"Born in South Beach in 2014, this modern taqueria arrived in Downtown Fort Lauderdale in 2020. Since then, it’s been a hit for the business lunch crowd and late-nighters needing to soak up their booze from The Wharf across the street. Staples include jalapeño brisket, and tequila marinated shrimp selections." - Jesse Scott

"Menin Hospitality, the team behind the mega-popular South Beach taco spot and late night drinking den, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, are opening a location in Fort Lauderdale. The group has signed a 10-year lease in the Bryan building in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 21 West Las Olas Boulevard that is slated to open in the spring of 2020. Bodega Taqueria y Tequila Fort Lauderdale will mirror the South Beach location, doubling as a taco joint and a late night “hidden” lounge and bar. Open daily, the front half will be a taqueria with guests ordering from a full-sized, retrofitted vintage airstream trailer turned into a taco truck. Inside the restaurant, a door will lead guests to Bodega’s late-night bar, which will be open until 5 a.m. nightly, just like the Miami Beach outpost." - Olee Fowler

We stopped in and had chicken tacos and nachos. The food was good and fast. I think there was some confusion with the orders and the didn't provide napkins. I like the location and sitting outside was a nice vibe. I recommend the chicken tacos and nachos.

Google
Nice staff and fun theme, but I came here for the tacos and unfortunately they were fair.

Bodega Las Olas is located in a cool area and the tacos we tried were very good. We had the Fish Tacos and the Black Bean Taco.

Went on a Saturday night at around 10pm, tacos were delicious, and could order margaritas or other cocktails. The music was AMAZING, such good vibes. It wasn't super full so there was plenty of room to dance. I'll definitely be back.

Bodega is by far one of the best restaurants and bars in Fort Lauderdale. Atmosphere is great, staff is amazing and the food is phenomenal.

Google
Love this place! I had a great time the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the food and drinks were delicious and full of flavor. The highlight of the visit was definitely the service. Michaelangelo, the manager, was outstanding. He was professional, warm, and truly made us feel taken care of. You can tell he puts a lot of effort into making sure guests have a great experience. If you're in the mood for tasty food, great drinks, good music and excellent service, this place is worth a visit!

Google
The menu is simple, but the food was very fresh and flavorful. Seating is limited, but the location near the Riverwalk is great. Our bartender was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again.

Google
I went right by the food and went straight for the speakeasy. Atmosphere was great, music great, drinks amazing. Just know if it’s busy and you go out for air, you might not be able to get back in.

Yelp
THEY HAVE VEGETARIAN TACOS NOW!!! I recently went vegetarian and have been missing this amazing place and NOW I CAN GET AGAIN . They were so yummy i recommend the smashed yuca one so absolutely good. Ive had it like everyday this past week.

Madison S.

Yelp
This place is just overall not good, first the food is flavorless and and for some reason all the meats tasted borderline the same (and also weirdly sweet). The margarita on draft tasted like water, and also looked like water. The staff was friendly and the fresh made cocktails were way better, but if you're looking for quality Mexican food this is not the place I'd go for that.

Marlyn N.

Yelp
Happy hour $3 Drinks and Appetizers. The Amazing bartender Sarah is my favorite and made the experience very memorable. !If you are looking for great food and drinks served with style and a smile it's Bodega Time!

Kate A.

Yelp
Was out with a group of friends and when heading to the Whatf we walked by and stopped in. It was a Saturday night and they had some great music playing- we ended up not going to the wharf. As the night went on it got more and more people as the dj sets continued. The drinks were reasonably priced- good mix of music. We had a great time and I would go back!

Jacob S.

Yelp
Dude this place and the one in Miami used to be great. Unfortunately they let corporate greed get the best of them. It's always been pricy but it was worth it. Now they've raised their prices and cut back on portions and quality. No wonder they're essentially empty now. Serious let down big dog

Jimi J.

Yelp
The staff were awesome, very helpful and friendly. They have an awesome selection at the bar and knew their products to the point that you could imagine them in an infomercial! We had a variety of dishes but our favorite, by far were the loaded yuca fries. I have no clue as to how they prepared them, the were the fluffiest I think I've ever had. The queso was silky and had just enough kick. I can not explain the degree of yum that the tacos provided. This is a lively location and their music (provided by a DJ) made everyone want to party! Kayleigh (sp?) was on top of things at the bar and made the perfect selections for us...I hope to return soon.

Harold R.

Yelp
This place 2 years ago was 5 stars... now they changed their menu and it's the most basic an expensive taco/burrito spot in fort Lauderdale. All their favorite burrito and tacos on their menu have disappeared and they don't even have a person taking your order. just a register.

Ellie B.

Yelp
I wish every bar I went to had an attached taqueria!! Not having to make an extra Uber stop or order delivery for late night snacks was incredible. We got a mix of burritos, tacos, chips and churros for our group and nothing was outstanding, but to a group a people heading home at 2am it was perfection.

Monai D.

Yelp
I recently visited Bodega after a night out at the Wharf. I love tacos, so I had to stop in. They have a kiosk to make the ordering process faster. However, if you're going late at night, be aware that drunk people tend to move slower. I tried the al pastor and jalapeno brisket tacos and OMG, they were amazing. I could eat those every day. If you see a long line, don't be discouraged. Some of those people might actually be in line to go to their speakeasy :)

Brittany T.

Yelp
We came here for a quick lunch after exercising at a Beauty Boost event across the street at Society. The tacos were tasty and full of flavor. I ordered the pescado taco and steak chimichurri, and both were good. I was really impressed with the steak chimichurri though. I wasn't quite expecting the flavors, but really enjoyed it! The margarita wasn't strong and mainly tasted like juice, so next time I may just opt for the extra shot. Service was fast and friendly. We were the only ones there so we weren't expecting much of a wait. I'd come back!

Harsh S.

Yelp
If you are in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Bodega is a must-visit. They serve some of the best mexican food in the city, especially when you have a late night munchies since they are open till 1 am. They have a solid menu including burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and more. I usually order the Clasico burrito with beans and I find it to be a large portion for a reasonable price. They also have deals on drinks and desserts depending on the day and time. During the week, the bar area is turned into a speakeasy with seating to eat and enjoy drinks with friends. There is mostly no wait and the staff is friendly and efficient. During the weekends, the bar is turned into a small club playing a mix of pop and rap music. Again, the wait is usually short to get in. They have indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas to protect you from the sun. Parking is tough to find unless you park in the garage two streets down or in the nearby parking lot which is valet.

Yelp
I really enjoy the birria tacos at this place, but my most recent experience was very frustrating. I ordered online and selected curbside pick up, which usually means someone working in the restaurant will bring your food out to you. When I arrived, there was no way for me to let them know I was outside and for someone to bring me my food. I sat outside for about 5 to 10 minutes looking up a phone number that would get me in touch with someone in the restaurant, but the only phone number they had took me through an automated system that directed me to their website. One of the automated options did send me a link to their WhatsApp, but it's only text-based, and their WhatsApp is automated as well, so I couldn't get in contact with anyone at the restaurant unless I actually went inside. With this being a very busy Saturday night since this was right in downtown Las Olas, there were lots of people in the restaurant and nowhere nearby that was legal to park. So, I had to park in the middle of the road, put my emergency lights on, and run inside to get my food. When I spoke to one of the workers who was handing out to-go orders, I told her I ordered curbside but didn't see a way of contacting them for someone to bring out my order. She proceeded to tell me that I have to come in and pick up my order. Why is there a curbside option when ordering online if no one is going to bring out my order?? That's not curbside. I even tipped, thinking that someone was going to bring my food out to me, but with me having to go inside anyway and pick up my order, this will be the last time I tip... but not the last time ordering from them, those tacos are pretty good.

Yelp
The manager Michael Angelo is not nice at all! He should really work on Customer service and hospitality. Very rude and dismissive towards my friend and I. I would never support this establishment again. I love the location in Miami Beach I'll never come back to this one.

Monique Y.

Yelp
I've been the this place twice and I've always been satisfied with the food and customer service! I ordered the surf n turf burrito and it was nicely portioned and tasty! The rice, steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned! Also tried guacamole and chips which was free with a yelp check-in. I was gifted an Oreo paleta from another customer and it was delicious! Creamy and sweet! There's not much seating in the restaurant but the music and decor www pretty nice! Next doors to there's a bar and I will be back to experience! Prices are decent and based on the location!

Ryan S.

Yelp
Good late night food after a fun night out. Definitely hits the spot and the food was better than I expected. I ordered a quesadilla and it was pretty good. Service was all digital. I placed my order on the tablet then they texted me when my order was ready. Who knew tacos and quesadillas would make for a great late night snack.

Stacey R.

Yelp
The pouch margaritas are an absolute hit--deliciously strong and refreshing. Churros were good, could've been a bit more warmer for my liking. The overall aesthetic of the place is on point, creating a vibrant and trendy atmosphere. I appreciated the self-service setup; it was quick and efficient, with my order ready as soon as my number was called. I'm definitely planning to return soon, especially to try the quesadilla. A great spot that's worth revisiting!

Jenna I.

Yelp
This place has the rudest staff and the food has gotten so foul over the last year. Used to be so good, I would frequent there for lunch but ive now had two experiences in a row that I've encountered unnecessary attitude and bad tasting food, to the point its not even edible...Really disappointed.

Sean R.

Yelp
The amount of meat served in the tacos is ridiculously small. I purchased 6 street tacos for $35? I should expect to get more than 1 oz of steak some onions, and a corn tortilla for $5.50. Ammo wrong?!?!

Robert H.

Yelp
I have lived across the street for a year. It's no secret this place is way overpriced. But these burritos should not be this small. Stay away from this place till they hire someone who knows how to roll a burrito, or they start making better burritos in general. What the F is this?

Rikka B.

Yelp
Came for cinco de mayo so the lines were long but not that terrible as expected. My 2nd time coming to this restaurant. Food did a while to come out but it was good. Fresh and hot. It's almost impossible to find seating in or out

Ellie W.

Yelp
First time at Bodega at I really liked the vibe of the location it's very relaxed. We ordered two quesadillas the chicken and the Birria one. The one we were most excited for was the Birria one the consome was a bit overwhelming with tomato but it wasn't bad the quesadilla it's self was really good the meat and cheese really paired well together. The staff and service was also really fast too. Overall a positive experience I'd defintely come back.

Thad M.

Yelp
Juan and Kass were two amazing bar tenders. They were extremely friendly and helpful.

Janis T.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our visit to Bodega. The decor is bright and arty, and there's plenty of space at at the big bar. Our bartender was helpful and whipped up some really great cocktails. Wish we could've tried the food but definitely plan to return and make that happen.

Simisola L.

Yelp
I'm really disappointed with my recent experience at Bodega in Fort Lauderdale. I placed an order to-go and waited far longer than expected. When I finally got my food, everything was extremely COLD--from the tacos to the churros. It was clear the quality has taken a hit, as nothing tasted fresh, and it felt like the food had been sitting out for a while. I've enjoyed this place in the past, but the standards have definitely gone down. Very disappointed.

Bree Z.

Yelp
We ordered on the food side with the touch screen and waited next store on the bar side. I threw my tacos out after 2 bites. My husband ate all of his. Beef empanadas were decent. We each had a Miller light and a shot each while waiting. It was more expensive than the 6 tacos and 2 empanadas. For 15 minutes out of the house, it cost us $80. Way overpriced, definitely won't be back.

Sherry W.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday night and it took awhile in line to order at the counter and then 15 minutes to get food. They give you a buzzer while you wait for the food. The steak nachos for $20 were not warm. After the first layer of chips, there was no toppings. There is no salsa bar. They have a self serve soda machine. There is outdoor dining or inside in the attached bar. They have security guards inside to help keep order.

John C.

Yelp
Holy guacamole! How the heck did I not know about this place!?! Hands down, the best and most flavorful tacos, burritos and bowls. I LOVVVVVEEEE the yucca fries. It's crispy outside and full of yucca filling. Most places have over fried yucca fries but not Bodega. You better get it, it's sooo delicious. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Samantha is so down to earth and always asking customers how the food is, she makes the atmosphere so chill. Great place. I come here at least once a week.

Chantal A.

Yelp
The staff is so friendly at Bodega. I had the impossible chorizo burrito and it was really tasty. I recommend getting a side of guacamole because the avocado salsa is slightly tangy and doesn't give it that avocado taste that you may be looking for. Sidebar: I'm am avocado-holic Chips were fresh and crisp and the salsa was giving tasty and delicious.

Julius B.

Yelp
1st timer. Been wanting to try this place, but unfortunately super disappointing. Tiny tacos with a small portion of meat. You only get 3 for $11 on Tuesdays which is crazy expensive for the amount of food you get. The tacos are 2-bites and done. And then you're hungry after because it wasn't enough food.

Jim S.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER FROM THE APP. They always forget things. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. Terrible experience and support is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. Go to another place and save yourself the hassle

Robert S.

Yelp
Great delicious taco joint near the Riverwalk. We were having a few drinks in the area and wanted to eat something casual and fun....someone mentioned this taqueria and off we went. I ordered a burrito and it came with chips...it was really good...filling, nicely seasoned, really yummy. Yelp
Came here after checking out the wharf across the street we got here before 11 to check out there club behind the taco shop and the line wasn't long got in for free and was even offered a shot of whiskey!!! The music was hip hop and reggaeton, it was super packed and crowded. If you come with a group I would recommend rsvp for a table to be comfortable but if it's 2 ppl that's cool but know that you will sweat lol

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with hubby and the baby. This day it was raining so all outdoor area was wet as expected. Here is what we ordered and loved : Queso dip with chips Phili burrito Birria taco carne asada taco 2 frozen clásico margaritas

Jenny O.

Yelp
I rarely post a negative review but this experience was pure chaos and considering I paid over $150 for cold tacos , poor service and watery margaritas , I think it's fair to let the public know. We frequent the Bodega in Aventura , we were in the area for an event in the city and decided to have dinner here. Worst dinning experience we've had in a long time , absolute chaos and disorganization. With the exception of one super nice guy who was embarrassed and stressed , the rest of the staff was lazy, rude and clearly didn't give a crap about the customers. Bartender was new and alone with over 20 people at the bar. I ordered two margaritas and had to go get them myself because the guy helping the bartender was too lazy to bring them ( not lazy to charge me though). My drink was melting in the counter and still I got a super bad attitude from the bartender. Our food took over 45 minutes and we were missing multiple items, had to go back twice to get stuff. The food was cold , poorly prepared and the staff is rude . The management here needs to be on top of the staff, or get new people that want to work and that care for their trade.

Mario R.

Yelp
I thought I had already reviewed this amazing spot, so I'm glad I double checked. I've had several items on the menu and everything is absolutely delicious. My personal favorites though are the brisket and bitrria tacos, both are just the right size and full of flavor. 5 stars!!

Allen Y.

Yelp
Great taco place located next to The Wharf for tacos. Good variety of tacos and drinks. There is a neighboring drinking lounge for additional seating. Pros - good variety of tacos. We got a sampler of tacos. Unique interior design with a "taco truck" counter. The flavors of meat were delicious and definitely hits the spot. Cons - the taco birria tortilla was hard, tough, and chewy rather than the crispy nature it should be. Definitely stop by for a quick snack while hanging out downtown.

Isabelle G.

Yelp
Ordered one of almost every taco. Some of them were bland and some were seasoned. Really a hit or a miss. Overall they were a decent size. I wish they heated the tortilla first cause it was cold while the filling was warm.

Jacinth M.

Yelp
Food was horrible. I'm not sure which was worst the food or the service. The tacos was iced cold. I asked why are they serving it cold. They took it back and brought a lukewarm taco and the tortilla came apart and I couldn't eat the taco. Let me mention they didn't give no silverware. I would not recommend and never come back.

Gabriella P.

Yelp
Waited 45 min for two tacos and nachos. Walked in and there was 1-2 orders ahead. Will never be back

Karen N.

Yelp
Do you know there is a speakeasy here? During the day, it is a club. At night? Who knows, but this place jams! We came here before going to dinner somewhere else and did not know that if you walk down the urinal hallway, you will step into another dimension. The drinks are strong and the vibe is chilling. Love this place!

Ambry J.

Yelp
Great spot for happy hour in downtown FTL. This place is a vibe with an extensive tequila selection :)). The prices were great and the food and drinks matched! Definitely a great after work spot.

Christos A.

Yelp
Very tasty tacos, also pretty expensive to park your vehicle anywhere in the area, unfortunately. The $11 to park my car was worth the food here. The tacos are on point in every way and the self service option makes it quick to get your order. They also have their take on frozen fruit ice bars. Very tasty and satisfying, especially on an exceptionally hot day.

Lexi L.

Yelp
I like bodegas food a lot! My favorite is the steak chimmichurri taco. However, this location is always inconsistent. Theyve messed up mine and my friend's orders multiple times. The esquites tonight is especially bad, it's way too liquidy.

Michelle C.

Yelp
The food was fantastic and priced well. Went there for New Year's Eve and met the owners and had a blast!

Andrew T.

Yelp
40 min wait for 2 tacos. Im not even going to review the food because im late to where i have to go and even if the food was amazing i would never go back here To owner you need to train your chef to cook multiple orders at once or batch cook Ok I got my food, I had to come back and say something about the tacos not having any food in them. They were almost empty. They skimped on the meat and everything else inside of it. And my food was COLD!!

Jasmen R.

Yelp
Bodega is normally a go to whenever we're craving tacos in-person or at hike. But this was our most mediocre trip. The restaurant got busy right after we arrived, so thankfully we missed the line. I was very clear with my order and even repeated. Only to receive my food with missing items. When I went to ask for the missing items, I was told it wasn't rung in with the rest of the food, so I'd have to stand in line to reorder. Nope. No, thank you. Bodega food is always consistent, with my favorites being the elote, and fried grouper bowl with several of the toppings. Friend ordered yucca (my first time having here) and it was delicious. Still recommend. Just annoyed.

Geraldine O.

Yelp
We got here for happy hour, and I love that they have it on until 8 PM! The tacos actually surprised me; they were delicious! Very well seasoned and had a delightful array of sauces to go with (although none of them are truly spicy). We stocked to mostly margaritas, and they were really good. Perfectly balanced with a nice rim of a tajin-like mix of spices. We ordered other drinks to try them but stayed with margaritas in the end as the others seemed too sweet for our taste. The lounge/bar area I very interesting, the decor is excellent. But it does get pretty dark as the night progresses, and it turns into a bar (they will take the bar stools out of the way). I saw more than one person using their phone's flashlight to try to see their drinks, the menu, and honestly just around! You can come for happy hour, stay for dancing, and then get your taco share before you leave on their taco food truck next to the lounge area.

Nina U.

Yelp
Called in a pickup order but was told that the order needed to be placed online. Headed over to the site to place the order. The online menu made me aware of options such as sweet chili jalapeño wings that are an option but unfortunately was not available to order last night. I order 3 birria tacos and guac and chips--same consistency and quick service.

Tatiana C.

Yelp
So, we ended up here since we we're looking for happy hours in Ft Lauderdale. It's not show off place, you'd have to google it or know it to get there. There are tables outside and inside. Also they have the tacos side if you only want to grab tacos. Their cocktails were amazing!! I loved the Cazadores Marg (added jalapeño and tajin because im a spicy kinda girl ) Luis the server told me no drink would be really spicy. The tacos were amazing, i ordered al pastor and carnitas. Please try the food it was amazing! Def i will be back!!!
