Fried Chicken Chain Bojangles’ Adds Pimento Cheese to the Menu For a Limited Time - Eater Carolinas

"North Carolina-based chain and Southern hangover helper Bojangles’ brought pimento cheese to the menu today. Now fans of the Cajun Filet Biscuit can add the mayo-based delight to cool down the spice or add it to anything on the menu. According to Bojangles’ representative, 'The spicy spread is the perfect complement to Bojangles’ beloved classics. Made with three types of cheese, diced pimentos, creamy mayonnaise and that one-of-a-kind Bojangles’ flavor, the company has put its own unique twist on a quintessential Southern classic that’s growing in popularity across the country.' Most Southerners will tell you that cheddar is the only type of cheese for pimento cheese, so it will be interesting to see if the Bojangles’ gets a thumbs up." - Erin Perkins

The workers were really nice, and the manager was very understanding when I called to let them know my order was missing a piece of chicken. I had ordered three but only received two. They handled it kindly and professionally—great customer service!

Never go here on a Sunday. I come here all the time and Sunday always has the most rude and negligent employees working. I went inside to order at 12:30 today and they were serving dry old chicken, my drink order was wrong, and they packed a thigh with my white meat order. Even when I got home the to go box was ripped and it opened, spilling most of my fries. It's pretty good regularly but I will never come back on a sunday.

This place needs to have a customer service gathering. I had one guy yesterday get an attitude with me because I wanted the 2 meals on separate cards. No thank you, nothing. Giving me a nasty look, all because I had 2 orders. Then, I go back today, told I wanted the bird dog meal. He asked twice what I wanted and then asked me with a "huh?" I was shocked that someone would be on the drive thru, especially with an attitude like that. And finally, I had no napkins, the bird dog needed to taking to the dog pound and the fries was stale! I won't go to that one anymore.

The worst experience and horrible employees. I go to this bojangles all the time, and I’ve never had an issue ever at this location. Tonight when I pulled up to order, the lady had placed the wrong drink order on the menu and I corrected her just to be sure, and just responded yup pull-up. As I pulled up I gave her my card, she swiped it and I had looked down to grab my wallet, about a 5 second interaction and she goes “MAAM” super loudly and shoves my card in my face. I told her I just needed a minute to put my stuff away, wasn’t sure what her problem was but at this point… I’m highly irritated. As I am waiting they are all standing in front of the window giggling and peeking over at me, and then the girl who took my order looked at me with this face of “CAN I HELP YOU” staring at me from the window. to which I asked her that.. and she goes “she’s making your sand-which” with a bunch of attitude and then they all collectively blocked the window and that made me feel uneasy considering they’re handling my food, and these people didn’t come off nice to begin with, it seemed to be the entire staff, they’re all giggling and peeking out at me and then she hands me my food and slams the window shut. I took time to look through my order and make sure everything was right so I didn’t have to go back and deal with them, as I’m putting all my stuff in order she opens the window and she goes “do you need something!?” And I asked her what the heck her problem was and I’m just putting my stuff away and checking my food and she responded with “well you’re holding up my line” (there was one car behind me) and that was the final straw. The shift leader said something along the same lines as her and they all seemed to come to the window with the escalation. Like entertainment for them; sounds like they need more work to do. If you have time to lean you have time to clean! Antagonizing customers is fun for them I guess? Needless to say, threw the food away and will be disputing the charge as I believe they messed with my food. My chicken was cold and undercooked and the mashed potatoes were water, like soup. Needles to say I’ll be putting in a complaint to the health department for investigation in this matter…

Google
Ordered late lunch (chicken filet biscuit). Food was fresh and good. Beverage (Pepsi) was flat so exchanged for unsweetened tea. Service associates can use refresher training on customer service skills. Rush you on taking order; shuts the drive thru window on you quickly perhaps so you will not ask for condiments or add items…don’t know???

Google
Disappointing. Chicken supremes and biscuits were good but got a large fry and it was half empty! No strays in the bag either. And they left out my BBQ sauce with the supreme snack. This photo is literally how full it was when I got it. Prices are out of control too - $22 for 2 Cajun biscuits, 4 supremes, and half empty large fry.

Google
The food was horrible quality. I asked for fresh food at the drive thru and even said I would be happy to wait and still got food that had been sitting. The fries were cold, the rice was dry, the wings were huge and slimy and the tenders were slimy as well. All in all the food was disgusting

Bacon egg and cheese biscuit was made three times because it was literally thrown together with the cheese not even on the biscuit. 5/9/2025 night crew needs to be let go asap! The manager was sweet and made my biscuit the THIRD time but the egg was undercooked, still hard bacon thats dry too( need to cook fresh food) My son wanted bojangles so I got him just that but this is unacceptable! I wish I took a photo of that mess I received. I just threw it away and would never recommend anyone to spend their hard earned money eating here. The fact it took three times and the biscuit was still sorry let's me know everything I need to know...this crew is sorry and doing sorry stuff to people food. The general manager needs to be alerted and clean up house!

Yelp
Been coming to this location since I was in high school -- never had an issue with my food, nor the 'speed' of the service I received. That said, you can go to any other of the 50-some-odd BoJos in the triangle and probably have the same experience I described above. All that to say this location should really consider doing something about the purple-haired-troll they have man the drive-thru window. I'm not sure what the good sis has got going on -- I could assume A LOT given the color & questionable texture decisions she's made in regard to her hair, but thats between her and Jesus. Aforementioned periwinkle troglodyte just loves to have THE stankest look on her face whilst she half-ass attempts to communicate with grunts, mumbles, and attitude that screams, "you're wasting my time -- kill yourself, today." I don't want this to read like I'm some boomer who feels they're entitled to award winning customer service and a wet towelette to wipe my ass with just for giving an establishment business. All I'm saying is if sis clearly doesn't want to work at the drive thru window, put her literally.. ANYWHERE else.

Yelp
It was pretty good ngl. I recommend it. I ate it while I was watching dhar mann and ouuu it was goodddd.

Larry N.

Yelp
This location has become an unwelcome place to enter indoors to order or eat. There is a heavy odor that is like melted and moldy cheese. As the staff has a dirty stained towel rag on the food counter and cashier stand. After smelling and seeing what we saw, we left and went to another location.

Yelp
No jangles is still one of my favorite places but the Cajun chicken sandwich has continued to get smaller and smaller. I just discovered Bo sauce in 2020 and absolutely loved it, and now it's discontinued???? I do love the new Bo Sandwich though

Zaid S.

Yelp
drive through person was rude. found a hair in the chicken. went back inside to speak to the manager and was even more rude and claimed we were lying.
google avatar

Cliff C.

Yelp
I like this location. They really seem to get the food right each time. They also cook the same each time. This in open for sit in and takeout. The drive thru is really tight. So if you have a bigger car, be careful.

Jeston L.

Yelp
Ordered a large meal and she did it separately rather then a combo, common sense isn't common.

Gerrit S.

Yelp
This BoJangles has always been on point! Great service and the food is always fresh. My boy from New Mexico always wants BoJangles when in town. Now we got him a few BoJangles tee shirts so he can represent the brand in Albuquerque!

Yelp
My friend raved about Bojangles so much that I thought she was a regular, but turns out she had only gone here once prior to us coming together this time. After eating here, I can definitely see why she loves Bojangles so much. We ordered their family meal split between 3 people. It comes with 8 pieces of chicken, 8 pieces of biscuit, two sides of our choice, and half a gallon of iced tea. It's odd to say but their iced tea is my favorite thing. It tastes like milk tea surprisingly and it was just so delicious. The dirty rice was awesome, although a bit too salty. The mac and cheese, chicken, and biscuits were standard but didn't blow me away. However, for around $24 after tax, this definitely filled us up and I am very happy about the portions for this place!

Yelp
Someone was having a bad day. Line wrapped around the building and there were two associates working the drive thru speaker. Confusing. And they were snippy. But at least my food was hot and fresh. I'm still disappointed Bojangles discontinued Patio Red Cherry soda. I've been drinking it for over 20 years.

Yelp
Staff was very rude. Window employee began to bark questions at me and raise her voice. I decided NOT to spend my money. Unacceptable!! I just moved to the area and will not be going back!
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
Great food but staff doesn't know how to pack orders. For example, on two different visits, I've ordered white meat only chicken and they have given me dark meat. On my last visit they gave me breast and legs.... Come on people, let's get it together!!
google avatar

Kay C.

Yelp
My food is fresh and hot, but the customer service is terrible! I usually go through the drive through after getting off a long night shift l. There's no greeting, thank you, or any words for that matter. The women are the rudest.
google avatar

Angie P.

Yelp
Everything about this Bojangles' is just "ok." Employees are rather rushed & not friendly. My first time here I got a chicken supremes snack. The chicken supremes were a bit overcooked, but the biscuit was good. The second time, I used my survey coupon for a free sausage biscuit with purchase & got a sweet tea. The biscuit tasted fine, but the sausage was dry. The tea was perfectly sweet. There's not much parking & the drive-thru is rather narrow, so beware.
google avatar

Sergio V.

Yelp
The woman at the drive thru was pretty rude, we all have bad days but let's remember that we all are human. Just smile more. And to clarify we didn't end up buying.

Terrence D.

Yelp
Went there at 8am to get a Cajun filet biscuit and they said they were out! Absolutely ridiculous!!

Yelp
I've been visiting Durham, NC from Portland, Oregon and I was told that I had to try Bojangles. My first time here at Bojangles completely surpassed my expectations! I mean, I heard it was good, but it was delicious! I can certainly see why people get addicted to this stuff. I think what made this the best experience was the staff. They were, by far, the most personable, professional and enthusiastic team members whose customer service gave me 110%. I would definitely go back for more!
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Anyone who has lived in NC for longer than a day probably knows what Bojangles is already - delicious fried chicken, biscuits and fries for a cheap buck. The fries taste more like home style than other fast food joints, and are not overly greasy. The biscuits are better than some of the biscuits I have had at some proper sit down dining restaurants. They forgot one bag of fries, when I mentioned I got a silent stare while waiting for it. Chick Fil A for sure has better service when comparing fast food places I don't like the entrance to the 'dining room' as they call it, you have to cross the drive through lane to get inside - almost got hit as cars speed through, not cool.

Yelp
I'm addicted to this franchise...doesn't matter which store but this one is close to where I stayed when I was here house hunting and it did not disappoint at all. I took my time with each breakfast biscuit everyday and each was a good combo in it's own right. Good food and decent people who serve it...I'll be back.

Yelp
Came here last night with a coworker of mine who is from India so I thought I show him some southern specialty. I got the usual fillet biscuit combo with fries and sweet tea (so sweet!) while he just got a fillet biscuit. Service was fast and friendly and the food is great as always. Near the end, I visited the men's room and I had to take the stall because the urinal was occupied. I locked the stall due to habit and once I was done, I couldn't unlock the stall door. There was something wrong with the lock. I honestly thought I was going to be stuck here until someone walks in. Eventually, I managed to wiggle that sucker open and broke out of the death trap. Bojangles, you gotta fix up your bathrooms!

Yelp
Stopped thur for a quick breakfast this morning, ordered something very simple. The guy who took my order at the drive through repeated everything back to me correctly. Long story short, the service was not pleasant at all... yes is early in the morning but your at work... be pleasant and smile and be joyous to have a job. The guy at the window was horrible. He didn't even thank me for coming, He didn't even say thank you after I gave him the money, he just grunted as if he had no vocal chords. I took the sandwich all the way back to work, sat down to enjoy it and low and behold, they have given me the wrong sandwich. One STAR for this Bojangles location as this team needs some training on world class customer service.

Yelp
Every time we drive by Bojangle's, the familiar song from SNL "Mr. Bojangle's is a really a girl, Mr. Bojangles is really a girl!". In addition to the playful jingle, the chicken here is magical - even by non-fast food standards. The breast and biscuit combo may be the best culinary invention since time started! We recently discovered the Botato Rounds - effectively circular hash browns with a little bit of Bojangles jive mixed in. A perfect addition to a chicken biscuit for that special trip Saturday AM! There is no Bojangle's in our curent home city, but due to the beauty in the biscuit, we visit every time we come back!

Yelp
Love me some bo rounds, I just can't get enough....... not your top of the meal place but overall for a quick breakfast.....
google avatar

Yelp
The little one (my sister) came back raving about this chicken. I'd been mocked by the billboards while traveling the East Coast highway, but nothing prepared me for the bitch slap Bojangles gives its first time diners. I was floored. Fried chicken is not something I get too excited about, but this place probably makes Colonel Sanders turn over in his grave. The chicken is like KFC times 20 in regards to flavor. Its super juiciness is probably at fault. The biscuits are awesome and will make you gain 20 pounds instantly. So yeah--it's not health food, but you only live once!

Yelp
This was my first time at Bojangle's! After hearing a lot of good things about this place, I finally got the chance to try it out. I ordered the dinner 2 pc combo, which was $5.50. It came with two pieces of chicken (one breast and one leg), one biscuit, one side, and one sweet tea. The chicken was very tender and juicy, and pretty much reminded me of KFC. Make sure to get some of their cajun hot sauce to put on your chicken. The biscuit was also really good with the honey. Also, they offer one choice of dipping sauce (honey mustard, ranch, etc) with each order, so make sure to ask for one of that. For the side, I had the cole slaw, which tastes extremely vinegar-y and sour. I pretty much tossed after my first taste. But my friends had the dirty rice and fries, and they liked it. Also, the cajun fries had a little kick to it which I liked. The sweet tea is what makes this place really special. If you order it separately, it's only $1. But, it's free with a dinner combo! It tastes delicious, and you can have as many refills as you would like. They also sell these by the quart, so if you absolutely love them you can take a tank of it home. I also tried a bit of my friend's blueberry biscuit, and I thought it was pretty delicious too. The cashier lady was pretty apathetic and unfriendly, but aside from that I had a good experience w/ the food here. Parking is a breeze, which is always nice. Great alternative to KFC for your fried chicken needs. David's VPP (Value per price): 9/10

Yelp
Two piece chicken meal - $5. Thigh and drumstick were both very succulent on the inside with a crispy battered outside. Couldn't believe that one hasn't opened up in the west coast - throw up some competition for KFC. Biscuit? Amazing. Delicious, buttery and salty biscuit paired with mashed potatoes and gravy is the perfect pair with my chicken.

Yelp
Brandon is seriously in love with this place! He thinks that the Chicken egg and cheese biscuit almost makes it a 4 star experience! For a fast food place it's amazing! Fast food scale 4 stars, restaurant scale 3 stars. We had to come here twice in the short time we were visiting NC this past week because I swear he had been going through withdrawals because we don't have one in Florida! This was my first and second time at a Bojangles and while Brandon just orders the same thing every time, i tried the chicken strips and a bo berry biscuit! They were both pretty tasty! I have to say that the biscuits are very yummy!!!

Sydney J.

Yelp
This Bojangles does it right! Juicy chicken strips and perfectly seasoned fries! Some Bojangles suck, but this one is perfect.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Despite a most embarrassing faux pas, the friendly and professional staff of Pittsboro handled my order with grace and courage. Every piece of my Four Piece Chicken Supreme dinner was zestier and more stimulating than the last. The French fries challenged my palate with subtle flavors that rival comparable restaurants. The biscuit was purely enlightening. I give my greatest compliments to the chef, and recommend this temple of professionalism to all foodies in the Pittsboro area.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Best fried chicken chain I've ever been to. In college, I fell in love with the food and sweet tea and since moving away, I long for a franchise to make it out to where I am in Texas. Whenever we're back in Durham, my wife and I just have to eat here. In fact, it's usually the first place I insist on stopping at after leaving the airport. Doesn't matter which location, they've all been consistently good. KFC, Popeye's, Church's - they don't come close to the greasy awesomeness that is the Jang!
google avatar

Joel J.

Yelp
crazy fried chicken establishment. supposedly there are some in the maryland region in largo and oxon hill. but anyway....if you're from the DC area, we all know that popeyes is the best fried chicken in town. here's how i compare bojangles to popeyes: (1) chicken - bojangles has only one type ... original. there is no spicy, but the original itself has a little kick (2) rice - bojangles has "dirty rice" which is similar to cajun rice, but with more meat and oily (3) biscuits - bojangles has larger biscuits with less butter, but more moisture (4) fries - bojangles uses a old-bay-like seasoning that's a winner (5) sweet tea - good sweet tea doesn't exist above the north carolina border. sweet tea at bojangles is GREAT and comes free with a purchase of any meal....their way of baking the price of the beverage into the cost. loaded with sugar...... im a fan of bojangles, but still love popeyes
google avatar

Jasmine B.

Yelp
I've been going to this Bojangles since I moved to the area in 2007. Never had any complaints and the people working are always so nice. One down side is that in the mornings and on Sundays it is usually packed, inside and out, but that's typical for any Bojangles really and they always have someone outside taking orders in the drive-thru to speed up the process.

Lara L.

Yelp
We love Bojangles food but this one has horrible customer service. The food service is slow. We ordered biscuits and Bo biscuits. It took them 10 minutes to get our food and when we finally got the food, we were missing half our order. We had to go back. When we explained it to them, they just stared at us with a scowl. The employees did not even apologize.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Crew members were so rude! Several of them seemed to have an attitude when taking and filling our order. Food was decent though.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Worst Bo's I've ever been to. The people were rude, didn't listen to my order and then got it wrong.
google avatar

Nurse T.

Yelp
Stopped in today and needed it fast. If course we didn't ask for speed...we just hoped for it and got our wish. On top of the speed it was very attentive and friendly service. We all need to start praising those who go beyond their job description with customers!!! Here's my start.

Jaime W.

Yelp
Delicious comfort food that's terrible for you. Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, individual fries and a Bo Berry biscuit is my typical order
