"Boca Grill's mantra is "In Arepa We Trust," which is a good indicator that it takes its arepas seriously. The Latin American fusion restaurant is in the heart of Doral serving classic Venezuelan food. Think interesting spins on the arepa like an arepa burger or one filled with Lomo Saltado." - Eater Staff

Food was very good! True Peruvian food with real flavor. Service was great by the entire staff. We went at lunch when it wasn’t too busy when we got there but definitely filled up soon.

Besides been a little over the top, the food its really good. The milkshakes and the hamburgers are the main attention getter, the rest of the menu holds its own. My brother got the damn hamburger and oreo shake, i had the bandeja paisa and green tea with passion fruit. With tip, it was over 100 dollars but it was decent quality and not something we would eat every day.

Tyler Schaffer

Google
Delicious food with a Venezuelan vibe. Wide variety of flavors, and although it can be pricey, you get your money's worth with big portions! We tried the Surf and Turf and Tostones Sampler and it was amazing. Would go again!

Adrian Oliva

Google
Great food great ambiance. Got the llevano plate to share and everything was great. Chicken was tender and flavorful.

Amy Bonacum

Google
Stefany was amazing. The food was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

David Fendley

Google
Milo and I had a blast. He had the chicken and then some of my food as well. Meat, only of course. I really liked everything. Great place. Thank yall.

Google
What a great place, service was spectacular and super suggestions for some of the best Venezuelan food in Miami. Totally recommend, Ricky was amazing in helping us understand the menu and provided us with excellent service. We really enjoyed our dinner and I'm sure you would enjoy the great selections of authentic food. I definitely recommend the arepas.. They advertise them and they are good for that very reason They are authentic.

Google
This was my first time visiting Bocas Grill and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The parilla mixta is a good choice if you want to try different items. It is shareable and will fill you up. I highly recommend the desserts. You have a variety of options, my personal favorite is the Oreo milkshake. Be prepared to leave with a full stomach. I will definitely be back for more!

Victor S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and packed full of flavor. We ordered the Surf & Turf, tostones w/ steak plus a Boca salad. The plates are generous portions enough food for two hungry adults. The server was attentive and polite. I recommend this food establishment.

Emily T.

Yelp
Just had the most incredible dinner experience! From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service, every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious!

Lazaro G.

Yelp
By far the worst Steak House I've ever been to, ordered a 12 oz Skirt Steak, and got some crappy cheap cut that was about 8oz, $47.00 and I had was the steak and water, that's it.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
I ordered from the lunch menu today and the food was delicious. The place looks nice and clean. I would definitely return . The only thing I didn't like was when I walked in I wasn't greeted nor asked do I need help or if I'm picking up or something. I placed my order online and my food and drink was on the counter ready (My name was on the bag) . Great but I could've been anybody walking in and could've taken someone's food . The ladies didn't even ask me if it was mines or show them some type of proof or thank you . Didn't even acknowledge me.

Roberto A.

Yelp

Barbara L.

Yelp
The food is amazing, but dont expect it to be reasonable. Wait for the check! The ambience is ok. Waiters are excellent. Wouldn't return.

Yara K.

Yelp
We walked over there from the Aloft Hotel, and found the quiet little place in a strip mall near a bunch of warehouses. The menu was extensive and I couldn't decide. The server helped me find an authentic Venezuelan dish to try. It was one of the many arepas. Oh my goodness - AMAZING! My husband had a shrimp fried rice dish that was also amazing. My kids had some kind of shredded meat with rice and beans and plátanos maduros. The plátanos were cooked perfectly but I didn't taste the other parts of their meals. They loved every bit of it though. My daughter ordered a Nutella milkshake. It was served with a giant brownie on top and a scoop of ice cream, and was the best. To top it all off The service was fantastic. If we lived here we'd be coming here regularly. Highly recommended.

Jay S.

Yelp
Been to several Bocas and this one was by far the worst. Decided to grab some take after an airport run. The meal in this picture was $30. The beef was over cooked and chewy and they give you basically a couple of spoons of rice. Seriously? Definitely will not return.

Claire T.

Yelp
The chicken and Mac and cheese was amazing. I also ordered the skirt and it was really good. Important to mention the service was really good and fast! Staff speaks both languages and they are friendly :)

Glen C.

Yelp
I had for brunch a cachapa and passion fruit, it was amazing. As Venezuelan we love cachapas. Then I finish with a tres leches, it was so delicious! Food was served in time, no waiting time and the place was clean. If you want to try a very tasty a delicious food with Latin fusion this is the place to go! Thank you to my server she made a wonderful lunch break. Thank you Katherine

Gabriela S.

Yelp
Our experience here this time was fantastic. We love this restaurant and it's one of our favorite Venezuelan spots around the Doral area. They're so oriented to detail that you truly feel the customer service orientation. Betania did a wonderful job taking care of us. What a wonderful addition to the Boca's Team. She noticeably gives her best while she works there. She recommended us another restaurant with the same owners that we haven't tried and sure will go, as every alternative owned by this family is fabulous. The food was fantastic. Perfect way to start the Christmas' Venezuelan traditional meal tasting :)

Rachel P.

Yelp
Heard of this place since they are the sister company of Bocas House. Decided to try this more casual joint and see how it is. Food was ok. The congri rice was literally white rice and black beans mixed together, I mean, literally, mixed together. We could've done that ourselves! When we began eating the rice, there were sections that only had plain white rice. It was so weird! The burger I had was good but very undercooked. Dessert was fine though and the server was sweet. She was attentive enough. One thing though - at the end, we noticed a piece of something on the floor with a swarm of ants coming and going from it. It was disgusting. How long was it sitting there for these ants to have their little trail leading up to it?! This pushed my review down to 2 stars instead of 3. :(

Suki P.

Yelp
Came here for the 2nd time and was disappointed yet AGAIN! Came in on a Sunday around 1:30pm and had the worst experience... sat at the table with no one even offering water... I had to ask... servers just standing around looking lost... family with screaming kid was ruff but we can't control how parents choose to let their kids act in public... ordered a few items The sampler was bland The stuffed arepas plain tasting -asked server to put everything to go the service was so bad and slow and the screaming 4 year old was unpleasant... Fried seafood rice was packed up along with the rest of the crap I ordered... got home and started to eat and that rice was so freaking salty... I couldn't eat it at all! Safe to say we are Never coming here again...

Joel M.

Yelp
Loved the food!!! From the outside it didn't look to promising but once they brought the food it was fantastic!! And I mean FANTASTIC!!

Cristian S.

Yelp
I get hungry thinking about it. Ok you HAVE to go here if you're in Miami. Doesn't matter which location, just go! Great quality food. Lively atmosphere. Phenomenal service. Exceptional presentation. I can brag all day, but here are some of the visuals. That's the churro milkshake and it's SO GOOD Get an appetizer. Order your main entree. Then get dessert. Worth EVERY calorie.

Javier C.

Yelp
Excellent food either meet or saldas you won't be disappointed. Ask for Katherine! She will give you a vero good service!!! I definitely recommend this place!

Camila M.

Yelp
Everything pretty good! also we got our dessert free for my husband birthday. Our server was Katherine.

Natalia R.

Yelp
Their flavor is on point. The seasoning and juiciness of their steak was unbelievable. I had a delicious mix of flavors that blended together perfectly with the lomo (steak with sauteed peppers and onions) and the wok noodles with white sauce. The cherry on top was the Oreo milkshake with the chocolate churros- OMG! Too good for words!! The shakes are a must to get while at Boccas. They're famously known for them and with reason. Everything seemed to be outrageously good, except that as soon as I was done with my meal I immediately felt sick. So much so that I've never felt that sick before. Funny enough, out of the group of 5 people 4 (including me) felt sick. The four of us were trying from each other's plates so we're not sure what did it but you've been warned. If it wasn't for that, I would rate them a five star.

Pablo E.

Yelp
This place has good food and it's in a good location, the service is also great but 4 out of the 5 people in my party got sick rights as we finished eating. Not sure if it was the lomo or all the sauces they add to almost every plate but I will not be coming back here. Also, yelp shows a 10% OFF coupon but you will NOT be able to use it given they are not working with yelp.

Meli R.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious .... but... four out of five people in our party got EXTREMELY sick immediately after eating here. I'm not sure what it was... but everyone including myself felt sick afterwards. Pros: Great service and food was delicious Cons: We felt sick afterwards They are not working with yelp anymore. So don't order through here and if you Che k in they don't allow the 10% discount Won't be going back.

Paulette C.

Yelp
Excellent place! Good quality/price and the portion are huge! I will definitely come back to taste other plates!

Katherine S.

Yelp
Update- I keep giving this place a chance because it is so close to my job but I give up. I placed an order through postmates and they took an hour to prepare tequenos, a chicha and a fried rice with chicken lunch special. When my food finally arrived, there was three tiny pieces of chicken in the rice! Why even call it chicken fried rice?? I'm just going to try another location from now on. Old review- I love this spot solely for their delicious Chicha. Sooooo good! However, it is a bit pricey for what you get. I understand it's high quality ingredients but you really don't get that much. I have tried a few items on their menu and the Bocas Burger is great and so are the stuffed arepas. There is a bit of a language barrier if you do not speak Spanish but I guess it comes with the territory. Overall a decent spot for lunch but not anything special.

Ivette T.

Yelp
First time coming to Bocas grill since I had only been to Bocas house before. There's definitely not as many items on their menu compared to Bocas House but still the most popular items and desserts are offered. I had the arepa llanera and though tasty it fell apart in 1 bite since the bottom arepa was broken. The best dessert I've tried here is the Oreo & chocolate churros milkshake- I'm usually not a churro fan but these chocolate ones are delicious! The prices are reasonable with the quantity of food given.

Javier G.

Yelp
Everything is very a delicious. Really recommend it to any one. Awesome service by Katherine. Will de

Yelp
Newest update: My son couldn't wait to come here for our semi-annual visit from out of state. Menu changes made it a little difficult as we are typically the people that stick to the same thing. Our food was good, but my pasta dish could have used more pasta, or less sauce. My boys were disappointed that they know longer offer the Nutella crepe. That was one of their favorites. The Arepa app was still there, so as always, those were good. We tried to come here on Sunday night, but the wait was too long. Also we came back Monday night. We were promptly seated. Service was friendly and quick. The food was very good and good portion sizes

Marla V.

Yelp
Decided to try Bocas Grill for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. We started out with the arepitas which were fried perfectly and the aioli sauce was the perfect compliment. For our main course, we split the arroz chaufa de lomo which was just the right portion. Dessert was a Bocas Grill shake which was out of this world! We couldn't even finish it. Our server was friendly and we were in and out pretty quickly.

Jojo S.

Yelp
After the bad experience with having to wait for our order we discovered that they messed up 2 items (left off ingredients). I was really upset and called the restaurant. The manager was very polite and apologized for all the problems we had and refunded us for the 2 incorrect dishes. The food is good, I guess it was not our day yesterday.

Carmen Z.

Yelp
I ordered the first item off the lunch special menu. I can't exactly remember the name. It was called Something Meat. It contains 6 oz of picanha, rice, fried yuca, a piece of arepa, egg and salad, all for $14.99. It was a pretty good amount of food. I feel like I would be able to share with a friend and still feel pretty full. I only ate half the amount. The picanha was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. I asked for my egg over medium, but they cooked it more, but it still tasted fine. I thought the rice was well seasoned. Ask for cilantro sauce for the fried yuca, it's phenomenal. I also ordered a passion fruit juice. It was decent. I wouldn't say its the best I've had but it'll do. The service was pretty good as well. I wish I got a chance to try their milkshakes but was too full by the end. Next time!

James G.

Yelp
The food was ok but the service was pretty bad. Got nothing but attitude from the hostess and the waiter. After two visits there will not be a third if the service doesn't improve. La comida no era mal pero el servico no era muy bien.

Kenya C.

Yelp
Service was ok, it was lunch time when I went. I really liked the chicha and cilantro sauce.. my meat was a bit undercooked for my taste..

Kristin S.

Yelp
Came back to give this another shot and this time with a bigger group of people. 1. We called ahead time to see if we could get a reservation and how long the wait would be. We were told it would be 10 minutes. Little did we know that when we arrived the woman who answered our called lied. She stated she only told us 10 minutes so we could go there and that it would be 15 minute wait. But guess what!? It was over an hour wait again! I just can't believe that they would lie to get customers in the door. We chose this place over another place to eat, but next time I won't be coming back here. 2. The attitude of the servers is horrible. They roll their eyes at you and pretty much don't look like they want to be there. Little do we know the reason they don't put effort or care into their job is because when we got the check we found out we were charged 20% gratuity automatically. They don't even deserve that 20% Gave this place a second a shot and I won't be coming back again.

Chris S.

Yelp
Let me just start off saying the food here in really amazing. I would have given 5 stars but it took us about 45 min to get our food. It is pretty busy for 10pm on a Saturday. We ordered the Tostones con Lomo Encebollado which is.Fried green plantains with beef tenderloin in a bed of shredded white cheese, onions and sauces. AMAZING!!!!! Good for 3-4 people as appetizers or a meal by itself. We also ordered Parrilla Mixta Bocas Grill that is 8 oz. de carne, 8 oz. de pollo, 1 chorizo, tostones, yuca, guasacaca, aguacate, arepitas, queso guayanes, nata y alioli de cilantro. 8 oz. skirt steak, 8 oz. chicken, 1 sausage, fried green plantains, yucca, guasacaca, avocado, arepitas, white guayanes cheese cream cheese and cilantro aioli. Server said this was for 2 people but more like 3-4 especially if you get an appetizer. This was also amazing and a great way to share. If you don't mind waiting for the food you really need to try this place.

JC N.

Yelp
So the long awaited Bocas Grill adventure has been a complete success. My family and I went to Bocas Grill for lunch on a whim. My wife had the Reina Pepia, my daughters both had the Pelua, and I had the Catira. Let me bring by saying it is a generous portion of cheese, oh yeah and meat. I also my meal with Chicha....BAMM!! For dessert my girls ordered a chocolate shake, I think they really enjoyed it. I must say that the food here is really good. We will definitely be back again, maybe for breakfast next time.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Outstanding service. Environment very nice and relaxing. Food is delicious fresh and explosive with flavors! Constantly filling up your water cups, And the place has so much movement people in and out! Great sign Outstanding food!

Tatiana C.

Yelp
First time at Bocas Grill and I got to say will be repeating. Tried the tostones with lomo saltado (pic) and it was delicious. Very cheesy and lomo on point. Sangria is delicious and tequeños crispy, hot and yummy. Service was amazing. Shout to our waiter Luis Manuel for the recommendations and great service. Will be back. PS. Place is small so larger groups should maybe call ahead to get seated.

Mercy R.

Yelp
Place has good food! Appetizers we had the cheese tequenos and they were delicious. I ordered the lomo saltado and it was yummy My girlfriend ordered the fried green plantain with lomo she liked it Service was good had a lemonade it was yummy

Andrea C.

Yelp
I really love this place, the food and the service is really good. I just want to suggest to clean the high chairs, because of covid i clean everything and was really dirty

Stefano G.

Yelp
Clean place, great service, great food. Tasted fresh and not over seasoned. Not tasty enough for wife's palate but she would return for the strawberry or mango juice and the fried arepitas. I could only enjoy 1 because family couldn't keep hands off them. Even kids chicken fingers were great.

laura l.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge disappointment. We waited about 45 min for a table on a Sunday night. We ordered fried yucas, I gotta say they were pretty good, the sauce was in one of those little plastic dressing containers on the side of the plate, it looked very tacky. I ordered skirt steak, it was super salty and hard as a shoe sole, burnt to the point that couldn't be eaten. No need to say that I won't be coming back. The prices aren't what you can say cheap, $26 for a burned steak is not a great deal. The service was just ok, the sever didn't pay much attention to us, didn't come to our table to check on us at any time, but he was nice. The place is pretty small and the food todlonger than what I was expecting to arrive. Maybe they needed time to burn my steak lol

Guille O.

Yelp
They gave me the wrong plate so they could charge me more - they gave me the 3 person dish. Steak was way over cooked and really chewy. Everyone in our party hated the food Service is even worse.

Andrea E.

Yelp
Our first time at Bocas grill- amazing! We loved everything- and wish we would have saved room for dessert. Looking forward to coming back again and trying some of the other things on the menu. So much to choose form, this place has something for everyone. Loved the create your own breakfast! The tostones especiales, chicha de coco, and the arepas are perfect! Tostones and Tequenos are very fresh, and not like the frozen kind you get at most Miami places. We will be back!

Taylor A.

Yelp
Very delicious! My boyfriend and I love Bocas. Whether it's Bocas Grill or Bocas house. Getting the steak is always a must. I also really enjoy the chicken. Our favorite is to start off with some tequenos. As someone not from Miami, I never had tequenos until moving here. But the ones from Bocas are my favorite! (We couldn't even wait to eat them before taking a picture). The milkshakes here are very cute, and make a good photo opt. But they also are really delicious. Definitely recommend.

Cindy A.

Yelp
The place is great. Definitely big portions and shareable unless you have a big appetite. The entrees are a little pricey but definitely relative to the size. I always get their arepas! And this was my first time trying their lomo saltado... it was a bit too salty for me and lots of sauce, delicious nonetheless. Aside from that their staff is friendly and they always have good music playing. Will definitely visit their other locations!

Liza A.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD!!! Ask for the lunch special. It was great! Forgot to photograph the churros! So yummy! Used the yelp discount which also helped. This Venezuelan cuisine was delicious and prepared perfectly. Food was hot and ready. Also perfect for lunch break, quick and convenient.

Carolina C.

Yelp
Yummy! Food was incredibly delicious and everything was extremely fast. Alessandro was a wonderful waiter and I will definitely make sure to come back!

Kamini G.

Yelp
So, so good! Tried this for the first time - we had the tostones sampler - my boyfriend who doesn't even care to eat pork said the pulled pork was delicious! We also had two arepas - his with chicken, mine with beef and plantains. The absolute best was the desert - tres leches was the best we've ever had! We are definitely planning on returning.

Paulet D.

Yelp
Came for dinner and tried the sangria which was good, it was a pretty basic sangria. For appetizers we had the tostones with camarones which were actually pretty good. Also tried the lomo saltado, which I found a little dry and not as flavorful as the others. Also tried the arepa which was good too. The best part of the night was definitely the dessert, 3 leches cake was the best one I've had!

Jonathan L.

Yelp
The restaurant is easily located of 72 ave and lots of parking. The service was great and the food was like home made cooking. Bon appetite!

Andrea S.

Yelp
Today I went to Bocas for dinner and my expectations were exceeded with their arepa de carne mechada y queso rallado. It was the most perfect guilty pleasure. Not a place to go if you're trying to eat clean, as most of the menu has loaded foods similar to my meal. One arepa was filling and fair priced. Following, I had the cappuccino especial, which is served with Nutella & pirulín. It's a perfect balance between sweet and bitter from the coffee and is picture perfect. Definitely a good end to the meal. Disclaimer, they add tip in already. We were a table of three at the informal dining establishment and they already add in tip, which is not customary of these types of restaurants. It was fine because the service was good. Overall, my experience was great and I would return!

Charlotte C.

Yelp
We've been meaning to try Bocas for a few weeks now but always end up at the usual spots. So happy we took the leap of faith after a few recommendations and had an early dinner today! It's a cozy little spot, although I can imagine this place having long wait times during busy times. Between my husband, my son and I we started with the lomo saltado tostones (SO MUCH FLAVOR!!), then the 'fried rice' with all the proteins and the lomo saltado. Everything came out great, good portions and perfect with the salt (lately restaurants over all are going over hand with the salt). Then dessert. Wow. We weren't going to order dessert but they looked too good to pass up. We went with the original, hands down... TO DIE FOR!! Good thing we don't count calories on Sunday :) Would recommend and go back for a casual outing.
