My only regret?! Not finding this place any sooner. What a GEM! I had read the previous reviews, and quite honestly I didn't experience ANYTHING Negative.
The service, presentation, and the food were perfect. I felt safe regarding COVID, all the staff had masks and they didn't sit people next to us.
Boga Latin is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, very easy to find. From the moment we walked in, Gaby our waitress was very warm and welcoming. We had a one year old with us, although she made a mess, not once did they give us a bad look. Quite contrary she helped us by making sure the plates were out of reach and checked on us constantly. There was a picture that they had posted on their Instagram that we were both unsure of what the name was, but she took the time to show the picture to the kitchen and they made it for us!
Now to the food... WOW! What an epic fusion! It's mostly Dominican and Japanese, with some random Mexican dishes like the carne asada. There's also some burgers and more "Americanized" dishes as well. We started out with the Mofonguitos of chicken, we asked for the garlic ahi sauce on the side, it was delicious. I definitely recommend pouring the sauce over the plantain cup. You must try the Fuji Fuji as an appetizer as well. Plantain with grilled chicken with a ton of sauce. For entrees We ordered the Sancocho, which was basically a chicken and plantain soup. Very good too, I'd recommend it as a hangover dish or if you want something on the lighter side, expect a pretty big bowl though. My favorite was "La dura" sushi. Excellent yellow sauce with different types of mixed seafood and a slice of plantain! They also have a great happy hour that starts at 3pm. I ordered a strawberry margarita that was on the sweeter side, but SO GOOD. Thursday- Sunday they have live music, starting around 9:30pm. Saturday nights it's mostly salsa!
Overall I would recommend this place and I'm already planning a time to come back.
