"Bocca Di Lupo opened in 2008, and for a London restaurant to become a classic in that amount of time isn't ordinary. This Soho go-to feels a bit like a family wedding: a lovely ‘proper-ish’ environment with kids dropping venison ragu over the tablecloth and some elderly suits in the corner moving on to their second bottle. "Bocca’s pasta is one of the many great things about this Soho restaurant. This isn’t a place where you want to be in and out. This is a settle down and get your arse into a comfy seat kind of place. Each pasta can be ordered as a small or large plate, and the small plates are generous. "Although it feels like it’s been in Soho since the glory days, Bocca Di Lupo opened in 2008. The Italian spot on Archer Street has an air of irresistible cool about it: all brown leather tones and dark, rich sauces. Words like ‘rustic’ and ‘hearty’ feel appropriate to describe the menu, as do ‘bolshy’ and ‘brave’. Bocca Di Lupo traverses Italy, from Venetian fried squid to Calabrian cow intestine stew. It’s one of London’s best Italian restaurants, and their pre-theatre menu means that you can get a starter and main for £18. Throw in an extra £5 for dessert—it’s worth it. Or you can sink into the back dining room, let the Nebbiolo flow, and pair with a few slices of spicy Tuscan buristo, a plump blood sausage speckled with pistachio.
