"Harvest at Bodega Norton Possibly one of the most recognized malbec wine labels by the American market, Bodega Norton is one of Mendoza’s most prolific wineries. Founded in 1895 by the Englishmen Edmund James Palmer Norton, the winery has grown significantly under its Austrian management since 1989. Each year, Bodega Norton continues to garner serious accolades for its wines and talented winemakers. During the harvest season, Bodega Norton offers a variety of experiences for wine lovers to get their hands dirty in the vineyard. You can harvest the grapes, picking them off the vine and tasting the flavors of the different grape clusters. You can also choose to be a winemaker for the day, creating your own "blend" of wine, combining varietals and discovering their aromas, textures and complexity. Both experiences require 24-hour advance reservation. Ruta 15, km 23.5, Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza ; +54 261 490 9700"

This is a superb historic winery that’s been around since the late 1800s, and you feel that legacy the moment you walk in. The property is beautiful, the setting under the Andes is unreal, and the tour was run by a guide who actually knew what he was talking about. The wines weren’t exactly our taste, but the overall experience made the visit absolutely worth it. Would still recommend it for anyone visiting Mendoza.

Norton is a Legacy that is felt in every step along the journey of this bodega experience. Luxury, Legacy, and Tradition best describes this bodega. A well known brand… each wine tasted was full of flavor. Definitely an enjoyable experience! Worth a visit.

Gorgeous setting on the porch overlooking the vineyards. We had the 4 course lunch. Service from Paloma was exceptional. My husband ordered the beef and it was the best steak I've tasted in the entire country of Argentina. Cooked to perfection (jugoso) and extremely tender. I had almost given up on getting a really good piece of beef in this country. My pasta was wonderful as well. And of course the wines were delicious. Paloma was a delightful server. She spoke excellent English but was gracious to help us practice our Spanish. This was one of the highlights of our time in Mendoza.

We had an absolutely amazing tour here today (November 27/2025). We went out into the vineyard on bikes and ended with an indepth tasting in the cellar. Fernanado was so informative and was the consummate host. Without a doubt, one of the best tours we have ever had. Loved the history, the wine process, and all done with an amazing and knowledgeable host.

If you are looking to learn about wine production and winery operations, this is the Bodega for you. Compared to neighboring bodegas that emphasize food and tastings, the tour of Norton was historic, included great context, and allowed the opportunity to see production facilities up close, which is not offered at all vineyards. Our guide Camila was knowledgable, friendly, and an excellent host. The tasting was limited to three wines, but reasonable for the price point.

Fun, friendly, great wine, interesting history. We reserved the bike tour, but they canceled because of the muddy conditions. They quickly offered a regular tasting tour for the same time slot which was really nice.

Yelp
I spent 3 days in Mendoza and visited 11 different vineyards. This one stands out among the top 3. Just when I thought the grounds were going to be the most impressive aspect of the winery, the tour started and the cave blew my mind. Norton is one of the oldest families in the region and the facilities reflect it. The tour and the guide were top notch. Unlike a lot of tastings where you sit in a tasting room, this guide provided us tastings in different parts of the cave along the tour. I was never a huge fan of this label prior to visiting the vineyard, but I've since had a change of heart. $280 pesos/person for the tasting.

Yelp
Norton vineyard was exceptional. The grounds are GORGEOUS!!!!! We went with a group and had the opportunity to mix grapes and create our own wine. So much fun. Such an amazing experience.

Yelp
Beautiful winery. I thought at first it might be more of a Disneyland type winery a la Napa, but was pleasantly surprised to find that, while very well run, it was very charming and they take their wine very seriously. The grounds are gorgeous, and you will go on an hour long tour where you get to see every step of the winemaking process as well as taste it, which was very interesting. You try several iterations of their Malbec (delicious, obviously) as well as dessert wine at the end. The tour and tasting alone was 60 pesos. You can stay afterward for lunch, which we did and were glad we did so. With 4 empanadas, it was 120, and with a full on charcuterie plate and another bottle of Malbec, 180. I split the charcuterie and empanadas with my friend and it was more than enough food. The ambiance is gorgeous and lunch is a fantastic deal. Definitely come check this winery out. While it's different from the mom and pop wineries that populate much of Mendoza, it's very much worth a stop. Five stars!

Yelp
I spent two days visiting wineries in Mendoza and this was definitely my favorite stop! Being one of the largest exporters of wine in latin america you definitely get the star treatment. They have simulatenous tours running in Spanish and English. You can bike through the huge area and are instantly greeted with a great glass of wine. They ask you to keep your glass throughout the tour as you get to try different types of wine, and wine at different stages of the fermentation process. Our guide was amazing, friendly and open to answering any questions. Perks of going to a big winery? They arent stingy with their samples. We asked for seconds and thirds and were happily served. There are gorgeous sights of the Cordillera that decorate the backdrop of pictures of the vineyards. Free wifi if you ask for voucher! **Only thing I'd ask to improve: I had lunch with my group and the vegetarian option was basically only cheese. It was delicious but having a plateful of cheese for lunch was a little much for us vegetarians in the group.
