If you drive past this cute little cafe every day then it is time to stop and give it a try!! The empanadas were better than I even knew possible and the staff is SO friendly. Will be supporting this awesome local establishment as much as possible!!

Google
A beautiful, cozy place with the most delicious, freshest, and most authentic Argentinian dishes. Silvia is the sweetest and most attentive person I've ever met. I didn't even feel like I was in a "cafe" but rather as if I was in her home. I'm glad we decided to stop by. I will definitely come back, and I recommend it with all my heart 💖

On our way to Saint Charles for the Scarecrow fest weekend and decided to stop by this beautiful little cafe off of Batavia. First of all, the Cafe owner was absolutely amazing who also serviced us. She was so friendly and wonderful. We sat outside on this beautiful sunny 70° temperature and it was just a great day with adorable seating and relaxing atmosphere. We ordered the Lentils Salad with their homemade mayo and chimichurri dressing, 2 spinach and cheese empanadas, ham and cheese empanadas and a chocolate dipped cookie cake with dulce de Leche and everything was exceptional. It took a little longer but that is to be expected for freshly made food! The empanadas was soooo crispy and flavorful and the lentil salad was delicious as well. My kid said the cookie cake was absolutely the best and his jam and cheese empanadas was hot and delicious. What is not to love? Great service, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere on a pleasant October day!

Google
Love this place, great location at downtown Batavia. Has different seating areas, perfect for groups. The food an authentic Argentinian Antojitos “. Including empanadas , salads, sandwiches ,desserts and coffee. Very spacious outdoor seating area. The empanadas 3 for $10. My favorite was spinach and cheese. They’re perfect size to pair with a coffee. I wish they were closer to me. Juliana and the girls were amazing , friendly and helpful with the menu. Recommend 💯, my experience was excellent. Planning to come back. I had a latte, Alfajore and empanadas #supportsmallbusiness

Google
You can see the excitement on my face to finally get to try the empanadas everyone has been talking about. What a cute inviting atmosphere. The owners made me feel very welcome. I ended up trying 5 different kinds of empanadas. all were EXCELLENT! My favorite had to be the creamed corn. YUM! If you haven't had a chance to check out Bocaditos yet what are you waiting for?! I will be back!!

Google
This is like a hidden gem, a treasure to be discovered! The food is authentic original and savory. It is a real treat with genuine argentine flavor. The empanadas are artesanal, delicious flaky and with a such a great variety.

Google
Absolutely fanatic empanadas! Owner came out and talk with us she she’s so welcoming. Had the cream corn (fantastic) and the beef and pork which are delish. Pastry is light and flaky and probably the best I’ve had (and I love empanadas). Prices are also very reasonable which is a bonus. Definitely stop and try!

Google
I really like this place—the food is tasty and well-made! That said, I do feel the prices are a bit steep for what you get. For example, $12 for three mini empanadas and $14 for just a quarter of a sandwich feels a little over the top. My bill came out to over $65, and while the food was good, the value just didn’t quite match the price. I went with my boyfriend hoping to enjoy a nice meal together, but unfortunately, we could barely talk—the owner was chatting with another customer and they were so loud it made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

Yelp
Friendly service, cozy atmosphere and exceptional food - a gem in Batavia! We ordered 4 empanadas and split the Milanesa sandwich. 10/10!! Can't wait to go back for coffee and dessert.

Yelp
We arrived at noon, when they open and we were the first guests. The owner was super friendly, telling us how the empanadas were made and a little family history. We each had three empanadas and they were all good. We tried the chicken, beef and the onion with mozzarella. I would get any of them again but my favorite was the chicken. There is such a good blend of flavors. The crust is light and flaky and they are baked, not fried. Three was the perfect amount for lunch. They also have a few sandwiches and multiple salads on the menu, but I felt like the focus was the empanadas. I also had the bread pudding for dessert. It was delicious, just the right amount of sweet. The texture is closer to flan than bread puddings I have previously had, but Sylvia, the owner, assured me there was not as much milk as there is in flan. Its really cute inside. There are 4-5 tables and a sofa. They have a great patio outside for warmer weather that has seating for many more people. This would be a great spot to stop during a bike ride along the river. It's only a couple blocks away from the Batavia riverwalk area. They are dog-friendly.

Yelp
We really love the sweet cozy spot in downtown Batavia. They even have a beautiful outdoor patio with super comfortable chairs, which is hard to find in an outdoor seating area they allow you didn't even bring your dogs. You can sit outside with a nice glass of wine. The empanadas are a perfect size to try multiple flavors. They're about the size of a deck of cards. They really want you to try their flavors from Argentina.

Yelp
I've heard such good things about Bocaditos (both their empanadas and amazing owner) and can now join the host of the positive reviews. The hours are limited which had made it difficult to visit but I finally found a time that worked. We arrived right when they opened on Friday for lunch and the owner greeted us and welcomed us inside. The owner is so sweet and talkative. She provided great recommendations and loved to chat about how Bocaditos came to be. The patio area looked super comfy and had plenty of covered seating options. There were also a few tables inside which is where we sat. At the time we visited, there was one other group dining in but a few people picked up some items to-go. The empanada guide is super helpful! Basically, to keep all the variations straight, they seal them with different designs. I tried the chicken, spinach, and the onion & mozzarella empanadas which were all amazing! The crust was so soft and fresh and the filling to crust ratio was perfect. Overall they are much lighter than I was used to which was great since I didn't feel super "heavy" or too full afterwards. I had three which seemed like the perfect amount for a light lunch. They also have some salad options which would pair well with the empanadas for a more balanced meal. I also have to give a shoutout to the water glasses because they were so cute.

Yelp
Stunning experience. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food and really really loved the owner and her daughter. Can't wait to go back when we are in the area again

Yelp
I love coming to this fine establishment before shows at the Comedy Vault. Great service, family owned, family recipes. If you haven't had empanadas before you are missing out. The space is great and the patio is lovely when the sun is shining.

Yelp
I mean this when I tell you these people know how to make you a cup of coffee. I have never tasted such good coffee since I started drinking coffee when I began college. Highly recommend the cappuccino you will not need sugar it's perfectly sweet enough to not need it but not be too overpowering to where you'll be like "that's too sweet". Had to ramble, apologies.
google avatar

Anne W.

Yelp
Lovely owner, craveable food and a delicious cappuccino. Went in to try an empanada and a coffee and - after I indulged - also left with a dozen frozen empanadas and two containers of the best chimichuri sauce I intend to put on everything. The owner carefully packed the frozen empanadas in a freezer bag for me as she knew I had a long drive. Charming little place, I would definitely come back if I was in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
I love the spinach one And it was my first time trying the beef one. It was really good. I would come back

Yelp
Been here with some girlfriends from out of town and was so enchanted with the experience and vibes. Delicious variety of empanadas and other sides plus a tasty variety of cocktails as well. Decor is warm, inviting and staff is lovely. Will most definitely be back.

Yelp
Cozy, relaxing atmosphere, where the owners cook and serve the food. You feel like a guest in their home. Not spicy hot, but very flavorful, superbly seasoned meat empanadas and vegetable empanadas. I tried 6 flavors and honestly didn't have a favorite. They were all sublime. The price was criminally low. 3 for $10. The dough was cooked to perfection. The owner spared a few minutes to chat with me while I dined alone on a soft, plush chair.

Kris S.

Yelp
Amazing place! Small family business and the food is fantastci. Absolutely love it. Go check it out.

Michael Z.

Yelp
I know that they have way more to offer, but I just cannot get passed the delicious empenadas. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
The food, the service is off the charts!! Most delicious empanadas I've ever had!! When we visit Illinois it's a must stop on our journey!!

John O.

Yelp
Amazing empanadas and traditional Argentinian food. Owners are awesome. You feel like you are at a relative's home!

Nelu B.

Yelp
I ordered a Milanesa sandwich. Amazing choice. Very healthy prepared. The espresso was up to 5 starts, so as the service. Overall, very good experience and very much recommended.
google avatar

Manuel A.

Yelp
You come for the empanadas (many to choose) but linger for the cozy space and the warm and friendly owners/staff. Always something new to try from coffee to wine to pastries. I want this small business to be explored by everyone so they can enjoy the best empanadas in the area and meet the charming people behind them. Park right up front and hang at the patio with a coffee, mate tea, beer or wine. Buen provecho.

Yelp
For me, this wasn't just a pleasant surprise, it was an amazing experience. From the historic mansion, location, the wide open kitchen, the beautiful cultural décor, hospitable staff/owners, and the delicious knee slapping food! The owners and staff are family owned, and they gave us a tour of their restaurant, and made us feel like home. Did I mention that the food is Argentinian and the sandwich I had was AMAZING? Definitely go and support this place, you will NOT be sorry.

Yelp
WHAT A GEM!!!' This place is AMAZING. The empanadas are delicious, beef, chicken, corn and cheese and onions. However, the ham and cheese empanada is out of this world. I truly think that It was the best ham & cheese empanada I've ever eaten. Saying that the milanés sandwich is outstanding delicious is not enough. For dessert you must try the pasta farola (quince paste tart) flaky crust with delicious quince paste. The alfajores are exactly like my mom used to make them (2 cookies with caramel in between) Last but definitely not least, the pionono (sponge cake with caramel and shaved coconut) BTW, you must have an espresso with the dessert. This place is definitely unique. Amazing ppl, great service with outstanding food in a cozy atmosphere. MUST GO

Yelp
The sweetest people, the coolest offerings, both good food and shopping from Argentinian vendors make it like Cracker Barrel with international flare. I got their signature empanadas (1 spinach and 1 red pepper) Excited to return!

Yelp
Amazing food! Amazing owners and staff! Super sweet patio and indoor set up. Love, love, love this place!

Yelp
We visited Bocaditos yesterday to pick up our takeaway order. The women owners are extraordinarily pleasant and very welcoming. The empanadas we had were truly delicious! We ordered two each of the beef, chicken and spinach and cheese, and one each of the creamy corn and ham and cheese. They were all so flaky, and filled with fantastic fillings. We also ordered 2 extra containers of their chimichurri, it's SO good! Order extra to take home - it's a delicious accompaniment to the empanadas, and will also complement so many other foods - steak, chicken, etc. We had their alfajores for dessert, and they are not to be missed! You can get them half-dipped or fully-dipped in the most delicious chocolate. They also sell everything you need to make yerba mate tea. The tea leaves, tea vessels, and the special straws. I asked one of the owners which brand of yerba mate leaves she preferred, and she was so informative and helpful. We bought everything we need to enjoy the yerba mate. They're moving and opening up a new shop in Batavia, and we wish them well and can hardly wait to visit them again!

Yelp
Delicious authentic Argentinian food in a relaxed ambiance. The service was great- the owners are friendly and professional. Totally recommend.

Yelp
I don't know what else to say except that these empanadas are delicious! I feel lucky to have such a yummy option nearby.

Yelp
Oh boy! What an incredible find! Run, don't walk to Bocaditos Cafe! The empanadas are delicious. Made to order, flaky crust, savory fillings! The best I've had outside of Argentina. Very friendly owners, quaint seating in and out and delicious deserts. So glad we found this spot. You will be too! Carry out and create a delicious small bites experience at home!

Teresa B.

Yelp
I got almost every type of bocadito that they have--frozen. We liked all of them. Can put them all out an once for a fun meal or appetizers or eat combos of them for lunch.

Yelp
Oh my! What amazing food! I can't believe that I've road past this place sooo many times and never went in. We'll let me tell you, that is not going to be the case anymore! This has to be on my top 5 best places to eat in Batavia. The empanadas are out of the world! The owner, Sylvia, imports the flour from Argentina, it's all homemade Argentinian recipes made by the owner. Don't pass up this treat! You will be every so happy you tried this place!
google avatar

Stephani K.

Yelp
Bocaditos is amazing! We were recommended this place by family, and we placed a catering order for a birthday party. They were so kind and accommodating! The food was delicious, I would eat here all the time if we lived in the area. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Sid G.

Yelp
Outstanding! We sat outside, just to the east of the building under a cozy tent. Silvia greeted us with a beautiful smile (yes, you could tell under her mask) and a warm, lovely personality. My wife and I each got the Empanada combo, 3 per order plus a drink for $10.50. I got a Carne, Pollo and Pork which she said wasn't on the menu but had in the kitchen. And a Mate Cocido ice tea with mint and ginger....wow, that was good, something very unique! My wife got Carne, Pollo and Espinaca empanada's. Hands down these were the best empanadas we'd ever had! Fresh ingredients in a thin pastry, not thick like some and absolutely delicious. Juliana and Silvia, keep up the good work! Your restaurant in Batavia is a gem and your love for what you do shows in what you serve.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Recently tried the empanadas here and am instantly a huge fan. Aside from the empanadas being delicious and reasonably priced, the mom and daughter duo that own/run the place are friendly and warm!! I'm going back.

Mia D.

Yelp
Food was good ..the bread was excellent ! Bread pudding a little smudgy for my taste.

Yelp
During the summer months we love going to farmer's markets but this year has been different. Luckily for us we came across Bocaditos Cafe! Their empanadas are the best I've had. If you ask you could purchase frozen ones to take home and cook them up whenever you have a craving. They're not heavy or greasy just delicious. We're planning on going to the cafe soon to enjoy a full meal and probably take home some empanadas.

Joe S.

Yelp
Delicious, my favorite was the beef empanada. Very sweet owners and they have cool merch.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Fabulous service and food . Lovely ambiance . Highly recommend this cafe! My family and friends loved it!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
My only complaint is that they aren't open 7 days a week because once you try them you will want to eat them everyday . Delicious and great customer service. My toddler has a food allergy and it was refreshing how quickly they could tell me the ingredients in each dish (not all restaurants are able to do that ) and how friendly they were about it.

Yelp
We were so excited to learn about a new Argentine café that we dedicated our day off to it. Rode our bikes from Wheaton to Batavia and stopped for the most delicious empanadas we have had in the US so far. Trust me, I'm Argentinian. Everything about this place is excellent. The decor made me feel right at home, every product they sell a trip to my childhood. The food is as authentic as it gets. I specifically love that their empanadas are baked, not fried... just like at home. We got to try their iced Mate: a MUST for a hot summer day like today. It it clear that Silvia and her daughter pour their hearts into this place and it shows. Don't miss out on this gem! We will definitely be back again, and again, and again.

Yelp
Amazing gem of a shop to find a home on The Fox! All products tried were perfect (chicken empanadas were wonderful!), and the cookies with dulce de leche were wonderful (received immediate approval from my kiddos). Owner is very friendly and helpful with products, and they even have some nice commercial items for sale (dulce de leche, quince jelly, Yerba mate) which can be tough to find elsewhere. Highly recommended, and count my family as new loyal customers! They do not have seating for dinning/cafe, but there is a wonderful riverfront and downtown Batavia to stroll and enjoy the tasty goods. Still deserves an A+ rating!!!

Yelp
Very good! I was in the area and took a chance on a place I found on Yelp. Today was my first visit, but won't be my last. I had a combo: 2 empanadas (one beef and one ham/cheese) and one chori-pan (chorizo on bread). Freshly made while I waited, hot and delicious. The 3 items together was approximately equal to a large sandwich you'd get at a restaurant, so it was a good meal. I also tried the eggplant salad and it was delicious as well.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! I've stopped here before for their empanadas and other dishes and it's always delicious! However, I specifically want to recommend their carrot soup. United Way hosted a Soup Tasting even where several restaurants from the area contributed tastings of their soup as part of the fundraiser and Bocaditos contributed their carrot soup. I wasn't sure about a carrot soup - just imaging an orange bisque- but I was so wrong! This was hands down my favorite soup of the whole event! I wish I could have just had the entire pot. My friend and I spent most of the evening trying to guess the seasoning of the soup because it was so amazing and we wanted more. I will definitely be stopping at Bocaditos more frequently for their carrot soup.

Yelp
The best empanadas north of the equator! We ordered a dozen to try them all, and each one was delicious. Warm, delicious, and authentic served with gracious charm and hospitality. I will be a returning and repeat customer.

Yelp
Amazing service, food, drink. Feels very homey and owners and staff are the kindest people ever. A bit of a wait but the food is so delicious it's worth it 100%

Maria G.

Yelp
Delicious food and kind staff. Appreciate they use local vendors for their kombucha, which was also tasty.

Frank M.

Yelp
This place is incredible! I recently moved to Batavia from the city and was a little concerned about finding good authentic food and this place has put my concerns at ease! The owner and her daughters are extremely friendly. The Milanesa sandwich is incredibly delicious! Served with a glass of cold white wine on a hot day! This will be my new go to spot in the area! So good!
google avatar

Erika P.

Yelp
Adorable, simply delicious & friendly customer service! Best to call your order in ahead of time or go shop while they make you food. We will be back!

Alejandro L.

Yelp
Bocaditos is a gem of a place. The people who run this cafe are beautiful souls with an enthusiasm to serve and share a bit of their hearts through the foods and drinks they sell. The aesthetics and the environment in here is amazing.

Jo L.

Yelp
Need something for dinner tonight? Pick up a pan from Bocaditos! I'm a fan of empanadas on the doughy side so this place nails it for me. Great for when you're having a party or hosting company! Keep this place in mind.
google avatar

nan B.

Yelp
EXCELLENT empanadas! This is authentic Argentine cooking at it's best. We tried the meat empanadas and the ham and cheese empanadas. They were really authentic; as good as they are in Argentina. The Milanesa sandwich was tender and flavorful. The Alfajores are as good as my mom's. I can't wait to go back and try more items!
google avatar

Yelp
To my surprise, the empanadas were bite size (hence the name Bocaditos), however, the flavors were all there. I only wished it was a full size empanada. I had the meat, corn with cheese, and spinach with cheese and all three were delicious. My husband had the Milaneza sandwich and it was stacked well.
