What an incredible experience! Firstly our waiter Bruno (I'm very certain that's his name lol) was so amazing! You could tell he was busy but gave us time, conversation and his energy. The food we ordered tasted absolutely delicious, still tasting this morning. Stand out was the steak tartar, they make the sauce live and give you a spice option from 1-10. The ox cheek was simply melt in the mouth and so rich in flavour! Atmosphere, ambience & service was top notch. It was worth every penny. The only tiny negative was we were waiting a little bit longer to get served than expected but maybe that's part of the Spanish culture? I don't know lol. But like I said, Bruno was AMAZING! Recommend.

A terrific culinary experience. Phenomenal ambiance, service, and food. Our waiter, Juan Carlos, offered some fantastic recommendations, like the ensaladilla rusa. We probably wouldn’t have ordered it without his suggestion, and it ended up being the best one we’ve ever eaten. Everything was delightful, but I’ll also highlight the croquetas, cow’s tail raviolis and the flan. Can’t wait to visit again.

Oh my god! Done of the best food I've ever had. Everything we had was amazing! Brilliant balance of flavours in every dish. This place is famous for its ravioli (starter but you can order by the unit) which was unbelievable. The chargrilled peppers were superb. All mains were just delicious. Service was extremely pleasant and professional. Great value for money; 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 desserts, wine, beer and bread €140 😮 Highly recommended

On a Saturday, it was definitely a place to be - it was buzzing with people and a very cozy & lively vibe. I had a table at the bar area, and there’s a restaurant at the back. Had a few tapas, was a little confusion how service worked - some tables had a server, I ended up ordering at the bar itself. All the dishes were tasty, and good quality. The only downside was the speed of service, they seemed to forget some of the order, leading to waiting for over 45 minutes for my last tapas, having had to ask about it again.

Very touristy place. Food is ok but not worth the waiting time in my view. I only tried the bar but not restaurant. Maybe restaurant is better?

A tradicional place with attitude… 🤔 when will Google add the 0,5 mark? I would totally give this place a 4,5 instead of 4. The key question as usual on my reviews is: will I come back? Definitely to Bodega del Riojano y will. BUT. I think this would be the perfect place for lunch instead of dinner. This is how great Spanish cuisine is… this is for me the place where you get in for a proper northern Spanish meal at around 14:30 and get out at 19:30 more or less… and that’s the attitude I am talking about. The premises are super well decorated creating a solid traditional unique space exclusively dedicated to eat. No non sense. No let’s see who’s here tonight. You come here to eat. That cecina you see in the picture - pro tip for those not familiar with the Spanish cuisine in depth: cecina y definitely not Serrano ham. Please look closer. And if you are ready, embrace yourself in the world of tasty well done curated meats. 🤤 I just ate and thinking about it I can eat again. The king crab cake was so delicious that I forgot to take the picture till almost too late. They have a well groomed wine selection and every time I am back in Spain I like to try the varieties of a good Ribera del Duero. “Valduero” didn’t disappoint. Now if everything was so good and so spectacular why didn’t I give them all 5 stars? Well… it is true the service could’ve been a bit more welcoming, it is true that as the dinner progressed things got much better, but the fact that they only have that exclusive tortilla at night made me back up that one star. We were lucky since it’s a limited edition every evening and we managed to get the last one. But no tough stomach can deal with that digestion right before sleeping. So not recommended. But then? If it’s only available for dinner your options are pretty much reduced. So my proposal would be for them to develop further the lunch time clientele and move that tortilla where it belongs, for the aperitivo or proper lunch. You will see how much more it will be desired. 😉
