Bob's Steak and Chop House - Valentine's Day Review My friends and I took our wives out for Valentine's Day and decided on Bob's Steak and Chop House. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, perfect for a special evening. The service was also excellent. We started at the bar for some drinks before being seated. While my Old Fashioned was a miss, the food more than made up for it. I decided to go for the bone-in pork chop to switch things up, and my wife ordered the sea bass. The bone-in pork chop was cooked to perfection—medium, just the way I like it—and it was dripping with delicious juices. The apple sauce they paired with it was the perfect complement. As for the sea bass, it was incredible. I'm not one to order fish at a steakhouse, but this was soft, flaky, and absolutely delicious, served on top of a delightful avocado purée. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
What a quaint steakhouse to find exquisite morsels for a fine dining experience. The service was very good which eluded to meals fit for “royalty”. Walking into the building there’s a sense of exclusivity as we were greeted by the hostess. The food and drinks was excellent! The portions were sharable, but if you bought a big appetite, it certainly obliged. Speaking of shareable, the carrot cake for dessert was enough for my entire family at the table. Great Experience!

Google
My family and I had a great experience last night. The food was spectacular and the service was top notch. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you to Jennifer and the rest of the team for providing tasty food per usual. We are never disappointed.

Google
The steak is the star. The buttery crispy crust on the steak had amazing flavor. The smashed potato’s had the right amount of seasoning. Very solid steak house you will not be disappointed.

I love Bob's and have been to 6 locations in Texas. Tonight, the McKinney location made us feel unwelcome. It's disappointing because the food & service are great. Sometimes, it's better than our go-to Plano location. The hostess informed us we were dressed too causal. We could eat, but wanted us to know for next time. She specifically said my husband should be in a collared shirt. Back story. We decided to grab dinner after our sons high school football game. So we were in nice shoes, nice jeans & football T-shirts. I understand a dress code. But Thursday night, less than 25 people, maybe 10 tables seated. I understand different owners, but how do you expect people to go to different locations and understand different dress codes. After walking out the door, I went back inside. The manager came outside with me by the sign(see picture) to discuss. It's sad because we will not be back. I love nice restaurants, and I love dressing up. But when did this industry become too good to take $. 🤔 Outside of the normal things restricted by most: tank top, flip flops, or shorts. I'm talking about nice jeans vs. no jeans and t-shirts vs. collared shirts. What do you think about the topic of dress codes?

Bob's has always been a treat. Several lovely meals down on Lemon Ave, tonight was our first experience in this location. Jay our service expert this evening was on point. Patient with our needs, sharing the details, and accommodations above and beyond. The kitchen delivered the goods cooked as requested and tastes beyond our expectations. Always love a good Bob's dinner service and now there is one close to home.

Google
Lobster was overcooked. Market Price at the time for that app was $95 (Dec 2024). Do not recommend lobster. Otherwise, a good meal. Steak and filet were cooked as expected. Service was great. All staff were welcoming and friendly.

Looking for a superb dining experience in McKinney? Bob's Steak and Chop House will blissfully appease your palate, and provide an appropriate atmosphere to hangout with friends and family. I enjoyed my overall experience at Bob's Steak and Chop House and found it to be the perfect place to celebrate a friend's birthday. If you decide to visit, I highly recommend you try the lamb chops and glazed, thick bacon...they were both highlights of my night.

Yelp
Bob's is always a pleasure. We made reservations for a Saturday night and waited a few minutes to be seated. Their steak is delicious and none of their food disappoints. We started off with a crab cake and ordered the filet mignon and sea bass. Both of which I would highly recommend. We got their cheesecake to go for dessert. I had a glass of the Le Fete Rose and it was delicious. Our waitress, Teresa, was a sweetheart. And all the staff was a pleasure - there was a mixup with my wine initially, and they promptly fixed it. It can get very loud in here when they are busy but this is a great place for a date or a friends/family night.

Yelp
What's the purpose when you have reservations at 5 to say table isn't ready- it's empty just to send us to the bar - order a drink- table is ready and now have to close bar tab?!?!? Why the h.ll can I not order my salad if I don't want an appetizer? To me this is NOT accommodating the patrons! Changes and prices are not worth it anymore!

Yelp
Always a meal to remember! Great good better service. Located is the best area in McKinney , near me!!

Charles M.

Yelp
Weird, dark, uninviting entry is almost scary. Seating open to the bar made conversation difficult. Food was average to bad and overpriced. Filet was barely edible, chicken was dry. Lobster bisque had a strange taste. Service was OK, but not what one would expect given the prices.

India F.

Yelp
First off Demetri was the best server I've ever in my life!! The service first off exceeded everything. He took care of my party of 4 and my mother for her birthday. The lamb chops were a 10/10! All of the sides were so great! The macaroni was my favorite out of the spinach, broccolini, asparagus, but everything was really good. The ambiance was very luxury, grown & sexy, perfect for celebrations. I can't wait to come back!!

Jenni A.

Yelp
For starters the food was delicious! The mac-n-cheese and my ribeye were so amazing! Now the reason for my 3 star review....I was absolutely not impressed with the ambiance at all. I have been to many fine dining steakhouses over the years and have always enjoyed the quiet, dimly lit romantic feel of the dining room. Starting with finding the front door to this place, to being greeted in a tiny dungeon of a hostess stand and then being escorted to our table near a BAR in the middle of the restaurant, I was absolutely not impressed. When asked if we could have a more quiet secluded table, we were seated near the kitchen in a booth. Again the food was tasty but for the price we paid for our meal, I would expect a lot more from the ambiance in a fine dining steak house...especially one that was recently built! They could have done a lot better with their design/lay out! Seeing two large tv's showing sports shows as we are trying to have an enjoyable romantic dinner isn't necessarily the vibe we were going for...we could have done that at home! Doubt we'll ever go back with all of the other options in the DFW area.

Yelp
I like this spot better than the Bob's in Plano I have to say. The interior space is nice, basically the same menu to Bob's in Plano. Our waiter here was terrific. They do offer the pickles here, which was an interesting story I did not know. We started with the meatballs, which were really good, and then the bacon wrapped shrimp. Those were pretty good as well. I ordered the 16oz filet, which was cooked perfect for me and of course I needed a box because 16 oz was way too much; but I was being greedy that night. My husband also got the filet and our friends got the dry aged special that was really good as well.

Jeff P.

Yelp
My wife and I made reservations for Valentine's Day with another couple. When we were seated we instructed the server that we wanted separate checks. She advised us that they don't allow separate checks. Really! How difficult is it? I have never experienced that before. When we were served our steaks, mine was raw when I ordered it medium rare and the other gentleman's was tough and inedible. They did comp his steak, since he didn't eat any of it. My wife's sea bass was very dry, as well. The best part of the meal were the salads and cheesecake. You have a certain level of expectations when you dine in an upscale establishment with $70.00 steaks. Bob's didn't come close to meeting them. Needless we won't be returning.

Yelp
Went here last night for a client dinner. Service was exceptional! Never had my water and wine refilled with such panache and regularity. Food was amazing and well done. They did an excellent job of picking out our wine. Meat as soft as butter. I was going to get lobster instead but the Yelp reviews suggested sticking with the meat. I wish I got a lobster bisque, I was jealous of theirs. My one suggestion for improvement would be packing up my ice cream in a plastic container of some sort. They boxed it up and it was a muddy puddle by the time I got home. I went to bed in a food coma. My husband had to take the kids to school the next day. I ate the comically large dessert for lunch the next day. My daughter and I ate it for dinner and still have left overs. My husband ate all my left over steak.

Callie J.

Yelp
First time trying this place and will ABSOLUTELY go back. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We started with the bacon. It was thick and very good. Enough meat to pull away the fat. The Cesar salad was also very good, light dressing so it's not drenched which I like. Again, the steak was amazing. The sweet potato was served with a cinnamon brown butter which was so good. The carrot...honestly it killed me. It's huge. I think it has to be genetically modified haha, but still good! Then we ended with creme brûlée! Honestly no disappointments. The service was great, the menu was extensive, the food was delicious. Just highly recommend!

Jenny C.

Yelp
I ordered the crab and avocado salad, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was very fresh and the dressing on it was so good. The shrimp remoulade was very tasty as well and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar to eat and the bartenders were very friendly and quick with service. A great experience overall!

Yelp
Was in Allen visiting family for Christmas and came to Bob's for a fine-dining family dinner for ten of us. The entire waitstaff was outstanding, from the bartenders who took care of those of us who arrived a bit early, to everyone who served us during dinner. However, I specifically have to call out Dimitri who was absolutely outstanding, not only with dealing with "herding the cats" of a ten person dinner, but making sure everyone received a dish to their liking, pairing wines with our meals, and just being a joy to interact with, but doing it with skill as to not be overbearing whatsoever. He also happened to look like the actor Faizon Love, from Elf, which happens to be a family favorite, so we had some fun with Dimitri on that topic. Next time my wife and I get to Allen, we will make a point of going to this location again, and we will specifically request Dimitri for our visit. I was unaware that this location also has a cigar bar, which will be something to check out on our next visit. I highly recommend this restaurant. My personal opinion is that you should be dressed appropriately for this restaurant in "smart business attire" (NOT COVID business attire), men will feel most comfortable with a sport coat or blazer. This is a fine-dining establishment. One note, the photo attached is meant to be funny, but the smallest filet you can get here is a 9oz, and it is AWESOME! Thank you Dimitri and all the staff for a wonderful family dinner!

Rich A.

Yelp
Service was superb, but unfortunately the meal didn't match the service. We were seeking a quiet restaurant for a nice anniversary dinner, but this place was extremely noisy.

Mike P.

Yelp
Amazing service from Ethan, great bourbon selection and the backroom cigar bar after dinner is a great way to end the night!

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I have always been a fan of Bob's. They have never failed to deliver in their dining experience. The food was excellent- I would highly recommend the wagyu hotdog. The restaurant was bustling on a Saturday evening. It was very clean and organized inside. The service was excellent. Even though the service was slow and it took forever to get our main entrees out, they were very accommodating and comped our desserts.

J F.

Yelp
We went for our annual family pre-New Year's eve dinner and tried the new location in McKinney after many years of tradition at the Plano spot. Couldn't be happier with our experience, large in part to DIMITRI, our amazing server. Top notch, attentive, funny, quick with suggestions and even hooked my daughter up with some to-go pickles (it's the little things).

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
We went to Bob's Mckinney location to celebrate our anniversary and the service was 100% excellent. Brian was our waiter and the 5 stars go to him almost entirely. His complete knowledge of the wines and menu was incredible. The manager came to our table to check on us. Everyone was very friendly. My husband ordered the filet minon and I ordered the duck. Both dishes were very well done. I recommend the chocolate cake, delicious and enormous! Inside elegant but not ostentatious. We will be back

Mark E.

Yelp
A fantastic night in a chic and contemporary setting. Took my wife for her birthday and cannot say enough about how nice the evening was. We started with a dirty martini and an apple martini, both drinks were on point and set the stage. Our waitress took us for a tour of cigar lounge and it was stunning. Came back to the table and ordered the 12 ounce fillet, medium rare and grilled prawns. We started with a wedge salad that we shared and selected a bottle of wine for dinner. The salad was great and the blue cheese dressing was perfect. Dinner was served and the steak was absolutely perfectly cooked. Full of taste and cut like butter. My wife had the grilled prawns and the shrimp bursted with flavor. Topped the dinner of with a shared crème brûlée that had a perfect candy crust and a creamy inside. I highly recommend this steak house and was told that Bob himself owns and operates this location. Great attention to detail and excellent food.

Don D.

Yelp
Impeccable food.... Service was intentional and very positive .... The ambiance was very enjoyable Highly recommend

Erica S.

Yelp
The food in the atmosphere was absolutely amazing at this location and to top it off. The waiter was on point. Excellent customer service I will be back.

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Had a great date night at Bobs. Food was fantastic as was the service. We started with Lobster Bisque and a wedge salad. The wedge was very fresh and the blue cheese dressing was spot on. The lobster bisque was very good (almost too salty but I like salty and was good with it, my wife felt it was too salty for her) and it came with one of the largest lobster claws I've ever seen! We split the 16oz Filet Oscar and WOW! We usually are ribeye people, but felt like doing something a little different and what a great choice! Not only was it bigger than any filet I've had before, but it was one of the best steaks I've had and I eat a lot of steak! Béarnaise was also excellent (I had to get an extra side of béarnaise it was so good) and the crab meat was large, fresh and there was a lot! They do a great tableside service for baked potatoes that we really enjoyed and the cream spinach was good even though we ended up taking most of it home. Finished with a crème brûlée that was also outstanding. Service was on point and we were very impressed with our hostess Skylar who was very engaging and took a few mins to talk with us as we were getting settled in. It was a great start to a wonderful meal and experience and we are looking forward to go back again soon! I will mention that this location is very open compared to most other bobs I have been to and I can see how this could lead to a very loud environment on busy nights. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't loud for us.

Yelp
(Keanu Reeves voiceover) The vibe is place to be for beautiful people on a Saturday night in McKinney! There's an outdoor movie area with a fabulous sound system that's great for families for before or maybe even after dinner. Walk through the tall door into what feels like an airlock and you are transported to an oasis of fine dining and fun! Whoah. Allison and Francis (with an i; not e) warmly greeted us! There is a dress code, gentlemen. The ladies are in fine evening attire. And just like Charlie Puth, you will sing, "That dress is karma. Perfume regret." But before we could wait a few minutes for a table, Jannette discerned the mischief in our eyes (maybe just mine) and whisked us away to the private cigar lounge where us boys could dine and be raucous. Her ebulant service made us feel very VIP. The cigar lounge was like walking into a John Wick scene. Cavernous. Gorgeous. Upscale. Cat took charge. She is super warm, engaging, and funny. We ordered ribeyes and a filet. And they were flavorful and perfectly grilled. Delish! I enjoyed the scalloped potatoes w/ sautéed onions in a cognac pepper sauce. And their bread loaf tasted bakery fresh from their fabulous kitchen. We were having the greatest conversation and spinning the tallest tales. Yes, Winston. I have a charming side. Preternaturally charming. Preternatural. The ladies laugh when I laugh. It's true. Right, ladies? The boys wanted something manly for dessert. Kelly kindly presented the cigar menu. I can imagine a John Wick after dinner scene: INT. CIGAR LOUNGE BOB'S STEAK & CHOP HOUSE - CONTINUOUS JOHN Kelly. KELLY John. JOHN What would you recommend this fine evening? KELLY The Java. I love it. Ladies love it. JOHN I'll have the Java. KELLY Great to see you, John. JOHN Great seeing you, Kelly. INT. CIGAR LOUNGE BOB'S STEAK & CHOP HOUSE - CONTINUOUS The boys in sartorial splendor enjoy irreverent conversation about current geopolitical issues while enjoying Java, Perdomo, and Rocky Patel cigars. Through the smoke, a gorgeous blonde heroine clad in an elegant white dress walks in....my oh my. That my friends is Bob's Steak & Chop House! It is the place to have a cinematic John Wickian time right in the heart of McKinney! Thanks Allison, Francis, Jannette, Cat, and Kelly! Would order everything again! But next time, will get some Blanton's, maybe Pappy if we weren't hitting the range. Woohoo!

Liz V.

Yelp
The service was amazing, but the food was not that great in my opinion. I have eaten at many nice steak restaurants and heard great things about Bobs. I just was not impressed for all the raving I had heard about this place. For the pricing of the food, I will go elsewhere and pay the same amount for a better quality of all things.

Bethany P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, well decorated, and pretty good service for the most part. Love the layout from dining to the bar area. Would really like to love their food, but the bone in filet was a bit salty for our taste. It's also interesting that they no longer leave the condiments for the baked potatoes to serve yourself.

Lawrence H.

Yelp
Wow!! Came here to check out the cigar lounge and was very impressed!! The service was very good. The lounge is intimate, and the ambiance is well executed. I had a great time conversing with Martin and Allison (bartender and cigar lounge manager). They're both top notch people. It would be nice if they considered adding another starch or two as a side dish.

Toni R.

Yelp
Yay! We have a brand new Bob's in McKinney!!! My friends and I went for dinner last night. The location is awesome. Right off 121 and Alma. Lots of new restaurant's coming in there. The bar here is larger than the other Bob's that we go to. I like this one the best. Seriously though, it should be twice the size as it seems like many people love dining at the bar, as we did. My date and I shared the NY Strip with a baked potato. It came with their huge yummy carrot as well. It was perfectly cooked to medium rare as we requested. The other couple with us had the salmon. They enjoyed it, but it looked really pathetic to me. I asked for a taste and it was super bland. Gray on the bottom (scrape that off Chef...it tastes fishy and is slimey) there didn't seem to be any seasoning on it or sear or any kind. Our meal was great and I would recommend ordering a steak here. A couple next to us ordered the largest filet (appeared to be what is known as the baseball cut). It looked fabulous and I asked them to confirm. It was a resounding YES! Oh. We also had wedge salads which were delicious! They didn't offer us any bread but I saw other diners got it. Maybe they forgot? The bartenders need help. Very busy bar and restaurant with just 3 bartenders. The one waiting on us initially wouldn't make any eye contact or turn towards us as I would ask for another drink, trying to get his attention but being polite. We finally made eye contact with another and he continued to wait on us the rest of the night. He was great. Wish I knew his name. He was older than the other 2 and "seasoned". . We will be coming back soon in hopes that the service gets better. I would suggest that the manager gets to know his customers. Greet people, check on them and be friendly. Just an observation that I didn't notice that. Sometimes it's the staff that will bring me back to a restaurant over and over it's not always about the food. We love Bob's and hope they are a huge success here.

Joni L.

Yelp
While food and service were absolutely worth 5 stars, the atmosphere was anything but. Had a special occasion to celebrate but our small group was unable to even have a conversation amongst ourselves due to the raucous party of 14 Gen-z's sitting next to us yelling up and down and across their table. To be fair, the whole place was loud, but our section was worse. I wish someone would have mentioned noise in reviews as we all would have gone to Del Frisco's instead. By all means, if you're looking to have a wonderful meal with excellent service and don't mind getting a little loud yourselves to be heard, please enjoy a meal here. Otherwise, spend the same $$$$$ and eat at another steak place, such as Del Frisco's.

Anis J.

Yelp
Our expectations were high for this place especially for being such beautiful restaurant. we got the Cesar salad which was not what I accept from a restaurant like this. I got the veal chop and the server asked me if I wanted with pepper corn on the chop and I said yes , the amount of pepper was so much that I could not eat it , the only thing that was good was the filet mignon that my wife got that I ended up eating it with her instead of my veal chop and it cost us $200 which would be fine if the food was good. If I'm going to spend that much money give me something that is not just blow average.

Cheryl H.

Yelp
We went to Bob's last night and it did not disappoint. From the ambience to the dinner it was on point. Our server was attentive and gave us great recommendations. The martini was delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I had the skillet potatoes with the gravy on the side.

E S.

Yelp
Had a date night with my wife to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere was relaxing, quiet and nice. The service was excellent from the minute we walked in. Greeted immediately by friendly happy staff. This is a new location so overall the building was in excellent condition. For us the food was just average for a steak house. We had expected it to be much more and simply couldn't get there. Nothing of the food was bad or even close to bad, but also nothing we had knocked our socks off so to speak. We didn't have any real wow moments here. For us, it's just ok. Great staff however! We will perhaps give them another try to see if we can have better luck next time!

Jim M.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere. We love going there early to beat the crowds. The bar is amazing.

Jesse Z.

Yelp
Good, not great. Happy I came for a pharmaceutical dinner so it was a free dinner! So many great steakhouses in the DFW area that this one did not stand out. Steak was extremely salty and fatty(even for a ribeye), but more importantly, who the hell wants a giant warm carrot with their steak?! :)

Michael E.

Yelp
I have been going to Bob's Chop House in Plano for many many years. Thought I would try McKinney for a comparison. Not even close, plano much better experience. Bob's in McKinney is extremely noisy very crowded and tight seating. My wife had fillet, which was OK. I had the fried shrimp which looked like little balls of burnt dough. The staff were very accommodating no complaints there service was good. I would not recommend it for an intimate good meal.

Karisha W.

Yelp
Celebrated my nieces birthday here with family. It was a very fun evening and the food was fabulous.

Taylor K.

Yelp
We love Bob's and this was our first time at the McKinney location. It has a total different vibe from the other locations, which we enjoyed. This one is bigger and brighter and more suited for younger patrons than the Highland Park location, which feels like a cigar lounge. The French onion soup is a must, and I can't get enough of their loaded baked potato service.

Monique M.

Yelp
We visited Bob's last night with friends and enjoyed our dinner! I had the Sea Bass which did not disappoint. My dish came on top of asparagus which had I known I would not have ordered the side of asparagus. Our server was fantastic otherwise. The restaurant was very busy at the 7pm hour and the noise level is very high. If you are an individual that it's hard to hear in loud restaurants, you may want to try another time - not around dinner. I was expecting individuals to be dressed somewhat business casual but not walking out in athletic shorts and flip flops, although the sign states it is not encouraged is was not enforced. Dirty Martini from the bar was excellent! Next visit my husband will try the hidden cigar lounge. Food and Service Excellent!!!

Alain A.

Yelp
Very unique location with a modern twist including a cigar bar that reminds me of a speakeasy yet they close at 10pm. Excellent customer service you'd expect from Bobs but a bit let down on increased price difference compared to Plano location. Filet mignon is substantially higher here and our first one had to be returned bc it was chewy and difficult to cut through but they redeemed themselves with a perfect replacement. Carrot cake was excellent as usual.

Rosalie R.

Yelp
Bob's Escape - Enjoy the Meal, pass On Dessert If you want a momentary escape from the day to day, treat yourself to dinner at Bob's. You'll feel pampered while you enjoy a delicious, well served meal. Desserts are subpar to average but it's relatively unimportant since the meal is so fulfilling.

Barry B.

Yelp
Excited to have a Bob's Steakhouse in Mckinney. While it is closer to home, my wife and I will be going back to the Plano restaurant. Food always good, and last night was no exception. My wife and I split a 16 Oz filet. Decor was a real disappointment! Un impressive entry door and tiny dark vestibule. I initially thought we were entering the service entry. The bar, and decor looked cheaply built. Standard contractor light fixtures. Not even lit in the dining room, only over bar area. Maybe they also didn't want to draw attention. After dining at the new Eddie Vs, and Steve Fields , Bob's new location really fell quite short of impressive! Gave 4 stars for the food! One star for decor!

Steven D.

Yelp
So happy that they opened this location. We have been here twice already and the service and food has been great! This is a must check out in McKinney

Jeremy G.

Yelp
We just had the worst experience we ever had at Bobs. We get there and go to pull into the handicap parking space and the parking attendant starts flashing his lights because he wanted to use the handicap for valet. He had even put a non handicap car into the handicap spot next to us! Then we have our meal. Three of us and one of our steaks was VERY fatty. The other ones were descent. There was no consistency though. We all had the same ribeye's and one of them had zero fat, it wasn't marbled at all and then the one had A LOT of fat. There was a table of high schoolers there that probably were there for prom. They were drinking small bottles of alcohol and we saw the waiter knew it. Bob's shouldn't be promoting that sort of thing. The waiter told my wife she would give her some pickles to go when we were done because she loves them. After things were packaged up and we paid we noticed she didn't put them in. We told her and she went back to get some. She took forever then came out with a small box and basically threw them at my wife. She gave an attitude because we didn't leave her a big enough tip as she thought we should have. She was very rude. She had put two very small pickles in that box because she was mad too. We find out she didn't even put the half order of onion rings our bag even though we had told her we wanted to keep them. This was my son's first time joining my wife and I there after we had told him what a great place it was. We may have to visit other Bob's locations if this is the way you guys treat people there. I have attempted to reach out to Bob's via email and Facebook to no avail.

Kyle T.

Yelp
Food is great. I haven't had a bad thing on the menu--including the kobe beef hot dog. The wait staff and bartenders go out of their way to remember your drink orders if you come regularly (props to Taylor!). They know the menu well and give great recommendations. The cigar bar is cool, very chill vibe with friendly bartenders knowledgeable in the cigar collection. I enjoy coming to this new McKinney location!

Rebecca N.

Yelp
Wonderful service and exceptional food during chaotic Valentines Day. Runs like a well oiled machine!

Yelp
So glad you came up north. Right across the hwy from me. The chopped salad is always a must. Can't leave without the chocolate cake. Service is always spot on. Love not having to drive downtown for my fix.

Yelp
Our family ate there on Saturday night. Our waitress, Kristen was absolutely lovely. She had great recommendations for appetizers, entrées, and drinks. She was so personable, and we will definitely be back soon and request her. The crabcakes were delicious, as was the wedge salad. We split some shrimp cocktail and it was delicious! The 9 ounce tenderloin was cooked perfectly. No dessert this time, but definitely recommend the ice cream brownie dessert, it is our favorite! I love the low lighting of the restaurant, and the ambience of the fun bowties that everyone wears make it a fun place to visit

Yelp
So happy to have a Bob's in McKinney. Especially an original. Ambiance is great. Service has been fantastic. A few kinks with our order the first few visits but they were happy to work through them and accommodate us. Food has been terrific every visit.

Yelp
Food was superior. Attitude was a tad uppity. We were in town for the National D2 NCAA championship game. One of us wore a ball cap. 2 of us wore university logo clothing. The looks! Oh well, in the end they found out we tip swell and our money was very, very green. I think the FOH staff liked that fact....

Yelp
We've been to Bob's in Ft. Worth and it was so fantastic, we tried Bob's in McKinney. Big mistake. Ordered medium filet mignon, it was served medium well and over salted. Spouse said he could've cooked a ribeye better on his own grill at home. His steak was flavorless. The sautéed mushrooms were not worth eating. We left a full serving. The server felt pushy. We'd barely sat down for two minutes and she wanted our drink order. There were no other guests in her area. Not sure what the rush was. We were reviewing the wine list and offered to send the "wine manager" over and we said, 'not yet, give us some time to review the list' and she sent him over, anyway. She continually failed to read our table and interrupted us mid-conversation to give us the dessert menu. We are regular wine drinkers and know what we like and the appropriate pricing and will often buy a bottle. The wine was shockingly overpriced as were the steaks compared to Ft. Worth which we just visited less than 3 months ago. The porterhouse in FtW is $90, in McK it is $150. Can't even find a grocery store glass of wine in McK for less than $20. The bar was in close proximity to our table. We've not been to a Bob's where the tables surrounded the bar. It started filling up at 6pm and got so loud, a couple nearer to the bar asked to be moved (during the middle of their meal) to a table further from the bar. Once the bar traffic was seated at tables and we could barely hear each other over the 6-top next to us and Journey and AC/DC playing overhead. My spouse jokingly asked if I'd like to head to the skating rink later. It was def not the intimate and classy experience we had at the FtW location. We won't be back!

Yelp
Amazing place! Shawn the manager greeted us and helped us out since it was our first time. He was very kind and incredible. We sat at the smoking lounge and had Kelly and Kat as our bartenders and they were so kind and fun! This whole experience has been amazing. If you need a place for date night this is the spot! My favorites were the scallops, lamb chops, and the roasted neuske bacon slices!!! The "Cote De Boeuf" melted in your mouth! If I'm being honest, we kind of ordered a bit of everything to try out. All in all, will definitely be coming back
