This winery has gorgeous scenery around it! It’s a little further out so we had them arrange us a cab to go back to Mendoza. Our tour was neat to see how they showed the different soils from each region and how it affects the grapes. Sofia gave us a great tour and tasting which was fun but also really educational! It’s nice after doing so many to still learn new techniques to get the most out of your tasting. And she was able to do it in English which was nice since I was the only one in our group that spoke Spanish. And we were so pleasantly surprised to find out that there’s a sweet Malbec wine!

Incredible wines and views at this winery. We sampled Quivera from 2013 (blend), three Malbec wines and Dulce (sweet dessert wine). I loved all of the tastings, along with our English speaking guide. Make sure to call prior for a reservation as it does get busy. Price was $400 pesos for the tasting per person, and all bottles we tasted were available for sale on site. We did get lost on the way there, so make sure to drive all the way to the end of the road, then turn right!

It is a beautiful area with great wines and wonderful staff. Sonia was the best host and extremely knowledgeable. I would have loved to have spent the entire day with her!

The visit was AMAZING!!! Sofia spent time in explaining us the different wines offered by Achaval. Almendra was kind and dedicate. The experience was fantastic and highly recommendable. Do not miss the opportunity of enjoying an unforgettable experience!

Sofia was an excellent guide during our wine tasting. Very knowledgeable and explained all the regions where the different wines come from.

Unfortunately I recommend all tourists to AVOID booking a visit to this Bodega. I have a reservation for a tasting and they sent me an email cancelling my visit, with NO explanation, 30 MINUTES BEFORE it was due to start at 3.45pm, while I was ALREADY IN A TAXI on my way. This is incredibly rude as they could have cancelled on me this morning, and I would have had time to rearrange something somewhere else - this was my only day in Mendoza after booking a visit from BA, and they didn't leave me anytime to book a Bodega visit somewhere else. The worst part is they emailed me back saying I might have cancelled the reservation myself! How insulting - Why would I do that when I'm on my way to the Bodega in a taxi already? This was definitely cancelled on their end and they are trying to avoid the obviously crappy responsibility of cancelling on me 30 mins before because they know it's bad. Therefore I wasted my time and my money paying for a taxi to nothing, so I really advise you to pick another Bodega to visit so you don't risk getting the same terrible customer experience I had. It's super rude and I'm really unhappy, I wouldn't want anyone else to have their time wasted by these people.

First of all, the Past-Present-future tasting session is way overpriced. We were a group of 5, and with what it costs us we could have bought 3 bottles of their best wines, instead we were given just exactly one tiny sip of 4 different wines. The wines were good and the guide was very nice and friendly but she barely speaks English so we didn’t learn much. Laslty but not least, while we were tasting the last wine the manager interrupted the tasting and asked to talk to the guide. When the guide came back she asked us to pack and leave immediately without given us the reason why. We were rushed out and barely have the time to take some pictures and realized that everyone were already outside locking down the place. It was almost 5pm and hence their closing time. Nonetheless we only had 45 minutes for this expensive experience. Overall very mediocre experience. If you like their wine I recommend just buy a bottle and don’t do the tour. And if you want a tasting I think you have plenty of better choices of wineries in Mendoza. Very disappointing!

Their wine might be good, but they are extremely disorganized: we booked weeks in advance and we were not in their system, though we had their confirmation by email. We were not allowed to have the wine tasting and SOFIA, the hostess, was rude from the very first contact. She said there was nothing to be done and said we could walk around (she didn’t come along). Suddenly she SCREAMED we weren’t supposed to see the wine tanks (no instruction had been given to us regarding where to go and where not to go - no signs around to guide us). Absolutely rude and inappropriate. We went to Bodega Salentein with high expectations for the wine tasting… extremely disappointing… we paid for a high level experience and were placed in a group of over 40 people with just one lady to guide and serve us… there weren’t enough glasses for everyone and they couldn’t provide us with any more… there was also lack of cheese and nuts (supposed to be part of the tasting)… we weren’t delivered what we paid for… never again
