"While Bodega’s big neon sign reading “Wet Your Lips” may seem like social media pandering for the athleisure crowd, it sets the tone for a flirty, wine-drenched night—just one of the many reasons this wine bar and restaurant is the definitive date night destination in North Beach. Another: the small plates are ideal for sharing with someone you just swiped right on. Start things off with the snacky crispy potatoes or mushroom toast, and if things go well, keep the night going with a round of short rib tacos." - julia chen 1, lani conway, patrick wong

"You’ll have to put in work to get your hands on Bodega’s breakfast burrito. The North Beach wine bar only sells them on Saturdays from 9am until they sell out—and they will. Participating in the citywide footrace for their hefty burrito is well worth it, though. Chorizo, eggs, avocado, and crispy potatoes with a crunch audible enough to hear from across Washington Square are all wrapped tightly in a flour tortilla. If you sleep through your alarm on Saturday, you have another chance: Celeste, their Cow Hollow sister bar, serves the same burrito on Sundays at 9am." - ricky rodriguez, patrick wong, julia chen 1

"If the big neon “wet your lips” sign in the back of Bodega doesn’t set the tone for a fun and flirty night, nothing will. The wine bar in North Beach is an easy spot to grab a glass of wine with a person you could potentially spend the rest of your life with (no pressure). The white-walled space is decorated with plants and antlers hanging on the wall, a great opportunity to find out how your date feels about taxidermy. Snacky plates like burrata and crispy potatoes also come out quickly, but we think you should keep the rosé flowing and stay a while. " - julia chen 1, lani conway

I’ve never actually been inside the bar area of bodega but swung by for the first time last week with my roomate so we could grab some snacks from the 24/7 storefront. We ended up grabbing some snacks and a couple drinks and I was really impressed with everything. 5/5 stars

Another hole in the wall in Fort worth, was looking for some unique bars to celebrate my birthday so we did bar hopping throughout the area. The place seems little on the outside, but once you pass the refrigerator door (you have ask the girl in the entrance that you came for the bar, just show your ID and she'll let you in). I read somewhere that you had to buy something at the store to be allowed to enter to the bar, but the girl just asked for our IDs. On the inside it was pretty empty, probably because it was very early (7:00pm more or less) but it has enough space to throw big parties. Also next to where you get the drinks, there's a dispensary machine, with some cool items to purchase, we got the Happy birthday kit, which had pretty cool items on the inside, such as a pin that you can wear on top of your clothes that says "Buy me a drink, it's my birthday", as well as a little crown made of paper, a couple of balloons, etc... to drink, my friends got piña coladas which were pretty good, and I got a Gin cocktail that was veeery good as well (can't recall the name).

Google
Really like the welcoming staff, and clientele is generally very friendly. Drink prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. Other than vending machines no food to speak of. Not in love with the new storefront. 2 pool tables in the rear tend to active, but easy to get a game in.

Google
Great first experience at Bodega! A nice selection of wine by the glass or bottle, seating, snacks, and sandwiches. In additions, a mini market. Fantastic service.

Google
The front is a bodega (small convenience store). You have to buy something to get access to the bar, to me makes no sense to walk into a bar with a soda or energy drinks but oh well… Bar is huge, cool deco and drinks, cheap. I recommend the frozen piña colada. Really good We went early so it was empty but I can see this place as a nice party room at night

Google
Went here for a shock factor for my out of town friends. Everyone was so kind and Malibu rum was doing an activation so there were a lot of free drinks flowing. Darts was cool and there are enough pool tables to go around. The DJ was FIRE! I made a request and 2 sounds later it was on. Literally! Great location. Would go back for sure.

Google
What a fun idea! Only draw back is you have to purchase something from the store in order to get in but it’s worth it. Pretty big place and good service!

Google
Loved my service, delicious food and neighborhood feel. I loved our discussion on sauerkraut! Everyone needs to visit. Wonderful grocery selection as well.

Yelp
This is a speakeasy. Very cool! Enter in front in the grocery store (bodega) - the bar door is to the left of the cash register. Inside there is lots of seating, a huge screen tv and games in the back room. Our server prepared a Halloween themed cocktail that was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our drinks in a private little nook.

Jasmaine D.

Yelp
THE MUSIC!!! The DJ changes the songs entirely too fast! You don't have time to get into a good groove before he changes the music. We were 23 deep for a bachelorette party and he didn't read the room properly. At the rest of the spots we went to they read the room and changed the music a little to accommodate such a large party. Then they have the NERVE to have him up high with a little security guard so people can't reach him. Terrible!

Yelp
This bar is fun! It is a speak easy so the front is a connivence store. You have to make a purchase to get inside the secret bar area. I don't think they have food it's just drinks and dancing. Over all music is good, people are friendly, the dance floor is pretty large. Bathrooms are nice and drinks are a little pricey but nothing crazy.

Dee V.

Yelp
A friend and I barhopped and ended up here. Lauren, at the counter, was super friendly. We didn't have a code but we made a purchase and went inside. The music was good, bartender was nice and the place wasn't crowded. There was a taco truck parked on the side and the tacos were good. We left there and immediately had to go back as my friend left her wallet. Shout out to whoever gave the wallet to Lauren at the counter. She saw us running back and knew it was us. Anyway, very cool place and Lauren is amazing.

Oliver B.

Yelp
Cute concept for a speak easy. The bodega cashier was a friendly young guy, and as you enter your code you'll arrive to an open concept kinda bar. The drinks were weak AF so most likely will not return, or enforce this establishment because of it. Small outdoor space with patio games with a few tables and chairs.

Emily D.

Yelp
Coming here close to Halloween 2021 made me feel like i was a member of a super secret cool club. I like how you have the buy something from the bodega to get into the club. The night i went it was exciting, very very loud, smaller than expected but it was packed with people. They had some VIP areas and it was cool to be a part of the dance environment but the drinks were pretty slow and because it was so crowded it was hard to get the bartenders attention at times. I havent been back since that one time but its a cool place to know about / check out once.

Emily M.

Yelp
This was the coolest hidden speakeasy I've been to yet! It looked just like a little convenient store from the front, just a little shop. You have to buy something then when cashing out you get a code that opens the freezer door and leads to another door that takes you into this huge hidden bar. It was super fun. It's not fancy by any means so don't expect an upscale speakeasy. Not a dressy place. But very cool disguise. More like a hanging sports bar kinda vibe inside with a giant tv and lots of games: corn hole, darts, ping pong, pool table. Lots of fun!

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for quite awhile. Between reading articles of the various speakeasies around the DFW area and also seeing a music video of a favorite band, Blacktop Mojo, that was filmed at Bodega, I just knew I should come. We got there early, for Bodega standards, at around 830pm. If you want a seat or have some social anxiety you need to get over by having less crowd first, come early. Elite Hint: If you smoke or need some air, go out through the plastic curtains because you will still technically be in Bodega. DO NOT go through the exit thinking you need to exit to catch a smoke. They have a good amount of security on a Saturday night. They are friendly as long as you follow the rules, just like any other club. They DO NOT serve food so get food before you go. There is a convenient store attached to Bodega so I think you can grab food if needed but might need to re-enter. I would ask bartender/staff what the situation with that is at the time you might need some food. Chasers are included with the shots I purchased last night so when they offer, just get them. Have fun! This is a rare find in Fort Worth, at the time of this writing.

Cuong B.

Yelp
The entrance girl came off pretty rude "One of you need to buy something or leave a tip before u go in". And handed me back my money with an attitude. Not a friendly vibe. Charges gratuity for drinks!

Lexis A.

Yelp
Honestly both bartenders sucked. They were worried about chilling with their friends than actually helping the customers. My friend and I only chose this place because who doesn't love the idea of a "secret bar" they don't have a menu which isn't really a problem but they also don't know the prices of their drinks until they ring it up. I watched a girl get upset because her tab of 2 drinks was $50. Probably won't go back. The actual conscience store dude was cool tho

Isai C.

Yelp
Cool concept, but wayyyyyyy too expensive. The bar itself is cool and looks nice but the price of the drinks definitely negates the rest. Only other turn off was the employees basically rearranging the furniture when we were chilling and making us move. It's nice to visit one time but I wouldn't go back again.

Sean H.

Yelp
Patrick and Greg are the best bartenders I've ever had drinks made by. Don't know who else could make better drinks than these guys.

Brandi V.

Yelp
If you want to pay $120 for 8 drinks this is your place. For the $120 charge you will be ignored by the bar staff, double charged for your order, as a bonus you will need to buss your own table at least 3 times, depending on your party size, and be directed to a gatoraid cooler of room temp water as the bitch boy behind the bar will not give you cold water, he will be waaaay too busy hating you for patronizing his place of work to accommodate your request. For real if Donald Trump were in town and asked me where to go I wouldn't recommend this spot. F minus. Also I paid 20 bucks to get into this shit hole. Seriously? I have your bodega right here.

Masood W.

Yelp
Very interesting bar. It seems to be a hidden gem. I had a really great experience with a friend here. The entrance is kinda weird though but it's not good or bad.

Shin C.

Yelp
I was celebrating my friend's 21st birthday and the bouncer didn't let me in since he thought I was wearing sweatpants even though I was wearing regular pants. I highly would not recommend coming to this place.

Jerry R.

Yelp
The caucasian male bartender is the most rudest bartender ever!!! This is one of the bars i first go to, so being drunk writing this isn't even an options for people to think about. He has no patience what so ever and talks to you like a crazy person. He doesn't seem happy to be there and therefore shouldn't take orders. He yells at people to get out of the way for no reason if they are close to his side of the bar, close. it even at the bar itself. As well when taking orders looks at you again as you are crazy and he doesn't know what he's doing.

Yelp R.

Yelp
I have been here a lot, this club is owned by a super cool group of guys, they are actively doing a remodel right now and expanding the club so after 2022 they will have twice the room and jams! im excited to see what they do!

Jeremy W.

Yelp
5 Stars for the Bar and their staff. Great People. 0 stars for the store. Avoid the store and the guy with the beard who sits on his phone talking to his mom all day then has the same story why he's out of the same items for 2 weeks. Even better, this guy claims to be the manager. Must be the owners son. I quit going. The liquor store a block over told me they'd keep me stocked.

Justin O.

Yelp
Imagine walking into a regular convenient store, and after making a purchase, your cashier circles a pin code. You look to your left and see a large metal door with a keypad next to the handle. You punch this particular code in, and at your surprise... you walk into a room where music is bumping, people are dancing, and everyone at the bar is having a hell of a time. That's Bodega. AWESOME place, especially for Saturday nights and special events.

Gabriel W.

Yelp
The greeters and person making you buy something to get into the club were rude and made us buy something, when people get let in all the time without buying anything. And nobody was there when we got there either... not worth it! Thanks.

Claire H.

Yelp
Bodega is the worst bar on 7th, no contest. There is an undeniable lack of people at all times and nights (no one else likes it i guess), drinks are overpriced and notably mediocre, no real appeal at all. You can't wear jerseys there, because apparently Bodega is very elite and distinguished despite being shittier than every other bar in the vicinity. Anyways, total waste of time and money so I wouldn't recommend. Go somewhere with good drinks or good music or good people - none of which is available at Bodega. Real shithole. Should've made a better first impression since they're new to 7th. It's fun that you have to find a pass code and all that jazz to get in, but when it comes down to it they're elitist and have major sticks up their ass - no fun. If you want the most generic and uninspiring night of your life, head to Bodega.

Aimee T.

Yelp
The front of the bar looks exactly as the name states- a bodega. You can follow their Instagram account and read their clues each week to unlock the code to get in. For instance, during the HP pub crawl the clue was about the year the first HP book was published. Drink prices are average, but they do have this slushee drink called tigers blood and it's delicious! Also have a food truck on the weekends available to purchase food from.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Hands down the best bar in Fort Worth. Fantastic staff and Dj's. The party atmosphere was 10/10! This bar has the coolest entrance in DFW, pool table, shuffle board and an outside lounge area too.

Daniel R.

Yelp
Awesome place. The bartenders are super chill. Just enter through the convenience store.

Shanna S.

Yelp
One of my favorite new spots on 7th! Karaoke on Mondays, tiki night featuring tiki inspired drinks and decor on Tuesday and Wednesdays, live DJ Friday and Saturday, AND an amazing tex-mex BBQ trick out back! I would recommend Bodega as a girls night out or for big parties. They have a good-sized dance floor and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors... Jameson lovers rejoice! I won't give anything away, but this is THE place if you love Jameson. Highly recommend!!

Daniela S.

Yelp
This place is a lot fun!! Obviously the speak easy entrance makes it exciting but beyond that it's a good time usually! They have a dance floor with a DJ so you can dance all you want! They also have an outdoor area with a food truck. Good for groups!

Madie S.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere with great drinks! Don't forget to know the code and get some snackies on your way in!

Mike F.

Yelp
Great bar! Friendly staff which you don't always get in West 7th. Becoming a staple of mine and my friends!

Evan B.

Yelp
Cool concept and great staff! Glad I'm seeing someone try a unique concept out here. I'll be back for sure

Drew K.

Yelp
Very fun concept. Large big screen projector with plenty of seating. Table service if you're into that kind of thing. Food truck with games in the back. Bartenders were on point, very attentive and quick. Definitely would like to check this place out when it's not so crowded.
