My wife has been telling me about Bodhi Kosher Thai for years -- that they are the most authentic Thai food in the kosher world. On a recent trip to LA, I finally got to experience what she was talking about and was not let down. They were not especially busy when we arrived, around 1PM on a Thursday. Owner was courteous and gave us an appropriate amount of time to peruse the menu. After some deliberation (my wife knew what she wanted, but I took longer), we ordered the Fresh Roll, Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Curry Noodle, Damage Beef and Thai Iced Tea. The Fresh roll rice paper was delightful and the Pad Thai was serviceable. The Curry was authentic and the Thai Iced Tea had an unusual flavor due to the spices that I recommend for the culinary experience. However, the two big stars were definitely the Tom Yum soup, for its amazingly explosive and hearty flavor, and, unexpectedly, the Damage Beef. I ordered this for the name alone, not expecting anything special, but we were taken completely by surprise. The Damage Beef was extremely addictive and couldn't stop eating it over all the other dishes. The entire trip may have been worth it just to discover how delicious the Thai interpretation of Beef Jerky could be. LA is not hurting for kosher options, but we definitely look forward to our next visit, at least to get a few more orders of Damage Beef.

This restaurant offers vegetarian Thai food. There is no meat or chicken in this place. We got chicken nuggets and beef damage for appetizers and Teryakki and steak foe enteere and they were all delicious and yummy. Will definitely try it again. Also the coconut juice was really good.

Google
The restaurant itself is cute but the food isn’t good at all. I had to return my plate because the soy chicken had a styrofoam texture and the lady said I couldn’t return. That once you order the plate that you have to pay for it, whether you like it or hate it I guess. The beef was also disgusting, burnt and styrofoam texture and tasted nothing like meat.

Very Disappointing Experience We had a good experience the first time we visited — the food tasted great and we were looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, today’s visit was a complete letdown. The food was nowhere near the same quality — bland and poorly made — and we ended up paying a high price for a very unsatisfying meal. What made it worse was the owner’s attitude. She was extremely rude and unwelcoming, completely dismissing our concerns. Instead of listening, she kept talking over us and insisting she was right. It was clear she had no interest in customer feedback. Sadly, after this experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone. The way we were treated was unacceptable.

Google
This was the best meal of my life!! I got spicy noodles, crispy roles, and damage beef. The waitresses were so sweet and the whole place was just so awesome! Will come again ❤️❤️

Gem in the world of kosher, must visit if you are not local, no kosher Thai on east coast… yet

Google
This restaurant used to be great! The food is still good. Prices have gotten out of hand and the portions have shrunk. My entree included 5 tiny pieces of chicken, and all spinach. There was no service and it took 30 minutes to get our food, which came one after another over 10 minutes. Like what am I even eating out for. I'm done eating here.

Google
Excellent thai food! Every dish was delicious as was their iced Thai tea. We had a great meal and shared the orange chicken, ginger chicken and the paradise beef. We also had a vegetable soup and a tom kha soup. Both were excellent!

Yelp
Had a very weird experience here...I ordered pad see ew and they brought me pad thai instead. When I told the server about the mistake she insisted that I ordered the pad thai and made it difficult to exchange. When she finally agreed to take it back they basically just brought me back the same dish and added some broccoli to it (it did not have the pad see ew noodles or sauce). Needless to say, I won't be returning. The food was okay and the ambiance is nice, just beware of the rude service and it is a bit overpriced.

Yelp
Came here for take-out. This Thai restaurant is kosher and vegetarian. The food is very good. It's in a mini-mall so parking is very easy. The menu is large and has pictures of each dish which is very helpful. I have to come back here and try more things. It was hard to pick what to get. Everything looked so good. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share. We got sweet potato fries, dumplings, potato samosas, spring rolls, golden tofu, and chicken nuggets. Everything was delicious. The sweet potato fries were really good (not your typical Thai food but I still suggest ordering them). I also really loved the chicken nuggets and the dumplings. It's very fun to share a bunch of appetizers. Of note, is that the golden tofu is a much bigger sized appetizer than the others. For our main course we got the pad thai noodle, pineapple curry, and panang curry. I asked for my vegetables to be well-done and they delivered. Cooked to perfection. You can never go wrong with pad thai. We added vegan chicken. I enjoyed it very much. Of the three things we ordered that's the one I would order again and again. The pineapple curry was good but the sauce was thin. I prefer a thicker curry sauce so I will get something different next time. The panang curry was also good but we got it with brown rice and next time we will order the white rice instead because it's tastier that way. A couple things stood out here. One is that they got the order perfectly which is not always the case with to-go orders and something I really appreciate. Another was that the packaging of the to-go order was done really well so that everything stayed at a good temperature and did not spill out on the way home. Service was also very kind and helpful. The ambiance of this place is cute. It's a small place but spacious at the same time. It's surrouded by windows which makes it feel bigger. Great for date night or meeting up with your friends. I would suggest eating here rather than doing take-out since it's a nice place to eat and the food is excellent. Very clean and pleasant. I had to get home on this particular day. Otherwise I would definitely have stayed.

Yelp
This is my favorite kosher restaurant in LA . Authentic Thai food . The service is quick and the food is delicious really recommend

Yelp
Was excited to eat here as the menu photos looked amazing. The food, however, was lacking in flavor and over priced. They also brought us the wrong dish. The atmosphere is nice and the servers were kind and friendly.

Yelp
I was so thrilled to finally get to try this place. It is certified kosher (which was an essential for my friend) and vegan, which is why I wanted to go here in the first place. There were so many things on the menu that I really wanted to try and on this trip, was only able to try 2 items. I'd love to be able to try their Tom kha soup, curry, and mango sticky rice on a different trip. It's extremely expensive in my opinion for Thai food, especially when you're just getting vegetables and tofu but sheesh it was delicious. We tried the pumpkin, eggplant, tofu stirfry with steamed tofu ($23 or $24) and the pad Thai with fried tofu ($20). Both were great and my favorite part was the eggplant in the stirfry! So tender and perfect! The waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and I can't wait to try again.

Yelp
The employees cooked promptly, the customer service was exceptional, and the restaurant was clean and presentable! Deserving of 5 Stars!

Yelp
Food is decent, friendly services and convenient location. But be prepared to pay $23 for a plate of fried rice. We paid $47 for one appetizer, fried rice and 2 cups of tap water. Too expensive for lunch/casual dining :/

Sara L.

Yelp
we love this place ! It's always delicious and we dine in and order some for take out . Delivery seems to be rather slow even in the neighborhood so I suggest picking up your take out order to save frustration ... but I am still giving it 5 stars because the food and service has been consistently great ! Our usual orders : Pad See Ew, Bodhi Bites, Damage Beef - so good!!!
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
Great service they were very welcoming. I enjoyed the food very flavorful and delicious! It's a casual dining spot good for lunch, clean and modern environment. I had a great experience would def go back!
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Food tastes very good but.... They are still using a ton of msg in the food :( I can tell I've very sensitive to it and got very ill after having lunch with my friend. I know not everyone has intolerances like mine but everyone should know, also nowadays why add in? Prices are not cheap, I expect it from a lower end spot. Parking is easy. Really wish they would clean up the ingredients and I would be back
google avatar

Yamit Y.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with the food here. I heard good things about this restaurant, but unfortunately, I won't be recommending this place to anyone. The food was 2/10. Refrain from tasting fresh and flavorful like it's supposed to. I've been to many (non-kosher) Thai cuisines, and there are better options if you eat at non-kosher restaurants. The service was okay, and the ambiance was nice, but the restaurant seemed cleaner. Easy free parking.
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
Consistently delicious food. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The servers know the menu well and are able to answer questions.

Jenna L.

Yelp
Came back for takeout a second time, and still really did not disappoint (though man inflation has hit prices hard, $55 for 3 items) What we got: pineapple fried rice, spicy noodles, and eggplant pumpkin lover - our favorite dish consistently is the eggplant pumpkin lover! - pineapple fried rice was the second choice and spicy noodles was just OK The blend of flavors is just superb, and what they use as meat substitutes is so flavorful- especially their "chicken" and how they deep fry the tofu! We got takeout again, but the restaurant itself looked like a casually cute, intimate vibe. Around 4 tables around 9pm on a Tuesday, so pretty good crowd! 100% would come back- so far our favorite is pumpkin eggplant lover and curry noodles!

Foodie G.

Yelp
not great. for a vegan place, you'd think there'd be an abundance of fresh herbs, especially in something like a spring roll (which they call a fresh roll on their menu), but there was not a single herb to be found in any of the dishes we ordered. perhaps this is because it's kosher, and cleaning and checking herbs is a pain, but come on... very seriously lacking in flavor. not terrible, but not particularly good either. I love Thai food and was very excited to come to LA and get kosher Thai, but this was disappointing, especially for the price.
google avatar

Yelp
say no more, Kosher Thai Food! I know many people who keep Kosher and can only eat at kosher establishments. I am so happy this incredible Kosher Thai food exists!
google avatar

Jennifer U.

Yelp
Love this place Everything is great! I usually get the green curry and the crispy roll.
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
EXCELLENT FOOD! This was one of the best meals I had in quite some time. The green mango salad was surprisingly one of my favorites of the whole meal. Sticky rice was good, but not QUITE what I was expecting. It was a little less creamy than traditional sticky rice, but that's to be expected since it's vegan. I would eat here for sure. Chicken Satay was also reeeally good. Also the music is at a level you can actually TALK which is lovely. Service was excellent as well.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
Love the place here we always enjoy the food and environment and everything comes fast , thank you
google avatar

Uriel R.

Yelp
Really amazing food! A bit too pricey for a food without meat or fish, but they really make it taste great. We almost always order orange beef. Obviously not real beef.
google avatar

Manny S.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the proprietors have elected to use a hechsher that is far from universally accepted, leaving many observant Jews unable to eat here. There is no judgment whatsoever of anyone who chooses to eat here; just suggesting you ask your local Orthodox (or Conservative) rabbi first.
google avatar

Gema G.

Yelp
I love this spot, I am plant based and I've never had so many options. Everything is fresh to order and the quality of alternative meat substitutes is the best. They really have perfected the soy chicken and the beef. We got the soy orange chicken and were so surprised that they used real oranges for their glaze. It tasted very tangy and unquie. We also got the Kung Pow chicken and a side of beef chow main. All plant based of course. It was so good and not very greasy like typical Chinese food. The staff and service are very attentive and quick we did not wait long for our food. It's located on Olympic in Beverly Hills and parking is easy and free. Great lunch spot, portion sizes are big and prices are reasonable. I will always stop here after a busy day at work when I'm too lazy to cook but, craving something fresh and healthy.
google avatar

Shari P.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Tried the eggplant pumpkin, the chow main and the pumpkin curry. All was delicious.

Kenneth O.

Yelp
The food was nice, but everything felt like it was too sweet. We got a vegan fried rice with vegan chicken and vegan garlic tempeh, and both of them were sweeter than we expected. The service was good and the location is close enough to us that we might go back again, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice, especially at their inflated Beverly Hills pricing.
google avatar

Mindy S.

Yelp
Food is good but unfortunately they are a rip off. I got a small container of curry for my $20+ bucks when it used to be double the size container. When i complained and asked what happened they told me it was because I didn't order any extras. Note to anyone ordering - pay the $3.50 extra and get double the curry! Otherwise, it's just not worth it.

Yelp
Good food great service, diverse menu and consistent quality. One of our favorite restaurants.

Yelp
I finally managed to eat at Bodhi Kosher Thai but wasn't very impressed by it to be honest. Placed a takeout order of the Crispy Rolls and the Spicy Thai Basil and this is what I thought of their food. The $7.50 Crispy Rolls were nothing to write home about and were average at the most, imho. The Spicy Thai Basil was also quite disappointing, and I had such high expectations of this restaurant. While the dish is loaded with a ton of vegetables and proteins one of the item was missing the most was the basil. I also didn't like the burnt flavor of the burnt green and red bell pepper which made the whole dining experience even worse. Last, I wish the dish was spicier but it did have a little kick to it. Verdict: 5 stars for the ambience and friendly service and 2 stars for the food. Enjoy and Bon Appétit.

Yelp
Bodhi aways good, flavorful food delivered very quickly. This is a place we frequent.

Sara Z.

Yelp
This place deserves minus zero scores!! My daughter and I visited the place for the hope of some healthy Thai cuisine which we love and luckily there are some good ones in LA but this one was a disaster. Immediately after they brought our dishes I noticed the smell of strong rancid oil and upon having the first few bites I noticed the food was fried in cheap recycled oil!!! I have been cooking for 20+ years for my family and I know food quality and oil quality. I'm surprised how restaurants are using gutter oil that has already been cooked with longer than safety codes permit. Are they not getting inspected?! I paid for the bill and left the restaurant immediately and hungry. Those few bites were enough to make my daughter that has a sensitive digestive system sick for two day.
google avatar

Sunshine H.

Yelp
The coconut juice was pleasant - maybe not $8 worth, but it was cooling and refreshing. Comes out on a platter and everything, haha. The Tom Yum was great. The spices in the soup was comforting and prominent - I usually like my Tom Yum's spicier, but this had its own zingy kick I appreciated. Vegetables were tender. The small Tom Yum is definitely a go-to for me now. Also!! Very lovely staff. Attentive and kind.

Yelp
Service can be neglected sometimes overall food is excellent beautiful ambience, very clean and reasonably priced big portions
google avatar

Yelp
the cheesecake - avoid to be honest i'm just not entirely satisfied paying $61 for this curry and 2 slices of cheesecake. that's all i want to say. maybe being in the restaurant might be a different experience
google avatar

Yelp
Truly spectacular food!! Vegan dishes are insanely delicious here. Definitely worth a stop.
google avatar

Ben T.

Yelp
They're rude stay away.... Waitress was screaming on us and try to force us to accept food on our table we never ordered. Plus please keep in mind they are going to decide for you the amount (18%) they want you to tip.
google avatar

Yelp
Quickly growing to be my new favorite neighborhood spot. Stopped in a few nights ago for a quick dinner. Cute spot. They also serve wine so a plus. Ordered the steamed dumplings (would pass next time), the fresh roll (light and flavorful) and potato samosas (a must), dipping sauces were a great accompaniment (yay). Returned this evening and got the bohdi bites, papaya salad and the yellow curry. It was everything I could've wanted and more! I left a very happy girl. Took most of it to go, and I am very much looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I can only hope that I will dream about all the glorious flavors and textures I experienced tonight.

Yelp
This was not our first choice. In fact, it was not even on our radar. We were actually heading for another place at the plaza. There was not enough seating there for our party of five so we decided to give Bodhi Kosher Thai a try. So happy we did! The food we tried was delicious!! Personally, I really enjoyed the Pad Thai, Mango Salad, and the Sticky Rice with Mango! Ambiance was nice, and the service was excellent. Parking was a bit difficult and cramped. Otherwise no complaints. Everyone in our group left full and happy.
google avatar

Melanie B.

Yelp
Delicious, vegan, and kosher food with a super staff! Cool vibe to the restaurant as well.
google avatar

Zhra S.

Yelp
Lovely kosher restaurant, KRCC certified. The only thing I will recommend is for the Tom Yom soup to be less salty. Everything else was great, I will return again.
google avatar

Alice A.

Yelp
Mock meat heaven! If you love your fake meats, than you will love Bodhi Kosher Thai. To my pleasant surprise, most items on this menu are vegan! However, the Thai Tea comes with a "non-diary" creamer and the server was unable to confirm whether or not this was vegan (nor did she seem to really know what vegan meant). What you want to do here is order their special meat dishes. Especially the beef! The "Damage Beef" special is super sweet and super chewy- just like actual meat! Vegans and non-vegans alike would enjoy the food that is offered here. As they have array of fried rice and noodle dishes and a bunch of appetizers that are fun to share.
google avatar

Helen Y.

Yelp
I am a vegetarian and I have to tell you this is my favorite place !! They variety of food is absolutely amazing!! Salads, soy beef and soya chicken, different appetizers, Tom ka soup is so good!! Definitely try Thai iced tea!!! If you in LA make sure to stop and try this place!!!

Sophia M.

Yelp
the service is bad. the servers are not nice and do not want to be there. they charge you for even little things like to go boxes. the food is not good quality. and bathroom is dirty.

Carrie H.

Yelp
I am not Vegan and ordinarily find the food tasteless but this is definitely an exception. The food here is delicious... I go out of my way to pick up food from here. The restaurant itself is nothing but the food is really good. I always bring the spicy beef home for my roommate who is a true carnivore and he thinks it is meat. Definitely 5 stars
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
The food was delicious and they have large selection in their menu compare to other vegan restaurants the service was also great but i give them 4 stars because they put to much oil in the food. i'll definitely go back again but... hoping they'll be more careful on how much oil they put in the plate
google avatar

Allie H.

Yelp
Came back again when we were going to Cedars for my son. We moved away to the central coast but have been dreaming of this food since! The staff here are so warm and lovely! They remembered us from last time. We ate so much and took everything home it's just so good I wanted to keep eating but was too full. The food is so beautifully made here. And the vegetables are cooked perfectly , a little crunch and not soggy and soft. Just fresh and sooo delectable I will miss them until we come again next time
google avatar

Dan G.

Yelp
Wowza! Awesomeness and fresh! Helpful staff. Will definitely come again! And that eggplant was outrageous!

Ian N.

Yelp
We came here a party of 7 people for Father's Day lunch and the food was great the ambience was quiet and chill. The prices are also great. It's a healthy place with no meat and dairy which was delightful. I love that it's kosher. The location and parking are also great. The service staff is very nice and really cares. I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Alwin D.

Yelp
The staff is great and the food is great. It is a must place to go. I know you wont be disappointed.
google avatar

Cathy L.

Yelp
I am so sick and tired of paying these very inflated prices for nothing more than mediocre kosher food....actually tasteless and overcooked food. I have tried this place time and again and usually walk out disappointed -- tonight was the last straw; inedible
google avatar

Monqui C.

Yelp
At first glance, you would never expect that this place would be the best Thai you'll have. It's not only vegan, but also kosher. But, please expect this to be the best Thai food you'll EVER have. My sister has learned Thai and visited Thailand and will only go to this place to eat real Thai food. The Damage appetizer will literally change your life! Also, the orange chicken is very good. I am allergic to chicken, so to be able to have "chicken" as well as eat within my dietary restrictions was awesome. The mango salad had so much mango, that you will have several pieces in each bite. Then, the curries! Please, do yourself a favor and have BOTH the green and yellow curries!
