WOW!!! If you want a burger you can’t get anywhere else, come to Bock Burger. Michele is the owner with her husband, she works the window. She is super nice. Very accommodating and pleasant. Great music. You sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The burger was over the top. We got the biggest baddest burger you could get, the SUPER TURBO DELUXE. It was unbelievable. From the bun to all the ingredients, just amazing. I highly recommend, if you’re ever in Alpine, to stop at the Bock Burger!

Love, love, love this place! The burgers are amazing and I love their side salad as well! We'll be back anytime we're in the area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Oh, and try her Kombucha it's wonderful!!!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Alpine! Bock Burger offers real, high-quality food—fresh salads, juicy burgers, and real cheese, all served on homemade sliced bread. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference. Even though we’re from out of town, we now know exactly where to stop next time we’re passing through. It’s clear the locals love it too!

This place is amazing. Loved everything we ordered. It's a great place to get special, high quality food. A memorable experience. They really take the time to make the food delicious. We got the Sunday brunch burger and grilled cheese with side salads, Dr Pepper, and pound cake. Thank you!

A great find in Alpine. Only outdoor seating...pets welcomed....very friendly staff...no bathrooms,served on the side of the house. Parking is minimal. But one of the best Grilled Cheese with FRESH jalopenos that I have ever had.... my hubby's 2meat cheese burger was freshly made and you could smell it cooking from the window.. yum...It's a place I would go back to and you should try. Good burger that's well served. Meat needed a hint of salt to enhance the flavor of the meat. If you are passing by, pass the chain restaurants and eat local, you won't regret it.

All I can say is WOW! Probably the best burger I have had in years. Quality ingredients can be recognized on the first bite. The cheddar used was fantastic! I think I'd eat here once a week if I was local. If you are traveling to big bend, and you are hungry, this is a must to stop by for a fantastic burger

The hype is real, best burgers and hit the spot after a long day of hiking. 10/10 would recommend! No pictures because we ate too fast!

So glad we popped in! We made a last minute decision to try this place and it was delicious! Took about 10-15 mins to get our food since it was made fresh, but that was no issue for us. The staff were so sweet and the size of portions was great. The salad was super fresh. It's got a couple tables outside with umbrellas here and there. (Only outside seating as it's a takeaway joint.) please do yourself a favor and stop in! GET THE PICKLES.

We have seen this place as we drive towards our camp site and finally decided to try it out. The burger bun is very soft, feels and tastes like it's made from scratch. We had someone else pick up our food but was told they were kind and nice. The place is small and you can miss it since it's right off a busy street. I had the Sunday brunch burger and it was delicious. The bread has a nice flavor on its own, the ham gives it a nice balance with the egg and beef patty. I did like that it had chopped red onion and the egg was nicely cooked. Unfortunately they had run out of hollandaise and it was not put on my burger so I could not give an accurate review hence the 4 stars. I will have to go back and try it again but I'm pretty positive I will love it more. The pound cake was okay and did taste homemade. I'm not a huge fan of pound cake, and didn't really try it out other than that one bite. I would like to go and try the rest of the menu though

I'm an Alpine local and ever since Bock Burger came around I can't stop eating it!! I find myself here a few times a month because I can't stay away! My favorite burger ever, fresh ingredients you can taste the quality, don't even get me started on how much I love the bread they make!! I mostly take my burger home but the few times I've sat outside with friends I've really enjoyed the area to sit. Just note CASH OR VENMO ETC is what's accepted here

When out of town traveling food is always an unsure choice...in Alpine Bock Burger is the choice! I recommend calling ahead if not be prepared to wait. The wait though is worth it. We got the double cheeseburger and special of the day with a slice of lemon sourdough bread. The burger from the first smell is mouth watering. The bread is fresh, soft and just enough crisp. The burger is medium well and juice with a creamy cheddar to top. If you get a double I suggest sharing unless you're super hungry...or you can have left overs for later. I was unsure about the side salad instead of fried but I get it. The fresh spring mix with carrots,cucumbers and tomatoes was a great offset to the burger (simple olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing). The lemon bread was a simple sweet treat. Since it comes pre packed I would say adding a small container of icing would help if you warm it up to eat. All in all the ambiance of Bock Burger screams homemade with a focus of flavor showcasing their love of food. If you ever drive through on travels or pass by I recommend stopping by Bock Burger Takeaway.

If you are in Alpine, you've got to stop by for some delicious burgers! Walk up to the window to place your order (no credit cards), and find a seat outside the building. In just a few minutes your hot, fresh, scrumptious meal will be ready. Enjoy!

Best burger my wife and I have ever had. My wife and I still talk about it after having it a year ago. When we first found the spot, we went twice in one day. And got it about 4 times in one weekend cuz we were leaving town. We may sometime visit Alpine once again for the primary reason of getting this burger again.

OMG!!! What an amazing burger and best that I have had in years and years. Wished there was a Bock Burger near my home. Each patty is 1/3 lb and ordered a double, and a side salad. Staff or owner was very friendly. Sat outside on one of the 2 tables in the warm evening sun. Yes this is a 5 star place, so get a try!!!

If you don't stop here, you might actually be crazy. These are the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Burgers are my guilty pleasure and I am very particular on when I indulge. Not only are these divine tasting, but they are super fresh with carefully selected ingredients and leave you feeling good (not a junky burger) and satisfied. Opt for the super fresh and equally high quality salad and a slice of cake and it'll be an experience you never forget. A tradition for us for sure. Also, the owners are incredibly nice. Don't miss this far west TX gem!

I arrived in Alpine yesterday for my first trip to west Texas. A friend suggested I try Bock Burger and I made a bee line to it. I have traveled extensively and I must say this is the BEST CHEESEBURGER I've ever had! Ever had! Ever had! It comes with a very fresh salad, homemade vinaigrette and carrot sticks. The restaurant itself is in a very cute old house adorned with lots of cacti and a small seating area. There is no inside dining yet this is a plus. While I was waiting for my burger to be cooked, a few locals asked me to sit down with them and chat. How friendly is that!

Very delicious good burger. Reminds me of a homemade burger my Polish mom would make which is not a bad thing at all. Salad was nice also and super fresh. It was not busy and I assume burgers are made to order. It took 15 min for 4 burgers, whatever we are on vacation and "Alpine time". The cheddar cheese was some unique stuff loved it. Burger meat definitely seasoned with more than salt and pepper, a savory spice not heat. I would come here again for sure. Prob is I am from Houston so 9 hour drive :(

You know the gay guy, Bruno, on Dancing with the Stars, who is so over-the-top effusive in his praise? Well, channel his voice in your head when you read my review of this burger because it was orgasmic! I really, really, really miss unique flavorful restaurants with specialty offerings living here because there's so many places here that are good, but just not flip you over good. This was amazingly good though. And those that are good you frequent often and you grow tired of the menu because they rarely change. I've tried to come here a few times. Once they were closed. Another time, I wasn't as hungry and chose to go somewhere else. But today, I was craving a good burger. And man, did this place not disappoint! They're popular for ordering ahead, so don't be surprised if you might wait a bit when it seems like there's no one else ahead of you. However, the wait is worth it. I opened the paper wrapper and was blown away by the melted cheese, fresh pickles, and large beef patties on a bun, that despite what another review has said was too bready, I completely disagree. I could barely fit it into my mouth. Granted, I ordered a double, but still, amazingly delicious. The fresh red onion chopped on top only added to the enjoyment. I was so hungry I didn't take a picture, but trust me, you will not be disappointed. I saw more men there than seen at other places in town, so you know they're pleased too. A small side salad comes with it, but I was so full I'm saving it. I also bought a slice of the blueberry pound cake, which I will enjoy for breakfast because I'm still too full. Very pleasant surprise to find a gourmet burger spot and another surprise is the late hours since other places in town close by 8pm. So, as Bruno, this was fabulous

First time here. OMG! The absolute best cheeseburger I have ever had. Had the double and could have gone with a single because the patties are so big. Moist, well dressed with veggies, and the cheese is perfect. We will be back the next time we are in Alpine.

Best burgers we've ever had (and we've had ALOT)!! It's basically a to go place but there is a small table and chairs there. The owner is super friendly and all the ingredients are super fresh. We were in Alpine overnight for 24 hours and ate here TWICE. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this place!

I'm in town from Austin and after climbing up a mountain in Big Bend I needed a great dinner. After looking on Yelp I saw a local business with awesome reviews and was sold. The burger was fantastic with amazing ingredients. The star of the show was the bun which was pillowy and baked with love. The side salad was alright in terms of flavor but again the ingredients were fresh. Be sure to bring cash as they don't take credit cards.

I've lived in alpine for 40 years and have NEVER had this level of quality burger - OMG - lovely salad on the side to boot ! and crazy fab hours - sun - tues when literally we are a food desert in the desert for take out.

Delicious every time!!! The burgers are a little bit deceiving they look small but they are not. They are extremely filling and perfect size. I always get the salad as the side and it compliments the burger very well.

One word "Yummy" ! The ONLY place in Alpine that I will invest my hard earned dollars in a cheeseburger! The "Bock" is "Done Right" with responsibly sourced meat, amazing bread, and delicious salad included. The staff is xtra sweet and ready to satisfy your hunger craving for a burger that you will actually want to finish eating and feel good afterwards! The hours are hard to get memorized, mainly because you want to eat there every day, and are saddened that they are closed at times. They have a simple menu, limited parking, an umbrella table with a few chairs. Calling in your order is probably the best way to go, sometimes they are so busy that you need to exercise patience and however you end up with this delightful treat it is worth it! If every burger business created a burger like "BOCK" they would be soooo busy and famous, just like the Bock will be in the near future!

One of very few places open the day after Christmas and very much a gem. We had cheeseburgers with a nice green side salad. Gingerbread cake was unexpected and extra delicious. Look for the bistro table and walk up window.

I had a great experience at Bock Burger! It was around 9pm on a Monday evening and there weren't many non-big-chain-fast-food options in the area. On a whim, my boyfriend and I tried Bock Burger. What a wonderful experience. Freshly made sourdough buns, local beef, local cheese, local pickles, YES PLEASE! I was happy to have a side salad come with my burger as I was on a road trip and could use some fresh veggies. We loved the food. The menu included with our food had some interesting details. Highlights include unconventional payment options and how much care is put into their suppliers and ingredients. This is a must-try in Alpine especially to support local small businesses. Just be aware of their hours of operation as they are not typical restaurant hours.

Descent burger. Bread too dense & would have preferred fries to chips. Bread to burger ratio was off.

Just to make a review a story. My Girlfriend and myself had a long day of driving from El Paso to Big Bend National Park. On our return and starving we stumbled on Bock Burger. This gentleman's burger was phenomenal. We both order the Full Moon Burger (which is only sold on a full moon week). It was ground beef mixed with chorizo, slaw, smoked cheese, and chips added to the bottom. My girlfriend doesn't even eat burgers and she was blown away by the quality.I The price was 28 for two burgers and two drinks. 35 in total including tip. BE SURE TO HAVE VENMO OR CASH prior to showing up. The owner was very nice and on the outside of the pick up window is two tables with music playing spanning from country to blues. In all it's a must stop before or after going to Big Bend and support local!

Easily the best burgers in Alpine, fresh sourdough buns, sweet and spicy pickles, and high quality beef and cheese. Although, be ready for takeaway only. The place is just a window in a converted house.
