"For hot pot folks who are kind of lazy (or nervous about accidentally ruining the pork belly), Boiling Point is the place to go. At the chain’s relaxed International District location, the meats, fish, and vegetables come to the table precooked in woks and re-fired at the table to keep the broths simmering. Purists may pine for more customizations, but what the restaurant lacks in frills it makes up for in flavor. The subtle sweetness of the miso pot packed with sliced pork, prawns, mushrooms, and silky tofu makes for a nice complement to the more spice-heavy varieties. And while the dining room doesn’t have robo-waiters or tableside antics, it’s still fun for groups who love chatting over a chopstick-wielded treasure hunt." - Gabe Guarente

I ordered takeout on July 3rd. While I was eating, I noticed something big and black floating in my soup. I thought oh what a weird shrimp, but nope. There was a chopped cockroach in my food. I called immediately. They didn’t really do much about it besides say you want a refund or we make a new one for you, but we’re closing soon so decide now. It was 10:15PM when I called, they close at 11:00PM. This is disgusting.

Seriously, only giving 1 star for the food. The customer service is so rude! I went to the promo deal of going last month and getting “1 small hot pot” I went during lunch time the following month to use the voucher. My friend and I both had one. We went during lunch hours and got the 1 of each of the “small hot pot (beef and Korean).” During all lunch hours up till 3pm, you are to get a FREE drink (green tea) with any hot pot item. THATS REGULAR FOR ALL LUNCH HOURS AT BP IN SG!! We also had the same promo with the “1 FREE DRINK” so we got another drink at the end. They said we had to give back our drink at the end (non green tea. we got another because we also had a drink voucher). We were told that we had to use our “1 FREE DRINK” voucher for the FREE LUNCH GREEN TEA DRINK. DISCLAIMER: WHEN I WENT LAST MONTH TO GET MY PROMO VOUCHER, I had to also buy ADDITIONAL drink to qualify for this deal. Last month, I purchase 1 hot pot and 1 drink and since I went during lunch hours, they also gave me a green tea. In total, 2 drinks and 1 hot pot to get this voucher. So how come I had to use my free voucher on a (lunch free) green tea and rudely be talked by and HAVE MY (2nd) DRINK BE TAKEN AWAY (told I can keep it if I wanted to pay for it). I believe this was even the manager who did this because she had a different uniform. I asked if it says anything about no free lunch drink included in hot pot, she said yes. This is the voucher, and no where does it say that. Boiling point, take responsibility and accountability for your own promotion except trying to steal from your (loyal) customers.

Yikes 3 stars! To be fair, I'm giving 5 for the food, which is as good as any of their other locations, but 1 for the service! Though we were on the waiting list, it took us nearly 2 hours to be seated on a Sunday afternoon. This may be due to the incompetence of the staff, or maybe it's the growing pains of a new location. Their small parking lot is nothing to rave about either, but at least free street parking is mostly plentiful. When we first got on the list, we were told the wait was around 45 minutes. After waiting almost an hour, I went inside to check with staff to see if we were going to be seated soon. I was told we still had to wait. Another 30 to 40 minutes go by and I decided to check again, this time with a different worker. To my surprise, I was told we were supposed to be seated already. After some awkward scramble to get a table cleaned up, they finally sat us down. An apology would have been nice, but we never heard such words. Keep in mind, we were waiting right by the entrance during the entire wait, just to make sure we wouldn't miss being called. Tl;dr: good food, bad service, lackluster parking.

Google
Poor service! The meat is hard to say!! I said the food is not tasteful and asked them if they can add some more sauce, and a waitress said that's what they do. Don’t go!!! Shame on them!

Food is very good as usual. I just can't stand the atmosphere it's too noisy in there I can barely hear myself think. I can't hear the waiter when they talk to me either cause of how noisy it is. I love boiling point but I don't love it that much to sit in there anymore I'll probably just have to do take outs instead.

The new Boiling Point opened up at the old location that used to be A+ Tea House. I saw on BP's Instagram that they were doing a limited time offer of a mutton hot pot so I wanted to go there and try it. First of all, this place has a parking lot right next door, which is good. Street parking was not a problem either. It's a Saturday and there were a lot of people waiting outside already. I actually walked inside the restaurant to look for a waiting list but they directed me outside to a tablet that let you put in your phone number on the waiting list. Then you could sit on the benches outside and wait. In the winter, waiting outside for around 30 minutes is not enjoyable. (I actually got a cold after this visit which was not that pleasant.) Inside, there's actually a lot of space in the middle, and I didn't understand why they didn't add more tables. I guess they rearranged some tables for bigger parties. My friend and I both ordered the mutton hot pot, and we also ordered an appetizer called Holy Cow, which is a combination. I could not believe the value of this appetizer. For $8, there were just a few pieces of pig's ear and stewed beef. It's more like a small snack. I commented on this ridiculous portion size considering the price, and the server boy only apologized. Nothing much he could do. I couldn't believe this rip-off! Do not order this appetizer! The whole thing is smaller than the size of a lady's palm. The mutton hot pot itself was fine. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it's still fine. The soup base was very herbal. There are only a little bit of greens on top and lots of vermicelli at the bottom. I think the value of this is not as good compared to the other hot pots on the regular menu. I would rather get the regular items on the menu than this limited time offer. Overall, I would give this place a 2.5-star rating, but since I couldn't, I'll round it up to be nice, as I did like this place before. It's just that the value of their hot pots were eaten away by inflation and it's actually expensive to eat here now. And the appetizer size is definitely a rip off!

1. This place is too crowded and the table is extremely small. When you get the hot pot, drink, sauce plate, bowl on the table, you don’t have any room for your phone of glasses. 2. The staff is numb. They don’t bother to say hi or tell you the QR code to order is under the table. When I get in, I want to sign for table of 2. He just pointed outside without saying anything. I was thinking he wants me to wait outside. When I am outside, I saw a tiny LCD screen there which you can enter your phone number and get a ticket. They are just like don’t want to talk to anyone at all. They keep a numb face all the time front order to check. 3.the taste is just so-so. Not worth the price. Maybe the quality for Boiling Point goes down but this is possibly the worst one I ever ate. There’s a lot of cracked soy bean at the bottom of soup base. I am not sure if it comes from recycling. I almost got choke by that.

Google
Yummy food, but expect to be racially profiled here! I'm a fan of this chain in general, but this was my partner's and I's first time at this specific venue, the food was up to par, very delicious, BUT when it was time to pay the $44 check, my partner was going to pay with his debit card and the waiter asked to see his ID. We were the only Latinos in the restaurant and no one else had been asked for ID. My boyfriend pointed out it was a debit card, but the waiter insisted on seeing his ID. It made us very uncomfortable. We will not be back.

Yelp
Boiling Point is my go to whenever I'm craving for something hot and soupy. It was my first time dining at this BP location since they moved here. Their parking lot is pretty small. We were lucky and took the last spot available otherwise we would've had to do street parking. Wait time wasn't too bad considering we came on a Saturday night. We arrived around 5:40 pm and got seated around 6 pm. We ordered 3 bowls to split between 4 people. My go to is the beef bowl. I ordered it mild this time and it was pretty spicy. I think I'll stick with no spicy from now on. I feel like their mild differs every time. Sometimes it really is mild, other times it tastes like my tongue is on fire. We also upgraded the rice to the beef rice which I don't think was worth it.

Holy B's ..

Yelp
We've been coming here every other week and somehow haven't written a review until now. So here it goes. First off, the food is always bussin--seriously, it's never missed. We always hit up Boiling Point during lunch hours (open-3pm) because free drinks (green tea or black tea) are the real MVP. We both get the beef pot (mild). One of us is a scallion rice fan (10/10) and the other is all about the vermicelli (10/10). The vermicelli starts out dry,but don't worry--it's like a fun little science experiment because you cook it yourself in the pot. It's like DIY dinner! We are not ashamed to say we ALWAYS ask for more soup. Like, who doesn't want more of that liquid gold? 4 stars only because sometimes you feel a bit rushed to finish your food. Parking kind of sucks but there's street parking and the parking lot is small.

Albert C.

Yelp
honestly, boiling point is so real for this because if it's your birthday you get free hot soup and drink of your choice, for your birthday (must show id btw). for my birthday meal, i once again, i get my usual, the curry hotpot because it always does it for me. service: i feel like it got better from the last time ive been! & on a friday night around 8-9, i waited for about 20 minutes. ambiance: lively, and crowded lowkey, but enough room to eat freely.

Yelp
I love Boiling Point and I like having hot pot when the weather is cooler esp with the rain. But this evening, I've had the worst customer service by Kelvin and the 2 stars are for his service, not the restaurant itself. Usually, when I ask for my favorite sauce, the soy garlic, other people were nice about it because I'm dipping into it and eating it, not them and they give me the sauces I ask for. But NOT this evening!! He made me purchase my extra sauce of the soy garlic but he didn't put it in my bag (minus 1 star) and he had charged me extra for it (minus 1 star). And when we went home to open the bag, there were only 4 sauce packets (minus 1 star), and not the usual 6 packets (3 variety packets)!! My daughter was disappointed because she didn't get all the sauces she had wanted, too. Highly disappointed in him!! I won't be back for a long time!!

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Saturday night during dinner time and the wait was around an hour, which apparently isn't bad as I heard it can be even longer. We parked on a residential street near the restaurant, as the small parking lot next to BP was full. This BP used to be located in a larger location with more parking, but this is my first time at this new location. I do prefer the previous location more. I got the beef soup with rice with medium spice. It was nice, not too spicy but had a kick. The food quality at this BP is similar to most other BPs, so I was satisfied with my dish. Their sauces are always a hit with me, I feel like they really elevate the dish. I like coming to BP for a casual lunch/dinner spot, but I'm not sure if I would come back to this location given the limited parking and indoor seating. There's other BP locations around the area that is bigger and the food quality at all these locations are pretty much the same.

Yelp
Great hot pot. House special is bomb. That tomato is good. The sauce is yummy. Very good Taiwan I love it. Great location nice service great hot pot. Try everything it is good the best house special and Thai pot. Highly recommend.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Taiwanese style hotpot. The individually bubbling hot pot comes in a mini wok that's already cooked and pre-assembled, it's placed on a portable burner so it remains HOT! Nice presentation. You choose from the 10 variety of soup flavors on the menu from Taiwanese spicy to Korean Bean Paste to Thai Tomato. Pick your level of spice. I like medium hot with the option to add more spice - The Sauce dispenser can be found at each table. The Only downside: No substituting of ingredients allowed; but you can ADD extra ingredients (for additional charge). Complimentary iced teas are a nice gesture. Get here early for lunch or dinner service. This place always has a line and gets packed.

Yelp
I love boiling point so so so much! everytime I come I always order the milk cream curry and it always hits. if u r a fan of curry I highly reccomed. it comes with a good portion of meat, side of rice/noodles (I usually get rice), green breeds, fish balls, cabbage, noodles, potato slices and fish cakes! I'm usually picky about the meat but the quality of meat was pretty good. it wasn't too fatty, and was pretty tender! the vermicelli in the soup always hits too. after u finish eating they give u lime/passion fruit jelly and its sooo scrumptious!! I would usually rate this a 5 stars but I was missing a I BP fishcake and I feel like it didn't hit as hard this time still good tho $$$- a little bit pricey but very filling, can be shared with 2! - service (always coming around to refill broth, and is quick to serve u) seating, kinda crowded was like a 20 min wait

Yelp
Came into town in San Gabriel California visiting sister and came here having hot pot. It's very delicious and it has a lot of flavor. It's a good portion it come with rice or noodles. It has beef imitation crab, mushroom, clear noodles a little on the bottom, corn, tomatoes. Services was good as well not all of the waiter and waitress speaks good English. Just a plain restaurant no pictures on wall or no tv as well. It's so plain inside.Would come back.

Rachel L.

Yelp
i've been to several boiling point locations around the SGV, and this one by far has the shortest wait times (especially compared to arcadia). that being said, this location is rated 3 stars for a reason. a quick glance reveals a majority of the low ratings are related to service - i'm here to say that my experience falls under a similar theme. we were quick to be seated (on a saturday night close to christmas), but had to wait long to be served. perhaps it was because it was the end of the night, but we had to remind our waiters multiple times for water and more soup. other than that, the food was delicious and portions were generous! the restaurant inside is kept quite chilly due to the nature of eating hot pot, so be sure to bring a jacket if you run cold.

Mitchell L.

Yelp
Dined in on 09/21/24 for the boiling point anniversary. There was a long wait, but we came early to be one of the first ones seated. I ordered the #1 boiling point, House Special mild with rice. The soup was great, but my only complaint was the meat was bundled up and just a little bit cold. Maybe it was still frozen and wasn't thawed properly? Besides that everything was good! Service was quick. Not sure why this place is downvoted.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Food is pretty standard and comparable to the other BPs in the area. We got seated relatively quickly and the food came out pretty fast as well. My husband and I both got the beef and it was really good. The only bad thing is that I ordered the scallion gravy rice and waiter making it used HIS BARE HANDS to sprinkle on the green onion.... All the whilst touching everything and cleaning tables etc etc... I was horrified

Henry T.

Yelp
I came to boiling point for christmas lunch and came right when it opens. This is the pro tip because it fills up insanely fast and you'll be waiting for an hour. I was seated and they took my order right away which was great. I ordered the lamb mild. It came with napa, fish cake, clams, imitation crab, lamb. I ordered a rice with it and they gave us a free green tea. I remember it came with a fish cake with the BP logo but I think they forgot it this time. It was delicious and the broth was super rich. I really love how they have different sauces right at the table as well. It was a bit tough to wave waiters down for service and when we paid they asked to verify our ID which was a bit odd. Overall a great hot pot experience.

Yelp
I hit up Boiling Point SG three days in a row to get the 20th anniversary BOGO voucher deal (which is eligible for redemption starting 10/01/24!) Lamb 4.5/5 My fav so far! I like lamb in general and enjoy the pickled mustard greens inside the broth. Don't forget to eat the vermicelli before they start to overcook! Seafood and Tofu 4.5/5 Second fav. The seafood makes the broth very flavorful and the tofu was better than I thought. I do think that if you have the spice tolerance, you can make this broth more spicy (I got hot level) cuz this is a lighter pot so having the spiciness can bring more flavor. Thai Tomato Soup 2.5/5 This one didn't hit as well as the others. The ingredients were fine but I didn't enjoy this broth personally. I usually like tomatoes broths but this one has a flavor to it that I can't quite identify. The menu noted that this includes coconut milk which I couldn't taste or tell. It was a really busy weekend for boiling point as everyone was coming in for the deals. So understandable that service can feel a bit rushed and there were some mistaken orders. They also run out of rice one evening (NOT THE RICE!!) But overall, staff was very willing to set things right when possible which is much appreciated! Fyi the SG menu link WITH PRICE: https://www.bpgroupusa.com/menu/ARGAMPSG

Tiffany D.

Yelp
We went during the BOGO voucher, and it was so crowded. The wait took 3 whole hours to get in. I recommend going early to sign up on their waitlist tablet. Just a heads up, the problem with this place is that you don't get to know your place in line, and there is no waitlist link to check how many people are ahead of you. Food wise, the food was delicious. Big portions and the servers were attentive, regularly checking in to refill water/ soup. I would give both soups 7.5/10. It was loud in there per usual since it was super crowded. Tables are pretty small and close together.

Miranda C.

Yelp
Came here for the Boiling Point 20th anniversary event. We got here at 5:30pm and waited for about 75 minutes for a table. The team works super fast, taking our orders before we sat down so the hot pots were ready when we got seated. The waiters were also super attentive despite how busy it was. We are regulars at Boiling Point and the food tastes good per usual. We did have to order a drink as part of the deal to get the BOGO voucher. We don't normally order the drinks so it was my first time trying the iced milk with boba and it was wayyy too sweet. I would probably stick to the teas if you just get a drink.

Joyce L.

Yelp
I usually get the lamb hot pot with medium spicy. Love it with noodles. It never disappoints me because the food is fresh and mouth watering. It was very filling. Service has gotten a lot better and it is improving. Place has a second floor and it is great. It's crowded sometimes but the noise level is not too loud. Highly recommend this place and shall be back again.

Joana J.

Yelp
Food was good. Services was not good it slow, I had to stand 3 times to ask for items due to lack of checkup and they did bring requested items. There was plenty of staff just standing around.

Osula L.

Yelp
I came here via car for dinner on a Thursday in mid November 2024. They have a small party lot next door so that was easy and free. There was no line when we went. I ordered what I normally get at Boiling Point: beef mild with scallion rice. It was perfect as always. They use fluorescent lighting, which I didn't mind. I backed my leftovers to go and ordered extra soup. I forgot to ask for sauce packets though. I had to make my own sauce at home but it wasn't the same. I love Boiling Point because I love soup. No need to go out of your way to try it if your don't like soup.

Graciela C.

Yelp
Long wait time as this spot is pretty popular. The best time to be here is when they open at 11am. If you miss the first seating, then expect to wait for the next one around 12:30 or so. I always order the Lamb which is not gamey and much better tasting that their house special or beef. Trust me. They also do unlimited rice refills if you opt for that but in satisfied with the vermicelli instead. They also have the app where you can gather points but that takes some serious spending and the $10 voucher as reward has a short expiration date.

Alyson E.

Yelp
Came here with some friends on a weekday for lunch, and we waited for about an hour. So I could imagine that a weekend could have a longer wait. I did appreciate that they took our order before we went in and the food was ready by the time we sat down. However, the service was alright. We had to waive down the waiter whenever we needed something versus them checking up on us. They seemed understaffed. As far as the food, it always hits! We all ordered the Beef, and you get the option of rice or vermicelli noodles. You can also choose your spice level - it's pretty spicy so I'd recommend the mild. I love coming for lunch since it comes with complimentary green or black tea - both are great! Their sauces are the best and go well with the dish. Ever since they gone up on their prices, the portions have also increased. I'll always come back to Boiling Point but maybe not this location since it's quite small and the service is just okay.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
This is the second time I have Boiling Point and let me say that the second time was definitely better than the first. My boyfriend and I decided to go on Friday for dinner. We joined the waitlist and to our surprise waited no more than 15 minutes. We were then seated and told to scan the QR code for the menu. They asked for drinks and we responded that water was fine. This time around I ordered the Korean base soup (mild. The thing I love about Boiling Point is that my food is hot the whole time. You can also request more broth. I don't know if the serving was bigger than usual but I did take longer than usual to finish my food. Not that it's a complain lol. I asked for rice as a side but was bummed that they were all out of their beef bowl. I do have to try that. If you're looking to a nice place to hang out and eat good food. Go to Boiling Point. The highlight is their sauces. I did a mixture of the chili and soy sauce. Totally a hit combination.

Michelle W.

Yelp
I don't know how to feel right now. I ordered takeout and now I'm terrified to eat here now. I found a bug's head in my food. I know it's not part of the shrimp, because it has two eyes and antennas. I called and was offered a new one or a refund. It wasn't very accommodating. I already drove there and back home and ended up wasting gas. I found a cockroach in my food before too at a different location and they were more willing to work with me on it. But honestly, I don't think I can eat here anymore knowing that all the bits and pieces of this bug is in my food. It looks like the head of a bee or a moth's head. Always look at your food and eat at your own discretion. Edit: Upon further assessment, it's definitely a cockroach.

Karissa C.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday for dinner, waited around 15-20 minutes. Quality at this location has unfortunately decreased compared to other locations. I ordered #3, which came with a heaping amount of veggies and the broth was lacking flavors other than an overpowering amount of gochujang (?) Service was quick and attentive though. Not sure if I would come back, I don't think the food makes up for the price increase.

Let G.

Yelp
Updated reviews. Big fan of bp. The staffs here are great. Sadly, every time I see a gift card promo offer, my worst fear follows, and that is price increased. Bp adjusted the price so often, it messed up my routine, I don't speak for others. I don't think you would ever stop raising the prices, so at some point, I have to draw a line. Just know the food is great. And since bp raised the prices, as a consumer, I'll have to increase the standard. I still missed the flake, the new sauce replacement isn't working for me. I noticed that stinky tofu isn't that stinky anymore. Also the sense of green tea isn't as strong either. It doesn't happened often, I preferred the cabbage to not be overcooked. Cabbage is better crisp. Didn't like it that the cabbage gotten so soggy and you brought it out to me anyway. I did assume that you gave me someone wrong order. The condiments on the table gotten better. Need better drying, some time the container became a pool. I get the place get busy and you want to clear the table. My pot just came out less than 20 mins, you already printed out my tab and placed in front of me while I'm still eating. Check your quail egg, it has dark spot sometime. Your staff said it because it mixed with pig blood. I don't think so. And the mushroom, please don't give me the non fresh one, it already having dark spot. Pre package is not an excuse. Good job on the utensils, I haven't smell any soap sense on it. I love it when people couldn't find the iPad to log in their party. Because of that, I get my seating faster lol. Is the meat still double? I can't tell anymore since I never get the sense on how you distribute it. Be bold and state the weights, this could increase my trust. I hate to be deceived. Especially, I'm still concern about the raising price after gift card promo. Raising the price after promo did deterred me from buying gift card. Think about it. Let's say I would save 10%, bp raised the price, that saving would decrease to possible no saving. And not only I don't save, I don't have a choice but to paid the new price tag since my money is locked in. I felt cheated rather than benefiting from gift card. See you when inflation cool down! Sadly, people are saying gas price would go down, but food is almost never.

Yelp
Tast not as good as before, some location are very bad; not sure because change owner or chef.

Randy G.

Yelp
Boiling Point is always a safe bet to go to for a set hot pot for me. I've been coming to this location for years now and I guess I never really wrote a review! Anyhow....overall it's pretty good and normally consistent. Employees are always rushing around so the service is okay but I wouldn't put it high up there overall. Pretty standard restaurant overall as long as the food is good and consistent I'm happy coming back to give them my business.

Karen T.

Yelp
I had a pretty good experience here. Prices have increased quite a bit, but that goes for everywhere. For about $20 per pot now, it is still worth it. You get a lot of food, especially since they are providing double meat portions now. The beef hot pot has always been my favorite. It includes a lot of yummy ingredients like fish cake and tempura. You can choose the level of spiciness that you would like. The milk cream curry hot pot was just ok. It was not as creamy as I expected it to be and the napa cabbage seemed to make up the majority of the pot. I would not get this one again. As for service, I did not have any issues. The employees were quick to take our order and the food was served quickly as well. I did visit on a weekday so the restaurant was not super packed. Plenty of street parking is available.

Jocelyne A.

Yelp
Went here with a friend that really wanted to go. Small space so you will have to wait outside. Parking is limited. I don't eat pork so i couldn't really order their soup options. The one that I would have ordered didn't sound appetizing. The food looked good. I ordered their special rice with meat and some sort of spices on top. I wasn't satisfied.

Ren N.

Yelp
I'm so glad after the pandemic boiling point is back! First became exposed to this on a visit to socal years ago. Fell in love with the affordable concept of having your own hot pot with the things you like to eat in it. It was only $13 a pot and a side of rise. So much food I had to take it to go. Fast forward many many years later came back to socal and found multiple locations in and around the area, came to this place. Now each hot pot starts at $19 and up. We got a large pot to share. The sauces were great. Rice was fresh and chewy. The place is small, wait time can range from 15 min to an hour. Excellent customer service, will definitely come back again!

Patricia L.

Yelp
A friend ordered the Hot Beef dish for me. It was a big serving! The broth was non-spicy and there was an extra bowl of vermicelli on the side. This bowl had a lot of sliced beef, tofu, corn, Napa, seafood mushroom, pork meatball, tomato, fish cake (that has IBP on it), imitation crab, fried tofu skin, green onions and cilantro. It was overall delicious and filling, but the broth needed more flavor. I have been to the Gardena location many years ago and hope to try the SGV location soon!

Magda N.

Yelp
Not super happy with this new bp location. We called in to pickup order. We had to repeat our order multiple times. The lady on the phone repeated to check our order and it was like wrong 3x. And guess what, we got some stuff wrong anyway. Parking is a little tight. But that's expected even from the previous shop here. Food gave us diarrhea that day. Wasn't even spicy.

Yelp

Yelp
3.4 stars Original location was on Valley, then they moved to this location. This place is smaller and the parking is even more limited, so I think that will be a major pain point. The space is also smaller than the original location. Otherwise, food remains just as good when the weather is cold. My favorite has always been spicy beef with vermicelli. The portion is a good size for about $16-20. Service is ok.

Yelp
I came here on my birthday to claim my free hot pot and GOT IT! I came a little too late to take advantage of their free drink during lunch hours (ends at 3PM) but this is the best bday freebie out there! The wait at this location is pretty intense. We went on New Years Day and waited about 40 minutes. It's a pretty small venue so there were only so many seats already. I got the beef hot pot and really liked it. They give so much for each portion and it's packed with flavors and ingredients. This isn't the best hot pot I've had, especially in SGV, but it's still a solid spot and the birthday incentive in itself makes it all worth it.

Yelp
I went to the original location and saw a sign that they moved. It wasn't too far from the old location. At the new location parking lot is much smaller. It was full but I found parking on the street and walk over. The new location is smaller but brighter. There is a kiosk machine outside so be sure to get your table number. I kind of miss the old location. It has a vibe to it. Some may think this location is more convenient.

Yelp
Ambiance - 3/5 - Carries the usual industrial vibes from the other BP location. Nothing special. A nice clean place for hot pot. Service - 5/5 - They get the job done fast and efficient. Ask and you shall receive... Food - 5/5 - I always go for lunch to order the beef hot soup w/ free drink...good flavor but sadly the quality and portion size have seemingly gone down year after year while the prices keep going up... Overall, BP has been a favorite of mine since it first opened years ago and will continue to be for now. Enjoy!

Yelp
Disclaimer - I LOVE Boiling Point. I just don't love this one. I was very excited to hear about a new BP opening up in San Gabriel, and have actually dined at this location twice now. Unfortunately, both experiences did not live up to expectations. Service is not the best. For one, it's a little slow. It seems like they might be understaffed. I won't hold this against them since it's a new restaurant and I understand how challenging it can be to figure out internal operations. What I cannot turn a blind eye to is the lack of attention and forgetfulness of the staff. As for the food, I'm convinced that this location has opted for lower quality ingredients. The fish cakes were hard and flavorless. They were not golden yellow/orange fried fish cakes that you often get at other BP locations. The beef was soooooo chewy (and boiling it didn't make it any better).

Yelp
This is the first time I had Boiling Point since they moved to this location and it was an interesting experience. The parking lot is small but thank goodness I found street parking. The place is smaller than their old location, they have one floor here compared to two floors. The service is the usual, they order and they serve for you. They check up on you once in a while if you need more broth in your pot. Now the food, it taste like childhood, the portions seems bigger than what I got in highschool but I think it's cus the price has risen up so the portion scaled with it. Overall, pretty good but I would come again when it's less busy. We went for BP birthday BOGO and that was an hour and half wait.

Yelp
Boiling Point will forever be a favorite of mine. I was excited that they opened a location even closer to me than the original SG location. Unfortunately, this location is much smaller, so the wait time is even longer. On a Sunday at 2pm, we still had to wait over half an hour for a party of 4. There was always a constant crowd of people waiting for a table, so it stays busy. Luckily, we got seated before 3pm for the lunch price, which is cheaper and comes with a free tea. My go-to is usually the House Special or Beef Hot Pot ($16.23), but decided to get the Taiwanese Spicy ($20.81) this time since I was feeling extra hungry. This is one of their larger pots, which came with a lot of pork blood --my favorite! It only comes in the spiciest level too, but hits the perfect level when you add extra broth to it. Honestly, the best part about Boiling Point is their sauce. I'm obsessed with the spicy garlic bean paste, which is the best sauce to go with hot pot. I used to buy jars of these for home. Maybe since they are newly opened, service is kind of slow and lacking. But this is still one of my favorite spots, so I'll sure be back.

Yelp
I love Boiling Point! The soup is so delicious and comforting. I always order the beef soup in medium spicy with a side of rice. I've been to several other locations and they are all very consistent with the flavors and quality of their food. The only thing I don't like about the San Gabriel location is that their parking situation is bad. It's on a busy street and it's usually always full. Even their parking lot is super tiny.

Yelp
I love boiling point! This will be my #1 favorite hot pot place ever. I always come here during the lunch special because it's so worth it! But this is one of the smaller and newer locations so I feel like other Boiling Point locations taste better. Food/Drinks: I always go during their lunch special which is everyday from 11am - 3pm, even on weekends. You get a free black or green tea with your hot pot order and the price is really worth it. My go to order is the Beef Mild with rice. Now there's a new permanent deal where orders come with double meat portions and unlimited rice. A tip for the sauce is to do 3 or 4 scoops of the garlic bean paste and 2 scoops of the garlic soy sauce, it's perfect! I also really like their Honey Green Milk Tea boba, it's in par with the one at Sharetea for me. Ambiance: This location is pretty small compared to the other Boiling Point locations I've been to. Hot pot takes awhile to eat too so the wait can be up to an hour or so. I like to go right before the restaurant opens so I can be the first round of people to eat and don't wait too long. You can also go at the times between the lunch rush or dinner rush so its less crowded. Parking: Located in a little plaza. Gets crowded depending on the time that you go.

Yelp
Watch out what you put in your mouth. I didn't expect they also put in this dirtiest part of the mushroom in the pot as well. The soup tastes good tho........

Yelp
This new location has become my favorite of all the ones in the area. There is a private lot, albeit small, but I have yet to run into issues snagging a spot. The food is consistent with other locations so nothing new to add but what makes this place stand out is the service. It's being managed by younger staff and they have always been incredibly efficient, friendly (yes, I said it!), and patient. Regardless if there is no wait, please punch in your table request in their digital queue, it's right outside their doors.

Yelp
My friend and I were supposed to meet at the previous location. Luckily, she was redirected for a staff to go to this location for dine-in. The place is alot smaller with roughly 10 tables. The service here is somewhat okay. It is harder to get service attention here because of the tall barrier. So, you gotta try a bit hard just to grab a staff attention. Food: it's a bit inconsistent. We both order beef wihh noodle and green tea. I got the mild while my friend got medium. Her pot appears to have less amount compared to mine.

Yelp
This location is smaller than the previous location but the food is still great! I always get the beef, medium spicy, side of instant noods, add an egg & white rice Their sauces are very addicting, especially when you mix them all together & dip your meat in it I had to knock off a star because their service was very slow. I've come to this location several times & service hasn't gotten any better each time.

Yelp
Food is good especially during this cold time. Waiting time is a little bit longer because they will not let you sit until your group is complete. They took our orders right away. I got the beef soup non spicy. My only concern here is they should cut the meat into pieces because it's long and hard to eat. They have a small parking lot. You may have to park in the street. People are still waiting outside after we leave. They are refilling your soup and they asked us if we want to turn off the stove because it's already smoking in the table. Overall it's a good place to eat if you're craving for some hot pot.

Yelp
Boiling point is my go to soup place and this place is close to family so we always eat out here! Prices have gone up since we first started coming but the portions are still worth the price ! The restaraunt is clean and there is a wait for large parties. Unfortunately they don't allow waitlisting online so come early if you have a large party. The service is alright they don't check in as often as I would like especially for water and napkins and the flame. Overall I love coming here and will be back!

Yelp
The food is great. I was full. The food was a bot spicy because I chose mild spice. The waitress was nice. And they were helpful and cooperative. They would give us the beat recomendations for the meals. Like what should we add and what is good for the taste for the food. They serve us a big metal bowl with soup, noodles and other add ons with a small stovetop. We can ask for them to take the fire out... Or just blow it. It would take effort though to blow the fire out. The place is clean and has good decoration. But I would highly recommend this place. You should try this place. This is the best place if you want to eat actually fresh and quality food.
