I needed some place to dine in for a quick dinner until we wait for our daughters show at the aileys. I didn't have high expectations as there was no long wait time on Sunday night. Pleasantly surprised with the attentive service and great foods. I also appreciated they offer FREE filtered water which is very hard to find. Our dinner special of lobster and shrimp pasta was amazing. My parents are very picky when it comes to outside foods and we were all pleased. Would love to visit again for our next show.

Amazing decor and food. Stumbled on this restaurant while trying to decide on a place to eat, and moody decor and clean feel really drew us in. The food was amazing. The squid ink pasta with crabmeat had large chunks of crab, and is a must try. Our server was very friendly and suggested drinks. They hit the spot and were quite strong (not a complaint 🤣) Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area, the squid ink pasta might even be worth going out of your way for!

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant, celebrating our engagement that had just happened, and Fernando and Jesus made it unforgettable! Their customer service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel special. The food was outstanding, exceeding all expectations. They went above and beyond to make our celebration even more memorable. I can’t recommend this place enough! If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Thank you, Fernando and Jesus, for making our experience amazing!

Our first time here & it was a joy! Beautiful ambiance, delicious dishes, & the service was exceptional! We had the short ribs & chicken parm — recommend both! The Mt. Etna white wine was delicious. We both said, “We should have ordered the bottle!” Massive thank you & praise to our waiter, Giovanni! Friendly, hospitable, as well as above & beyond. As an Italian-American, it was beautiful to use & hear the Italian language in the restaurant. It makes it feel like an authentic experience! Can’t wait to come back for dinner & brunch. Pro tip: get the espresso martini! Grazie mille! ❤️❤️

We went as a family of four to the Chelsea restaurant. Really pretty inside, and quite large dining area. We were the first diners but as more people arrived they were all seated right around us which was odd, as there was so much space. I don't mind hearing others conversations but they were so loud and so close it just ruined what was a really nice ambience. That aside, the food was good without being excellent. Starters were huge and a main meal in themselves. There must have been 20 Calamari and 6 large meatballs as an example. No complaints from me there! The main meals needed more flavour as it was a little on the bland side. The Lasagne and Carbonara were OK, but definitely had better, so a little disappointed. The pizza was probably the best meal of the group. Cost was $250 which included a $50 bottle of wine. Overall it was good but not one I would book again.

This place has a nice appearance on the inside. However it’s pretty dark inside so it makes taking photos of the restaurant quite hard. Also the music is pretty loud so it makes it hard to hear what someone is saying even from across the table. I got my order wrong simply because it was too loud for my server to hear my order. The food for my meal was still good. I also ordered the espresso martini and the Verry Berry. Both were vodka based but be wary of the Very Berry. I couldn’t taste the alcohol so I didn’t notice the impact until I stood up.

We came for a couple drinks and appetizers around 5pm on a Tuesday. The wine selections were fine - both red and d white. We ordered some appetizers: calamari (which as fine), arancini ball, and bread. It may have been an office evening at the bar, but the few items we had were ok. I think we will need to visit another time and have a complete dinner experience

This was my first time dining at this establishment and it was lovely! The atmosphere is cozy as soon as you enter and the service was amazing. Giovanni was a complete gentleman and he was so fun to speak with. Eduardo was great in making sure that my sister and I were okay. The food and drinks were high quality and nothing was left on the table. I’m definitely coming here again to have brunch.

Came here before our show during Broadway Week. Make sure you go to any dinning at least 2hrs before your show so you can enjoy your meals. The calamari was really good; I'd give it a 9. Had a nice crispy fry batter on it. But that dipping sauce ... it's HOT (spicy)! If you can not bare spice I'd steer away from that one. The diavola pizza 10/10! Highly recommend this. I honestly coulda ate the whole thing but I did want to savor some for later. Service here was so so. Sometimes we could find our waiter and times we couldn't. It was very busy in there and PACKED. There was a wait that went out the door just to talk to the hostess regardless if you had a reservation or not. I would recommend a reservation especially on the weekends. Overall I'd recommend here and I'll probably check out their other locations too and see how the measure up to this one!

Bread tasted stale to me, really hard on the outside. Service was friendly There was a glass bottle of hot water instead of chilled water which was strange but our waitress did swap it out for us Limoncello drinks didn't taste like anything more than sprite with a lemon Main dishes were all delicious though!

This restaurant is absolutely perfect... I will try to return every time I am in NYC. The waitstaff is always friendly and welcoming, the inside is cozy and romantic, and the food is delicious. If you come in or order to-go for lunch they have a special that includes a pasta, starter, and dessert for a great deal! I chose the crabcakes, spicy vodka rigatoni, and tiramisu. All were thoroughly enjoyable and they had an array of options to choose from! Our favorite pastas are the spicy vodka rigatoni (perfectly cooked pasta in a rich creamy sauce, very light spice), and the gnocchi alla sorrentina (so delicious and covered in a robust red sauce). We've brought multiple groups to this restaurant and all were quite pleased with their meals!

Came here for bottomless brunch on a Saturday and it was super dead. Our party didn't mind though at all, and service was super quick as a result. The drinks were constantly flowing, and my pasta was DELICIOUS. Would totally come back here with friends!

came for a friends birthday on Saturday evening with a party of 9. we ordered a few table starters including calamari, ceasar salad, and aranchini. All the food came quick and super full of flavor - truly great starters here. for mains i shared a spicy rigatoni pasta with some people since portions here are huge and generous! it hit all the flavors being creamy, pasta being chewy, the sauce being the main character and so so delicious overall it was very cute and warm inside, staff was super kind, and a great experience in general. 10/10 recommend and would come back.

DELICIOUS, well portioned appetizers and entrees, servers well informed on the menu and ingredients, and buzzy pretty ambiance. My group loved our apps, pasta, and lamb. They do seem to make a lot of reservations at each 15-minute block which creates a bit of a frazzled environment when entering. Service was slow for Manhattan however anytime we flagged a busser they got the waiter's attention.

Tuesday night dinner at Bocca di Bacco & it was just alright... I love the dim vibe the spot has, but man was it hard to read the menus without having to turn on your phone's flashlight. Ordered the calamari for the table, lacked a lot of seasoning; super bland. The rest of the table enjoyed their entrees, but I thought my gnocchi was way to soft. Was sticking to the back of my mouth and felt like a mochi. Service was just alright. They did bring out some free dessert for us, which was veey sweet (+1) !!! Cool vibe, but will not be coming back. Thanks for having us!

The food was amazing and the portions were big. They made the tiramisu at our table. The lamb chops were very nicely cooked, moist. The ambiance was great were we sat, right by the window. We made reservation but were a bit early and they accommodated us. I highly recommend this place.

I came here for a late dinner alongside some friends. I usually don't get Italian food, so I was pretty excited to try more if it especially considering how amazing a lot of the Italian food I have tried before was. The restaurant was kind of dark, with candles providing a small amount of light alongside music that made it difficult to hold dinner conversations with. A lot of the items on the menu looked very tempting, though ultimately I got the gnocchi sorrentina. I've never tired gnocchi before so I thought this would be fun to try, and Bocca Di Bacco did not disappoint. My wait time was fairly long compared to the people around me, who got their food much sooner than me, but the blend of the potatoes and cheese was heavenly. It was also incredibly filling, and I had to get some of it to-go to eat later. Had it not been for the somewhat overstimulating environment in the form of the loud music and limited lights, I would have given this place five stars. I enjoyed my dinner and I would not mine coming back on my own or with a friend if I had the money for it.

I don't normally review chains, but I will give these guys props for serving huge portions of food at a time when mediocre Italian restaurants are charging $25+ for two bites of pasta. Like the Crostini Ai Funghi? Huge! Bigger than America's deficit. And the Tagliolini Neri con Granchio: more black tentacles than an octopus orgy. Ditto the Garganelli al Ossobuco but for veal. The service sucked--took us forever to get our bill--but as a pasta take-out spot, this is probably the best bang for your buck in the area.

I'm a big Italian food fan, and this spot did have a charming atmosphere with its dim interior lighting and cute bar. We visited with a party of 12, so it was quite a large group to serve. While the food was pretty good, there are other Italian spots in the Manhattan that have set the bar pretty high.

I had dinner here at my friend's recommendation. They made the reservations for our little group. Upon arrival, the main dining room was nicely decorated with a tin ceiling, butcher tables & bistro chairs & had soft lighting (the type that everyone looks good in). After being seated, we ordered a round of drinks & I had the watermelon sugar martini which was refreshing. We shared the arancini & burrata caprese appetizers. Both were very good & perfect sharing size. For entrees, I ordered the Branzino Cellini & it was perfection. The rest of my group enjoyed their entrees as well. We shared the chocolate cake for dessert. Yum! Our server was helpful & friendly. We went for a walk down 9th avenue afterwards because we were so full. Lol

Nice ambiance, a little dark and loud though so i think it's better for a party of 2. I got the pollo pazzo. it was yummy but def expensive because it's NY. Service was good but nothing super outstanding. Nice to try for once but no need to return

A wonderful restaurant in Hell's Kitchen! The ambience is so beautiful. Once we got seated, we were able to review the menu and order. The menu had so many options. The food was very good and portions were big. Overall a wonderful experience we really enjoyed. Oh and the desserts were so so good! I wasn't aware it was a chain but this location was awesome. Highly recommend!

Went last night before seeing the Michael Jackson play. It was packed!! We showed up late 30 minutes because getting a Lyft or Uber in NYC is a complete nightmare so ended up having to walk there. Thankfully they worked us in. I got the lasagna, which was excellent. My daughter got the sausage rigatoni, which is amazing. Overall friendly staff that didn't have to be with the chaos that ensued with everything with all the people waiting around. Nice Italian restaurant experience

Conveniently located in Hell's Kitchen, some of us had an amazing experience a few weeks ago and decided to do a repeat performance for brunch today at this popular neighborhood establishment off of 9th Avenue. Reservations were easily made via Open Tables. My partner, our friends and I were greeted warmly by the staff upon arrival at Bocca di Bacco and led to a table for 9 in the back, whose interior is quite dark and the AC could have been a bit stronger. Not the deepest menu, but some solid options with enough for even a picky eater to find something they will want. We decided on the Cheeseburger, Omelet, Classic Benedict, Avocado Benedict, Fried Chicken & Belgian Waffles, Side of Bacon, and Side of Sausage from the weekend brunch. A basket full of petite muffins started our meal. Everything was perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients and brought out at the same time. All throughout our meal, we never felt rushed nor had to ask for extra water; it was always brought promptly by the staff. They were accommodating, and our server was Mynor. The portions were reasonable. Price-wise, it wasn't cheap but was worth it. We continue to recommend this place.

Came here with some work friends and really enjoyed the food! We had a few appetizers which were good and my chicken parm was amazing and the portion size was gigantic! It was enough for dinner that night and lunch the next day. The desserts were just okay....we shared the tableside tiramisu which was fine, but not exceptional. The service was functional. That's about all I can say for it. Our server was brusque to the point of being dismissive and didn't want to answer any questions about the menu. We were not a high maintenance group (of three people) but it really felt like we were a heavy burden for him. I'd go back for the food, maybe to get takeout but if I went to eat and got the same waiter, I'd get up and leave and have dinner at El Centro down the block.

Wonderful Italian food in Hell's Kitchen! We came during restaurant week which had amazing prices and came with great desserts as well. The tuna tartare for appetizer was delicious and the rigatoni and steak were both very flavorful. Staff was amazing as well and the ambience of the restaurant is lovely - I definitely recommend!

Waiter was in attentive and food was not great. Everything was very slow with getting to our table. Food, drinks, silverware, bill, water, refills, etc. we had to get help from other waiters several times. Go somewhere else.

checked this place out after my friend posted about it on her instagram. the pasta was SO GOOD. it was probably the best rigatoni dish i've had so far. each individual rigatoni was covered entirely with its incredibly delicious sauce. whoever was on sauce duty that day needs a raise because that is what made the dish so enjoyable and whole. the mediterranean salad was pretty average and the portion was kind of small. it didn't stand out to me the way the pasta did. so if you do decide to come here, do yourself a favor and get the darn pasta!!!

Very good Italian food in Hell's Kitchen. We all had pasta dishes, the stand outs included the fettuccine with bolognese and rigatoni, both were excellent. The dining room has a cozy, upbeat vibe, and the service was on point. Also, we showed up 25 minutes early for our reservation but they had no problem seating out five top. Good spot for a family meal.

Bread on the table was charred on the outside and hard chewy inside with holes. I assume it was meant to be country bread but it just tasted burned. We were given a little can of olive oil but no butter. And no butter knife. So it is clear that we had to eat the bread alone or dip it in their olive oil. Not a promising start. Our appetizer was ok, but nobody gave us appetizer plates. We had to ask for an appetizer plate or else use our bread plate. We had to pour our own water from a bottle they put on the table. The entree was decent but the sauce was spicy and I don't recall a heads up to the spice on the menu description. The pasta was overcooked and not al dente Many better Italian restaurants out there. Won't be back. BTW - restrooms are down a long light of stairs- not ideal if you are mobility impaired.

We came here for a friend's birthday dinner, and luckily, we were able to get a table without having a prior reservation. The ambiance here is a nice, intimate vibe that would be perfect for a date night or a group celebration. I had the spicy mezcalita, and it was so good! We started out with the carpaccio di manzo and calamari. Both were very good, the calamari was the better option out of the two. I ordered the carbonara, the pasta was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful and creamy. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their food. We got my friend the chocolate cake as a dessert for his birthday and it was delicious. We also ordered the cheesecake, but it was not very impressive. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. The prices are overpriced as is expected for the area.

Cozy, warm restaurant and perfectly cooked pasta... who could ask for more on a cold day in NYC? I started my meal with an Aperol spritz, and ate the Linguine Vongole for dinner which was delicious. My friend had the vodka rigatoni which was also prepared very well.

Horrible place ..the good was terrible service was horrible..waited a good 20 minutes before anyone came to the table and when he finally did show up he said " do you want to order anything " ...really ...so rude. The eggplant parm was the most disgusting hot mess I have ever tasted. I big pile of what looked like sreamed eggplant piled up with a little cheese and sauce on top. They really need to look up that recipe....I was just so disgusted with the whole experience...had to ask for bread and the cheese and the salt and the water .....just horrible ...go spend your money somewhere else

Had a Sunday lunch yesterday. There was brunch menu but we chose from regular menu. I get calamari appetizers too often so this time change to grilled octopus. Octopus should be cooked raw or fast cook or cook it longer to be soft. I don't know how to prepare this but texture was excellent. Soft but kept flavor and that sauce worked perfect with the potatoes and celery. My hanger steak came medium though I prefer medium rare but since hangers thickness anyway makes keep cooking afterwards. Most important for me is flavor and this lightly tasted grill steak was so flavorful. I just couldn't finish this much fries. Chicken parmigiana with tomato sauce and cheese just good amount and not too salty but lightly grilled cheese made this excellent. Good food, drink and waiter service should get 5 star yesterday.

*Chef's kiss* Everything about this place was perfect; the ambiance, style of furniture, menu, etc. We started with a bottle of rosé as they didn't have the Prosecco, but it light and paired well with the dishes we ordered. They start you off with some bread and EVOO. Though the EVOO didn't have any herbs/spices, it was a nice way to start the meal. We ordered the pasta carbonara, the fettuccine bolognese, and the branzino cileno. Y'all, let me tell you that every single dish was made to perfection. They were not playing. Each pasta dish was some of the best pasta we've had. The carbonara is always a win for the most part, but the dish was creamy, yet buttery, and smooth. The bolognese had the perfect meat sauce with flavor. The branzino was fantastic. A whole hunk of fish that was light and flaky, pairing well with the capers. We ended with a warm chocolate cake that was fudgey and oh so chocolatey. We also ordered an apple samosa that had a delightful caramel sauce. If you're looking for some delicious food or just want a drink with a vibe, try this place.

Food was decent, but I was a little disappointed. My expectations were a little bit higher.

On our latest trip here the kitchen was super busy, so the restaurant messed up our order. However, they quickly corrected it in not even 3 minutes, and the food was delicious as always. We were ready to pay the bill and leave after a successful night out, however the manager sent over a plate of complimentary italian deserts and 2 free shots (it looked like an orange sorbet). The restaurant went above and beyond for such a small mistake, which we weren't even upset about! We will definitely be coming back here more often, definitely a 5 star restaurant for sure!

It was a little dark in the restaurant but the service and food was fantastic. Could not tell much difference between the hand made pasta and the normal pasta in the dishes we ordered.

Honestly I forgot to review this restaurant because it was quite mediocre. I went for restaurant week and I left disappointed. The drink was good but that was mainly it. Everything else was average or worse. The salad was not tasty. The shrimp was actually pretty good though. The pasta was not something I would write home about and the dessert was not that appealing or tasty. I would recommend a different Italian place (also this is a chain) instead.

My in-laws were visiting and staying in the Lincoln Center area. Bocca Di Bacco was one of the restaurants I took them to during their week-long visit. I had previously made reservations about a month in advance and was actually able to make a last minute change and snag a table for Father's Day. Staff were super nice and very friendly. Everyone was very efficient and we felt like dinner was well-run. To start, X and I split an order of the burrata, which was great. I had the Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce and X had one of the specials of the day, which was a mushroom truffle risotto. Both were fantastic. I'm actually really picky when it comes to vodka pasta and I enjoyed this one. We were too full for dessert, so didn't opt for it. Our waiter brought over a platter of biscotti and rainbow cookies on the house, which was so nice of them. Both my MIL and SFIL had never had a rainbow cookie before, so we let them have that one. The biscotti was quite nice and a perfect way to end the meal. Everything at Bocca Di Bacco was great - very solid and I always think of them as a very safe, crowd pleasing choice for dinner in the area.

We really like this local establishment but the banquet along the back wall is just way too dark! The food is consistently delicious and we love the overall vibe but can we put some little lights on the tables? I refuse to use my phone's flashlight and fortunately I know the menu well enough. We visited the Theaters HK location on December 10th around noon. The service and food was horrible compared to the other Bocca which is excellent. 1 waiter who had a party of maybe 10 besides us. We ordered from the luncheon menu. It took forever to get our food and when it came it was cold and miniscule. We had to wait and never were asked if there was anything we needed. To receive the check took forever. I had company from outside of the city and it was an embarrassment. This is the second time at this location we have had issues. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

We chose an Italian spot on a whim. Hit an absolute home run. This cacio y Pepe and carbonara are as good as what we had back in February in Rome. And they had Italian expresso at the end as a surprise cherry on top. Would come back 10/10 times.

Spacious indoor seating space. Good for large parties. Three tables for two are available outside, right by the restaurant entrance. Indoor space gets loud during peak dinner time, so prepare for elevated noise levels. Pleasant, simple ambiance that will work for any occasion, from a first date to a business meal. Our waitress was courteous, but she kept asking if we were done with our food. Over and over and over. We Felt rushed, even though the restaurant was 60% empty on a Tuesday evening, so our table of two was not holding up the line. Typical American - Italian menu that does not stand out from countless other similar spots around the city. The food was good, but overpriced. $32 for a piece of chicken with some vegetables? That's what Manhattan prices and inflation have come down to. We tried several pastas and they were nothing extraordinary to write about. $32 rosemary chicken [in rosemary & garlic butter sauce] was the highlight of our meal. Juicy, well seasoned, and delicate. You can have any two sides with that. Brussels and broccoli were well prepared. Not a big portion. Would I return? Probably not, however, this is not a bad place for a meal.

This just became my go-to for pasta in Hell's Kitchen. First off, great service. Really, really great. The wait staff was very attentive. Second, everything we ordered was top notch. Especially the lasagna. You seriously need to try it. I'm going to go all in and say it's the best lasagna I've ever had. But almost as amazing was the pesto linguine and the spaghetti carbonara (dairy-free too!). And if you're in the mood for calamari, you won't be disappointed. It was cooked perfectly. Great wine list as well. The ambiance is cozy and romantic, and you can make a reservation on Opentable which is always a plus.

I had my wedding reception here five years ago that was unforgettable. Incredible service. So when my company asked me to organize my team holiday party, it was a no brainer. We were a group of 24 people. Monica, our waiter, was absolutely incredible. So attentive, so efficient. Her and her team took great care of us and my team cannot stop talking about their experience there. Thank you so much!!! We will be back!!!!

OKAY NEW YORK I SEE YOU!!!!! Was this place expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? YES. We sat at a kind of communal table/bar area and honestly it was a vibe. I wouldn't come here if you're tying to have a super intimate dinner unless you have a reservation for a table. The octopus was the best I have ever had and grilled to perfection. The Cacio e Pepe..... wowza. My friend and I split a plate and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. The kitchen even served it into our own bowls because they knew the drill. Drinks were $15 so it was a one and done type of situation. I had the jalapeño margarita that was spicyyyyy just how I like it and my friend got a Basil drink that was a little too strong for my liking but at least it was worth the $15 am I right?

My family spent a wonderful Saturday in the city for a concert at Lincoln Center, holiday market shopping, and a look at the tree. I selected Bocca di Bacco for our dinner. We arrived 15 minutes early for a 6pm reservation on a Saturday. The hostesses were pleasant and after a very brief wait, we were seated at a comfortable table. The restaurant has a modern vibe and romantic lighting. They had just enough holiday decorations to give a festive feel. Our waiter (David) was patient and provided recommendations. The staff was very attentive, providing fresh silverware for each course and clearing plates at the appropriate times. They allowed our daughters to share a Caesar salad and rigatoni ala vodka for their meal. They were both happy. My wife had a delicious pear, arugula, and blue cheese salad. I've never seen pears shaved that thin, a beautiful presentation. She had the short rib and mashed potato entree and was very happy with the flavor and portion. I opened up with the fresh pasta orecchiette, sausage, and broccoli rabe. Solid pasta course portion, presented at optimal temperature, with a flavorful sauce. For my entree, I selected one of their specials. The halibut served over a bed of spinach with capers was the perfect counterpoint to the pasta course. Great piece of fish, cooked just right. We passed on dessert, as we had to get to the show. Definitely worthy of a return.

Been meaning to try this spot since it's around my way, regret not having come here sooner! It's very spacious, dim lighting with pleasant staff. My bff and I sat at the bar for drinks and could not have asked for a better bartender. His recommendations were right on the mark! My bff enjoyed her beef carpaccio and I enjoyed the tuna tartare. They have a good brunch menu which includes bottomless drinks but beware you want to come before 3 for brunch if you opt for bottomless

The pesto pasta here, along with the seafood appetizer was great, service was as well. Went back again for my birthday, and I love the ambience lighting. Definitely will be back!

Came here for a friend's birthday, and they did a great job of fitting our large group of ~12 people!! The food was delicious and portions were huge. Also had good cocktails.

My fiancé and I booked for restaurant week here because we were planning on seeing a Broadway show that evening. (Yes, we booked this location vs the theatre district location because the reviews were overall better at this location) I loved the vibe of the restaurant - perfect for a date night or even a dinner with family/friends! All the food we ordered was great. I thought the Restaurant Week (RW) menu had great options to choose from, which often times, RW menus are very limited. When we started dinner it was early and the restaurant wasn't packed but as the time went on, it definitely started to fill up. Once that happened, it did become difficult to get our servers attention with how busy it got. It made it a little anxiety inducing as we had to finish up at a certain time to make it to our show on time, so that's the only reason I knocked down a star. Otherwise, everything was great and I'd most definitely go back.

Nothing-special Italian joint catered for the theater crowd. Food was fine. However, $25 pre-fixe lunch is a fantastic deal especially for that area.

The octopus is amazing! The burrata also so Good as an appetizer the service is ok the bread they serve here is so good to match with anything!!

Place's ambience was incredible--the drink I got was SO GOOD! But the food?! Not impressed. (Service was good but waiter wasn't great either. I usually ask the waiters what their favorite drink is because I am on the cusp of two opposite flavors-- upon asking him he said "I have a different taste than you do for sure." no words but--I got mint condition and it was delicious. The appetizers we got lacked salt and the couple we were with who recommended this restaurant, also mentioned that. I ordered the salmon signature fish dish & it was given to me incorrectly. No big deal, but, this is the only salmon dish--so giving me an incorrect dish was confusing. They had to refire and it took so long my group was half way through their food before I got mine-- I did not eat it. Which was disappointing because I had been looking forward to this particular dish. I accidentally forgot it at the place --but they cleared the table so fast that when I went back 5 minutes later it was gone. So there's that. Haha If you want a date night? Yes sure. Want to eat good food? Find somewhere else (sad but true).
