A real gem of a coffee shop with fantastic coffee, friendly service, cool decor, and tasty food!

Used to be the best coffee in Essen. Not sure what happened. Cinnamon scrolls were stale, boring and flavorless. The coffee shot was poorly pulled, overextracted, bitter and lacked not just latte art skills. Pretty sad story and what a decline. :(

Interesting interior design, very pleasant. Great tonic espresso! There were some cakes available, but I didn't try. Overall - great place for a coffee :-)

Had to wait 30 mins for an espresso which they clearly forgot about and after making an excuse for it (just be honest and apologize,) i was served a plain bitter brew. Top hipster vibes though.

I love coming here for coffee. The place has a cool and calm vibe. Sometimes it's tricky to find seats inside, but there are plenty outside. It would be awesome if they had decaf coffee for people who can't have too much caffeine.

Great cafe to hang on a week ends. Not too crowded and very relaxed atmosphere. You can also sit outside if the weather is nice. We ordered a chai latte and it was delicious but very sweet. Might ask to reduce the sweetness next time but nothing that spoils the experience.

Best coffee bar in Essen, absolutely recommended! Guys love their job and know how to do it. Top flat white and brewed coffee, and a few good cakes too (start with the cheesecake). They use beans primarily from Tim & Sebastian's roastery in Cologne (who are now producing "Bohnenkartell" branded blends as well), but also feature beans from a guest roastery every month --buy and try! Hipster ambiance inside, a few seats under the sun outside.
