First time coming for Brunch and it was a great experience. The music was great. The ambiance was tropical and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back and experience more.

Went here for Brunch and got the Colombian steak and eggs, coffee, and "Blvd Mule". The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly the way I wanted (medium)it was also flavorful and juicy. The eggs like the steak was exactly what I wanted (over medium) and paired well with the steak. It also came with chimichurri sauce that was definitely home made and delicious. I also asked for hot sauce expecting something out of a bottle but instead was treated to a homemade hot sauce that had the right ratio of Heat to flavor and was also fantastic. For drinks I got a coffee water and a Blvd Mule the coffee was standard and good. The Blvd Mule was delicious and was a great after meal drink that wasn't overly sweet. The service was impeccable and I wanted for nothing. The establishment was clean and well organized. Overall I will be coming back with more people for brunch again!

Best place to celebrate, the atmosphere, the quality food, it’s taste and presentation are unique around the area. I really enjoy every time me and my husband get to spend time here. And YANETZI’S service it’s always the best. She makes you feel like at home 🏡🥰 ❤️‍🔥take a look at the pictures captions 👌🏼

Came here for a work party. The food was excellent! The aesthetics in the place were so nice. The server had a big attitude and basically told me to move out of the way because I was blocking the side of the already squished and small space we had to eat in. If the server wasn’t rude I would have given them 5 stars. The salad was gross but the steak was cooked to perfection alongside the fries and yummy Chimichurri sauce. The margarita was on point!!! All in all, a decent work party experience.

Google
It was good - we enjoyed our time at the restaurant, attention was good- place was clean the house drinks sounded great but not my favorites to the taste - however my friends choose the typical drinks as Margaritas and they loved them. I loved my salmon it was great, the ones that choose the chicken loved theirs too, and the ones that choose the beef were disappointed. Overall pleasant experience for a night out.

This is a lovely Latin Fusion restaurant in Jackson heights serving up some delicious Latin favorites! The drinks are super cute & taste amazing! Some of them are on the strong side, which is always a good thing ;) The Arepitas & the cheese fondue with crab meat were such great starters & the Bocaitio Bandeja Tipica is a must! They have happy hour on weekdays 3pm - 7pm. It’s Coquito season and they have some really good homemade ones so you definitely gotta try that while you’re there!

It’s good but it can be sooo much better to get those Five stars. Ordered wings and the tostones con ropa vieja. The tostones and ropa vieja were on point, but the wings are not house made they are from a bag of Tyson fried wings. Come on, you can do better than that. For the entrees we ordered Paella(which was perfect!), arroz chaufa (amazing!), Sea bass breaded with panko and coconut flakes (not crusted like it says in the menu, crusted and breaded is not the same thing) w/ shrimp on garlic sauce. Then again the sea bass was from a package from Dairyland,Cysco foods, or Baldor, it’s not made in-house. For what you pay they should make everything in-house. The staff it’s friendly and attentive, the drinks are good, the music was on point, bathroom was clean (the whole place was). So yeah, it’s a nice place to hang out and have drinks and a frozen bite. The frozen food just take away from what can be an amazing place. I will give it another chance and will try out more food items. I really hope they stay away from the frozen food, and make those place more original.

I think that this place has a good balance of nutritional meals. Depending on what you ask, it is balanced with vegetables. I ordered a burger and it was delicious. My friends also said that their meal was great. There is music, a bar, and an outdoor table service during the warm weather. The service was great in my opinion. The server was attentive and made sure that everyone was happy with their orders. You can go to this place for quick meals or just for drinks. You can have a nice time alone or with friends. The space is not too big but not too small. We went on a Friday after 5pm and it was ok, but when we left, it was full.

Yelp
Ate here with my family during the early evening and while the crowd was light, the staff were attentive. The food was tasty and managed to use a Yelp deal for a free drink.

Yelp
I have passed this place several times before but never had the opportunity to walk in. One of my coworkers threw a birthday party for her relative and used the back area for all her guests. It was decorated beautifully with a rain forest theme, had heaters which kept everyone warm and live music. The white sangria was very tasty and definitely creeped up on me. The calamari appetizer was a little chewy which I didn't love. I ordered a medium steak with fries but it came as medium rare so I had to return it back to the kitchen. Once they cooked it more, the steak was very tasty and they brought me a fresh batch of French fries which were salty and crispy. I would like to try other items on their menu so I will be returning.

Yelp
Came here the other night as part of the Tippler and this was a great find. Pros: + Extensive menu + Large portion - my paella had maybe 2-3 meals depending on how hungry you were + Gorgeous interior + Fun music - definitely a huge upbeat variety + Great drinks IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Yelp
Dropped in here a few weeks ago for some drinks and catching up with my friend that lives nearby. I think I had passed this a bunch of times in my adventures of going to Jackson Heights but never checked it out. One perk automatically, there's a check in special of a complimentary glass of Sangria! I haven't seen a check-in special in you don't know how long. It was really exciting. I went with the red sangria and then later ordered their take on a smoked old fashioned. Both were very potent and delicious. The aroma of the old fashioned was amazing. We also ended up getting a flan desert. Now this is going to sound ridiculous but I normally hate flan and this was really delicious. It had a texture that wasn't too jiggly and just creamy surrounded with beautiful strawberries and layered with caramel. It was almost more like a custard and I'll take custardy flan over jello flan every day. Their menu and brunch menu sounds delicious and would definitely think about coming back to try more.

Yelp
This place has a really nice and spacious seating area all the way in the back. The tables are spaced out well so you're not cramped next to other people. There's a TV in the back playing non stop music making your dinning experience much more enjoyable. I got the grilled salmon with mashed yuca and baked cheese on top which was absolutely amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. My fiancé got the skirt steak which I had a piece of and it was one of the best skirt steaks I have had in a while. I would definitely recommend getting the skirt steak here! The only downside here was their beer selection which consisted of about 5 regular bottles of beer, I guess I was expecting a wider or more local selectionS. The drinks seems to be very good here though!

Yelp
Finally made it in after years of having Bocaito bookmarked. Located in Jackson Heights, this restaurant and wine bar focuses on Latin American dishes including ceviche, arepas, tostones, empanadas, carne, and a variety of other favorites. I was originally smitten with a photo of the burger here, so I had to get one. It's big and juicy! Cooked medium just as requested. The classic LTO and slice of American cheese conjured nostalgic memories of burgers past. I also pigged out on fries, which were provided in abundance. The arepitas con ropa vieja were also good. Corn cakes topped with stewed meat, guacamole, and chorizo. Visually reminiscent of an open-faced slider or an avant-garde eggs benedict. Flavor and texture were satisfying, though I preferred each ingredient more on its own than in conjunction. The ceviche de pulpo was, perhaps, not for me. I didn't particularly enjoy the taste or texture of this one. That's not to say someone else wouldn't like this dish but I wasn't blown away. Happy hour drinks were cheap and delicious, and the backyard patio seating was great until a torrential downpour of rain flooded the area and we had to relocate indoors. Service was gracious and attentive. I'm happy to have gotten a chance to eat here.

Yelp
Really friendly service and nice drinks! Seemed authentic with a modern twist in decor and drink options. Had a lot of local regulars, but welcomed us with attentive and kind service. We came only for the PULSD drink passport, but I would return for food.

Yelp
Chris has been coming here for years. He has had food catered from here to friends' parties, so we had the birthday party for the two birthday boy's (different year same day) mix drinks were delicious. Food was responsible priced and filling. This Los Angeles yelper enjoyed his NYC dinner & visit.

Yelp
Great food and drinks were delicious especially the lychee martini. Wowzer the prices were pretty high and I expect place to be packed. Good for date night

Yelp
The food and the service is absolutely excellent. This place is super trendy. It almost gives Astoria vibes. This is a great place to catch up with friends or have an intimate party in the back. This is also a great night spot.

Yelp
The food here is really good. The ceviche was bomb, considering a lot of places mess it up. Will definitely get it again if I come here. I had 2 drinks a coconut mojito which was great and it was my favorite. I also had a blackberry mojito which was also good. The drinks are a little more expensive than other places I've been too, but the flavor is good. I had the skirt steak with Yuca which was amazing and a good portion. My fiancé had the salmon he said it was amazing, it had something I'm allergic to so I couldn't taste it, but the presentation was wonderful. They include 20% tip and something called delivery fee apparently if you pay with credit card as per the waiter. The fee was like $3.64. That was a little weird but not a big deal, as it's basically only $4. I would definitely come here again. Well I'm going again for the skirt steak and the ceviche lol

Yelp
Never fails! They are amazing... Great food, large portions, and great drinks. The people there are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Yelp
this is the best authentic Spanish cuisine that I've tried since I been back in town!!!

Yelp
Small local spot, good food and drinks. Limited street parking. The platters are great for groups, everything was delicious, a very generous portion. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly, arepas melt in your mouth. Awesome drink presentation. I had the La Santa which is like a spicy margarita, my friends love the Blvd mule, they also serve a mega mule which serves about 6.

Yelp
The appetizer (ropa vieje con tostones) was good but lacking any distict flavor and the pork chops were amazing, juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the salmon was dry and, while the sauce did help, i left half my food. The outside patio was nice but my son got a mosquito bite and I had a fierce fight with a persistent bee circling my food. Risk of eating outdoors. The waitress was pleasant and the food came out quickly. On a personal note, eating out is expensive so the food needs to be worth it. Bacaito can be good but depends on what you order.

Yelp
Do NOT book a private party here. My husband booked for my surprise 30th. He spent the majority of the event communicating issues to the manager. We had ONE single server for 45 guests. We had to constantly ask for drinks, although "botomless" drinks were advertisted. Kids' table received soda after 30 minutes, but no cups. My husband went to grab plastic cups himself to serve the kids. Incredibly unprofessional. Food was served after over 3 hours. The manager stopped answering eventually. Guests were starving. DO NOT book any private room event here.

Lionel J.

Yelp
Came here on a date night after my wife saw this place on her tik tok. Parking sucks! took us about 45 mins to find parking but what do you expect it is Astoria/Jackson heights queens area. Service and food was sub par. Mussels smelled and tasted rotten and the kalamari was so tiny. Now for the kicker I get the bill and notice the prices are different than the prices on the menu. Also they took it upon them selves to add in their own gratuity mind you it was just my wife and I dinning. I thought that was customary for larger groups, overall I was hugely disappointed it's very sad because tik tok made this place look so good I will not be returning!

Yelp
Excellent service, great music, great vibes, loved the food... shout-out to Pily! Will come back!

Yelp
I used to love coming to this place , but the last time I was on 02/04/24 both of the waitress treated us so unprofessional. They served everything almost all at once didn't even let us eat the appetizers, we got the the main plate right after , because they felt like it and the drinks they just took it from the the table and we were not even done .

Yelp
Great spot for a quick lunch, menu had a variety of Latin American favorite dishes, and fresh juices available too. Indoor seating requires proof of vaccination, outdoor backyard patio and front dinning enclosure in Northern Blvd. We shared empanadas and tostones with fresh guacamole. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and filled with delicious chopped grilled Adobe chicken. 3 large empanadas served with spicy pepper sauce. The tostones were served in two sizes and on top freshly made guacamole. Don't forgot to ask about fresh jugos (juice), I had passion fruit, which was perfect for the hot humid August day.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a good Latin food option among many in the neighborhood. They have outdoor seating and the vibe is very lively. This is a good lunch spot with lots of food options. Why they didn't get 5-stars: The vibe is lively, which I like, but I don't know if it calls for the music being so loud when I'm trying to have a nice conversation. The food is good, but a bit overpriced for the neighborhood.

Yelp
Just casually walking around Jackson Heights, I walked in to try this place. We were greeted and seated in their patio. This is a cute, quaint place to go to. Janexi was our waitress and she was very friendly, attentive and informative. We ordered 2 rounds of Mojitos of passion fruit and strawberry which were delicious! For appetizers, we had calamari which were okay but very well done. I checked in and received my free sangria from Yelp which was awesome! We went ahead and ordered Entrees as the place was getting filled with people. We ordered Pechuga a la plancha with rice and beans, steak and shrimp, sweet plantains and montaditos. All of the entrees were full of flavor and mouthwatering! A variety of music played in the background as the waitress checked in every so often. We ordered another round of drinks, this time it was Henny colada, gravity and rumba. The drinks do not disappoint here! They are great! Before leaving we received tequila shots to end the night! I will definitely come back for Brunch or Karaoke!

Izzy

Yelp
NEVER book here for a private event! By far the worst service I've ever experienced. The food was not any good either.

Yelp
We stumbled into this place and I'm glad we did! As soon as we came in we were warmly greeted and sat at the bar. The bartender Pablo was amazing and very attentive. The food was sooooooo good! We got the Colombian platter and it was so much food! Definitely can be split between 4 people. Everything was delicious.

Yelp

Yelp
I've been here about 4 times. 3 of those times for brunch. The food is always consistent and very tasty. Definitely a place for solid Spanish food if you are in the mood. However, if you are an avid bruncher this place requires patience. If you come with a group of friends they will give you a pitcher of sangria. But if you try going for seconds or thirds get ready to wait an extremely long time. First time I went there for brunch my guy friends got up and went straight to the bar to ask for our pitcher to be replenished. Only after the waitress purposely was taking her time to bring a refill. Restaurant wasn't busy for there to be delays. After 20 minutes of waiting they got up and went for the bar. We continued our service in this manner for the rest of the brunch because it seems the staff is told to kill time before they replenish your drinks. Second brunch visit (because food was great the first time), we knew what we were dealing with. So after they started the waiting game back to the bar we went. If you offer bottomless brunch for certain amount of time then it should be bottomless. Don't play games and give the people what they came to get. I came for dinner for the first time and service and food was excellent. It was happy hour till 9pm for ladies. That's pretty cool, many places don't offer that in queens. I had the special of the night which was pernil. Be mindful you get a whole shank so it will take a while to cook. It was deliciousness in my mouth, with rice and maduros. The maduros were at perfect stage of ripeness. Saw many mixed app platters passing by. They looked amazing. Definitely something I will try next time. As I haven't been there in over a year for brunch I can't say the drink delays is a continued practice. When I partake on brunch again and if there is significant improvement in that regard I will provide an update.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and the ambiance is always good. They have great food and drinks. The service is always good. Carlos was very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
After many years I came to celebrate my birthday with my family, and the experience wasn't to good. The service is not 100%. They forget everything you asked them!!! If you need water they don't give water because they are on the phone or talking between them. Years ago I used to recommend this place to friend because the food was great, but this time the chicharrón on my plate came burnt tasted so bad not crunchy at all. Had a little inconvenience with the Server... Sadness she didn't receive a little extra from my husband for being shameless and with very bad attitude. Please I will recommend everyone to always check the bill...

Yelp
Excelente lugar y el servicio, Pily la mesera fue súper amable y tiene una vobra espectacular y ni hablar de la comida, BUENÍSIMA!!!

Yelp
This has been my favorite spot in Queens ever since they opened their doors for the first time in 2014! I'm so glad they've opened again after the unfortunate, unexpected, and difficult COVID19 Times. Their service, food, and drinks seem to be getting better and better as I could see how their staff work really hard as a team to provide us customers with the best service possible despite the many demands and regulations of local government. Yes, it is true that opinions are subjective. I, however, would strongly recommend the reader to simply visit this place, try their food (anything in their menu ...EVERYTHING IS SOOOO GOOD), have a drink (ask for their BLVD MULE; you can thank me later), and just chill in their cozy patio; I'm sure you'll agree with me in many ways. Keep up the amazing work guys! This place is really a gem in Queens....a gem in NYC! Can't wait for you to reopen inside dining again (if/when permitted).

Yelp
We ended up coming here for a quick Queens brunch. As for me, gone are the days of the era of Don Coqui, Sofrito and Mama-Juana themed restaurants. I really wanted to enjoy Bocaito more than I did, as it was recommended by my fiance's friend. I left somehow, not impressed. There were some positive draws, such as the option of the bottomless brunch, and the food selection was pretty good. We also appreciated the service, as it was solid. As for the quality of food. I say it was above average, with good presentation. Also I couldn't rate the cocktails, because we didn't order drinks this time... I know! What a surprise, right!? And shame on you for thinking otherwise! =) I would consider this place, a happy hour after work special if you will. You may even try it on the weekend for the bottomless brunch. I would not necessarily be inclined to bring a date, though, as there are much better options for date night. Overall, I would say Bocaito is pretty solid and it has a lot to offer, however I would be lying to say that I haven't seen it before and probably done better.

Cristal R.

Yelp
This is what they call a lump crab tower-I know tuna when I taste it lol. Drinks are ok though and vibes are good but didn't appreciate the dishonesty. #tunaguac

Yelp
Absolutely the best food every single time. Nothing is ever bad and drinks are also fantastic . Great Spanish joint that is a hidden gem

Yelp
One of my favorite local spots, small, cozy & amazing service. I love when it's summer because then their patio in the back is open. The service is always amazing. I recently went for Valentine's night for my friend's bday, I was able to get a 10:30pm reservation through DM on Instagram. The menu was out of this world. I had the Lobster mac & cheese with filet mignon & my friend had the Skirt steak with yuca mash. My drink was a coconut mojito (strong) I believe, but my favorite drink there is the rumba. Never tried brunch there, but dinner & happy hour is on point !
google avatar

Mercedes R.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this small and cozy restaurant. I made reservations for 13 guests this past Saturday. I highly recommend the Bocaito platter which feeds 5-6 ppl. The drinks were good and the entrees (although they took almost 45min) were all delicious. The vodka Rose was strong and yummy! They have outdoor seating which is super cute but the weather was a bit chilly so we sat inside. Swing by you won't be disappointed

Ana R.

Yelp
Place is very small inside, the patio is bigger with a roof and nice aesthetics. Drinks were weak could barely taste the alcohol. Food I give it a 5 was missing flavor. Had the arepas with ropa vieja and the arepa was super burnt, the chicken empanadas and beef barely had any flavor only the dipping sauce was spicy and flavorful. The Churrasco was bland barely any flavor the chimichuri sauce helped a little bit not the best. The yuca mash was delicious. Wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Bocaito is such a hidden gem in Jackson Heights, Queens! The food here is DELICIOUS and I love it because it is a fusion of Latin cuisine. They have amazing cocktails and the staff is super friendly and fun! I absolutely love their dinner and brunch. So many great options to choose from! Def recommend trying their shrimp canoes, empanadas, ceviche, tres golpes for brunch, and the crab meat tower! Really everything! They also celebrate birthdays and play good music! Check them out!

Yelp
My daughter and I were waiting for a car dealership to finish her paperwork so, we decided to Yelp a restaurant in the area. After reading reviews and the guy at the dealership recommended Bocaito. We were truly satisfied with our meals, I had the arepitas con ropa viejas, it was really good, my daughter had the salmon with pineapple salsa and quinoa, she loved it. We had drinks that didn't satisfy us, if I'm spending $24 for two drinks, I want to feel that drink, otherwise I can order juice. Overall, a nice place, I will be returning with my family.

Robin B.

Yelp
Me and girls came on a last minute girls night out......the food was delicious except for the chicharron which was too dry and overcooked. Other than that will be coming back. Oh we ordered the picada Colombian for 4.....$40.00 Which was plentiful and worth the price.

Priscilla R.

Yelp
Came here for a bachelorette brunch. One of our friends was vegan and wanted a dish with just avocado and waitress was rude about giving her a salad with avocado (she said they had none but one of our others friends taco order came with a side of guac). The bartender/ server was amazing (not sure what her problem was). The food left much to be desired. The drinks kept coming for bottomless which was amazing. I had the paella which was probably the smallest serving and worst I've ever had. Overall not a favorite brunch spot.

Yelp

Maija P.

Yelp
I made plans with friends to have lunch at Bocaito on a Friday. Their Instagram stated that they opened at 2pm, but since establishments are just starting to reopen fully due to COVID, I thought it best to call to confirm. I called on the Thursday before and was told that they would open at 2pm the following day. When my friends and I arrived at 2pm on that Friday, I was informed that they did not open until 3pm (rudely I might add), which left my friends & I searching at the last minute for another place to have lunch. This unprofessionalism causes me to not recommend them & rate them with the lowest star available.

Yelp
Must say it's a nice small spot between many other restaurants in the area. We were greeted as soon as we entered definitely a plus. Wish they would've had available seating outside, but we were seated right away. The atmosphere was good, music is a bit too loud. Food was flavorful and tasted fresh. I was not crazy about the pechuga rellena its bone in meat definitely not what i expected, overall everything else was delish.
