty and run down. Has that older looking bar feel, like it's not doing so well and about to shut down soon, but I think that's what makes the place the way it is. It's clean and organized though (if that makes sense). Bathroom was clean. People are friendly. It was kinda dead when we went though. They also have darts and a jukebox thingy majiggy that looks very modern and doesn't really match the rest of the decor. Music: it was mainly country and alternative rock. I would go back if I was on the neighborhood.

Words can't even begin to describe how much I love this bar but I'll give it my best shot. For anyone reading this Bobs Club is the ONLY place you should be drinking in Elk Grove. I hardly drink anymore but whenever I do Bobs is always the place I go without a doubt. The service is beyond exceptional and all the bartenders are great but in my opinion Lexi is the best. This bar is cash only but it's not a big deal really because they have an ATM inside the bar next to the jukebox. Whether I walk into this bar happy or sad I'll always leave felling good, the regulars are great conversationalist. I don't think I have ever had a bad experience here. Complimentary popcorn is always available and there are certain days where they will have other food such as pizza,tacos and nachos. So come into the oldest establishment in Elk Grove and experience it yourself!

This is a great standard bar. A great place to show up (regardless of attire) and enjoy a drink. Pool tables and a feel-good vibe. Has a backyard area for those that enjoy it. This is a cash only bar but they have an ATM for those that show up unprepared or unaware. I recommend this place to anyone The is just looking for an uncomplicated drink at a place where all types drop by to do the same.

Lexi and tony are the best bartenders ever! Ever since me and my friends started coming here we've gotten nothing but excellent customer service. You guys are the most amazing people in the world!!!

A great local watering hole! This cash only bar is friendly and fun. With decent priced drinks, good service, pinball, pool tables and oh course a jukebox. If you enjoy drive bar then this is your place.

Bob's Club, is a cool place to get some beers, and other cocktails, to go play some pool, by yourself or with someone, listen to some great tunes/music on that awesome jukebox thing, play some darts, the electronic shuffleboard/bowling game is fun to play. The Popcorn is Free and Delicious, Lexi and Tony are the bartenders who are usually working there whenever I do go and get my Bob's Club fix, Both of them have been awesome, great, and are nice and cool people.

Place looks weak!, if you want cheap alcohol I guess this would be for you, I personally think the crowd make a good bar, I didn't see any here.

Land mark venue get there they're moving soon just across the street. Great neighborhood bar play pool, darts have some good drinks with a great friendly atmosphere. There's and ATM on site but just bring cash . No over priced just right. Just me but tip your Bartender.

I found Bob's on a random night out with my uncle months ago and really have kind of never left. It's a chill pool hall with good cheap beer and even better company. Lexi, a pretty awesome bartender, does a wonderful job of not only going above and beyond normal service, but being genuine with her treatment of us patrons. Sure it's cash only, with an atm present, but I'll take it for the company.

Day drinking for whatever our reasons may be.. Bartendress Michelle was aye okay ..she exhibits the lovely down home feel we love on Old Elk Grove. Hood Stuff Ms. Michelle!
