Very Special place in TJ. Their food is 5 star quality and service as well. These folk do not play around when it comes to drinks. I think I had the best margarita and tamarind blend in life. My date was very impressed. We had such a good time and the memories we made will be memorable. Highly recommend this place!

What an amazing place to have a great meal in TJ I enjoyed everything but mostly the service.

We went here to celebrate a special occasion a while back and I have to say it was an extremely disappointing experience. Service was mediocre at best and the food was nothing to write home about. I ordered the Tostada La Ahogada for an appetizer which has shrimp, octopus and cucumbers as the main staples. The pulpo was super chewy and tough and there was little to no flavor. I ended up not eating most of it. I also ordered a steak for dinner. That was also tasteless and was over cooked given I had ordered it medium rare and it wasn’t even pink. The only good dish we had was the Aguachile de Camaron. The restaurant is located in an upscale mall with paid parking and the outdoor seating area is nice. Reservations are typically recommended on the weekends.

Came during Covid... place had a safe feeling, the staff were wearing masks and face shields. The drinks were amazing! Had the cucumber Martini and Straight up martini. Had the Ahi Tuna and it was delicious. The scallops were over cooked and the rib eye was too fatty! Other than that the service was great!! I recommend this place.

We were lucky to get in without a reservation and had such an amazing dinner experience. From the top rate service to the superior flavors we were more than thrilled. From the bone marrow to the octopus, salmon and not to mention the Tamohawk steak every flavor brought us joy in every bite.

This restaurant is top notch great customer service great atmosphere. I wouldn’t say that it’s kid friendly. It’s a little too loud for kids, but the food was amazing. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. (Ribeye) cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was unbelievably good.

English menu available. Grilled Octapus was delish. My waiter Ulisis and the manager made sure i was happy with my food. great family restaurant. Saw two birthdays celebrations . Great singers the waiters . Chef came out to speak to guest.

At the Paseo Chapultepec in Tijuana, there was still another restaurant that I needed to try. So I headed out and had dinner at Bodega 8. The entrance, the dim lighting, the immaculate polished wood tables and upbeat music, elegant decor, and the chandeliers, all added to the inviting warm ambiance. So the stage was set and my evening began with the complementary chips (very unique, thick, crispy with a charred taste), beans and salsa rojo. A good start. It was important for me to try something different. So, I opted for the Esmeralda Shrimp that comes in a piping hot molcajete bowl. Surprisingly, the manager tried to discourage me from ordering this item. Maybe he knew more than me (read below). In spite of this advice, I stuck to my guns. The Shrimp is doused in a cilantro salsa verde with au gratin potato peel. Essentially, thin deep fried string potatoes. Also came with breaded cheese rolls (2 of them) sticking out of the bowl. The dish was overpowered by the excess of cilantro salsa (that had too much lime). For texture, there was too much cheese around and it took away the spotlight from the main attraction, the small shrimp (which were cooked well). I now realized that I had ordered the wrong dish. Oh well. Service was attentive and good.

I've been here a couple time last time I came . I ordered the tuna tostada it was so amazing. The ceviche and octopus dishes are also top tier . Amazing attentive service!

I was looking for a good steakhouse in Tijuana to take my friends. A friend of mine recommended this place and we were not disappointed. The service at this restaurant was great. Everyone was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Awesome vibes and great staff.. sat us last minute, but service never lacked. Drinks were great and food was even better. Highly recommend the tomahawk, it was very flavorful and cooked to perfection.

I've tried this restaurant 4 times and it has always been a terrible experience. Drinks take more than 30 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was empty no reason to be that late. Ordered the fresh tuna and it came frozen, ordered all my food and the server forgot about the tripa de res I ordered, I told him to cancel that dish after finishing all my food and the plate still did not arrive. Suddenly someone else brought the plate even when I told him to cancel it. The tripa was the only good thing I tried in this restaurant in the 4 times I've been here. For the price, the quality and service is terrible, go and eat somewhere else.

I'm just going to say, you have to experience this place. Everything was amazing. Great atmosphere and signature drinks, catering by an amazing staff. We will definitely be returning.

Good food and ambiance, my steak was decent, but not out of this world. The pulpo was pretty good and tasty. Cauliflower and steak bites were also on point. Overall had a pretty good ambiance, but I wouldn't come back unless a friend wanted to try it.

This place has so many items I want to go back and try. Started with the wedge salad. We split it and it was plenty for two. So delicious!! There was also a trio of tacos with bone marrow , only one half but I'm getting that next time!!

Muy bonito lugar, amables los meseros aunque un poco desordenados porque para empezar tuvimos que pedir que nos tomaran la orden porque nadie iba. Después, tardaron en regresar a preguntarnos si ocupábamos algo y tuvimos que pedirle a otro mesero que nos trajinera otro platillo y eso ocasionó una confusión que terminó en la duplicación de orden. Pero bueno, la comida. Mi madre pidió la sopa de tortilla, rica pero demaciada salada. Pedí los sopes de camarón con chorizo, muy buen sabor, un platillo diferente pero no lo volvería a pedir, de dos me comí uno. Finalmente, la tostada ahí tuna, está si estaba riquísima y la súper recomiendo. Pedí dos más, una para mi y otra para mi madre que igual dijo que pediría otra! Quisiera volver y tratar otros platillos.

I absolutely love this place...located in a plaza with a structure (you pay the parking in pesos) which makes the hassle of parking something you don't have to worry about. We ordered the Octopus, bone marrow, tri tip chicharrones on guacamole, half dozen oysters, drinks...everything was amazing and the service was spot on. A meal line this in the states would easily run hundreds of dollars...we spent $140 including a big tip. Only thing that sucks is that there's no AC :(

So here is what I was impressed with. The grilled cauliflower and the grilled beets. The reason is, I have a pretty standard gas grill at home, and i have grilled cauliflower and beets on few different occasions. Never have i ever successfully grilled like how this restaurant made it. Like, how is this restaurant able to grill these 2 vegetables and keep it juicy /moist? When grilled it, it got dry. What the hell am I doing wrong at home. That's what I wanna know. My wife ordered the burger. She said it was good, and i am not a burger enthusiast, she is. So there you go. I ordered the steak. It was a good steak. It was done correctly in most aspect. No complaints.

SO YUMMY! Super cheap, very fancy, and everything is tasty. True mexican food. Will definitely be back from San Diego for this hidden Gem in Tijuana. It is located in a mall that has other places to eat as well.

Excellent Baja Med restaurant on the second level of the Plaza Chapultepec. It is located next door to Cabanna. First of all, there's plenty of parking in the attached parking structure, so that won't be an issue. Definitely make reservations if you plan to dine during a weekend night, as it can get packed. Despite the easing of restrictions, tables are still socially distanced, so there is less overall capacity. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating area has a rustic decor and several cool bars. During weekend nights, there is lively music that picks up as the night goes on, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter dinner. Bodega 8 has an extensive selection of cocktails. I suggest any of their mezcal drinks, all of which are excellent. The menu includes a wide variety of seafood and meat dishes. Portion sizes are large, so basically anything can be ordered to share and your party can try several different dishes. I tried the bone marrow, grilled oysters, and ribeye. Everything was well prepared, tasty, and beautifully presented. Prices are reasonable in my opinion for the quality of the food and the location of the restaurant. Even after several drinks and some of the pricier dishes, you'll be looking at about $50 per person. I look forward to visiting Bodega 8 again soon.

Bodega 8 is on the second floor of Paseo Chapultepec, a restaurant strip mall. The whole complex is quite professional & upscale with great prices. Today, we started with glazed, roasted beets. These were the best I've had anywhere. We then ordered tortilla soup and roasted salmon with grilled vegetables. The foods, atmosphere & service at Bodega 8 are outstanding. You even get a tower of cherry lollipops! Our server was Matteo. He and the entire staff are fantastic! Can't wait to go back!

It's okay good. The portions are small for the bone marrow been to places and seen other spots locally that offer more meat than they gave us. Food was burnt and dry. Giving three stars for the drinks. They were what saved the review.

Fuimos a cenar después de un día fuera, el personal estaba quemando algo intencionalmente, llenando el restaurante de humo y activando las alarmas hasta el punto de que no podíamos respirar pq tenemos un bebé de 5 meses se me estaba ahogando con tanto humo. Le dije al mesero que si nos podía mover de lugar y nomas me ignoro. Entonces Salimos a tomar aire fresco, mientras el humo se iba un poco y mientras nuestros platos se enfriaban en la mesa. Me queje con el gerente y su respuesta fue "Ni siquiera me di cuenta". El gerente nos prometió un reembolso por la horrible experiencia y la comida fría y nunca lo hizo. Peleamos con nuestro banco y ellos se defendieron y el reembolso no se completó.

Amazing service and amazing food every time! We had the Arrachera and the atún tostadas, both were great! Definitely a must when in Tijuana. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their food.

Their salmon is great So is their fish in that banana leaf The sauce they use for that fish is so damn good Theo spicy Margarita is also very spicy However their tamarindo martini sucks Too much sweet no where near did I taste alcohol Their oysters are amazing And the sauce they use for it is fire also Amazing place and yet so cheap in pricing Definitely some type of downtown San Diego experience but for a 1/4 of the price

Delicious food, amazing services, wonderful warm place. I can't emphasize how wonderful the service is and the food. Pricy but worth it. Highly recommend for special date or anniversary dinner.

The food is really good, only issue is that the waiters have no shame in asking for tips or what they call it "servicio", so beware.

Met up with some friends for a farewell dinner the other night and I could not be more excited to have discovered this GEM in Tijuana. I'm totally going to bring all of my firends here! First off, the service here is impeccable. To me, amazing service is synonymous with TJ. I can't think of a single bad restaurant experience in TJ that I had due to poor service. Bodega 8 is no exception. We were greeted and seated promptly, drinks came out right away and our server was attentive throughout our entire meal. I ordered the beef filet and it was SO good! It was a bit overcooked for my taste, but the seasoning and the char was AMAZING. It was served with some little potatoes seasoned in rosemary and a pile of really yummy rice. When the plate was first presented (it was beautiful, by the way) I thought it was not going to be enough food. But, it actually ended up being a perfect portion! Another thing worth mentioning is the ambiance and decor. The restaurant is seriously so beautiful and inviting! The chairs are comfortable and the tables aren't squeezed so tightly together you can't walk in between them. From the service to the decor to the food, Bodega 8 does a fantastic job of making you feel welcome. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back with more friends!

FOOD AND SERVICE WAS AMAZING. I came here and had been greeted at the start and was asked whether i wanted indoor or outdoor! They provide complimentary chips salada/beans and it was fantastic! My server enrique was so amazing and made great conversation. Very attentive. Prices were okay considering the food quality and overall restaurant. DO YOUR SELF A HUGE FAVOR AND ORDER THE TAMARINDO MEZCAL! The jamaica mezcal was a bit strong for me but still delicious and refreshing. I ordered the cheese shrimp omg IT WAS FANTASTIC. Also please order the nieve con buñuelos sooo yummy. It's upstairs on the top floor coming from the parking structure and you have to pay for your parking outside not when you leave.

Prices went up service went down. We were one of 4 people there and the service was ridiculously slow. Took forever just to get my bill so I could leave.

Not as pricey as the other options nearby, and considering the menu is in pesos it's a great price. Food is good, drinks are EVEN BETTER!

This dinner was way below my expectations. The food was not good and the staff was way over intrusive and rushed. Speaking to the food, everything was WAY over salted. The first steak filet we got we had to take back because the first bite tasted like someone spilled the salt shaker on it. The second one we got was prepared by the head chef, And it was still over salted (though better). Surprisingly, the arugula salad was so salty it too was inedible. Ive never heard of a salad being salty, but, well, this place likes their salt. Regarding the service, it was rushed and over intrusive. No later than 3 minutes after we ordered our appetizers showed up, which was surprising. No complaint there but we hadn't finished our appetizers and the mains showed up. We had a waiter or buser at our table at least 15 times, always busy with something, reaching across our plate to pick up something or other. When we were about done with our dinner the bus boy came by and cleaned the table for the next guest... While we were still finishing up. I had my wife's birthday dinner here and they moved us in and out in under 45 minutes, and that was with 3 courses and one of those had to be sent back and replaced. I have to question the pallette of the chef, everything was WAY over salted. I will not be going back.

Hidden spot in TJ but worth the find. Great drinks for an amazing price! The Mazapán Martini and the Michelada with mezcal are a must try! I didn't have anything that I didn't love. Highly recommend!

Excellent restaurant. The service is impecable. You constantly have maseros coming to your table to clear off napkins and top of your plate. They take pride in constantly serving you during your meal. This place is expensive by Tijuana standards, but it is quite affordable by American standards. If you're looking for a top notch steak house that wont break the bank, this is it. The food was very good. We had a couple of rib eye dishes, beef shank tacos, and tortilla soup. The tortilla soup is the best i've tasted in Mexico so far. The tacos were divine and flavorful, the homemade tortillas gave it that extra kick of deliciousness. Only thing I did not like is they brought out a rib eye slightly cold, which is a big nono for an expensive steak. I also think there are other places you can eat that do not have as nice of an atmosphere but are a bit cheaper on the wallet if you're looking to save money.

I have been here several times, up on the second floor of the mall in TJ. The burgers are big and juicy. If you speak no spanish, use google translate to make sure they have what you order, correct. Or you may get a surprise.

Do not go here! Service is awful and management is even worse. Overall a horrible experience. We went for dinner after a day out, the staff was intentionally burning something, filling the restaurant with smoke and setting off alarms to the point where we could not breathe. We stepped out to catch fresh air, while our plates sat on the table getting cold. My husband complained to the manager and his response was "I didn't even notice." The manager promised us a refund, for the awful experience and cold food and never went through with it. We fought it with our bank and they fought back and the refund was not completed.

Absolutely love this place for a great meal, casual atmosphere, and patio dining. The service is outstanding and we were all thoroughly satisfied.

Literally one of the best restaurants in Tijuana. If you are here you need to try the Tostada de tuna(salmon) it was the most amazing and well prepared dish I had! Would definitely come back for it and to visit our amazing waiter Enrique!

Tortilla soup was killer. Tried their ahi tuna tostada and loved it! Didn't enjoy the tostada ahojada and wasn't very satisfied. They drowned by tostada w/ Clamato and it was basically a tostada soup. Michelada was very sweet and not my favorite. My fiancé had the tacos de marlin dorado and they were actually very very good. Steaks are made as requested. The restaurant overall is very classy and staff is very helpful and quick.

I've been to this place twice and It never disappoints. I drive 2hrs just to eat here and I'll do it over and over again. First of all, the restaurant is gorgeous, so super trendy and stylish. They offer indoor and a gorgeous patio to dine. There's usually always a wait, so I suggest a reservation. The service is that of first class. I will occasionally have a social drink and this is the place to have it. Try the tamarind margarita (blended) and the horchata vodka. Ok ... let's get to the good stuff, the food!!!! I've ordered the same thing twice, the shrimp molcajete esmeralda. The shrimp are perfectly cooked in a delicious green sauce with fried cheese sticks and crispy potato strings on top !!! Omg / yum! Check out pics of what everyone else in my party ordered. Oh ... and don't skip on dessert- try their ice cream with bunuelos.

I will start off by saying that I didn't eat here because we were in town for a medical procedure that prohibited me from eating anything. But I didn't want my husband to suffer along with me, so we asked the bartender at the Hyatt we were staying at for his recommendation and he mentioned this place. Well, the bartender came through! First off, I loved the decor; a Spanish/Moorish style with jeweled lighting they gave the place an elegant vibe. The staff were great, doing their best to understand my pathetic Spanish, and really being on top of service. My husband ordered the salmon dish with the rice and grilled vegetables. He's a bit of a finicky eater, but really enjoyed his meal. The salmon was prepared well, the rice had a cumin flavor that he really liked, and the veggies were seasoned and grilled perfectly. The salsa and refried beans were really good as well, but the two large chips were just not enough (they were good about bringing more when requested.) I really hope to return to TJ to actually eat at this place, it certainly is a definite must-visit.

I really enjoy this place when I'm in the area for business, the ambiance outside is very nice and comfortable...the service is very good the drinks are excellent. We start with guacamole and chips that they make very fresh, their aguachile shrimps are also delicious....for dinner I usually have the rib eye rib but they didn't have it this time so I ordered the tomahawk steak which was unbelievable! Delicious and prepared just like I wanted it. We also orders the grilled octopus to share and it was so tender and delicious. You cannot go wrong here they have an excellent choices for everyone.

Was here on a Saturday evening and we arrived right after 5 pm workout reservation, they sat us right away on the outside area. It was perfect! They had heaters available so it wasn't so cold. The service was great, very friendly and prompt. Food was delicious! The chicharrón de ribeye appetizer was so delicious !!! My entree was arrachera, so soft and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend . For my drink I got the Miguelito:)
