Fried Chicken Chain Bojangles Finally Opens in the Houston Area | Eater Houston

"Opened on January 21 as the first Houston-area outpost, this location brings the brand’s Southern-style offerings to the Richmond neighborhood. Expect hand-breaded fried chicken, the chain’s much-talked-about iced tea, and made-from-scratch fixins’ such as dirty rice and mac and cheese, plus buttermilk biscuits prepared via an involved, nearly 50-step process. The menu also includes newer and lighter options like salads, lemonade, and milkshakes, reflecting the company’s broader national expansion and focus on bold seasonings tailored for a diverse, food-loving market." - Brittany Britto Garley

This Bojangles location in Richmond, TX is great. The staff are friendly and polite, the food is hot and flavorful, and the place is clean and well-maintained. It’s a new store and you can tell they’re doing things right. No complaints—just a solid experience all around.

Google
I want to preface this by saying that I'm from Georgia, so I've been eating Bojangles for years. My daughter had already been to a Bojangles in Texas before this one opened. She'd let me know that they didn't have all of the menu items that we had at home. I was cautiously optimistic that this one did, but they only had tenders. I've been going to this location since they opened, mostly ordering myself chicken biscuits. Even though I was disappointed about not having bone in chicken, I didn't have any major complaints. Then, on 22 May 2025, I went there and got two 4 tender combos. I'm a weird eater. What I mean by that is that I don't bite into anything. I have to break it apart to eat. When I got to my biscuit, I broke it and noticed a white hair was baked into it. I'd just paid over $30 for two meals. I was going to go back to the restaurant that day but got caught up doing something else. I kind of forgot the incident. Then, on 26 May 2025, my daughter wanted to go there. I got a chicken sandwich meal. I asked them to make it deluxe and to put light salt on my fries. There was no lettuce or tomato on my sandwich, and the fries were extremely salty. I got the sandwich fixed, but I just gave up on the fries because my 11 year old had already taken some out.

Google
After all this time and this is what this restaurant taste like🤣 Ain’t no way boy. The chicken was the midest of mid. The dirty rice tasted watery and the tea🤣 There was absolutely nothing legendary about that. McDonald’s sweet tea hits harder than this🤣 Now the Bo berry biscuit was really good but I’m good off eating here again. The service was fast and nice though.

Google
Was my first time to any Bojangles last night and I was very impressed! I know a lot of these reviews complain about no bone in chicken here. Only tenders, but they are very flavorful! The seasoning is great and it was hot and fresh. The fries could’ve been a little better with a different cut but they had great flavor! Wasn’t crazy about the Bo sauce (it’s like horseradish) but I know there are plenty of other sauces. The tea here was great! also loved the biscuit and Bo berry biscuit. Wish they were cooked a little less, but tasted good otherwise. Definitely worth giving it a try if you like chicken tenders. I think the flavor is much better than canes. I’ll be back for sure! Can’t wait to try more here! Place is also pretty clean so that’s a plus.

Google
Everything was good…. Chicken was flavorful and crispy…. The chicken sandwich will not disappoint and the bread is a brioche bun… the potato rounds were my favorite paired with Bo’s sauce….. absolutely gonna return a few times

Google
Ive eaten here twice now, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Lunch I had their chicken sandwich with coleslaw and a sweet tea. The sandwich was like any other sandwich you might get somewhere else the slaw was just ok. Then the next day I had their breakfast biscuit and gravy, the biscuit was good but their country gravy super dry no taste whatsoever they should be ashamed to even call that gravy! Their Bos are their hash browns which are round and have a flavor of onions in them they were pretty alright. For the cost of these two meals was well over 20.00, did I get my monies worth No! Bojangles keep serving this type of food and I see you closing in less then 6 months, your competition is much better then what you have Whataburger across the street has way better biscuits and real gravy!

Google
Delicious!! I’ve been waiting since 2020 when it was announced to finally have Bojangles here! Breakfast food was really good - I would even say better than well established locations on the east coast. Restaurant is nice and clean, the service is nice, and food delicious. Driving 45 minutes was worth it. Only thing I didn’t like was the sweet cream iced coffee. It was nasty. Not for coffee drinkers who like sweet strong coffee lol but they refunded it no problem

Google
WHAT - NO BONE IN CHICKEN Yes, tenders only. Come in Bojangles, it's Texas, bigger is better and so is real whole fried chicken. So obvoisly we had tenders. Tenders - Ok Biscuit -Ok Cole Slaw - hmmmm Weak and tiny small serving that didn't even fill up the tiny container it came in. BBQ Sauce - Ok Peach Honey Pepper Sauce - Ahem... go with the BBQ sauce Hey one side of the paper menu is in Spanish -- 10 stars. Drive thru window was busy, (dining room area) so if you bring your laptop this is a great place to hang and not be bothered or interrupted. They need to gear it up Texas Style with bone-in chicken as a choice as they have the chicken tenders king (Chick-fil-A) right across the street. Yep, bring your laptop and enjoy the day.

Yelp
When I was younger Bojangles was pretty ubiquitous. The building with the yellow sign that said Bojangles fried chicken. They boasted having flavorful and hot fried chicken as well as big buttery and fluffy biscuits. Growing up, we didn't eat at fast food fried chicken restaurants. My parents were pretty healthy conscious and both are wonderful cooks so when it was time out of all our healthy (but totally delicious and scrumptious, my parents always made the healthier version of everything and it was delicious!) meals and enjoy a cheat meal, my Mum made the best fried chicken in the world and always made perfect potato wedges and delicious green peas. Therefore, there was no need to go out for fried chicken My Mum's fried chicken is still my favorite. Fast forward until now. I come home after working a 12 hour shift at the hospital and I wanted to take a shower and find something to eat before I went to sleep. I was watching YouTube and happened to press a short with a gentlman that was raving about how good Bojangles chicken biscuits were as well as their "boberrries" glazed biscuits. I was intrigued. Now, I do love a nice Chik Fil A chicken minis meal with oj but decided to order the Bojangles chicken biscuit combo with oj and hash browns. I also got the "boberry" glazed biscuit. Now, the chicken biscuit is huge! The chicken breast they put on it is huge, meaty, seasoned very well, and delicious. I cut that in half and put the other half in foil for the next day. Also, the hash brown rounds were flavorful and had shredded onion in them, yum, but they were big too so I put half of those with the rest of the chicken biscuit I saved for the next day. The hash brown rounds are delicious and fried to perfection! Not greasy at all! Yumzies. Now, to this day I haven't Googled exactly what a "boberry" is. The biscuit is huge and buttery. You can smell the butter more than the berry component, which I don't like. The biscuit was smothered in this white glaze that was thin but a lot of it. My sweet tooth immediately gets deactivated. I pinch off a little piece with the "boberry" in it and was immediately disappointed. It just tasted like a too sweet butter biscuit and the glaze was annoying. No thanks to the "boberry." Will I get a chicken biscuit from here again? Yes, I absolutely will but no time soon. Those calories are not that friendly, lol. Alright, im off to Google what a "boberry" truly is.

Yelp
I am a man that is well-versed in Bojangles-ology. So when I found out they opened one not too far from where I live, I knew I had to get over there! I was so excited to get some chicken. But there's a biiiiiig big problem with this specific Bojangles... They don't serve regular chicken! It's more of a Chick-fil-A, they have chicken tenders and sandwiches. The whole reason I was excited to go there was because of the actual chicken! Thighs! Legs! Wings! I took extra time reading the menu because I couldn't see any regular chicken and I swore that I was reading it wrong. Finally, the employee in fact confirmed that there is no chicken on the menu and they don't plan on serving it. Long story short, I got food because I was already there. The food was good, tenders had flavor. But I took a whole star off because they don't have regular chicken. If they bring that, I will consider adding that star. Definitely try it, but that disappointed me so much

Yelp
We went to try this new restaurant and it did not disappoint!!!! The service was excellent !! The food was sooooooo good!!! If you haven't tried it you should go see for yourself!!!! And I forgot to mention the fresh hot biscuits made fresh daily!!! You can actually see them roiling out the fresh biscuits !!! We absolutely LOVE BOJANGLES THE TAYLORS

Yelp
First time trying , but definitely won't be the last. Customer service was 100% , friendly , courteous and fast. Ordered a lot of things from the menu and the came out fast and hot. Food was amazing ! I think my favorites were the Chicken biscuit with honey mustard & the dirty rice were stand outs. Mac and cheese was just ok , peach cobbler just needed more juice. Overall 9/10

Yelp
I finally got to try Bojangles today, and I really enjoy the meal! I was able to try the breakfast options, and we got the Bo's chicken biscuit meal with fries and iced tea, the Egg & cheese biscuit meal with the Bo-tato rounds with soda, and 4 strips with jalepeno sauce and buffalo sauce. The Bo's chicken biscuit meal was really good. The chicken was tasty, and the biscuit is ok. It is not my favorite but I have no complaints about it. The fries are seasoned really well, and although I don't like the size/ shape of the fries, it tastes really goods, The Bo-tato rounds were also really good. The chicken strips were juicy and delicious, and the jalepeno ranch sauce and buffalo sauce were yummy! Some of the things I thought could be better were the egg & cheese biscuit and the iced tea. The egg tasted different and overall along with biscuit and cheese, it didn't stand out for me. I was disappointed with the iced tea. I had gotten half sweet tea and half unsweetened, but I didn't really taste the sweetness and tea. I think the biscuit can be more flakey and soft, but I find it to be more rough. The cashier and staff were really friendly and patient. We dined in, and staff walked around and asked a few times if we are doing ok. Restaurant was clean and good number of tables were available. Perhaps it was still early. I need to go back and try Bo's sauce next time and of course get the strips, sauces, rounds, and fries again!

Yelp
I had a really positive experience here! Understanding the reviews prior and that they've only been open for a week. I loved their chicken tenders! And Bo's sauce! One sauce was good enough for just the tenders. If you add fries, may want to get an extra one Docking one point because it was hard to find a clean table. They'll get better though!

Yelp
After the wait for this location, the excitement, the hype of some good southern eats....it was a total disappointment. Accustomed to what other locations provide, this one only had tenders and a few sides to select from, unlike other locations. I tried their famous biscuits and fries and was taken back by them, not in a good way. The customer service was decent and welcoming. The fries were EXTREMELY SALTY!!!! I literately had to wipe them off(could only eat a few before my head started hurting) and the biscuits were dry and cold. Hopefully this isn't the standard of what's to be expected from this new location

Yelp
A famous fried chicken shack from the southeast United States landed in this neighborhood. I was running around in the area and decided to pick up lunch from this chicken shack to eat at home. I went with the 3 pieces chicken strip combo meal with dirty rice, biscuit, soda, and Buffalo chicken dipping sauce. The chicken strips were meaty with a nice chili kick. It tasted nice with the dipping sauce. The biscuit was buttery and soft, very good. The dirty rice was forgettable, very bland. My cost was $11.49 which was competitive with other chicken shacks in the area. I prefer Popeye's because Popeye's has better sides and the chicken suited my taste buds more. Counter help was friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I was very hopeful about this place, but it was more or less a disappointment. First off, their menu is pretty limited with their entree options being either chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich. I had the chicken sandwich and while it tasted ok, it wasn't the best I've ever had. At their prices (not cheap) I might as well go to Chick-fil-A across the street for tenders or a sandwich that tastes more flavorful and healthier. Also, I'd expect a newer restaurant to be kept a little cleaner inside, as the fountain drink station was not that pleasant. All that being said, Bojangles has the potential to be great. The location is great and the customer service was on point, but the food itself is just lacking value.
google avatar

Yelp
Place was clean, the smells of chicken was amazing. You gotta get out here and try it. Best customer service Ever! There was a manager named Rob came out and asked us how we were doing and asked if we enjoyed the food . Great place

Yelp
Forget what everyone else says. This location hits hard! I go to Bojangles every time on the east coast (Atlanta, Virginia, and NC) and this houston location stands up right next to the originals! If not above in some aspects. The quality of the chicken I would say is a little higher and the crispiness of the Bo Rounds are above as well. I had a #1 and it blew me out the park with its tastiness (especially since other reviews were negative to this location). The service here was top notch an and the ambiance is clean and chill. You don't feel rushed at all and you are made to feel taken care of!
google avatar

Vanesa V.

Yelp
The chicken strips are really good and flavorful. Has a spicy kick to it so I was unable to share them with my kids. The sides on the other hand were not good. The fries were super salty and the biscuit was mediocre.
google avatar

Dave P.

Yelp
Don't understand why this place isn't busier. I got the strips and they were really good, big portion and not dry. Gravy was really good. Service was great too. Definitely planning on going back!

Yelp
My husband and I randomly decided to try this place. We went on a fly. We didn't know they only sold chicken tenders, and not chicken wings. Well we tried the chicken sandwich BLT, which was pretty good when paired with the jalapeño ranch. Fries got cold quick despite eating it immediately when they handed the food over to us. Dirty rice was good, but a little salty. Bo berry biscuit was okay. Place is overall pretty clean since it just opened . However , the floor by the drink station was wet with no wet sign. Also noted a soaked wet towel on the floor. It was a decent experience overall

Yelp
Maybe it's just new. Service was subpar line at drive thru was slow. Had to park and go inside. Not very organized there was a discussion as to who was actually going to run the register after standing there for a couple minutes. Not short staffed at all. Not what I was hoping for after having been to other locations in Alabama. We don't need another canes, or zaxby's slinging tenders. Was hoping for southern fried chicken with bones like the older locations around the south . This probably won't last long.
google avatar

Angela V.

Yelp
New location was on point! Everything was fresh and packaged perfectly. Drive through moved well enough considering it's, family style ordering. Order was repeated clear which was great. Didn't dine inside so not sure what the vibe is there. Order a family deal with Mac,Dirty Rice and Slaw and oh man oh man the family was so silent. The dips were great too! Stop in and get some yumyum chicken!!!
google avatar

Mashal M.

Yelp
Food was really good. They served the largest large fry I've ever seen lol. Staff was really friendly and the dining area and bathrooms were very well kept.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Food was cold and cashier was a little on the rude side drive through was slow at taking the order
google avatar

Martin D.

Yelp
The place just opened a week ago. How are there reviews from a year ago? Interesting... Anyways, $12 for a 3 piece tender combo is crazy. Where is the bone-in chicken? We already have Canes and Layne's tenders. We don't need more tenders, especially at that price. Biscuits were ok & staff was friendly.

James O.

Yelp
Bojangles ignored customers. Tried to make a few extra bucks by taking bone-in chicken off the menu. There are already 1000 chicken strip shops. No point in going. You are trying to force people to eat the part of the menu they don't like as much. Stupid management.
google avatar

Yelp
The newest chicken joint in town is the southern staple Bojangles. Unlike many locations in the South that offer fried chicken dinners, this location only has tenders and sandwiches. They are also known for their biscuits and ice tea. The tenders were large and crispy delicious but had a lot of breading. I paired my 3 piece dinner with their home made ranch dressing. For a side I had their dirty rice. The rice was good but not great. My husband had cole slaw which was, again, good, but not great. The biscuits were big and dense. We had to ask for butter to lather them up. We also had their peach cobbler that satisfied our sweet tooth. My husband enjoyed his sweet tea but I was not a fan of the unsweetened offering. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As you enter everyone says "Welcome to Bojangles" including the cooks hollering from the back. This location was clean and inviting. We went early evening on a Friday and they were not at all busy. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Unfortunately it is a bit of a drive from our house so it won't be high on our list. But it is a worthy place among the many options for chicken tenders in town.

Yelp
I have a Florida friend that has been telling me that Bojangles has the best chicken in the country. Pretty stout words from Robert, so when they finally moved into this part of the world, I knew I had to try it. I heard crazy things about the grand opening - traffic, lines, etc, so I knew better than to go that week. However, I couldn't wait past the 2nd week, so off we went. Traffic was still bad, but fortunately we were able to find a decent parking spot. Getting into the business required waiting, but the line moved pretty quickly. Menus were prominently available, and we made good use of them to make ordering easier and quicker. I have been on a quest for the best chicken sandwich and decided quickly to go with that and added buffalo sauce to spice it up. Since they are known for their breakfast, we also wanted to try the Bo-Berry Biscuits. Food was ready incredibly fast considering how busy they were. Finding a seat was an adventure, but we found an open table outside. So how was it? Overall, it was good. The Bo-Berry Biscuits were outstanding! My chicken sandwich was good, and my wife liked the chicken strips. However, as much as I liked it, I would not place the sandwich in my top 3. Good, but not the best. Will I return? Definitely when in that area of San Antonio.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
This review is merely based on the friendly service and their BoBerry Biscuits. The place is tiny. Not enough room for a family to share a meal unless you eat outside. The service was exceptional. We chose not to eat there tho because we don't really do strips and was wanting some of their actual chicken. They ONLY have chicken strips and sandwiches. Now for the BoBerry Biscuits. $18 a dozen. Delicious. Quite the unusual, yet pleasant treat. Worth going just for that!

Yelp
Fast, friendly service... i've been looking forward to trying the new Bojangles in San Antonio. We tried several in Virginia, so we were excited to get some of those great tasting, buttery breakfast biscuits. We order the Steak, egg, cheese biscuit and sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. Very fresh, hot, buttery and tasted great! Staff was great and very eager to assist. I noticed they only have chicken tenders at this location. Looking forward to going back for some spicy chicken tenders with dirty rice.
google avatar

Mac W.

Yelp
The service was excellent we sat outside and enjoyed the ambiance. The blue berry biscuits are a hit. The chicken sandwich was seasoned and fried to perfection. The tenders are good as well. The peach cobbler biscuit was surprisingly good. And the lemonade was a hit. Will try the tea next time. They came outside and asked everyone were they good multiple times. The food was good.
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
Positives: Chicken tasted pretty good, well seasoned Services was decent Food was hot and freshly cooked I'm giving this a 1 star because this tastes NOTHING like the bojangles in the south. I get that they're trying to go the chicken tenders route. That's no excuse to change the entire recipe. The biscuit was atrocious and the sweet tea wasn't that sweet. This is downright fraudulent to charge people all this money because you know they're going to be hyped about the idea of an established chain like Bojangles opening in TX......only to serve them something that tastes nothing like what they're expecting. If you've eaten at bojangles in the south, and you're expecting that same taste DO NOT EAT HERE. I've eaten at bojangles in NC and GA and this far below expectations
google avatar

Christy B.

Yelp
Service was great and the chicken, we'll definitely give chick fil a a run for their money!!! 1000 times better than chick fil a and they have pepsi products!!!
google avatar

Vianca F.

Yelp
Eh.. I wasn't overly impressed. I ordered the chicken sandwich and was given an option to choose from Deluxe (lettuce and tomato) or BLT(bacon, lettuce and tomato), I ordered the deluxe because I didn't feel like bacon that day.. well to my surprise, it came with bacon. I do have to say though, the chicken was beautifully flavored. Dirty rice was a disappointment unfortunately. It tasted more of the "Uncle Bens, microwaveable" packages. I'll probably try them again and stick with the tenders and biscuits.
google avatar

Cheyara C.

Yelp
Do not believe the social media hype. This is not the standard of Bojangles. I grew up in Tennessee and we had Bojangles there and this is not what I remembered. They don't even have the full menu of a traditional Bojangles for so that's half the problem right there. The macaroni and cheese is nasty, the peach cobbler is nasty, they only have chicken strips, and they don't even do their sides well. The best thing that they had was the sauce for the chicken fingers. I'm not sure why these people are lying on social media. If you know of Bojangles being from another state you will not like this location or the food they have to offer because it does not taste the same. Would not recommend. They could have kept this Bojangles.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Fake pictures and reviews. How can you have legit pictures/reviews from over a year ago when you just opened this location. Shady business practice. Will not go here.

Big Daddy J.

Yelp
First time. Good food, staff is super friendly. Much better than Canes. Biscuits are made the way biscuits should be: fluffy inside with a nice crisp on the outside. Fries and dirty rice is awesome.

Brenda B.

Yelp
Biscuits & chicken tenders are really good! Chicken well seasoned Definitely will come back
google avatar

Cindy R.

Yelp
I really liked my meal from Bojangles. Only thing, they got our order wrong the first time, he ordered the rice and got macaroni (it was delish btw) and second time they gave my husband the wrong sauce. I mean, it happens! The chicken, in our opinion, has better flavor than some of the other area chicken joints, and that makes us happy. Haven't had the opportunity to go inside, but the drive thru is pretty quick. We'll go back, but for sure check our order before driving away.

Francis Y.

Yelp
chicken fingers better than cane's, biscuit better than popeye's, white gravy better than whataburger, staff as firendly as chik fil a. what's not to like?
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
First time here. Was excited to try a new chicken place for the first time. The staff was very friendly. The drive-through was very efficient and the pricing seem to be very fair. I ordered their basic chicken sandwich and asked for it to be a BLT. My meal came out very quickly. The sandwich was very hot very thick, very juicy and had a good flavor to it. However, they forgot my bacon. I was already down the road so I was not able to go back in as the traffic on the street they are on is not always favorable. Their fries are very good steak fries lots of seasoning, very crispy, and a good portion. I also got the peach cobbler, which unfortunately does not match the size or the look of what is advertised on the drive-through menu. It was, however, very delicious, flaky and packed full of flavor while the size was very disappointing. I would recommend eating it quickly as I do not believe it would be very good reheated. Overall good atmosphere good customer service good flavoring on their food however, I don't know if it matches up to other chicken sandwiches offered by other fast food establishments not sure that this would be a go to place for chicken. It's not bad I don't want to give a false impression I'm just not sure that it's upper echelon compared to others on the market.
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
My daughter treated us to some Bojangles food was good but no utensils or napkins and they also didn't give us any sauce forgot one of our meals until we asked for it overall I may try it again or maybe not
google avatar

Robert F.

Yelp
Ordered #4, did not get my steak patty, just cheese and egg, no fork for my berry muffins and no napkins at all, first time here and no never again. I'll go to whataburger because they get their orders right.
google avatar

Angelica G.

Yelp
I came when they 1st opened. I like the chicken strips they are a little spicy, and the biscuits are awesome. You can see while they mix the dough. It's clean the prices are like everywhere else. I will be coming back. Thank you for reading.

Yelp
Came to this new restaurant in San Antonio, I always go to the one in North Carolina and they have everything on there menu, I go to the one in Cari. I walked in and was excited to to get my favorite meal which is the chicken egg and cheese biscuit, to my disappointment they did not service it here at the time, only for breakfast. I took photos and ordered the fries only and they were good and hot. Since I can not go during their breakfast time I will not be eating there unless for some reason I can go in the morning. I hope they go back to their normal routine of serving everything. I am looking forward when I get back to NC to get my favorite breakfast sandwich. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were also clean.

Yelp
I'm sad to see this place has such low ratings. I stopped in after work and it was busy, but the employees kept the line moving. We received our food quickly and it was nice and hot. I had the Chicken sandwich and I really liked how flavorful the chicken was. The Mac and cheese was delicious and apparently made in house. The biscuit was also not too sweet and had just the right amount of tartness. We spoke to one of the owners and he explained how they make their sauces in house as well as most of their food. Definitely give this place a try. They do have only a part of their menu, but what they have, they do very well.
google avatar

Madison M.

Yelp
This is a new location in San Antonio and the chicken biscuits were amazing. The atmosphere was bright and had a lot of natural light. The line was very long since it's only been open a week. It's obviously a beloved chain. Despite the line being long, the staff was very quick. I will say seating is very space. It only have 1 table that seated more than 2. We ordered the: BoBerry Biscuits: very delicious, ultra sweet. Chicken biscuits w/ gravy: amazing, surprisingly spicy. Mac and cheese: same as CFA Fries: very seasoned Chicken sandwich: great Unsweet tea: typical
google avatar

Renee J.

Yelp
I am from the East Coast so I am familiar with Bojangles. I was excited to hear they were on their way to San Antonio so I had to try it out. This particular restaurant is smaller with a scaled down menu. We got some blueberry biscuits to take home and I was so excited because they were fresh. The service was good and the dining area was very clean but I was so disappointed when I got my biscuits home and they had no frosting on them.
google avatar

Brianna V.

Yelp
Delicious food! Super nice workers and maintained their good attitudes even with how extremely busy they were. Inside was nice but not much seating. More seating outside. I do recommend ordering inside due to long lines that come out onto Potranco Rd. There was barely any line and the wait was super short! We are coma full!! We had to try their chicken strips, Mac n cheese, fries, dirty rice, regular biscuits and the blueberry biscuits! Washed it all down with perfectly sweetened tea! Alllllll of the food was so dang good! You can't go wrong with anything you order! They have auntie in the kitchen windows hand kneading the biscuits!! They are phenomenal!!!!

Yelp
Yoooooooooo! I was so excited to have Bojangles come to San Antonio. I tried it before when I was in North Carolina. At that time they were offering a pork chop biscuit which was so good I not only had it every morning of the three days I was there, I ordered two on my way to the airport, ate them before going through security, saw a Bojangles once I got through security and ordered two more to take back with me. Much to my sadness they only offer there at limited times. Still I was down to try it. I went on July 31 when they opened, but the drive thru line was all the way down Potranco. As I was on my lunch, I planned to go back later in the evening after work. I went back close to 8pm and they literally had shut down for the day. The drive thru was still packed but they were taking no more people. So wild. Fast forward to today and I got in there ready to give it a go. Again, drive thru packed so the guy that greeted you outside suggested I go inside. So that's what I did and was second in line. Customer service was fantastic and they answered any questions. So I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender meal, and also a grilled chicken sandwich just to try it. The grilled chicken sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I ordered it no mayo but added bacon and cheese. And pickles. You have to ask for pickles. This sandwich was delicious. They forgot my lettuce and tomato, but it was juicy and well seasoned. The bun was nice and buttery. I would order this thing 20x. The chicken tenders come with a side, a biscuit and a drink. The tenders were meaty and crispy with a thick crust. Nice sized. They are a little spicy. And before I get the I eat ghost peppers like popcorn person telling me they aren't spicy, I'm thinking of it from the perspective of my 8 year old who treats chicken tenders as a religion lol little bit spicy. I think he'd power through though because they are good. My fries were hit or miss. They are skinny steak fries. Well seasoned. But some were too crispy to bite, some seemed undercooked, and most were just right. The biscuit is heaven. Goodness so good. I'm already dreaming of a breakfast sandwich and remembering that pork chop biscuit. Sweet tea is pretty good as well. As far as the restaurant, the inside is tiny. Maybe 4-6 2 person tables. Most of the seating is outside. Good before the sun gets going. But if the drive thru stays hopping you're gonna be sitting right next to non-stop cars. But overall, I am so happy Bojangles is here. And I hope they open several more. I don't think they will have a problem becoming a local favorite. I'll definitely return many times. And if they bring that pork chop biscuit, just stay out of my way! Haha Lastly, I do have to say I am disappointed they don't have the bone in chicken. I came back and dropped a star for that. Why don't we get the full menu? You're also not on the Bojangles app. Please fix these things going forward.

Yelp
I'd like to start by saying the service sucks. The girl at the counter who appeared to be training a guy would just turn around and IGNORE YOU when you went to the counter to ask for something. What a joke. They were out of ice in the dining room, ( I get it it was busy) so you have to ask the cashier for ice, she made eye contact with me and TURNED AROUND and just stood there. I would understand if she was busy... but anyways. Food was mid. Fries needed more season, the biscuits were dry, the sweet tea wasn't sweet. I'm from NC, like many others, and I was really looking forward to this Bojangles opening, but I don't see myself going out of my way to come here. No mashed potatoes? No fried chicken, no supremes ... really the only good thing about this place is the fries in my opinion. I'd rather order the season online and make my own at home at this point. If they choose to open another location, I hope they learn a few things from this one.

Yelp
I know the lines have been long here since it opened, but I swung by at 7 AM before work on a Wednesday and there was only one car in front of me. Yay! I got lucky or maybe it was just too early. I decided to try a breakfast sandwich and a blueberry biscuit. I was told that there is a limit on how many blueberry biscuits you can order. I didn't really understand her, so I don't know how many you can order. I ordered two orders. Each order comes with two biscuits. The blueberry biscuits are drizzled with powdered sugar icing. Everyone love them at work. Their little hash brown rounds are perfect. They are a great size to snack on while driving. The sandwich was good too. The price was excellent. They do have inside and outside seating. Parking is available on site. I need to return for dinner.

Yelp
Grand Opening, I expected the wait; up to 2 hours inside. Small seating arrangement inside. Larger tables are available outside. Service is very slow; there were plenty of workers, but they couldn't prepare the orders fast enough. Food was prepared and ready for packing, but they seemed to be reading and preparing the orders slow. I ordered the #12 combo, 5 tenders with fries and drink. I ordered an extra side, Mac & Cheese, and a side of Bo-berry biscuits. Like I mentioned, they are not packing the orders fast enough; chicken was dry barely warm; fries were very salty. The only side available for medium portions is the fries. The Mac & Cheese regular portion side is very small; it's not worth the price. Maybe when the rush dies down in a month or so, they may be worth it. I'm sure the food will taste better, freshly served HOT.

Yelp
Horribleness!!! Not what you expect a Bojangles to be. They have a very limited menu and the blueberry biscuits are all that they have worth stopping for unless you are a chicken strip aficionado.

Yelp
At first walking through the doors the level of cleanliness was top notch- especially for fast food. Service was welcoming, quick, and helpful. The manager made his rounds asking everyone if the needed anything. The food was plenty flavourful and seasoned well. The blueberry biscuits were delicious!
