Bodean's BBQ Covent Garden

Excellent food and service! We came here for the 15 Pound lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich and the Boss Hog Brew - incredible overall! The pulled pork sandwich was tender, came with delicious fries (well-fried and seasoned), and the Boss Hog Brew (Bodean's in-house lager) was very nice. The atmosphere was equally nice. We came in the middle of the day and there were a few other tables in use. There was music playing and the decor very much suits the bbq restaurant theme. Toilets are down a pretty large set of stairs. There might be an accessible one on the main floor, but I didn't go to check. Overall though, amazing deal for 15 Pounds! I don't think you could find the quality of the food and service anywhere else for that price.

Staff has been a bit off on last visit in Covent Garden. It seems that overall brand lost some customers as it used to be hard to get a table at any hours before and it was pretty much empty now. Food in exchange was as good as always therefore still worth the visit.

I hhave been to Bodeans, while back and had very good experience, this time however it felt like with most restaurant they have made the portions smaller and increased the prices. 6£ per side is daylight robbery when you already paid 85 for large platters on top of that the sides are so miniscule and small you cant justify them,6£ for tiny portion of frozen fries from a bag? Cmon. Another thing to mention is some of the meat was cold and Another was hot wich seemed odd. The overall cleanliness and toilets condition have a lot more to be desired. I belive the chain is on decline as with most restaurants in central London, money over value.😒🤨

Stopped into this BBQ pub and was pleasantly surprised! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the pulled pork had good texture (though the flavor could’ve been a bit bolder), and the mac & cheese was absolutely phenomenal — creamy, rich, and perfectly cheesy. Overall, a really solid BBQ spot with hearty portions and great comfort-food vibes. Would definitely recommend!

Very accommodating and friendly staff, our waitress was lovely. The food was great, the pork belly, fries and mac and cheese were fantastic!! 9/10 would Pook again - 🥪

Absolutely amazing experience! I don’t usually post reviews online, but the incredible food and service here made me do it. Came for the first time with my friend and we were truly blown away. The food is to die for — every dish was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. A big shout-out to Ketvi for making our visit exceptional. She took the time to explain everything on the menu, gave great recommendations, and her service was outstanding from start to finish. Great food, great service — we’ll definitely be back!!

Never going back there! From the moment we arrived, we wanted to leave. The waitress was rude from the first minute... the second I mentioned our reservation—he snapped(older waitress) “OK, what’s your name?” without even a greeting and in a rude way. Like I just came to the restaurant?! Where at least hello!? Ruined all the vibe. Then our sides arrived incorrectly, salad was forgotten entirely, and when my friend pointed out she’d ordered fries instead of onion rings, they were replaced with no apology. I was shocked by the unprofessional service. Even on busy Saturdays, we all deserve to be treated professionally and nicely! We all have bad days, but please consider that we are restaurant customers.

This restaurant is amazing! I’ll definitely recommend it to all my friends and classmates. Our server, Deep, was such a wonderful and friendly person — he noticed that we had a Polaroid camera and kindly helped us take some great photos! He even surprised us with a small dessert — an ice cream brownie — which was absolutely delicious. The BBQ was fantastic too! We ordered a combo and a burger, and both were super tasty — the meat was so tender. I’ll definitely come back again next time!

Dropped in for dinner ahead of a show at The Duchess nearby. As a 70- year-old American with a lifetime of BBQ eating behind him, I can be pretty picky. Bodeans was every bit as good as the best I have eaten. Hard to believe this is a "chain" restaurant. The service was friendly and prompt. We shared the sampler platter and gorged ourselves. Everything was tasty! The UK has a BBQ palace to be proud of, WELL DONE!

Decent bbq spot in Covent Garden. Had the BBQ chicken wings for a snack and was pretty delighted. Blue cheese was just right.

As an American Expat in the UK, of course, I had to give this place a go to see if the Brits could make some decent BBQ. Fortunately, the answer is yes! This place was a pleasant reminder of home as I devoured some great food. Not only that, it was super affordable, which is big in a place like London where most people are on a budget for holiday. I got a variety of different meats and was impressed with each and every one. I'll definitely be coming here again to get my fill.

Came today for my birthday meal. We had a 4pm reservation and place was pretty empty when we got there so I imagine we could have gotten a table easily even without a reservation at that time. Service was quick and we were astonished at how quick the food came out. It literally took less than 10 minutes for the huge sharing platter, Mac and cheese with chicken, hot dog and chicken, pulled pork and sausage meal to come out. Made us wonder if the food is not freshly prepared and if not, I'm not sure how I feel about reheated food. The food was pretty good and portions are massive. The only thing that didn't impress me was the Mac and cheese which I felt needed more cheese in it. We also had the Chocolate disgrace freakshakes. They were ok but the actual milkshake was very milky which was underwhelming. The fruit cocktails are delicious!

We'll, being an American I was very curious but held certain reservations as to how well an Englishman could cook BBQ. My reservations are completely gone and feel at ease about chosing this place, it's LEGIT. We had the sampler platter and all the chicken beef and pork were all cooked very well. Our server Maximus was very nice, well educated about what was offered and always had a smile. Eat here with confidence!

I was really surprised by this place based on the reviews but the food and service was terrible. I wasn't expecting much out of British food but it came out cold and it smelled. The health department should look into this place. Be very careful if you visit this place. I would stick to this drinks.

This restaurant was disgusting the food was so disgusting and dry and sometimes too seasoned. The time we had to wait for the starter was appalling however the waiter we had was lovely when we complained about the food she scratched it from the bill.

One of the best places for ribs in London, with affordable prices. Slow-smoked BBQ made with the traditional American way.

This was great find while a friend and I were out in London. We tried to hit up different restaurants for each meal being that it was our first trip to London, but once we found Bodean's, we couldn't help going back when we were in the area. This is really good BBQ, the sauce they use is quite delicious and the quality of meat is great too (not gristly nor chewy) and well prepared as it was tender enough not to need a knife to be cut. The food takes a while if they're busy, but it doesn't matter once the food arrives at your table. I hope to eat here again some day.

I was really looking forward to going to Bodean's and eating lots of meat but on arrival, they told me they didn't have our booking. I reviewed the message and realised we'd accidentally booked it for August! When I confessed our error, one of the staff said it had been happening a lot which did make me think that someone ought to take a look at the online booking system! Now before I go on, I must mention that the restaurant was pretty much empty so when I asked for a table I expected a short wait but was told around 40 minutes. My friends and I dutifully wandered to the pub next door to have a quick drink before our table was ready and within 10 minutes of leaving Bodean's had a text to say our table was ready....I feel there is a lesson to be learnt in managing expectations so we didn't have to down our drinks! Once seated the staff were very friendly and service was good. When we asked them to turn down the air con that was blasting cold air on us, they were more than happy to oblige. The food was delicious and despite wearing my loosest outfit, it was still too much meat! Then some bright spark suggested dessert which on balance was completely unnecessary and caused much debate as the only gluten-free dessert was the banana split but it had to come without cream as that had gluten in it. I never got to the bottom of why cream had gluten in it and the waiter seemed a little put off by my questions about it so I had tentatively had a few spoonfuls of ice cream and left the rest to the others. Overall the food was delicious but I felt it lacked a bit when it came to the customer experience.

OMG this was the best pulled pork ever. Sweet, tender and a wonderful flour roll. Service is excellent and Alex makes an outstanding drink. Sorry we don't live here...maybe we should move

We had dinner here, I had the Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork and my wife had Half if Rack of Ribs! They were both FABULOUS, this would compare to any bar-b-queen in USA! We will go back here again!

Pleasantly surprised by quality of bbq. Being from Texas was not expecting much however food was great, service was excellent and will most definitely be back.

The meat was tender and quite good. The BBQ sauce was fine, but not really up to snuff with real Kansas City BBQ. They had boulevard beer on the menu, but not actually in stock. As a Kansas City native, I got my hopes up, but was disappointed. That said, I was satisfied with this effort at Kansas City style BBQ in London.
