First time visit, and we went to the U-District location. We ordered the Bulgogi Tacos and the "OG Wings". My Korean GF, a Korean Fried Chicken expert ;), opened up her order of chicken once we got home and discovered what seemed to be a bunch of tiny drumsticks. From a seriously small chicken (sorry, poor chicken :( So, we called Bok a Bok, and got a hold of Alex. We live about a 15 mins drive away, and they were closed by the time we got home. Alex seemed nice, said "huh, that doesn't sound right." and I offered to send a picture (see picture below). He said that would be great, he may not reply til the following day but we'll "set this right" (or to that effect). Next day, I get an email which basically consisted of a quick online/email lecture (he included the 2nd picture below!) on the difference between "drumettes" and "flats", and how they relate to "wings". In short: Alex said what we think of as "wings" from other restaurants is split up into "drumettes" and "flats" by Bok a Bok's supplier, and we would typically get 50% drumettes and 50% flats in an order. From our picture, he determined we strangely got mostly drumettes--but we can always request more flats next time! \:D/ Did he "make things right", like he replies to all of the negative reviews on here? Ummm, no. He taught us about their "chicken wings" and basically said "hope to see you again soon". In short: the bulgogi tacos were "ok", the chicken was not particularly good but was edible. The "wings" were more like "tiny clipped wings" at best. Not much meat. Alex maintains there were a couple "flats" in there--we don't see 'em in the picture below. Add in lame customer service, and... yeah, thanks for "making it right" Alex! Not so much... Ironically, we left a tip for the carry out. Hopefully Alex didn't get any of it.
