"Even though Idaho grows and makes more than potatoes, people throughout the world associate the state with the ubiquitous tuber. Boise Fry Company’s motto, “burgers on the side,” says it all; the chain places the potato front and center. With a handful of locations in the Boise area, BFC serves fries made from four potato varietals, sweet potato, yam, and Brussels sprouts in cuts such as curly, homestyle, and shoestring. Burger options include beef, bison, mushroom, turkey, or vegan." - Scott Ki, Scott Wink

Traveling through and this place was a perfect quick stop for lunch. The food and the staff were great. I'm going to be thinking about the fries and the veggie burger for a long time! My boyfriend had the bison burger and loved it too.

Google
Liked the place and atmosphere that’s was it. I went to order asked for the BLT, and Truffle Parmesan fry’s. The lady asked if I wanted fountain drink and I said sure. She then asked what kind of fry’s I wanted and I said what ever goes best with the Truffle Parmesan. I went to go fill my cup from the fountain and it had a soda out of order H2O only. So paid for a soda that was not even available……. Then when I got my food I only had regular russet fry’s, not the Truffle Parmesan ones I asked for. And the BLT had one thin piece of lettuce…. Very disappointing sold item that was not available and my order messed up.

Google
If you love potatoes PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GO HERE. The fact that you can choose what potato you want is incredible. I had the Truffle Parmesan fries (using red potatoes) which were incredible. I was licking the tray clean. I love the fact they have multiple sauces and "salts" to put on them. The staff was friendly and extremely inviting. Can't wait to come back!

Google
Got the vegan burger, which was delicious, much better than most. The fries were a generous portion and appreciated that they were not salted. You can choose from a selection of salts if you want. Fun friendly vibes inside.

Google
GREAT fries and great selection of potatoes. The ketchup selections are WONDERFUL. Good prices. We enjoyed our meal and would eat here again on our next visit to Boise.

Google
Was visiting family and decided to grab a small lunch here before a planned AYCE dinner later that night. We decided to get a The Classic meal with regular russet fries and an additional side of curly gold fries. I was surprised they had zero hesitations with helping us split the burger into quarters for the 4 of us, no questions asked. Much to our surprise, they delivered our food on four separate trays, evenly dividing the burger and both types of fries we ordered. We got a kick out of the sauce and seasoning bar, and our food tasted amazing! My only regret is that we didn't get to eat here again for a full meal one more time before we left.

Google
Delicious, friendly, locally-owned eatery. I travel to Boise on business trips occasionally throughout the year. Boise Fry Company is always on my "must visit " list whenever I'm in town. Located in the heart of Boise, just a few blocks from the Capital. As the name implies, fries are very important and popular here. Depending on the season, you will select from numerous types of potatoes (blue, purple, red, etc.) Of course, the unique dipping sauces add even more fun and taste to your fry selection. The menu also includes burgers, sandwiches, Bison, ice cream and more. My favorite burger is the classic with cheese. The dinning room and facilities are clean. Very laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. Your order is freshly prepared. Dine in or carry out is available. Pricing is very reasonable. Boise Fry Company is a fun, delicious, casual restaurant for all ages. It's a great place to eat with groups, family or alone.

Google
We drive through Boise on vacation every year and we always stop here. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, the food is amazing, and the prices are more than reasonable. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
If you love potatoes (specifically French Fries), the Boise Fry Company is a "must visit" on your list! This is a casual counter service establishment, but do not let that fool you. The food and service are great! We just ordered fries here because we weren't really hungry, but really wanted to try this place out. Firstly, you start with your choice of potatoes and the style (home style vs regular). We ordered a large order between the 2 of us, but I think they gave us more than we anticipated. A small would have sufficed. There were sooooo many condiments for your fries to choose from. They had dry seasonings and dips for your fries.

Kristin J.

Yelp
Service- counter order. Walk in, walk up, place an order, wait to be called, retrieve order, eat. Very simple. Ambiance: dive in. Small fry shop. Limited bathrooms. Cleanliness- dive in clean. Not dirty or disgusting but not eat off the floor sparkling Food: fries are tasty but not mind blowing. They are definitely fresh and made to order. The sauces- I did not care for. This is a good snack stop if you're in the mood for fries. We did not try the Frychos and I would come back for those.

Alison C.

Yelp
Get your fries with a side of burger! This place knows what they're doing and how to market their product (the burgers are still regular size). I love the selection of potatoes (red, gold, russet, purple, sweet, yam). You get to season and sauce on your own so it makes trying their food fun and you can get a lot of different flavor combinations. Best of all, they use locally grown potatoes, so it's a must stop for anyone visiting the area. My favorite sauces were the blueberry ketchup, garlic aioli, and roasted jalapeno ranch. The bison burger I had was juicy and delicious as well. This is a solid place for a burger and fries. They had happy hour specials on certain days and times which made me want to come back again. Service was super friendly. They gave me a lot of good recommendations and even allowed me to mix up my fries when I was indecisive about which potato I wanted to try. The entrance was not very obvious to me, but later I realized it was a shared space with some other food stores. There are a lot of high tables and chairs which make it feel like a casual community space for people to easily come and go.

Sarah J.

Yelp
Super neat place! Kind of sad that I couldn't get the purple potato fries, summer isn't the season for purple potatoes. Either way, I ordered red potato fries with a bison burger. My other half also had the bison burger. Fries were delicious, dipping sauces were yummy, burger was good. I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Boise.

Jack T.

Yelp
Extremely cool restaurant here in Boise. Knew I had to try some Boise potatoes and they were fantastic. I came on a weekday about Tuesday during lunch and the cashiers were very friendly helpful and they played tame impala, the strokes or unknown mortal orchestra which I always appreciate. I ordered the classic I think? And I side of gold fries. The burger was meh just a bit dry since I didn't have cheese but the fries were amazing But the star of the show were the sauces! So great and so many options. My favorite was the fry sauce and I really enjoyed the blueberry ketchup . The other ones are just fine and kind of what you'd expect from a fry sauce but still I love options. 4.25/5 would def come back here

Jenny R.

Yelp
Attendants were nice and knowledgeable. The Bison burger was decent and loved all the choices of fries! The workers recommendations on on mixture choices were cool ! ( sad they didn't have sweet potato fries). Laid back ambiance

Andy M.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with this place. It is fast-casual format. Order your burger, choose the potato for your fries, pick a beer, and sample from a half dozen sauces. Service varies widely based on who is behind the counter. Usually, it's okay; sometimes, the interaction is weird: maybe the cashier is an alien in disguise, or perhaps they are in a fugue state, requiring you to repeat your order a fourth time.

Iwalani V.

Yelp
Recommended here by our hotel for a quick, local bite. BLUEBERRY KETCHUP. That is all. You must try the blueberry ketchup. Is it so so good. The garlic aioli & fry sauce is pretty good too. They have so many fry cuts, potatoes options, like however you want your fries I'm pretty sure they've got it. We got the fancy fries I can't remember the name of them but it is the duck fat truffle fries- must try. Burger was good too, I just had the original with bacon, avocado & chz. Minus one star because my fries came out super salty so if you're sensitive like me let them know ahead of time. My bfs were perfect.

Amanda W.

Yelp
Definitely need to give more bacon maple jam for the Brussels vs the small free size that comes with the fry dipping sauces. Loved the concept. Pretty decent fries overall - ordered the curly gold. Service was fairly fast and friendly. Very chill atmosphere, more fast food vibes.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I wanted something quick to satiate while I kept shopping and the frychos hit the spot! Service was cheery and helpful. Even the small is big! Music was a bit loud but I still enjoyed myself.

Rumany P.

Yelp
The fries here are delicious! The access to all the sauces and flavored salts is a huge draw. I'm not sure what the difference in flavor is, but we got the red potato fries (they looked standard colored). We weren't sure if they were the same because they looked different than the another person's red potato fries. The burger was good but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed the crispy parts of the brussel sprouts but contrary to other reviews, thought the maple jam was just okay.

Elaine C.

Yelp
The best part is all the sauces they have available for fries, including one that even has circlets in it! Plan to stick around and eat here so you can really enjoy all the sauce options. Staff is friendly and they are willing for me to get my fries split into more than one style or cooking (curly Vs thick cut Vs other styles). Large selection of different types of potatoes and cooking style. Definitely cool to try. Location: street parking and next to the capital building, parking needs to be paid. Same space as the Belgian waffle place for dessert. There are bathrooms available.

Sean W.

Yelp
Great Bison burger and amazing fries! Quality Bison and extremely good fries with the multiple sauces. Friendly staff and clean. Not too expensive.

Nycole R.

Yelp
Nothing says "I'm a tourist" like people getting excited when they see boxes upon boxes of a potatoes at the entrance of a restaurant in Idaho. Had you seen me walk in to the restaurant, you would have known immediately that I was such a tourist. No shame here. The Boise Fry Company specializes in making culinary delights out of spuds. There are a variety of fries you can order and even more sauces to dip them in. My wife had a cheeseburger and I had a vegan burger-both were pretty good. The fries were ok, but not spectacular. Perhaps what they lack in flavor they make up for in variety. Service was friendly and helpful. We were a couple minutes before happy hour and were advised if we waited just a bit, we could enjoy the BOGO fries happy hour special, which we did.

J G.

Yelp
food was good and there were a lot of sauce options for fries service was good too ambiance was clean and well lit

Dominique C.

Yelp
Came here and tried multiple fries and ketchup and was not disappointed the staff were friendly and good! We recommend

Alicia W.

Yelp
A friend of a friend recommended this place to me! I was told you can pick what style of fry you wanted and I thought that meant crinkle cut, waffle, curly, etc. It actually meant you choose what type of potato you want your fries made out of. I suppose I wouldn't expect anything else from a state known for potatoes! A small serving of fries is more than enough for 1 person. My husband and I each got a small order of fries, one made out of purple potatoes and the other out of gold potatoes. We also split a double original burger! They have a sauce and salt bar with alllll kinds of different options to really personalize your fry experience. Our favorite dipping sauces were the chipotle and the Jalapeño Ranch! For a place literally named after their fries, I thought they were just okay. If fries are in the name, they need to be 5 star fries. I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference between the gold and purple fries. But now I can say I've had purple fries! The burger was good but nothing too special either. I'm so glad we didn't each get a burger, it would've been way too much food; 1 burger and 2 small fries was perfect for a lunch for 2 people! Overall, the food was only slightly better than average. I'm still giving them 4 stars instead of 3 because I like the unique ways you can personalize your fries here and feel like you're getting the true Idaho potato experience!

Caleb C.

Yelp
Walked in with high expectations. They were not met. Burger and fries were both mid. Burger was dry and for a place focused on fries, you would expect the fries to taste good. DO NOT TRY THE BLUEBERRY KETCHUP. Ambiance was lowkey pretty good and it felt like a place I should eat good food but I didn't.

Chris B.

Yelp
I've been going to BFC since the original location was near the downtown St. Luke's, and I have always loved their burgers. I've never reviewed, even though the burgers are consistently amazing, the fries are delicious, and the sauces offer a lot of variety. The team at every location I have visited has always been friendly, and the locations are very relaxed with well spaced out tables. I'm adding a review today for one reason, to provide feedback to the owner that is 1-star feedback, for years of 5-star service. Hidden fees are bogus, and charging any amount for the simple fact of adding an instruction to the prep crew is unacceptable. A dime does not break the bank for the individual, but adding hidden charges without adding value is a reason I will not come back.

Sawyer D.

Yelp
This place can be summed up as mid. The fries are mid. Dont let the creative sauces and salts fool its all mid. The burger was kinda dry and once again mid. The best part about this place was the fountain drink selection.

Sammy C.

Yelp
It's a simple concept with tons of options. Pick a type of burger and topping combo, then pick the type and cut of potato you want for your side of fries. I tried their funguy burger classic style, which was a blended beef and mushroom patty with spring mix, tomato, red onion gastrique, and garlic aioli. The burger was delicious but it wasn't even the best part. After you get your food, head over to their seasoning/sauce bar where they have a over 20 unique sauces and seasonings to eat with your fries! Some notable ones I loved were the blueberry ketchup and the Boise fry sauce. Most of their potatoes are locally sourced which definitely adds to the appeal! Obviously we all know Idaho is known for their potatoes, so this is a must try when you visit!

Isaiah G.

Yelp
We went to Boise on vacation and this seemed like a must try. We parked a block away in a parking structure. We came in the menu is right on top. The person at the register was extremely helpful. We order two small fries and two burgers. The person who ranged us up said they did not have a freezer since everything is fresh. The price was reasonable it was about $32 for two fries two burgers and one drink. There was also plenty of sauces about 10. The food was delicious definitely a must try if you're in Boise.

Rebecca G.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times our order was messed up. The staff was a bit surly this second visit too which was really disappointing. The first time we came we were passing through Boise on a road trip. I love fries, so I really wanted to visit here. I love the wide variety of sauces and salts to pair with the fries. You can also choose your type of potato from purple to russet and the style of cut like regular or homestyle. After you get your order, you can hit up the condiment bar for an assortment of dips and seasonings. They even had two salts that had crickets in them. The first time we came I upgraded my order to truffle fries as I love truffle anything, but unfortunately, they forgot or messed up because I didn't get truffle fries. The manager was nice about it though and gave me a coupon for free fries for next time which I used at their Portland, OR location (which has now closed). We just went yesterday and I ordered the original burger bunless upgraded with cheese, avocado, and bacon, The Heat burger, and one small fries. Unfortunately the option for fries was limited that day. They didn't have shoestring, curly or other options, just regular on most, and only a couple were offered homestyle. It was very quiet for a Friday evening at about 7pm. There was almost no one inside, so after we ordered, we took a seat to wait but it was taking ages. We saw people that arrived after us get their food, so we went up to ask and they said our order was up a long time ago (yea, we've been waiting ages...) They said someone took our order. This seems really weird since my burger was bunless and served in a bowl and there was almost else no one inside. I really don't get how that was possible; plus we were sitting right inside. We could hear all the orders come up and I never heard Rebecca announced. The staff was really surly about it and said they would have to make our order again, and there wasn't anything they could do about it when someone takes our order. Um, ok...a bit rude of a reply. There weren't any apologies about it even though we ended up waiting like 40 minutes for our food with a fussy, hungry toddler waiting. At least an apology would have been nice. I asked if they could at least send out the fries first so we can have our toddler, who was now crying, start eating (figuring the burgers would take longer) but the staff was really rude about it. I asked politely and I didn't think this was an unreasonable ask. Eventually, our food did come up, and everything was fine, but we were very over it since we had an upset toddler. I appreciated my bunless burger was served in a bowl with a lot of lettuce and a generous portion of toppings. It was filling. My husband says his burger this time and last were ok, but weren't very good. Their fries seemed fine, but they served us homestyle ones even though we ordered regular cut for our son. I didn't bother to tell them though since we had already been waiting ages and my son needed to eat already. Overall, this place needs work, but mostly with its staff. I know things can go wrong, and that's fine, but there is an appropriate way to handle it, and that's not the experience we got yesterday at all. I wanted to love this place! I absolutely love fries and most importantly dips! However, now I'll just remember the poor service and surly attitudes.

Jon L.

Yelp
So it was suggested to me by friends to check out Boise Fry Company after I told them I had never been before. I asked them what to try out and they told me I could try literally anything and I'd be satisfied. So, I had just an order of fries. Price was right and they came out hot and fresh. It was the right amount of salty and went down well with a cold soda. I will be back to order something different from their extensive menu!

Maddie G.

Yelp
I was hungover so that probably already didn't set me up for success but the food is very mid. I got the BLT, quinoa salad, gold fries, and russet fries. First, the BLT was ok but needed more. The bacon was almost hard, but the garlic aioli sauce was really good. Second, the quinoa salad came with no dressing so we had to go to the sauce bar and add our own. Lastly, the fries. I am picky on fries so don't fully trust me but these ones had the skin on which i'm not a fan of. The suace and salt bar was fun because you can come up with all these combos, but i found myself wanting a simple ketchup and ranch. Overall, will not go again but I am very glad I tried it!

Shirley F.

Yelp
On my flight to Boise, my seat neighbor recommended the Boise Fry Company. So the moment we landed we were DETERMINED to make a stop here. I was surprised by the variety of different potato/ yams they offer as fries. They also have a huge selection of dipping sauces and powders (including cricket flavor) to dip the fries in. Had the purple, gold, and russet (Idaho) fries and our favorite is the GOLD. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all stop by and grab a burger and fries!

Lauren N.

Yelp
Our first food stop on our road-trip through Idaho was at Boise Fry Company, because we wanted to see what the potatoes were all about. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best start. We were disappointed that they were out of purple potatoes, which seems to happen all the time from reading other Yelp reviews. They were also out of the truffle salt, which were the 2 things we wanted. We ended up ordering the russet fries, "bourgeois" style and the red fries, shoestring cut. Both were really greasy, limp, and soggy. I couldn't tell much difference that the russet fries were fried in duck fat. I liked the variety of dipping sauces they had. The ones that stood out were the garlic aoli and the blueberry ketchup. Everything else was alright. I doubt I'll be in Boise again anytime soon, but next time, I'll probably pass!

Amy D.

Yelp
4 stars overall, but 5 stars for their fries, which are a MUST ORDER at Boise Fry Company. I loved the variety of sauces, seasonings, potatoes they use for fries, and style of fries. Their burger menu is pretty simple, they have 3 different styles of burgers (Original, Classic, Heat) with a few options for proteins (beef, bison, funguy/mushroom, turkey, vegan). You then have the option to customize with cheese and other toppings. Fries options include: russet, gold, red, yam, sweet, purple; options for cut of fries: regular, homestyle, curly, shoestring, po'ball (available cuts change daily at the different locations). They had 9 different dipping sauces available that day (ketchup, spicy ketchup, Boise fry sauce, BBQ, garlic aioli, pumpkin aioli, roasted jalapeno ranch, chipotle, blueberry ketchup). They also had a variety of dry seasonings, but I decided not to use any for my fries and didn't pay as much attention to these. There was no line at 6:45pm on a Sunday, and it was about a 10 minute wait for my order. They were out of sweet potato fries at the time, but I believe they were making more. I ended up trying: -The Classic (Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Housemade Pickles, Special Sauce, $7.30 + $3 Double Burger + $0.95 Cheddar + $1.50 Bacon + Gold Potato Fries/Kids Size, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BU9diYKx1eqY3tR6FFfQ6Q&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): This ended up being a giant burger with the double patty, and I liked the Classic burger more than The Heat version. However, I believe they smash their burger patties and cook them until well done, and they weren't as juicy as I'd prefer. On the other hand, the gold potato fries were DELICIOUS, and perfect. I loved how perfectly crispy they were, and super fresh tasting- a must order! -The Heat (Lettuce, Blueberry Compote, Habaneros, Spicy Ketchup, $7.30 + $0.95 Pepperjack + Purple Potato Fries/Kids Size, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LfqABmpwWOhKf5K5TZREPQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): The burger was just ok; I liked that the habaneros added some heat, but I should've definitely added the "turn up the heat" for an additional $0.50. The burger patty was too well done for my preference, and I didn't like the style of bun they used (it was a little dry). Also, the blueberry compote made the burger really messy to eat. However, the purple potato fries were delicious, and I could've just eaten a giant bowl of these for my meal and have been happy. The fries were perfectly fried, and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. These were definitely starchier than the gold potatoes, but still really good- recommended! Pro-tip if you want to try a variety of different fries- order a kids size, since two kids size fries equals a small size. I tried a small amount of almost all the different dipping sauces, and my favorites were their roasted jalapeno ranch and chipotle. The pumpkin aioli was really unique and tasted like pumpkin, but had a thick consistency. The blueberry ketchup and garlic aioli were solid, but the Boise fry sauce was a little too acidic for my preference. Their staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back for more fries if back in the area, and would want to check out the bourgeouis fries, as well as the yam fries and po'balls style. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Parking in this area wasn't too difficult to find, and they had street parking spots.

J L.

Yelp
$5 kids burgers and its 2 inches in diameter. Didn't receive the fries I ordered, staff denied I ordered them. Maybe because she was so confused on how to count change. Teach these kids how to count change and not be so reliant upon computers. It's not that hard.

Winnie L.

Yelp
Pro-tip: At the end of the day, they are just potatoes, so don't feel like you need to try every type. Highlights: The concept is interesting and there's definitely lots of sauce options which is fun to sample. The burgers actually looked pretty good and I wonder if we should have ordered that instead of the fries. Lowlights: I thought this place was severely overhyped. The fries were pretty burnt, not crispy, and nothing special. I wanted to try the purple yam fries, but I guess they've been out for months now at all locations in Boise so that wasn't even a saving point. Not sure I would return.

Michael J.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, I totally like potatoes and especially the fried kind. So when I heard of "Boise Fry Company" it caught my attention. I chose the Bison burger and did the regular style minus the onions. Then I added Gold thick fries and a drink. The fries were hand cut and the burger looked amazing. When it was ready they called out my name and then I went and had to choose from over a dozen different types of catchup and fry sauces. There were many different salts to add on my fries as well. The burger was great and the fries lived up to my expectations. Next time I'm in Boise I will be back! I loved it!

Jenny H.

Yelp
Kids burgers (aka sliders) had to add on lettuce and cheese. Bun was a bit too bready. Got red potato fries regular was alright; definitely add their salts/seasonings. As a sauce girl, this selection was heavenly. The spicy ketchup was chef's kiss. Blueberry ketchup was basically bland jam but interesting concept. Some more "exotic" potatoes were out of stock (yam, sweet, purple). Soda machine was broken, but not bad of a spot. Workers were all really nice! Lots of seating (high & low, outdoor & indoor)

Heath W.

Yelp
Visited BFC for lunch while working in the area. Cool restaurant, had the BLT, it was good...on the smaller side, but flavorful. Got the Golden standard cut french fries, they were really good. The sauce variety was pretty cool. Service was kind of fast food style, but the staff were friendly and informative. Only negative was the cleanliness...just needed some sweeping and a little TLC.

Barbara K.

Yelp
Yummy Classic Burger with mayo instead of special sauce. The only thing missing was more veg aka tomato and lettuce. I usually order extra but they were so busy on a Saturday night that I didn't dare. There were about 35 youngsters ordering food so it took me about 25 minutes to get my delicious burger and duck fat russet fries! I'm coming back to Boise to go here again!! Bathroom was seriously dirty however.

Mo L.

Yelp
Love that fries are the star here, as they rightfully should be! The layout of the sauces and salts could be better -- there were containers stacked on top of each other which slowed down the whole process creating a line longer than the one at the register.

Brian F.

Yelp
Boise Fry Company is connected to Press & Pony as they're owned by the same people. When I left Press & Pony I was told to leave out a side door rather than the front door or the elevator and I ended up right at the line to order here. I ordered the BFC original ($6.95) and the purple fries ($3.65). The burger is a bit smaller than I expected and I guess that's fine as the price is cheaper than your typical burger, but regardless the star of the show here are the fries. They give them in silver bowls because they're fresh out of the fryer and tossed with some seasonings. There are different types of potatoes/fries to choose from, from your typical russet and gold to interesting ones like purple. Because I wanted to go weird I aimed for ones I normally wouldn't be able to order at most other places and ordered the purple fries. They're different from your normal salty fries and are more earthy. There is a sauce station that has different sauces that you can pick and choose as your dipping accompaniment for your fries. If you can't choose which sauces to pair you can always try all of them. It's a cool experience to try different potatoes in the state where the license plates read "Famous Potatoes".

Yelp
Boise Fry Co. is a classic Boise establishment and one of the first spots I ever ate at when I first moved to Idaho in 2014. I try to take anyone that's visiting the area here because what's more Idaho than a spot that specializes in french fries?! It's what the people want! Their thing is "fries with a side burger". When you get a large fry here, it is indeed LARGE and in charge. The really cool thing about the fries here is all the options. Choice of potatoes range from the classic russet, yam, sweet, purple, and gold. My favorite is their seasonal Okinawan potato. You can also choose from different cuts like shoestring, homestyle, curly, or Po'ball. And don't forget to season your fries and grab some awesome sauces too! I'm a big fan of their rosemary salt and garlic aioli. The blueberry ketchup and Boise Fry sauce is a must-try as well! It may be a "burgers on the side" spot, but the burgers are still very good. I usually get the bison burger but they also offer a vegetarian burger that I've gotten a few times when dining with my vegan friends. There's plenty of open seating here with large tables to accommodate big groups. You order at the counter, and then wait for your name to be called. There can be a bit of a wait during certain times, but you can order online to avoid that! They do have the option to drop your fries when you get there- so your fries are hot and fresh when you get them. Insider pro tip: Boise Fry Co. and Press and Pony are connected through a back door. Do with that information what you will but, nothing beats enjoying a burger and fries with a craft cocktail.

Yelp
Apparently, stopping here if you're new to the area is a MUST. So that I did. I got the purple potato fries and my friend got the gold potato fries. I liked the purple fries because of the texture. Service was quick, customer service was good. There is a small section where you can add more seasoning (vanilla, salt and vinegar, and way way more) and/or grab sauces (ketchup, blueberry ketchup, fry sauce and at least 10+ more). Not much to complain about or rave about, either way!

Yelp
Glad we made it out here for lunch the other week! Bison burger was very flavorful and the fries were fun. They had a couple of different potatoes to chose from and a ton of different sauces and salts to add on after. We each ordered different ones and shared and sampled the different sauces. Loved the fry sauce the best. Food came quickly and prices were great too!

Yelp
First time in Boise. Really good friend recommended this place. I ordered a Bison Burger with "the heat" toppings and it was amazed at how it was. Great burger. Can get crowded at times but definitely a good atmosphere.

Yelp
Nothing special. Yam fries were cold and dried out. Regular fries were greasy. Burgers were just ok.

Yelp
Sooo update. I love that this place has amazing fries and gluten free sensitivity for customers. I'm just not sold on the flavors... The pickles are gross and way off. Why are we trying to reinvent the wheel? Make incredible dill pickles without red wine vinegar. And the onions are soaked in something weird like red wine vinegar. It's gross and off. The sauces are ok. I'm not really sold on the blueberry. Special sauce isn't that great. I really wish the pickles could be super dill pickles done traditional and delicious... but I do love the fries. I just can't justify how much you're charging for burgers when the toppings are kinda icky and not fermented traditionally and delicious. Bummer. Cuz I end up just going home to add the fixings...Love that stil ice cream is sold here.

Yelp
This place is great! I love the variety of not only fries, but condiments and toppings. The blueberry ketchup was great, and my burger was also delicious

Yelp
I've had their fries here while at press and pony and enjoyed them so we came back for burgers and fries. Our burgers were delicious. I had the classic and it was so fresh! Felt like it was a good price for a burger. I totally enjoyed it but the bathrooms are a little messy! They have some of the best fry sauce I've had.

Yelp
Great fries. Not worth waiting an hour like I did. Got the incorrect order when they finally arrived.

Yelp
The concept is super cool, I love picking out your own fries and seasoning them yourselves! I'm not the best at seasoning fries tho so mine ended up being plain, but good. They had great service. The burger and grilled cheese were just plain tho, but still very good, would eat here again! Love eating outside.

Yelp
Multiple locations - not all are open and that is not reflected well online. Came in on a Monday afternoon for lunch. Wasn't busy but a few people had just ordered in front of us so it took a little bit for our food to be ready. We each got a burger and then split a small fry. Lots of different dipping sauces & salt options for the fries. They have different potatoes and cuts to choose from for your fries. Thought that was cool. The two people working were super friendly and helpful. I think the burgers are a little on the small side and could use some flavor/seasoning. Also there is no mayonnaise. I'm someone who likes Mayo on their burger.

Yelp
Can't beat their fries or burgers. Various ketchups and potato varieties make it a unique experience. Nothing like this exists for fries in Los Angeles. I've made it a point to go back every time I'm in Boise. Service is always good and the crowd is usually friendly and laid back. Love the vibes here. 5/5

Yelp
Boise Fry Company was recommended to us by someone who used to live in the area. The vegan burger option is flavorful and very well done with vegan cheese that actually melts. The portions are great and the food presents well. Staff nice, but not really informed and as we were not from the area had lots of questions about which fries to order. The individual behind the register was really no help at all, but someone from the kitchen came out and talked with us. He was very helpful. Fries were good and very fresh; a little too oily. Facility was out of purple and sweet potato. The sauces were good and labeled vegan or vegetarian. Tried the fry sauce that so many have raved about, it was just ok. Not sure what's in it. The Garlic aeoli sauce was our favorite. Not sure I'd go back, but happy to have tried the fries while in Idaho.
