Having participated in a number of clinical trials and medical studies over the years—including the longest-running study on human aging—as well as navigating a handful of injuries and even one bout of cancer, I’ve had more than my share of medical imaging and body scans. From research hospitals to specialized clinics, I know what a high-quality, clinically sound experience looks and feels like. With that perspective in mind, I can say without hesitation that my session at BOD was every bit as comprehensive and on point as any I’ve experienced in more traditional medical settings.
What impressed me most was the combination of scientific rigor and environment. My DEXA and PHY scans were performed with real precision and care, but instead of the sterile feel of a doctor’s office, I was in a beautifully designed studio that immediately put me at ease. That balance of professionalism and comfort is rare, and it set the tone for the entire visit.
Though each scan only took a few minutes, the reports Jeff walked me through afterward were remarkable in both depth and clarity. I’ve seen my fair share of data-heavy reports that require a medical degree to decode. Jeff’s ability to explain the results—while still showing me just how thorough the information was—struck me as a rare skill. His fluency with the subject matter made the complex easy to understand, which gave me far greater confidence in what I was seeing and how I could apply it.
I came away not just with numbers on a page, but with real insight into my body and health trajectory. That’s something I haven’t always gotten, even in more clinical or academic environments. It’s why I’ve quickly become a huge fan of Jeff and the BOD mission. A visit here will be a must every time I’m back in LA, and I strongly encourage anyone who wants to truly understand their body—not just at a surface level, but in a way that can genuinely inform long-term health decisions—to make the trip as well.
