The 16 Best Restaurants & Hotels In Saratoga Springs

"Bocage is the closest you’re going to get to France in Saratoga, as you can order oysters and charcuterie boards, hang out in an airy, white-washed space, and drink some champagne or a wine from the Loire Valley under the crystallized chandeliers. The small bar fills up with late afternoon and early evening groups looking to catch up over a bottle of rose, romantic duos on a date, or solo drinkers interested in learning about wine varieties just as much as drinking them. And if you end up here not in the mood for a drink made from grapes, you’re still in excellent hands if you order an Old Fashioned or a negroni. " - lauren breedlove

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here while we started off here and then we finished off at a really nice restaurant but the service here was outstanding. The drinks were amazing. The service was perfect. I forgot the gentleman‘s name who served us, but he had a fabulous sports coat. It was very, very nice. My wife enjoy the caviar and the champagne. I had a few mixed drinks but highly recommend. Absolutely beautiful it was perfect. It’s small. It’s intimate. It’s just right.

Love, love this champagne bar. We’ve been here many times. We usually make reservations. We’ve had cocktails here in addition to champagne (and food), those are excellent as well. The service is friendly and they have introduced me to caviar, which is another indulgenceI I now enjoy. Thanks Zac!! And I’ve tried many champagnes and wines - all wonderful quality yet varied. The interior is pretty and thoughtfully designed as well. We will be back soon!🥂

Very cute little champagne bar. Made reservations prior. My table was ready right on time and staff was super friendly. I loved that there was a good selection of drinks and cocktails. The charcuterie was also good! Would definitely recommend enjoying before dinner or for a happy hour! Be sure to make reservations as it is pretty small inside.

Really nice spot for a pre dinner drink in Saratoga. Very knowledgeable team and pleasant atmosphere. We didn't eat but the menu seemed nice for a snack.

Just a really special place. We came in and were greeted by Zac. Who is as effervescent as the champagne he serves. It really was something incredible to see how passionate he was. He gave us great drink recommendations and was incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. The atmosphere is cozy, yet upscale and fun. We had an absolute blast and will be back again!

First time at Bocage last night. Fabulous flight of sparkling wines from around the world with smoked almonds and baked Brie. Great atmosphere and, most of all, GREAT service from bartender Jay. He knows his stuff and does things with style and a smile. Will definitely be back. 🥂🌟

Google
This spot is truly one of a kind. Slightly tucked away from the main drag, you sit in this quaint boujie cozy bar where the champagne selection ranges from affordable to once-in-a-lifetime bottles. The menu is a perfect (and delicious) selection for pre or post dinner bites. The staff are lovely and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
What a lovely little spot just off Broadway on Phila! Bocage took over a space that was previously Mediterranean food and oh, my....I love what they've done with the place. We happened to be in town for an early dinner/late lunch and wandered in for a pre-meal snack and cocktail. Ambiance is lovely, seating was comfy and not a bit of pretentiousness was thrown at our dressed down crew. Generous pours on the Prosecco and perfectly crafted mixed drinks (Manhattan and old fashioned) were enjoyed. Charcuterie board had a nice mix of local cheeses/meats with gluten free crackers available. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The best place you'll go to all weekend in Saratoga. The most helpful staff, the cutest place, the best bathroom, and friendliest people around. This place is small, so make a reservation if you can. But if not, come early and say yes to standing at the bar until they can get you a seat. This is clearly Both a locals and tourists favorite. And they're doing everything right.

Yelp
This is an intimate little spot on Phila Street downtown. The decor is lovely. The champagne list is high quality. The caviar is from Island Creek Oysters. It's definitely a great place to enjoy a high-end afternoon.

Yelp
Zac and Clark set the scene the second we walked in the door. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and you could tell had true passion for their business. It has the air of a "special occasion" spot, but still had accessible options mixed in with their high-end offerings. We were heading to dinner, so we didn't eat, but did return after dinner for a night cap. We had different staff the second time around and they were just as lovely and knowledgeable. We had a great experience, can't recommend it enough, and will be coming back every visit to Saratoga. What a gem!

Yelp
My husband and I have gone to this establishment for over a year and a half. We live in NYC but we have a house in Saratoga so we visit often. We order one of their most expensive champagnes, Paul Laurent, and I usually order the caviar for $140. We recently bought the champagne from a store for a dinner party and imagine our surprise when we realized that they don't increase the price by the customary 30% but make a profit on the bottle on each glass they sell for $30+. The bottle costs in the low $30s. This last time we went there, my husband was parking the car. I ordered our usual champagne but by mistake called it Saint Lauren. They have no such label. The server served me a glass of a Sancerre named Saint Veran. Every time we have gone there, the serve staff has been different. That should've been a clue. Staff turn-over is never good, especially in a small town. There was never a sense of familiarity. Long story short, the manager, Sam, behaved like I had wasted the most expensive class of wine which actually cost $18 a glass and so much less a bottle for them. She reluctantly offered to bring me the champagne but at that point I thought the mistake was mine. I ordered the caviar and had it with the wine. A little later, the server brought a flute glass and poured literally two fingers worth of the Saint Laurent for me as a "gesture." Really?! This was so cheap, so petty. The owner(s) would do well to replace their manager, Sam, as she has no idea how to keep or cultivate well-paying regular customers. Shame.

Yelp
Cute little champagne bar! Good for couples because it's just a few bar seats and small tables. Giving 4 stars because if you book a reservation there's a $25 per person cancellation fee... which is crazy. Also no one picks up the phone if you're looking to move your reservation to a new time.

Yelp
What a fun find! Great for pre or post dinner bubbles or snacks. Friendly knowledgeable staff with a big menu to choose from - you can go big or get a $17 glass, it's all good. Tiny space but packs a lot of charm.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots for superb Drinks and snacks. Right off Broadway serving champagne, wine and cocktails. Amazing team and such ambiance!

Yelp
Omg this place makes me wish I lived here again. Gorgeously luxe interior that immediately lets you know you are in for An Experience. I have family that lives nearby and they pointed out this new little gem while shopping around downtown. Reservations for 4ppl or less were easy on their website (Resy) and we were all set to go at 10pm on the Friday night before xmas and then the storm happened and we changed our plans to stay in. We decided to do a champagne and caviar night at home so after stopping and getting some special champagne, we called over to see if they could somehow make anything to-go. The person on the phone explained that they could package to takeout! We were thrilled! Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly woman who hooked us up with owner, Zac. He explained what was available and then the differences. Because we had one or two ppl whose first time trying caviar, Zac recommended the best and I agree. I wanted to make sure "Baby's First Caviar," as Zac put it, was the best we could get. Zac packaged up an order of Osetra on ice, complete with creme fraiche with chives, and salted chips and we were on our way. We walked out and immediately we both said "omg we LOVE him" and can't wait to come back to chill in their beautifully appointed yet cozy space. Amazing addition to the area and I expect nothing but greatness for this spectacularly upscale and refined establishment. He even threw in a MOP spoon for serving! Thank you! I will return and highly recommend!

Yelp
What a gem! Grab a seat at this cozy bar that feels at once like you're at home in your mother's kitchen but also at a high end champagne bar. The offerings are delightful. The staff - Jane was our sever and she was amazing - is kind and knowledgeable. Go here and just have the best of nights. The most perfect of places.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for an after dinner drink. Excellent list of sparkling wines by the glass and great list of bottles. We had just had dinner so didn't get the charcuterie but the guests the next table did and it looked terrific. Next time. Great ambiance, music and a knowledgeable host. We will be back next time we're in Saratoga Springs.

Yelp
Bocage Champagne Bar opened just a few weeks ago in downtown Saratoga. It's a small and cozy spot (only enough room for 26 people) with a selection of sparkling wines with some still wines from NY on their by the glass list. We stopped in last night for some drinks after dinner. We asked for recommendations for both of the sparkling wines we tried and they were both great! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area, and I think it is a great addition to downtown Saratoga!

Yelp
Stopped in this evening for a quick glass of bubbly after a day of sightseeing in the area. Ended up staying several hours. We loved the ambiance and the champagne. Sam and Liz were very knowledgeable and each recommendation was superb. We enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese plate, but the personal connection was what made it special. I wish we were locals so we could come back regularly! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
I walked in last night with my sister who was only in town for the day traveling up to lake George for her mini moon. I wanted to treat her to champagne at bocage for one or two drinks. I had my newborn son with me and we were fine sitting at the window not at the bar and this lady that works there goes " sorry no strollers " so I said ok I can leave it out of the way.. and then she proceeded to say "no babies either" so basically I wasnt allowed because I had my child with me and he was sound asleep. she said it was busy and the rest of the chairs had reservations. First off, there were 6 open seats by the windows and secondly there was no reservation sign. We weren't planning to stay long, but for a mom who hasn't been out during maternity leave at all.. it truly would have been nice to have one drink... and that completely turned me and my sister off.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! We booked a slot for our large group of 11 for a bachelorette party and it was a fantastic decision. Both of the owners, Zachary & Clark were very helpful upon making my reservation and greeted us happily as we arrived. Jane was our server and she really topped off our experience. Being someone who doesn't know much about fine champagnes, and trying to manage a large group, she was SO sweet, patient and delightful. I would go back just because of her! Thank you so much Bocage!
