Bocado

Went for Sunday brunch - group of 4. Reserved table beforehand, no wait. Brunch comes with a drink - Bellini, mimosa, orange juice, or coffee. OJ tasted fresh, pulp which I like. We spent about $35 pp. Felt on the pricier side especially waffles, pancakes for $25-27 which we did not opt for. Still, would return as a special outing with friends for good food at a convenient location with good ambiance. Pictured: crab cake burger, omelettes, eggs Benedict.

Oh my god, the food was so good here!! The service was def not the best, as we had to ask for bread, and had to ask for check after quite a bit, and then still wait a bit more. But I will most def be returning as my meal was heavenly!! Portions are big too!

Found this place randomly after a night at the museum. The service was so quick despite how busy it was. The wine was refreshing and the food was flavorful! Loved the little outdoor seating. Will definitely be back to try their pasta, it smelt sooooo good!

Great food and service. We had a burger and a turkey sandwich. Both were really good! The portion size was also large and both plates came with fries. The sandwich was delicious. My favorite. Thanks for everything.

Cozy place with good service and friendly people. The food is excellent and the price is fair, here you can eat a good Tiramisu and drink a homemade beer.

Very huge portions of breakfast. it’s delicious as well: ordered steak and eggs and it didn’t disappoint. Service was awesome.

Really enjoyed the soft ambiance and the friendly service here. It’s such a cozy, romantic spot to come enjoy a glass of wine and some appetizers. Very impressive wine list! The prices are a bit steep for the dishes offered, but delicious nonetheless. Also: don’t miss out on their delicious bread that they serve before the meal - the buns in particular were so fresh and memorable.

I’ve walked by Bacado’s restaurant many times in route to the 92nd Street Y and it’s always busy. It’s an unusual restaurant since it’s open from 8:30 am til 10pm . I went there for breakfast and actually walked in a few minutes before they opened and the interior with a beautiful bar seems more appealing for lunch or dinner but i had an excellent breakfast: poached eggs on avocado toast with a salad and a latte. I am looking forward to many more meals here! The service was excellent and soon after i arrived, the restaurant began to fill up with customers!

Bocado is becoming my fav spot for brunch... Not only amazing food across all types of dishes but also wonderful environment, staff and super kids friendly. Recently had the mushroom pappardelle and was DELISH

This place was all that and a little more - Location, ambience, noise level and well organized. I had the burger - (soooo recommend it)!! Mimosas and Bellinis- mixed to perfection - Quick brunch was an impromptu success- thanks to bocados staff. Buen provecho - sorry no pics. - indulged in cinco and forgot to capture the beautiful plates. But trust me - you will not be disappointed!

I went for a drink after a long work day. French 75 is my classy drink to order. Few seating. The bar was very clean and fully stocked. Service was great.

$9 happy hour (wine, sangria, Bellini, mimosa, and beer). Came on a weekday, place was empty. Service is pretty quick. Happy hour is 12-8!

Lovely neighborhood cafe that I always passed and wanted to go to. Yesterday I ate lunch here. Crab cake and French fries. The crab was tiny and plated with a mound of frisée on top. Chipotle aioli accompanied the cake. The fries were superb. Crisp but not too crisp on the exterior and tender in the middle. Served in a wire rectangular linen lined basket, I ate every piece. What I particularly liked about Bocado Cafe was the service and the space. This cafe has been here for a decade and has a variety of customers. From a senior with her attendant to a couple who were regulars and chatting with the manager. A high top table with South Asians, young men and women. Burgers and fries are hugely popular and customers ate every chip. Brunch is popular here and I was told to come back for it. One day I will.

Veryyyy busy on a Saturday morning, but service is extremely quick once you sit down. Appreciated the complimentary mimosas, but feel like the price is embedded in the remaining brunch entrees. Mimosas were pretty strong tho! I got the ham omelette, and my friends got the turkey club and steak Benedict. The portions were pretty huge, but like I mentioned above, prices were pretty high. Ham omelette was tasty, but not enough flavor! Had to salt my eggs and home fries a decent amount of times. A large range of guests eat here, from older couples to families with their kids. Pretty loud but very bright with the large windows.

Cute spot, wonderful food and drinks for brunch! Service was friendly and clearly hard working. Unfortunately I was not happy with the wait and we ended up waiting at least 45 minutes and they don't have anywhere inside to really wait. No number was taken down either to contact us about our table being ready so we kind of just had to stand around the other tables while they ate which was awkward. I know it's NYC, but it was a Saturday and they clearly overbooked themselves. Please get a better system and flip your tables faster!

Been here a handful of times and every time the food was great! The restaurant is a cute place with lots of drink options. There are two large tvs by the bar so perfect if you want an upscale and quieter place to watch a game. The service is always attentive and knowledgeable of their wines.

Nice restaurant with a classy/rustic vibe with plenty of seating inside and out. I ordered the BLT E sandwich. The sandwich was enormous. It was a doubled BLT sandwich, two tiered. Very tasty. It had fresh avocado in it as well. The fries were well seasoned but wish it was crispier, it was more on the soggy side. The service was good and appreciated the swiftness and kindness of the servers. I dropped my fork and someone immediately came to replenish my fork. Really put a smile on my face. Little things like that in service makes places memorable and makes you wanting to come back.

Came here for brunch and ordered the Quesadilla Benedict. the food was okay. The place seemed quite busy which is always a good sign ! I'm not sure I'm a fan of the Quesadilla variant of the classic eggs Benedict. What I loved the most was the complimentary mimosa with brunch! The service was also very nice. I will be coming back to try something else from their brunch menu.

Bocado is a very cute and cozy cafe in a great location on the UES! There is always a hussling and bussling about this place that intrigues you to make your way there. The service was extremely well and nothing to complain about that! All of the food we have gotten including the burger, mango salad, and tiramisu were all good! Nothing about the meal made me dream of it or wanting to crave it to come back for more but it was a solid meal! A fantastic place to come and grab a drink!

I like the ambiance and the generous seating area to choose from but the food was just OK. Came here for brunch on a Saturday and my omelette felt too crowded in a small skillet with potatoes and a piece of bread. Service could have been a bit more attentive too. Reservations via OpenTable.

Pros: Food was pretty good! The potatoes were well seasoned and I enjoyed my Benedict. Server was attentive Atmosphere was like a quaint cafe Cons: We arrived at 9am and were told we couldn't order options on the brunch menu until 10am which was a little annoying. They do not have any flavors to add into their coffee.

We heard great things about Bocado Cafe and wanted to make a trip to the restaurant for brunch. One thing we loved about this place was how they gave free drinks for brunch! We got orange juice and a mimosa, which were both tasty. I got the organic quinoa/kale and it was better than I expected. I'm not a huge greens person, but this was very delicious, especially with hot sauce. We also got the two eggs any style that was great in terms of portion and taste. We thought it was cute how they served them both in skillets. The service met our expectations where the waiters took our orders at a reasonable time and our food came out relatively quickly too. Ambiance was gorgeous. Wish we were able to sit more in the inside, but the view outside was nice too because of the weather. I am hoping to bring my friends here next week because I loved it so much! By the way, they sell Ithaca Beer, which is near and dear to my heart. If you love them, you should definitely stop by. Overall Bocado was a great experience! We stepped on a hot summer day, and it was a great refuge from the heat. We ordered an egg white chefs omelette with the Rossini and the linguini which were both great. The bolognese especially was surprisingly amazing, and not somehting we were expecting. The service was also wonderful. Overall a cute neighborhood spot on a friendly corner, definitely want to come back in the evening to sip one of their many wines!

I had to revisit this place and of course it did not disappoint. The shrimp were seasoned so well and so fresh! It was a weekday so it was super quiet. Please be sure to stop by if you're in the area you won't regret it!

I just moved to the neighborhood and my roommate and I were on the hunt for a casual but good dinner, and we stumbled upon this spot. We loved it from the second we walked in. It was laid back but super cute and everyone was so friendly. We split a bottle of wine and I had the mushroom pasta, which was delicious. Great spot!

This place always looks so busy so I decided to grab brunch here one day. The service was attentive. I like the rustic feel of the place. The coffee was delicious and I was pleased that they had oat milk. I had the veggie burger which tasted mushy. It wasn't that great. The salad was good but way too oily/ too much dressing. Food is alright but for the price and the business, I expected more.

Excellent food and service, and generally no wait! I went here for brunch on a weekday, but live in the area and have never seen it too full. There's usually space in the outdoor dining area, which was great for us since we had a dog (which the server got a bowl of water for). The French toast and avocado toasts were by far the highlight of the order. And the iced latte was delicious and came out in such a cute glass! The huevos rancheros were also good but I wouldn't say had as much flavor or value than the other dishes we ordered. Overall, 10/10 experience. This would be a great place for brunch or dinner with friends or family.

We came here for brunch yesterday. They give complimentary mimosa/bellini, coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice! I ordered Steak & Eggs and switched to Hand Cut Fries. The steak & eggs were actually perfect. The steak had great flavor and the eggs looked beautiful. The fries could've been a little crisiper but were good overall.

Great happy hour for wine, the chardonay wasn't too oaky which I loved. The hummus was a bit bland, not much flavor. The food did look great but I was just there for happy hour. Great size location, tv screen at the bar so you can watch the game. Nice music not too loud, greats spot to catch up with the girls over wine.

The one thing that should have came out to the table cold should have been the water and not the food. At almost $30 a plate for cold food. No thanks. Employees standing around and not bringing food out to the tables. First and last time I come here.

Bocado was extremely disappointing, always see long lines when passing by and thought we'd give it a try. Very busy, but staff is accommodating. Food was extremely underwhelming yet very expensive. You'd think you're at a bougie restaurant but the food is not good. Left very disappointed. Wish I can get my money back.

I really hope this restaurant stays in business. Ambiance is great ,very cute place . Service is on slower side . I been coming on and off to this place for about 7 years now and unfortunately food is getting worse each time I go back . Last time I ordered prosciutto and fig flat bread . Bread was burned and not just little brown but with black edges that was covered by toppings . It have weird taste to prosciutto. They salads use to be great now just okay . Steak was chewy . I really hope you change chef cause ambiance is so great !

Food and service were excellent. I would go there again anytime. For my fellow wine drinkers they have a broad menu of wines by the glass, more choices than most places offer.

Came here for happy hour with friends after work! This place is so cute. Happy hour is only in the bar area and it filled up pretty fast after 5/6pm. Happy hour is wine and beer only no food. However of course you can order normal food too. We shared the calamari and the nachos. Both great finger foods with great portions and yummy flavors. Great spot to hangout with friends! Very clean and cute decor! The service was great and super fast. Very very friendly staff. We loved it here!

This was the first place we went to for brunch in the big apple. Skirt steak egg benedict was delicious. 10/10. The bottomless mimosas and iced latte did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place in NYC. Our server was friendly and kept the drinks going. We loved the location, the place wasn't overly packed and we were seated almost right away. Ambiance was giving busy, but enough to be intimate and personal with friends. Loved, loved this place. Go for brunch!!

Great cafe with good prices and a large menu. We shared some fried calamari and it was delicious. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Good service, nice staff, great atmosphere.

Visited for brunch and was very impressed with the food, service, vibe. The corner location and big windows allowed the sun to flow through positively adding to the vibe. Had the pancakes which were very tasty and fresh. Coffee was excellent and strong. Very attentive waiter. Will definitely come back to try the waffles!

Visited 12/2/23. Stopped into Bocado while on the UES around 3pm for a late lunch/early dinner. Cute festive winter decor adorned the place. We were seated right away despite not having a reservation, so bonus points for this. The prices did feel a bit steep for both the brunch and lunch menus, however the best part was that a daily brunch special was being run with a free mimosa/bellini with the purchase of a meal. My mom and I split the quesadilla while my sister got the avocado and mango salad. The quesadilla was nothing earth shattering, but the chicken was cooked well and we liked that it came with a side. The salad my sister got was fresh and easy to eat-liked the mango. Nothing in terms of the service, food, options would have me running back, but it would be a decent occasional lunch option for those in the neighborhood.

We're very fond of this place. It's a mix of locals, including young families. There are tourists, as well as New Yorkers from outside the city. The food is consistently of high quality, I'm a big fan of the steak entrees. Close quarters, so you can easily make a request from any server, they're always available. While it can be crowded, Bocado has a very homey, relaxed feeling.

Bocado is consistent and relaible. A very pleasant, reasonably priced, casual restaurant on the UES. Many options on the menu, including vegetarian. Nice rotation of daily soups. Salads are flavorful and interesting. The service was polite, friendly, and efficient. The food was delicious, in a basic way. Food always tastes fresh. Bocado is an excellent destination for lunch or dinner.

It's close to my hotel Franklin so I need to try it's since I see a lot of people eating .... It's good it has a variety of option to eat it's a typical cafe and the food is great Everyone is great a lot of noise so if uou want a quiet ambiance ain't the place great location , great food choices , good service Recommended

It's been a few years since my last visit and I'll be sure to put a stop to that and make it part of the rotation. Delicious eats! My brunch Mediterranean Green salad with salmon was so tasty. That olive tapenade wasn't playing. Yummmm! Salmon was the perfect addition. Cannot wait to come back soon.

Nice restaurant with reasonable prices. Tables are a little compact for what I appreciate as folks getting up to move between tables gets a butt in your face. Service by all was outstanding as the folks who cleaned the tables were also asking If you needed additional drinks, dessert etc.

One of my go to local spots for dinner. Cute place with a mixed modern American and European feel. Servers are friendly, but sometimes don't return for a while. Weekend brunch is notably very busy here so would come early or try to avoid. Food is tasty and especially would recommend the skirt steak and the spicy seafood pasta. FYI they don't serve liquor here, just beer and wine.

Sunday brunch day found this via Open Table and made a reservation for the bar. Arrived on time for the reservation and there were a couple seats at the bar, and cleared out quickly after my arrival so I became the only one. The staff was very polite and attentive. I ordered the French toast along with a glass of wine. French toast didn't need any syrup as the toppings were perfect. The side of bacon helped even out the sweetness. I'd come back to try other items on the menu and perhaps another time outside of brunch.

Great place to enjoy dinner+drinks at an affordable price! We went there for dinner and got the pre-fix menus. Pre-Fix Dinner - 45$ Brussel Sprouts (5/5) This was surprisingly super good. It was garlicky and buttery and roasted perfectly. It was a great start to the meal and the portion was also bigger than expected. The caesar salad option looked huge too. Salmon (5/5) I actually really enjoyed this. I got my salmon medium and it was perfect. It was big and moist with great seasoning. The kale quinoa salad at the bottom was also so good with great balance of flavor. Tiramisu (4/5) This wasn't bad but the other dessert options looked better. Still a decent choice! The service was also very fast! I'd definitely recommend.

I Stumbled into this place in search of finding something new and good. Was welcomed with open arms, big smiles and home grown hospitality by Dan and Angelo. Very friendly place with great ambianceandenerfy. Did I mention that the food was absolutely delicious.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! We were greeted and welcomed by no less than 4 members of the Bocado Cafe staff as we entered this lovely and lively cafe for a late Friday lunch. Besides the super friendly service, the food presentation was beautiful and it was all DELICIOUS! We had the brussel sprouts that were loaded with chorizo sausage, the prosciutto & fig flatbread was finger licking good and the house salad was fresh as could be. Carla our server was attentive and friendly but allowed us to sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch at a new favorite place!

Typical Sunday brunch with friend. French toast is a must. It is well made and perfectly toasted. The caramel drizzled on top of whipped cream complemented the toast. Avocado and poached eggs with salad is just the regular one. Not very exciting to talk about. My friend gets mint tea and I get coffee which tastes like made from instant coffee rather than freshly brewed. It is closed to the Central Park, you could stroll around after the good brunch.

The place was empty for lunch, it was quick service . The hummus was okay needed more flavor but it was okay. The truffle fries was amazing and must try! The place did look cute and would definitely need to come back for dinner .
