I was recently in town for the Memorial Day weekend and had to check out Café Bodega! How did we end up there? I saw it on the way to the house we rented and it looked like a cool place from the outside but we wanted a Bloody Mary. They have a vegan one! That worked great for our group so we headed over.
The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Sunday brunch time, but we learned they were short staffed so there was a wait for a table. Our group decided to sit at the bar and were seated right away. Their bloody mix is made from scratch (fresh juices) and comes with pickled veggies as the garnish. I thought it was pretty good and the veggies made it a small snack.
We also ordered some food including the fries (hand cut and yummy) which came with a choice if dipping sauce. We tried the jalapeno sour cream. The whitefish cakes were pretty tasty as well, it came with 3 decent sized cakes, greens and a sauce. A good size for a meal or to share.
Lastly, we got the vegetarian nachos which in my picture may appear dry or burnt, but let me tell you, they were layered with tons of cheese which you see once you dig in. Very good nachos! The sides like Pico and beans were tiny for the portion but still good. All of the menu items are served all day, every day (with the exception of entrees) and certain things on the menu.
They use local food and house made bread, plenty of vegan, veg or meat options.
The staff was friendly, they also have a cute little merchandise area with local products and their branded items like stickers, coozies, hats, etc.
I highly recommend Café Bodega if you are in the area!
