Boichik Bagels Bradbury DTLA

First time having Boichik Bagels and I would say they were pretty average. I ordered an Everything bagel with Hatch cream cheese. The bagel was dense, and much like a store bought bagel. The cream cheese had no hint of Hatch green chilis, so either they put regular cream cheese of the Hatch had no flavor. My husband got the open faced sandwich with lox and chive cream cheese. He too thought the bagel was dense, and there were no chives in the cream cheese. He did say the salmon was fresh. I’m happy to have a bagel place in DTLA, but there are better bagels in the city.

There is nothing more disappointing than ordering a cinnamon raisin bagel covered with garlic and onion on the inside and out. I am BEGGING you to use a different knife to cut your other bagels and clear off the cutting block. I LOVE your bagels, I do, but my cinnamon raisin bagels often become inedible because of it 🙁 otherwise the staff is lovely!

Poppy seed bagel toasted with cream cheese was divine. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Washed it down with a cup of coffee. Friendly staff.

The bagel itself was decent, but the ratio of the filling felt off: way too much spread and not nearly enough salmon for the price. Oh, it was also messy to eat, since everything slipped out while I was trying to enjoy it. Pretty standard experience that left me a bit disappointed. Extremely loud music btw

It looked like they just opened today so I went to go try them out. I ended up getting a plain toasted bagel with plain cream cheese and egg salad with a coffee. It was my first time trying the combination of cream cheese and egg salad for the bagel sandwich and I really liked it! They complimented each other and the egg salad had a good taste too. The coffee was smooth and had a good taste to it. I'll definitely stop by again sometime!

Decent bagel but not much to really rave about. For a place that specializes solely in making bagels they sure make it feel like it’s the first time they’ve ever made one. Service was so slow and painful to watch.

Best bagel place in DTLA. Solid specials and classics - they never skimp on the cream cheese. Check out the historic Bradbury building while you're there.

Definitely a valiant effort! Ny bagels are a legendary stable and hard to replicate.

Pricey for what it is. Ordered a lox bagel... and it was close to 20 dollars... Pretty much for a bagel with salmon, cream cheese, tomato slice , capers... but yeah.. Aside from the price, it's quick and easy. Order at the counter and that's it They do cut it for you. There's a couple of chairs there but.. i would just take it to go. It's that type of vibe.

Really wanted this to be a regular. I've met the owner before and she's great, which makes this experience disappointing. Walked in one morning when the shop was empty. The person at the register stayed on her phone the entire time -- minimal eye contact, no engagement, no thank you. It felt indifferent, not welcoming. The bagel was good, but not good enough to overcome the service. With so many options in LA, this one won't make my rotation.

How the hell can you be a bagel place and NOT have plain cream cheese at 8:15am? The bagels here are mid at best. I only come here as it's the only bagel place close by. But at this rate, I would recommend going elsewhere if you have a craving for bagels.

Incredible bagels in LA? YES! Cute little shop and friendly staff. My only gripe was that someone who came in after me with the same sandwich order got hers first. Annoying but thankfully I was not in a rush.

9am & no cream regular cream cheese?? You would think that is a necessity at a bagel shop. Bagel is undercooked, small & disgustingly smothered in cream cheese. Asked for cream cheese on the side & when i told the girl at pickup she said it wasn't on the order. There's a million better places to eat around rather than wasting your money here.

Food is good depending on what you order. See pix. I do not recommend the bialy bagel for sandwiches. I do recommend The tuna sandwich; it was delicious. I also ordered an everything bagel with chive shmear & also good. Service was a bit slow as they were opening and possibly still training staff. It's a small place so it did get noisy as it got busier. For today's grand opening, they also had other vendors selling jewelry, desserts, etc... I ordered a jasmine oat milk boba from an onsite vendor, as boichick's coffee options are very limited.

We tried their bagels and coffee for the first time. It was good. Nothing special. They could add a little bit more cream cheese to the bagels. I thought they were a little shy with the schemer 4/5 rating only because of the cream cheese ratio. Overall, their bagel was good, but not as good as NY bagels. Coffee was okay. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. Everything thing is clean and new.

I was excited to see this new place walking by and went in! I got a cinnamon raisin bagel, as usual! I wanted lox but cream cheese too, so the employee suggested the lox and cc! Though the bagel was crispy it wasn't big enough. This is not a normal sized bagel. And I got a Cream Cheese no lox essentially! Because it was lox minced into the huge amount of cheese, where it wasn't even possible to taste any lox!!! Or a hint of lox. Bummed! But that's what you get for just under $8! Cute place though. Good welled trained service .

As a former NYer, I know whereof I speak. The bagel nova was great. The crusty bagel was real. The service was warm and helpful. Don't skip this place. It deserves a long life.

The only thing I can say about it is that the bagels are PHENOMENAL! But in a bagel shop what else matters?.? The service was quick and friendly. The place is clean, spacious and inviting. If there's any downside at all, it would be nice if you got a deal on a dozen bagels because they are a little spendy.

Bagels a lil chewy but honestly I ate mine down... and really enjoyed. I killed my order in my opinion. Everything pumpernickel with chive cream cheese, pastrami lox, roasted tomatoes (the way to go), red onion. BOMB. And the service was so so good I was having a grand time building my own bagel there.

Been wanting to try Boichik Bagels and it was great! Ordered "The Classic" bagel sandwich on an everything bagel - comes with chive cream cheese, nova lox, tomatoes, red onion, and capers. Really generous portion of cream cheese and lox, a big portion! Service was quick during lunchtime. This location has plenty of seating inside, is at the Bradbury building and next door to a Blue bottle coffee, and basically across the street from Grand Central Market.

I like this place.Three lovely solicitous staff.The place is well appointed and great menu So what to order at a place called "boichick".Salt bagel with lox spread.It was terrific..ill be back

A bit expensive and less than stellar service, but these bagels are the bomb. They stay super fresh in the freezer and toast up easily. I wish the strawberry cream cheese was available year round.

Seriously....they literally didn't even put anything on the bagel. Terrible service and bagels were a 1 out of 10.

Really good, freshly baked bagels with an excellent whitefish schmear. DTLA needed bagels, now we have them!!

In my mid 20s, I lived in NYC where I could grab a delicious bagel with cream cheese and a coffee at a corner food truck for $5. Those transactions took less than 5 minutes. I was excited to have a NY bagel place open up nearby, now that I live in DTLA. The food is ok. The service is SUPER SUPER SLOW. The staff had time to sing Beyoncé, but didn't care about serving customers. To be fair, I ordered an open lox sandwich, but I've made the same thing at home in 5 minutes. If I had known it would take forever I would have stood in line at Egg Slut across the street where at least it would have been worth the wait. I'll echo another reviewer. Hire an adult with actual experience who cares about customers, expediting orders and providing a positive experience.

The best bagels on the west coast! They truly taste like east coast bagels....do they import the "water?" I joke. But in all seriousness, this bagel is perfectly chewy, soft, flavorful, and delightful.

Got the egg salad bagel sandwich special and it was so flavorless and sad. The egg salad was quite dry and just tasted like mashed up egg; couldn't taste any mayo or mustard, nothing. It came with lettuce and raw red onion. I feel like if you guys used pickled red onion in your sandwiches, it would probably make your sandwiches more tastier (had the lox sandwich before which was also lacking). The only flavor came from the bagel that was thankfully seasoned. Would love to come back but I hope you guys can work on your sandwiches. Service has also been very slow in the past 4 visits I've made as well:/

I arrived under caffeinated and very hungry, by the time I left, that was fixed. Bagel was delicious and the lox was super. Would return for that alone. But the staff provided such kind and amazing service, it was very welcoming and appreciated. Also, seeing the care in which the capers were applied to my bagel was so impressive.

Today is the third time. From garlic to cinnamon raisin to eggything. Bagel is slightly smaller. I do love the kite hill (plain or chive). I still get my coffee next door, blue bottle. Hope this will last knowing wexler's deli left GCM. The sweet nice lady who made my bagel wasn't there today.

Bagels got smaller and smaller. Also bring back the strawberry cc spread. Need sweet flavors for bagel cc. PLEASE put WAY more cc if you're going to charge 2.50 for it and also make the bagels NORMAL sized. I'm so disappointed

as someone who grew up in ny and lives in downtown i was excited for this spot to open, especially with all the hype. i arrived and no one was inside on a tue morning around 9am. i got a everything w/ chive cc and a cinnamon raisin w reg cc both toasted. i opened my bag in the car and i was UNDERWHELMED AF!!! the bagels were so small im glad i got 2. you can see in one of my photos the size of the bagel compared to my hand.... the bagel itself was honestly kinda mid and the fact they cut the cinnamon raisin bagel and then cut my everything bagel, i tasted sweetness in my savory bagel and i didnt like that at all, maybe switch or clean the knife when cutting savory & sweet bagels. overall pretty disappointed a bagel spot finally opened in downtown but its mid...

Such a great addition to the neighborhood. We got a dozen of their bagels for a brunch we were hosting and you know how sometimes people are too polite and don't want to stuff their faces in front of everyone at the party? Well these all went!

This crew is so nice! The food is great. Best bagels in town. I come here a lot of mornings for my breakfast. Highly recommend.

Solid bagels. Cute shop. Nice employees. Dog friendly. It's really great to see this space in use after being vacant for so long. A bagel place is a nice addition to dtla too, as there are no other bagel places in the area.

I haven't even gotten my order yet and the whole experience has already been strange. I asked if they could make my bagel open-face, and the girl couldn't give me a reason why they couldn't -- just said "we don't do that" and moved on. While I was still deciding on a combo, she started talking to the person behind me. I was literally ready to order. The vibe felt off, and it's bizarre that a simple request like not wrapping my food was treated like such a big deal. She was "nice," but I definitely didn't feel welcomed or like she was trying to make the experience pleasant.

Delicious bagels,etc.. BUT they better get their act together soon! I think the KIDS working there are not interested, distracted, playing with Tiktok whatever BS they do, but totally not on the ball. There's only a few options on the menu, so the complexity is zero. Last week I said roasted tomatoes and they put a regular tomato, so they started over. This morning I said Capers and they put Daikon sprouts. Really???? Jesus, how hard is this? To the Owners: HIRE ACTUAL ADULTS!!!!! If you want to harken back to the days of old, deli's New York, then you're not understanding the key back in NYC was SERVICE, excellent, sharp, on the ball attention. Not some millenial who clearly would rather be somewhere else. If you want to stop the corporatization of the U.S., and bring back the family run deli, then get it together soon.

Ordered a tuna salad bagel and a cream cheese bagel. They skimped so hard on the tuna salad and cream cheese so hard it was laughable. Like a whisper of both. Come on guys...
