I currently live in Pennsylvania and used to live in Solana Beach (6 years ago now). When I found out I was taking a weeklong trip to San Diego, I intentionally held off a haircut to schedule with Nick; guy is the best in the business. Nobody blends hair better. I have searched far in Pennsylvania to get a similar result; doesn’t compare. Good chance you should switch barbers or at least give Nick a try. Trust me on this one; I’m not wrong.

Outstanding experience at BoB’s Barbershop! Nick is an absolutely fabulous barber—professional, skilled, and extremely knowledgeable about all hair types. I brought my 13-year-old son in, who has several stubborn cowlicks, and Nick didn’t hesitate for a second. He studied his hair pattern, worked efficiently, and created a modern, flattering haircut that not only looks amazing but is also easy to maintain. What really stood out was Nick’s confidence, precision, and attention to detail—you can tell he takes real pride in his craft. My son walked out smiling ear to ear, and he absolutely loves his haircut, which says a lot because making a 13-year-old happy with a haircut is no easy task! We’ve already gotten so many compliments. The shop itself is spotless, organized, and has an awesome atmosphere—friendly people, good conversation, and a vibe that makes you feel right at home. This is an excellent barber shop! When you want a $150 cut for $30, you come here! The quality of detail is enough to bring me back. The awesome service, amenities and Barber professionalism are the icing on the cake. Do you miss the smell of barbasol and old school service? Come here! I get my hair cut by Nick. He has a flexible schedule and is cool to chat with while in the chair. The total time there was maybe 30 to 40 minutes. The bomb haircut. Awesome dude! My recent cut I went tapered on the sides and shape the top. I shaved my head prior to this cut to show support for my dad fighting cancer. Also I'm balding, I know. Lol. I was looking a bit like a troll as my hair grew out. I'm impressed with his ability to take me from zero to hero, quick! Thx Brother!

Nick is fantastic! He's so great with my 4 year old son and did a wonderful job on my husband's hair and beard trim!

This is the only place that I get my hair cut now. I lived in Solana Beach 3 years ago and started seeing Nick. He's super friendly and knows what he's doing. I've since moved and now make the 40 min drive to continue to go here, because it's worth it.

I had a great clean shave of my head and uplifting conversation with Sam the barber. Highly recommend this low key spot on the main strip of shops and restaurants in Solana Beach.

I love the traditional barbershop! Both barbers are great and engaging. The clientele are varied and also seem to enjoy the establishment. It's clear why they have a lot of regulars!

It is really Nick's barber shop now. Bob is still there a couple of days a week. Great place! Get a modern or traditional hair cut in a two chair shop. Make an appointment.
