Being a house/ electonic music fan, I'm always on the lookout for good clubs playing house music. Places like Tao, Soundbar, Electric Hotel, Spybar, Prysm, Concord Music Hall and Radius are a few of the most popular, although some of these wouldn't technically classify as a nightclub, but more of a venue. Bodega is one of those few hidde gems you probably won't heqr about. Situated behind Barrio, this is definitely a great place to be if you're an EDM fan. The live music, especially the drums and saxophone was a lovely experience, really complementing the great music played by the DJ. And oh the music!! All classic EDM songs just when you think it can't get better, the DJ brings in a song that elevates the whole experience to a different level. This has become one of my favorite places to go. Unless you're looking for a particular name DJ's show, I'd go to Bodega for their in house DJ.

Bodega is the new spot in the West Loop! First off, the vibe is insane. You walk in, and it's like you've stepped into this funky Mexican street scene. The front part looks like a food truck, but don't be fooled – there's a whole other world waiting for you. The tacos are absolutely fire! I had the Bandeja Paisa tacos and holy guacamole, they were packed with so much flavor. The DJ was on point, bottle service area and service was top notch and made me feel like I was in south beach. Seriously, whether you're looking for amazing tacos, a wild night out, or both, Bodega is where it's at. This place is my new go-to spot. Thank you for the hospitality!

Do yourself a favor and do not ever step foot in this place. I have never been so disrespected by staff and management like I was here (with the exception of the waitresses, who were very nice). We paid for a table and were kicked out for a more regular guest, whom I was told “spends a lot.” This is of no relevance to me and my party, who were also paying customers. We were told they were taking us to another table top, which meant a tiny staffing table in the corner by the kitchen door with no seating. The audacity, condescension, and lack of empathy from these people is truly unmatched.

The worst experience ever at Chicago. We host a 100-people event at the club. Chinese people made the night possible. The security was terrible and racist against Asians. As a club at the diverse streeterville neighborhood we are sad to post that our friend got punched in the face for absolutely no reason. The security rudely asked us to leave with NO EXPLANATION OR WARNING. We have contacted the Chicago Police Department and Fire Department. Please stay tuned for this and never come back to this club again.

The bouncer punched my friend in the face and ran away when police arrived. My friend got hurt so severely and was sent to emergency. Bodega refused to apologize or pay for the emergency fee and pushed the responsibility back to customers. We hosted the event there and invited so many friends. They treated customers like this. Will never go to this bar again. Don’t block my photos.

To be honest, I’ve been out enjoying Chicago’s night life for the past few years and my experience in Bodega was a nightmare. Me and my friend were there for an event, later we went outside for a cigarette and the security guard started racist harassment by blocking us from getting back in, and started pushing us. One security guard then attacked my friend from the back, punched right into my friend’s face and ran off. My friend’s nose was broken and we spent the whole night in ER. This whole thing is super frustrating!! Minor concussion and a broken nose now waiting for surgery. The security guard just ran off when the police arrived but we captured his face in the video. Avoid this club if u don’t wanna pay for a punch in the face!!!!

Bodega was a terrible experience. The bouncer assumed my gender. It was a very frat like vibe. He also hated Gibsons which is the biggest red flag.

I really liked it! Although, the drinks tasted great, they were way too expensive

Yelp
Bodega Nightclub is an absolute gem! The vibe is electric, with fantastic playlists that keep you dancing all night. The staff is super friendly, making you feel right at home. Drinks are creative and reasonably priced for the ambiance. Definitely a must-visit if you're looking for an unforgettable night out with friends!

Yelp
Last month, as a part of St. Paddy's Day bar crawl, my friends and I started the celebration from Bodega Nightclub. Hands down it was one of the best bars to kickstart the day. It's a pretty dope nightclub that plays house music to which we were quite vibing and dancing to. Getting in with the wristbands was pretty quick. The security was on point. It didn't feel claustrophobic even though the space is small and in spite the crowd. Also this bar shares the space with Barrio restaurant. The cocktails were pretty good too; not at all a watered down version. Overall great music and great vibe!

Yelp
Very fun speakeasy style club! Great mixed drinks with very nice bartenders! I loved the Watermelon Hibiscus Spritzer! Great DJ with live instrument accompaniment which was super fun! We were in Chicago for one night and I wanted to dance and have fun! We got there when it opened so it was a bit slow but the bouncer and manger/owner were very welcoming and made sure everyone had fun! We ended up circle back later in the night and it was BUMPIN! Definitely worth checking out if you want to dance or get bottle service!

Yelp
Was visiting Chicago this past weekend and was recommended and instructed to meet up at Bodega Night Club. First off the speak easy entrance is an awesome feature. This place is not very big at all but has an unbelievable atmosphere. The Dj was good and was a great mix of live entertainment and DJ. I want to make sure I thank the amazing staff that keep the drinks coming and made the night truly memorable for this visitor from Cali. The two individuals behind the bar Steven Tabares and the sexy Bianca ilbuga couldn't ask for a more awesome duo. Special thanks to manager Ian Henderson for making everyone in our group feel like VIP's. I would most definitely recommend paying this night club a visit and hope you are lucky enough to be taking care by any of these individuals.

Yelp
Good music good place and good people! Gets kinda crowded though since the dance floor is so tiny but drinks are good and the music is chefs kiss! Def recommend if you lookin for a cozy Latin spot.

Yelp
I've been going to Bodega since it opened. It's very small, you'd expect bigger place for a nightclub, but then again, it's Chicago and clubs here are not that big (Tao and Prysm are the only bigger clubs). It's pretty dark inside, but that makes it give that intimate feel. There is always good atmosphere. They used to have a guy paying saxophone throughout the night along with the DJ, now they have a guy playing drums. Both good. Crowd is as in most clubs, probably better than what you see in Underground and Tao. Service is good whether you have a table or you are at the bar. Money well spent.

Yelp
So many guys!! I'm a girl so you'd think that's a good thing but it was too much. Like 10 guys for every girl. Music was from two decades ago so if you're looking for good music then this is not the place but if you're looking to reminisce about the "good old days" then go here. There were people which is better than no people but all but I think there's better clubs in Chicago, at least I hope so.

Yelp
I am updating my review. It seems the general attitude of security and doorstaff has changed. None of the bouncers are throwing their egos around and from my past few experiences we have not sensed insecurity by the staff when being told to move out of the way. People are smiling and asking nicely even in a crowded environment. Thumbs up to the management. If this continues we will proceed to spend alot of money here and continue to invite and entertain our friends. I hope this does not change anytime soon.
