"Don’t let the footlong pepper grinder fool you—Boccondivino is a charming throwback to 1970s family-run restaurants. The menu is simple, featuring a daily risotto and pasta served with freshly grated Parmigiano tableside and a robust selection of fresh salumi and cheeses. At dinner, the owner rolls a trolley overflowing with Italian cheeses around the room. It’s a dependable choice for a classic, relaxed lunch near Cadorna station, while dinner is more indulgent, with a multi-course fixed menu. Our only complaint is the bread basket needs an upgrade." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones

This is very funny place to eat at. Maybe not the best of the best food I ever tasted. But it is a fun experience to dine here. I can definitely come back to this restaurant many more times. We hade the menu-set for the evening. The cheese is very, very nice 👌🧀

Ok, I will be the curmudgeon. The hosts are lovely and the atmosphere festive. But it’s really a drinking experience, not a dining one. The first course was what you might call an IKEA salad: a bowl of raw, uncut celery, carrot, radicchio and the like. My husband literally carved a red pepper with his butter knife and divided it between us. Over nearly four hours, they brought five bottles of wine graced with platters of carved meat to slow the alcohol absorption — prosciutto, beef carpaccio, lardy pork — and dollops of cheeses. The only course they actually cooked was a plate of risotto and, well, macaroni & cheese. Dessert was a bowl of biscotti minis. Very weird. And quite pricey.

Absolutely perfect experience of true, genuine Italy! It was recommended to me by a friend as his ‘favorite restaurant in all Milano’ so I had very high expectations that were completely met! We were there during a touristic visit to Milan, for lunch, taking the small tasting menu! Delicious 😊 It started with some tomato bruschetta and a glass of sparkling wine. Then came the prosciutto/salami plate and 1st wine. After that primo - half risotto milanese, half pasta. Then a selection of cheeses with fig jam, onion jam and honey. De-li-ci-ous!! At the same time, people were there on a business lunch, in couples, like a group…the service is extra fast, food delicious, price fair. Now I will recommend it to everyone :)

One of the best pasta’s i’ve ever had. We were greeted with champagne from the house and very lovely staff who were always smiling. The atmosphere is so authentic and cozy. And the wine, oh my… I could have easily had the bottle all by myself, it was exceptional. I will be definitely back!

We came here after the recommendations of different people saying that in this restaurant you can taste more than a dozen different types of meat and cheese. And truly, they have a set menu with various species of salami, proscuitto and cheeses. it is interesting to watch them bringing a new slice of meat basically every minute. Pasta and risotto are tasteful as well. They prepared them in large piece of parmesan cheese. Overall, a lot of food in this set menu, be hungry when you come here.

Truly a unique and unforgettable dining experience! Be prepared to eat an insane amount of cured meats (the most delicious I've ever had) from many different regions of Italy. Be prepared to drink as much delicious and perfectly paired wine as you can. And then after all this the cheese cart rolls out! Seriously it's an insane amount of food (i didn't eat at all until dinner the following day) but it's so good. Staff is awesome and speak like 6 languages. Pasta and risotto are delicious. But maybe if you like a light dinner this isn't your place!

Such a fun and welcoming restaurant, it was a perfect opening to our first trip to Milan. Be prepared to be spoiled; the staff is a hoot, the food is delicious and the experience is like nothing else. We had the full experience- five cured meats with the antipasti, two risottos, pasta, and hard and soft cheese tasting. Everything was outstanding. It changed my world in regards to ricotta and I will never eat gorgonzola without honey again. I had the opportunity to carve a gigantic prosciutto leg, and to this day when anyone asks what time it is, I shout "It's Limoncello time!". Every first time visitor to Milan should stop here. It really is a remarkable experience.

What an experience. Sensational evening. It was not just a meal out but an entire experience of its own. From the breads, to the spreads, to the endless amounts of cut meats to the cheeses, to the pasta to desserts and the endless wine pairing. Food is out of this world delicious. Wines are to die for. Service impeccable, extrenly friendly and very helpful. Waiters know their food and their wine. Highly recommend it. Just fast all day before you go. Its an experience worth having and tasting.

Yelp
Anyone looking for an authentic dining experience in capable, companionable hands needs to put this place at the top of their list in Milan. Small and cozy (without being cramped) the dining room here is unfussy, but welcoming, just like the staff. There are no menus here - the food - whatever is fresh and meeting the chef's standards - comes in waves with wines selected to pair with what's being served. The number of courses seems to be optional/at the diners' discretion, as do multiple prosciutto and cheese courses. (Yes, multiple.) We came on the heels of post pandemic reopening with our 12 year old daughter (who was treated like a princess) and were fortunate to find it open and living up to its reputation among locals. This wasn't just one of the best meals we had during two weeks of gluttony across northern Italy, but also one of the most reasonable. Bravissimo!

Yelp
good location nearby Milan Cadorno and Sant'Ambrogio. my highly recommends is "Piccolo Menu" (small course) assorted hamon, risott, pasta and dolche with complementary wine!

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Hands down one of the best dinners I have ever had in my entire life and probably the highlight of my entire Europe trip. We had a group of about 8 and the hospitality was just next level. We were all so well taken care of. All the servers were joyous, laughing and joking with each other and the customers... the atmosphere was so vibrant and comfortable. You can't fake this kind of hospitality. Anyways, on to the food. I believe the tasting menu we got was around 75 Euro pp and that included bread/appetizers, a massive assortment of ham including salami, pancetta, coppa, mortadella, and a few others, an even larger assortment of cheese, fresh pasta prepared in a Parmesan wheel with risotto, carefully curated wine pairings, a few different kinds of sorbet, and, of course, Limoncello. A ton of food. We were all so incredibly satisfied afterwards. I believe they close around 1am but they kept it open for us and another table--didn't even hint to us that they were closing, didn't ask us to leave or anything. I didn't know if this type of place was typical to Milan but none of the other restaurants we ate at during our trip came anything close to the type of food and service we got at Boccondivino. Simply outstanding.

Yelp
I have no idea whether the dinner we got was typical for this place - we were a fairly large group of people and had a set menu. But no matter if you usually get a more traditional kind of dinner, this was simply marvelous. Great service, great food, great wine. The appetizers were already enough to get you hooked. The waiters kept returning to our places with fresh slices of all kinds of Italian meats - parma, salami, lardo, pancetta, coppa, san daniele, mortadella... at least a dozen of them, and obviously really delicious. Then a simple and delicious pasta dish, followed by a tasty radicchio risotto - maybe not fantastic, but absolutely nothing to complain about. My personal highlight was the final round, though - the cheese wagon. It's massive. Dozens of cheeses, all of them great selections, and luckily they didn't avoid the more intense ones, so thanks for that (and the colleagues who passed their cheeses on to me because they like gouda better...). For every course, we were getting a new and carefully chosen wine, all of them so good you kept going for second glasses of them, so in the end I wasn't just well fed but also in ... let's say a pretty good mood. Oh, and yes, there was some ice cream in the end. And a limoncello. Naturally. Our crew sure picked a great restaurant. Loved it.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews. This place far exceeded our expectations. Service was amazing, the food was incredibly delicious. They made us feel at home from the second we got there. And price-wise it was a steal for the entire experience. If there is ever any doubt, just go. You will not regret it.

Yelp
If you want a delightful, unique experience then make a reservation at Boccondivino. Would rate a 4.5 if possible. They served a fixed menu, 3+ courses with wine pairings plus a proseco welcome drink. First is 7-8 hams from around Italy, then a delicious pasta, then two rounds of cheeses (wet and dry). Peach sorbet (and coffee) at the end to cleanse the palate. Lots of good food and wine; we were pleasantly stuffed! Staff demonstrates enjoyment in what they're doing.

Yelp
We found this place randomly. Staff was awesome and funny- very welcoming even if we didn't have a reservation. Amazing wine, cheese, pasta, and prosciutto
