Watch: Why Is the South Obsessed with Bojangles’ Fried Chicken? | Eater

"Part of the national fried-chicken craze, this North Carolina–based chain operates across 12 states (including North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama) and attracts a fiercely loyal, vocal regional following from Virginia to Tennessee. Though largely unheard of in places like California and New York, fans insist you’re missing out, praising its fried chicken as true 'royalty' and 'a little piece of heaven'—one devotee even says they would choose it over any other fast-food option. Smaller than the national giants but with passionate devotees, it inspires strong regional devotion." - Eater Video

Updated: as of 3 hours after I ate the meal, I went home and vomited it up. Something was wrong with it. Whether it be the lettuce or the chicken. I won't be going back. ________________________________________ First off, the price to portion ratio isn't that great. A small fry, the sandwich and a small drink was 11.57. this meal looks to be worth 8 bucks at most. The sandwich was okay. Nothing to write home about. Reminded me of the grilled chicken from Whataburger. The Mayo gave it most of the flavor. It was juicy, but that was it. The lettuce in the sandwich was shredded. The picture on the menu shows a lettuce leaf. It was incredibly messy in a car. The fries were the star of the show. They weren't half bad. It tasted like a bowling alley fry, but well seasoned. Savory and almost BBQ seasoned. The lemonade was pretty tart and pretty sweet. I had to water it down with my death water to take it down a notch. Overall, it's alright. I was curious to go, and not from the area, but I think I'll stick with golden chick.

First time trying it and it was good!!!!!! Food was great but the biscuits are the star of the show. Aside for the amazing food… customer service was on point. Everyone, I mean everyone was so nice. We even got free dessert!!! I will be a regular!

Bojangles stands out as a great alternative to other chicken spots in the area. Their Cajun seasoning is flavorful and unique without being overwhelmingly spicy. I highly recommend trying their blueberry biscuits and seasoned fries—the fries have a perfect crunch that's really satisfying. When it comes to service, the staff were all friendly and attentive. What really surprised me, though, was how clean the restaurant was. When I went to grab a drink from the fountain machine, I didn’t see a single spill or droplet on the counter nor on any of the tables! That level of cleanliness is rare in fast food places, but this location was spotless!

This is my first time trying Bojangles. I went through the drive thru although the inside looked very welcoming and clean. The chicken tenders are big and crunchy! I love me some crunchy chicken. They have just a tiny hint of spice to them but nothing that would turn you off if you don’t like spicy. The inside meat was tender and clearly real chicken and not some kind of pressed stuff. The biscuit that came with the meal was so fluffy on the inside with a nice buttery crust on the outside. I can’t wait to try these biscuits with some of their sausage gravy! I got the fries as my side and they are very tasty and similar to a steak fry cut but thinner and a bit smaller. They were very good and I will definitely get them again. I always try coleslaw at any place I have never tried it before. It was delicious! The sauce was not overwhelming and the veggies were crisp and crunchy. I haven’t found a coleslaw lately that I would give a try a second time and this one is now on my list to have again and again. Sweet tea was good - nothing so outstanding I would stop by just for a drink but a very nice addition to the meal that I purchased and much better than drinking a soda. I will put them on my list to visit again and I think they will be my go to if I want chicken tenders for sure. I didn’t mind the ranch dip but I think I would rather have them with a honey mustard dip or the gravy. I hope that you will give them a try!

This was my first visit to Bojangles. I chose to go with the tenders and the mac and cheese with a sweet tea. The mac and cheese was your basic fast food mac and cheese but I enjoyed it. The chicken tenders were juicy with the right amount of kick. The best chicken tenders I've had in a while. I also added some Honey Mustard and Peach Honey Pepper sauce to my order. The Peach Honey Pepper was a great addition to the tenders. Don't pass on the sweet tea, it's worth a visit by itself.

This was the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten before. The service is really nice, makes food really fast in a family of 7. The atmosphere here is just any normal restaurant, but it did have a place to see them cook. The number 8 was the thing I ordered and it was the best choice I made. Id put ranch on it, the fries in the meal was really good seasoned. This restaurant could use more things in the menu. This restaurant is so peak🤞trust

Yelp
Service was amazing, Rebekah was helpful and very kind. Amazing smile. The food was really good. And the inside dinning was very delightful.

Yelp
Saw a new chicken spot so we had to try it! Stopped in and got the family meal with 12 tenders, Fries,Cole Slaw, and biscuits. All of the items were freshly prepared and tasty! The tenders were particularly good, large and marinated in a bit of spice. I definitely wouldn't go so far as to say they are spicy, but they do have some nice flavor. Fries were a bit salty, but crisp and fresh. I thought the biscuits were darn good, just the right texture and delish with some jelly. I am definitely comparing Bojangles to other fast food chicken! This was my first time and I would put it in my top 2 options. The service was great and I was greeted as soon as I walked into the nicely decorated and very clean restaurant.

Yelp
In all fairness, I'm posting another review. Came in for dinner (albeit, rather late in the evening at 8:30pm), and they were much more organized. I placed my order online, and it was waiting in the to go area. Now, heres where they lost me: my name was not called. After several minutes, someone asked if I was waiting on a to go order. It was quickly located and the food still hot, so it had not been waiting there long. The food was tasty. Breakfast experiences here have been absolutely horrible. Lunch/dinner seem to be a bit better.

Yelp
Chicken tenders were moist however, no flavor. They need to add some sort of seasoning or spice. French fries were not fresh and overly salted. Their dirty rice was acceptable and the biscuit basically good but, fairly dry so it needed some moisture or something to help it out. These guys would do a lot better if they had some sort of a hot sauce and perhaps even a gravy for dipping.

Yelp
It was okay. Chicken was not juicy, kind of heavy breading. Sandwich was ordinary. Fries were not worth the calories. Biscuit was a nice touch, but a little dry. Ordered drive through, ladies taking orders were very pleasant, kitchen could not keep up. All curbside and drive thru spots taken waiting for orders. Maybe just links they still need to work out.

Yelp
I've been waiting for this place to open, never had their chicken. Went by last Saturday morning and got their chicken biscuit absolutely fantastic. It's my understanding that they make fresh biscuits from scratch every 20 min at least that's what I've read. I went by the next Wednesday and got the 3 piece chicken strips. Best chicken strips I've ever had anywhere ever! They're huge, incredibly crunchy and juicy. They also have, I think, 7 different sauces. I particularly liked the peach honey pepper! The fry's are fantastic too, love the seasoning on them.

Yelp
Absolutely awful! We drove from Plano because we saw it on the way from our mothers and were super excited to try the famous chicken. This place only has freaking tenders. Freaking spicy tenders at that! They were horrendous! Everything was horrible...the mac horribe, the fries horrible, the lemonade horrible (tasted like it was the squeeze of that artificial lemon & not enough water to mix it) the tea was horrible! The blueberry biscuits were the only decent part of the meal but they are so dense you can only stand a few bites! Horrible! All the sauces were horrible! If that was homemade ranch it was horrendous! We threw our entire $25 meal directly in the trash! Beware!

Yelp
The service was amazing, we were promptly greeted the moment we walked in, the entire staff were very friendly and helpfu, very short time to wait for our food and the food was delicious. This was one of the best dine-in experience I have had in a long time. The manager Karon was super nice, my girlfriend left her purse on the chai, he ran out to our car bed we left to make sure she got it before we left. This was most definitely a 5 star experience.
